    1251 today. Walking and bike still have the ufc training for today to do.

    I've been away for most of this week (I thought the challenge would start on the 1st September) so I may be a bit behind this week... I have effectively 4 days to burn 5000 - a lot per day for a girl of 140lbs >_< Have strength training, combat and pump and a walk planned for tonight!

    how do you like the ufc trainer? I was considering getting that, I love ufc and it seems like a good workout?!

    Tues-1296 calories burned- (35 min on elliptical, 60 minutes walk/jog dvd 12 min/mile)
    Wed- 1174 calories burned - (80 minutes on elliptical)
    Thurs- 242 calories burned (28 minutes of 30 day shred, level 1)

    I want a heart rate monitor too! My friend has one and he says its hard to believe what the monitor is reading because he burns way more than he thought he was.

    Mon 641 - running and walking (and doing something nasty to my calf!)
    Tues 698 - a few hours walking
    Wed 1264 - a good bit of walking, and a nice long swim.
    Thurs 1354 - swimming, elliptical, walking, static back, resistance

    Total - 3957 / 5000

    Three days to go. I think I'll make it. :-)

    I feel I'm at a disadvantage - I've had my metabolism tested both resting and exercising, and I know exactly how many calories I burn per minute of exercise at different heart rate levels. At 126-135, 7.2 calories. At 136-144, 10.2. If I exceed 144, I count 12. I look at the calorie burn of some of you and WISH my metabolism weren't so sluggish!) So here's my progress so far:

    Height: 5'5"
    Starting weight: 171.8

    Monday: 768 calories - (Seated elliptical 50 min - 360 calories) (Standing elliptical 40 min = 408 calories)
    Tuesday: 951 calories - (Hiking, 45 min = 411 calories) (Walking 4mph, 51 min = 540 calories)
    Wednesday: 771 calories (kayaking, 2 hours)
    Thursday: 784 calories (Seated elliptical 45 min - 324 calories) (Standing elliptical 45 min = 460 calories)

    Haven't worked out today yet. Have a kayak trip tomorrow!
