Today at physio I was given exercises to prepare my to return to curling and got scaled back to just every two weeks. She didn't ask if I had returned to curling so I didn't tell her I was planning on this after lunch

Thanks it's great. She said today she thinks the surgeon will be very pleased at my next follow up because while I didn't hit every target on his insane protocol I'm miles ahead of where most are at this stage. I worked hard though and my body just responds to stuff like this. I'm odd but I thank my Nana who was a runner for the athletic genes1 -
Let’s get it!!!!0

AliNouveau wrote: »So a year or so ago my friends and I found out about this big event in Austria. The winter world masters games. It's an Olympic style event with lots of other sports. We got a team together and sadly I decided it was more important to be able to skate for the rest of my life and I had my shoulder surgery. The girls are all heading to Austria today and tomorrow. It's a little bittersweet but I'm realizing I don't miss the drama and the nerves at all. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to team skate again, I can always compete on my own (eek it's been like 35 years since I did that) but with my new shoulder I should be able to skate forever and curl.
That's long. Haha. We all have setbacks and disappointments but we need to just soldier on and not allow these to defeat us. I guess focus on the future. We can't control the little things that happen but we can control our reaction to them
Sometimes you have to take care of yourself first, even if it sucks. Never give up, I know you will be back better than ever!1 -

Heading down to Atlantic City to relax and get some gambling in. And I may have to visit the buffet ...0 -
I have had a long running campaign at work to get us to use Latex rather than Word for our production reports. After a 5 year campaign, I have 0 supporters from the other 96 staff.
It's odd that 96 people can be so wrong.
I'm off for a climb tonight, and then to a young person's birthday tomorrow.2 -

This was a rough week on the road. Work stress, little sleep, poor food choices -- and the pizza and beer for dinner last night when I went out with the wife have all resulted in my feeling toxic this morning.
Today is a day for water and a long walk in the unseasonably warm temperatures. Tomorrow, I re-set.3 -
I get the spend the morning cleaning up the mess my cat left in my house this week. After having just finished up an extensive clean last weekend! And to top it off, I got to re-launder a kitchen rug I had just washed thanks to another cat expelling the breakfast he just ate onto it.
*sigh* the joys of pet ownership lol

Yay we won curling
Booo I'm super sore. By about the 5th end I was running out of steam. Thank goodness we only played two more. Sweeping became an issue after that but yay for getting back at it
Happy weekend middle agers4 -

Owning cats? I don't think so. Dogs have masters. Cats have staff.
