Still running, combating stress, anxiety and depression, all the while knowing I need to reduce the mileage due to rationing food. The running keeps me sane. I still have to work since I work in mental health, but the fear that any time I could be bringing this home to my mother.
One foot in front of the other, left, right, repeat!

Someone give me a push, I’m trying to work up to running in my neighborhood and it’s chilly. Hate running my neighborhood, and the thought of trading beautiful parks with wildlife for broken sidewalks filled with randos selling drugs and waving guns around for the next few months is getting me down. I’m getting ready but I keep looking at the clock and I’m moving super slow.
If some dude can run a marathon on a balcony and @quilteryoyo can run in her driveway I need to shut the stuff up and get out there! It’s a privilege these days to be able to run! I gotta get on top of the game mentally somehow.16 -
@TheMrWobbly I found an 'I ran it anyway' virtual race with half and full marathon options and had ordered it before I did my 'race'... silly but it was like the carrot in front of the donkey (can't give up, have to earn the damn bling as it's already paid for!) I think @polskagirl01 was going to get herself one, too. Will post a pic when it arrives :-)
Also, I'm in awe of those consecutive weekend HMs... I wanna be like you when I grow up! Getting to a place where I'm permanently HM ready without ending up injured is my goal.

Husband brought home 2 loaves of bread today plus lots of yeast packets. I'm so excited to bake bread, pancakes, biscuits, tortillas, empanadas, pasta, cakes, and cookies. The silver lining throughout all of this is I am now learning how to bake and cook things I would not typically bake or cook and enjoying it!!! I'm disappointed he brought home the bread because I actually like baking it.
I need to pull my kid out of the house. She needs to go on a bike ride or run. We live in a beautiful neighborhood and there just isn't a reason great enough not to get out and get some exercise. I'll see if I can't get her to run with me.
Gym husband uses is closed down.
Online school for my kids starts on Monday.

Lots of great running happening here! You all inspire me. Cycling is getting boring but I find things to listen to. Getting the Peloton today for a trial run. Still missing the fresh air but I will put in in front of my sliding glass deck doors and open the windows until it starts to really heat up here.
I sent a care package to my son stuck in NYC. Even though Cuomo called for “shutdown” to all non-essentials, his boss informed him that he is “essential” and expects him at the client site (not a hospital anything important – a large hotel upgrade ??? ) I am prepping him to expect to get the virus since its bad in NYC right now. Told him what the symptoms are and sent him some wipes/purell from my bottle, some Tylenol and some pumpkin bread. Couldn’t send him a thermometer as they are all gone. I hope he listens to me and gets a few weeks of food so that he can quarantine – his roommates are all gone.

Yay @hamsterwheel6 on your 15K! and @TheMrWobbly on your HM!
6 miles this afternoon. This was actually my 2nd run of the day. First time I went for about 0.1 miles, then had to stop because PF in my right foot was unbearable. So I stopped and walked for about half a mile, then started again... very slowly. It was tolerable, so just kept it slow. Felt good to be outside. Wad the slowest 6 miles ever, but I don't care. Just want to be able to keep running.

Five consecutive weekend HM @TheMrWobbly ?! You are the man! Way to hang in there with that wind. I think I would have turned around an did an extra loop or something. HAHAHA for the meme!
@hamsterwheel6 Great job on your 10K! Congratulations on your PR! That's a fantastic pace!
@rheddmobile You can do it! Get out there and run! I do have a question. Why can't you go to the parks and run? Are they closing them? Remind me where you live again.
@Scott6255 Glad you were able to continue your run.

Today's run was sponsored by Starsky & Hutch and Charlie's Angels. Yes, I did a treadmill run today. Watching those old shows helps the time to pass. I did 4 miles at a fairly easy 11:36/mile pace. I also did a mile of walking to warm up and cool down.

Hopefully you went, it really does help mentally. I’ve been depressed about all this as well, and glad to have been able to run.1 -
@Teresa502 Happy birthday!

Hahahaha good for you! I used to ride an exercise bike every morning before work and watch goofy, fun shows.1 -
@Teresa502 happy birthday!
Call again last night. A nasty broken ankle on a lovely patient who had the best sense of humour. But another broken night sleep.
Rest day today, whew. Ill probably try go for a walk later, but it's raining right now. Sigh.
Waiting for an update today, weather we are at a level 3 or not. I am expecting us to upgraded today or tomorrow. I hope I'm wrong. Hubby and I are having all the conversations about visiting his parents or not, and have made the hard decision to not visit. He is going around today for the last visit for a while. We will still Skype them.
Am about to take the kids out for a scooter ride on the coastal walkway, then to their favourite cafe, that American diner! Just going to enjoy the day. Hopefully the rain stays away5 -
So... I’m still here. I am no where close to goal. I had a stretch where I was short on time... and definitely short on spoons. So self care involved having down time. I kept wondering if going for a run would have helped, but I just didn’t have the spoons to get my *kitten* together for a run, so I didn’t. Then, weather was junk, and even before wyoming shut gyms down, i was choosing to stay away from mine, as it is first and foremost a physical therapy establishment, and I didn’t feel my running should add to their risk. Especially since my portion of USDA was THE ONLY governmental entity in my county, at ANY level, still allowing/REQUIRING public access.
Along the lines of junk weather... I have been exposed to snow my entire life, but we get snow and NOT “ice storms.” Including this week, I can probably still count the number of ice storms I’ve experienced on one hand, and several of those, were probably Christmas time in Oregon things. Those of you who get those all the time, I don’t know how you do it. All I kept thinking, was “could I please get my *kitten* snow back, please?l
So, today was cleared up enough and warm enough that a run was safe, and reasonable. Garmin says my run was in “below freezing” weather.... i strongly doubt it was that cold, in fact I ended up being over dressed, even at my snail pace. And apparently I wasn’t the only one who decided it was warm enough for fresh air and vitamin d. Rarely do I ever encounter other pedestrians in my small town.... I had to dodge SOOOO many people today.
So today = 2.7/ goal? What goal?
Then I typed an off topic vent .... and having felt somewhat better just for typing it, and knowing we all have had enough of that topic, deleted it. Happy running!12 -
Thank you for all the birthday wishes!3
