It may have taken 10 months, but I finally hit goal #2. 130lbs for a total loss of 30lbs since I started my journey!
Ultimate goal is 120lbs - 10 more to go!

Post lockdown gains. Decreased cardio to just walking & my body is responding well.

You look wonderful. Congratulations for your success.

This podcast is fabulous. It tells the story of Katie Sandwina, a female strong woman in Ringling Brothers’ glory days. She was reknowned for her strength and femininity. She performed as a lifter from age 2 well into her 60’s.

starting weight 197
current 173
lifting 3x a week, HIIT 2x a week.
stats: max squat at start was 95 lbs, current max 185, max DL at start was 135, current is 205. Planning to max out again in a couple weeks.
@2013allen - you look amazing! Great job! My start (current) weight is higher than yours, but this gives me hope. How long between pictures?6 -
This thread is the bee's knees.
Notwithstanding the bad angle and the "I'm hiding" bathing suit (and the shoes, for crying out loud!):
Left pic is max weight 184 lbs
Right pic is 4 months after I started lifting, weight 160 lbs.
24 lbs lost in 4 months. I was lifting 3x a week - a day for arms, one for legs, one for chest and shoulders and back. Cardio and abs on the 4th day. And I wasn't watching calories.
I'm at 155 now and I've got 20 more pounds to go.
I wish the gym was open so I could lift again. I'd be losing the weight so much faster!18 -
People: I don't want to lift weights, it'll make me bulky.
Me: I lift weights...
People: You poor man! Here, take this side of bacon. You need it more than I do.4 -
A 2 month progress pic! I love weightlifting

Sakura, that is great progress in two months. Great work!2

My trainer had me squat using the bamboo bar, bands and weights today. It was a blast! It felt like 90+ pounds of squirming kittens, though! She also told me my batwings had disappeared since I've been at the gym. (My words, not hers. She's way too positive for that!) I thought so, but it was nice to have someone randomly reaffirm.
