Recap W 12/11 ~ Still babying myself & no morning workout. Will be glad when I'm done taking meds.
    1) Move hourly / stairs breaks / 5 somethings = Fitbit 12,511 steps, 250+ 13/14 & 37 floors
    2) Breakfast, lunch & snacks prelogged / not sure of supper since will be at happy hour with former colleagues / preview menu online for choices & stick w/ plan / best guess for food long / net calories zero / 14c water = Didn't meet up w/ friends & not in mood to fix supper so picked up healthy(ish) sandwich & soup and logged best guess. Late evening, hungry from all the decorating/cleaning/multiple stairways trips (again) so ate unplanned snacks. Net calories -217  , sodium -1,409 :s , sugar green, fiber low :( , protein ok, 14c water
    3) PA-F testing :) / catch up Inbox! / more chapter emails :# forgot EMT Admin is between old/new jobs, he left no forwarding email w/ me & I had to deal w/ finding someone to answer member questions about upcoming courses... just great
    4) Evening: skip adult beverage, enjoy NA beverage, stick w/ meal choice & enjoy company of friends so sad I missed seeing my friends :( / winter market :) / shop online for hubby no time / prep gifts & cards to be mailed no time / decorate more  all Christmas decorations up, now just have 2 boxes of snowman decorations / other? :) put away all clean dishes, RSVP'd to J's invite, took photo of full moon over house (gorgeous sight)
    5) UNPLUG 9:00 :) except logging food / FLOSS  / RETAINERS  / bed & tv off 10:20 :( still sleeping fitfully

JFT R 12/12 ~ Workplace "mindful" hike at lunchtime today ~ winter storm on its way & heavy snow s/b falling then, will be fun & I'm so excited to walk trails outside again! Missed last week's hike due to sickness.
    1) Change & leave on time for hike (< 5 min. drive to meeting spot)
    2) Move hourly / stairs breaks / 5 somethings
    3) Meals & snacks prelogged / planned eating at desk due to hike / net calories zero / 14c water
    4) Advent devotional / choir 6:30 / shop online for hubby (whatever comes late will be his Jan. bday gift  ) / prep gifts & cards to be mailed / make apple crisp? / other?
    5) UNPLUG 9:00 / floss / retainers / bed & tv 10:20

Feeling better bit by bit, only three more days on steroids. Hopefully my sleep will settle once I'm done with meds. Sleep troubles may also be due to trying to cram too much into each day, since I was out of commission last week. Know this should be short-term.

Thanks for all of the prayers. The MRI was normal which is a huge relief. Unfortunately, we still don't know what happened. God has this though, and I take strength from that.

No real goals for today, but to enjoy the day.

No news is good news @pridesabtch - hope and pray for you that it was a one-off. Knee your faith and move forward.

I’m late jumping on here today as we had the hospital first thing this morning. Delighted to announce that the dreaded drains are out!! And the wires and the dressing and I now just have a minimal dressing as all is healing well. I’m so relieved. Next step will be to meet with my consultant next Thursday and then I can go home to my babies!! Halfway through the day and halfway through my goals but wanted to post while I remember x

    Thursday goals recap:
morning routine - empty drains, meds, dress ✅
    Post op exercises x4 ✅ ✅ ✅ ✅
    Protein and veggies ✅
    8 glasses water ✅
Find someone to sort gutters of house ❎

    Friday goals:
morning routine - empty drains, meds, dress ✅
    Hospital appointment 9:30am ✅ 😃
    Post op exercises x3 ✅ ✅
    Protein and veggies
    8 glasses water
    Buy gift wrap ❎

    Happy Friday everyone! X

@AJB1014 not sure if you've already had the 3hr fasting glucose test or not and what weather you in, access etc but... walk during the 3hours you're waiting, & continue to schedule time to walk, swim?, whatever gentle exercise you can. Exercise improves your cells ability to uptake the glucose in your system.

Didn't make it to the gym this am but have eaten well so far today. Need to stop cruising so much on the computer. Wish the holidays were over already, there's all this mental pressure/stress to shop, decorate, get together, et al and don't want to do any of it.

Morning all, happy weekend. I am so bored and actually a little lonely (sis has gone to yoga) but I’m still flying high with the relief of being drain-free and feeling positive about recovery.

Not many plans for today, although I would love something to distract me! I’m going to see if I can cook something for my sister and hopefully make some plans to help the last few days up here pass quickly. X

    Friday goals recap:
morning routine - empty drains, meds, dress ✅
    Hospital appointment 9:30am ✅ 😃
    Post op exercises x3 ✅ ✅
    Protein and veggies ✅
    8 glasses water ✅
    Buy gift wrap ❎

    Saturday goals:
morning routine - meds, dress, fibre drink ✅
    Post op exercises x4
Go for a walk in park
    Protein and veggies
    8 glasses of water
    Gift wrapping?
