Kate UK - Yes, any medical intervention is a mystery to DH. I have been hinting for years that he ought to see someone about his prostate problems, but he is soooooo not a doctor fan. It's his choice.
I've been so tired today. Just coming to. I did 360 bonus calories today by rowing and biking while watching a sad documentary on a gay porn star. Very interesting. I had 30 minutes nap afterwards. Knackered.
I've overindulged on the snacks like peanut butter, but still ok for calories.
We will be going out tonight to the French Circle. I would rather stay at home, but the show must go on. I know I would be unhappy with myself if I didn't go. I always enjoy it. In a month's time I have to give the thank you speech, so I hope to gain some tips.

At work, lunch was reduced sodium tuna, black beans, romaine, and butternut squash with a touch of ranch. I added a small bit of butter to squash and cooked in microwave about 5 mins. Took a while to soften up. Just added to salad. Colorful and tasty.
It is snowing. Starting to stick to grass but pavement really warm.

My brother and I were both there beside her for a peaceful death. Wonderful, respectful care. Obviously it wasn't like that in every case, but I feel it is a shame it was discontinued. The guidelines should have been tightened, not abandoned. So many people do not understand death, or accept its inevitability. My mother only experienced love and peace. She was religious, so we had the hospital's woman priest come to say a few words with her before they put her on heavy morphine. She said my mother's lips moved to the Lord's Prayer. I was, and am, moved by that. (I am not religious, but it helped her).
Love to you and may the memory of your friend as she was grow stronger.

Heather I read that entire protocol, & it would definitely have been a blessing properly administered to a consenting patient. There should never have been financial incentives for hospitals or providers for putting people on the protocol. Instead, the incentive money should have applied toward mandatory annual training & a proficiency exam for everyone administering it to patients. If they had done that, the LCP would still be utilized & would be a model upon which other countries would formulate their own protocols. A real shame.
Familiar ritual (The Lord's Prayer in this case) is one of the most comforting and soothing things for terminally ill people.

Kelly- JR sits eats them plays at Chuckie cheese 🧀 depends on the kids y how many adults the ages of the kids. (JR has to be followed around, but his older cousins can run off alone (preteens) play come back if thirsty or hungry while us adults eat y drink. )JR is a picky eater so if he hates the first bite he’ll refuse to eat at a location (more praying his first bite isn’t burnt ,stale, too much seasoning, not enough of something, etc ) .If he likes it good luck getting him away from the table he’ll put eat the adults!
Daughter 20yrs ago we went alone no party package maybe brought a couple older relatives. They ate but me y Nicole didn’t we played would eat when we got home. Daughter didn’t want to stop to eat type.

YEP! a mouthful--or rather a handful!! I'nm a violinist but suspect all the cello modeling I do with the kiddos has caused the real problem. Tuning all those little instruments is also a cause, lots of pinching, twisting and grabbing motions, repetitive overuse.

I had this, called it "thumb tendonitis" because the medical name was such a tongue twister. Did PT, then had a cortisone shot which maybe helped for 6 months. Finally had the release surgery, and very happy I did it.
Prior to that I couldn't even reliably grasp a coffee cup. HORRORS!!! Mine was due to years of holding fiber between my thumb and index finger while hand spinning yarn. The same motion you describe - pinching, twisting and grabbing.
I still get a little numbness and tingling in the thumb and index finger at times, but nothing like it was.
Good luck - glad they narrowed the source of your discomfort! I was wondering if you'd gotten a good diagnosis and it appears you have!

Update on Josephine the Ballerina
Josephine "rang the bell" and got her certificate for completing radiation! Still has more chemotherapy, still in hospital, still in wheelchair.

Karen VA ~ Thanks for the update on Josephine. Her good spirits show through the photograph.
Karen NY ~ So sorry about the injury. I can't imagine how you can do your job in that situation. Healing thoughts for you.
My dentist has urged me to get a mouth guard due to my teeth grinding/clinching. I got one off Amazon and there is no way I can use it because it is way too big and uncomfortable. I bought another one today called DenTek that only has a narrow plastic wire connecting the two small pieces that keep you teeth separated. I think it will work. Evidently, I have a very small mouth. Wish that was true of the rest of me...LOL
DH has decided that we need to buy extra food items to keep in case the virus becomes worse in the US. Will listen to the President's speech this evening and hope good things will come.

Carol- Wish Hubby would agree to let us stock up on more foods. The one time he won’t let me be a food hoarder ! Lol isn’t that ironic. Good news is still got the giant bag of rice at least more than some will have.
