Hey, glad that I can be some inspiration! You got this!
Got home from a long day at work, it was getting dark and I was tired but i still needed to get the work in.
Was a simple workout that only involved the mace but I still worked up a good sweat.
360's
Grave diggers
Dynamic curls
Spear stabs
Barbarian squats.

Great job! Keep it up! Every little bit helps.
Today was a good day and I have ended it in a caloric deficit. Today was cardio so I went for a run and I managed to new best one mile! 18 minutes 19 seconds! I started out at 23 minutes for a mile. It was raining, thundering, and cloud to ground lightning buy I still did it lol....probably best not to do what I did tho hahaha.

Alright, I have another goal for myself. I have found myself enjoying running more than strength training lol and if you know me then you would know that is an incredibly surprising thing for me to say. Before 2020 is over I want to run my first 5k. I'm really falling in love with trail running and I am hoping to do it at pine hill park in Rutland because they actually have 5k trail running loops! However C25K takes at least 8 weeks (not counting the necessity to repeat weeks) and there is the potential that the weather wont make that possible...that just means I'll have to tackle one of my biggest insecurities and do it out in the open on the road.......anyway, gives me yet another thing to focus on7

I'm also down another 3 pounds this week and weigh 391.10

Where are you?
Still doing well?1 -
Yes I am still doing well! Keep ending every day under calories and I haven't stopped exercising. My focus has switched running over all my strength training and since I have a 5k goal I'm trying to figure out what kind of strength training will actually help me with my goal.
Going to complete week one of C25K today..in fact I plan to go out in a couple minutes to do it lol.5 -
Finished the last running session of week one for C25K, and had a new personal best for my mile! 17:37 mile when I started out at 23 minutes! Just two days ago it was a 18:19 mile! Cant wait to start week two.

Week 2 of C25K starts today! I'm beyond excited for it. Today is also weigh in day and I'll let you all know how that goes after my run.

Today is a good day, down 3 lbs which brings me 13 lbs away from the next short term goal! I have also officially lost 51lbs from my heaviest weight. ALSO, I completed my first day of week two of C25K which was much harder but I didnt miss a single running session and I have a new personal best record for a mile from just two days ago. Shaved almost a full minute off!!

Wow! Today is an encouraging milestone. Congratulations on your stick-to-it-ive-ness.

Went for a hike today. I wish my garmin had a hiking option but I ended up just having to go with the walking setting. Somehow this ate up more calories that 2 miles of jogging and walking! Lol, maybe it took the elevation changes into account.

I just realized that I am a week away from doing the next comparison photos!!7

Dude, I just found your blog and wow! So inspiring. You are very dedicated and it's all so impressive! Keep it up! I love how positive you always are. I think I will go for a hike myself this afternoon. Also I've done the c25k and it is fun! I'm hoping to get back to running myself. Anyway just wanted to say thanks for posting!4

Thanks for stopping by to say those kind words! Im glad that some of what I'm doing is inspiring others! Makes me feel happy.
I completed day 2 of week 2 of C25K today, and boy is it difficult! Minute and a half of running is difficult, its difficult to imagine that supposedly in 7 weeks I'm supposed to do 3 miles!!
I also shaved another 15 seconds off my fastest mile but I was more excited to see how high my Aerobic and Anaerobic #"s where!! When I first started this journey I would have a 1 on aerobic....and that's basically it! I was so stoked when I saw this.

Went for a hike today, only did a mile and a half because it was hot out....
Also look at these elevation changes! That's part of the reason I only did a mile and a half lol, those climbs where bloody rough!

Just wanted to say your posts are very inspirational and encouraging (I'm looking down the barrel of about 125 lbs to lose). Keep up the good work. I look forward to see what all you can accomplish.

Thanks for the kind words!
Today was weigh in day and I lost 5 pounds this week! Most likely since my calorie goals got recalculated from when I first started. I'm 8 lbs away from my short term goal of 375! Also this time next week will also be time for another comparison photo.
Also, I completed week 2 of C25K.

Keep it up. You have inspired me and I have had 3 good days in a row.... an accomplishment for me!5 -
Today was one heck of a day!! I went for a hike....only planned to do a mile and a half...buuuuuut 6 miles and 3 hours later...with a trail that was double blue and filled with climbs. The elevation was insane! Over 1,100 feet of elevation gain!
Was a great experience tho! My fitness is getting better because I never had to stop! Garmin says I burned just below 2,000 calories and I did over 21,000 steps today.
Only thing I'm worried about is this might have been a bad decision the day before week 3 of C25K, I'll see how I feel in the morning tho.

People like you motivate me to continue on track. I hope you will continue your dedication and thanks for sharing your progress. I've lost 70 pounds but I still have another 60 to go so you're on the same boat as a lot of people and we sure can't let that boat sink!!!5

Best way to not sink is to keep losing! lol, you got this!!
Today was day one of C25K week 3! I think this is a great example that even tho it doesn't seem it...I'm clearly becoming more fit! I can remember doing week one twice in a row because I had to sit out a running session..now I'm doing 3 minute runs! Absolutely awesome!!!

That hiking post was just what I needed to see! I went back to a trail last week that I had tried 6 months ago and couldn't get to the waterfall that I really wanted to see. Still couldn't get to the waterfall, but it was noticeably easier than the last time. I just have to keep at it and one day I will be victorious and get my waterfall view.
Also, I was out driving the other day and saw a guy out in his driveway swinging this big metal thing around and I went "hey, he's mace training just like that guy on MFP!" So thanks for expanding my horizons there as well 😁7 -

This post just brings such a big smile to my face!! I'm so surprised to see that the things I'm doing on my little corner of the internet are actually being thought about and absorbed by others!
Just keep working at it! You will get that waterfall view and it will feel.sooooo good when you finally make it! I got faith in you!
Was a difficult run today! But I completed it. Even tho there where hobos getting drunk on the trail loop I just kept at it lol. One more day of week 3 and then it's on to week 4......and I'm intimidated! 16 minutes of combined jogging when so far it's only been combined jogging time of 9 minutes so far......

First, 👊🏼👏🏼
My biggest suggestion is to try to not focus on results, learn to love the lifestyle change, hold onto how you feel eating whole food and even that sense of accomplishment for making a good choice and find an activity you enjoy. Your workout could be Pokemon Go, it doesn't have to be a treadmill. If you enjoy your "workout", you'll look forward to it and you'll be consistent. If you enjoy your diet, you'll stick to it. If you do the right things, the results WILL happen.4 -
Going to do some light hiking and trail running today! Tomorrow is another weigh in day and the last day of week 3 for the C25K! Tomorrow is also progress picture day.1
-
Decided to some light trail running on an actual hiking trail as opposed to the well groomed walking trail I'm training for C25K on. Was looking forward to more technical terrain (rocks, roots, tight spaces etc.)
What's funny to me is that I was literally in the middle of thinking about an article on trail running I had read a week ago where it cautioned that you WILL fall at some point.....AAAAND I fell over a rock in the middle of that thought lol. Hurt like hell! But I peter griffined my leg for a minute and continued on...felt way worse than it looks.
