Its the foundation for peace and succes.1 -
I feel like the forums are too fake sometimes. I’m not sure if this is because the moderators are so quick to censor or put a stop to sensitive topics or because people are afraid to be vulnerable or talk about real things. Stop the self deprecation and be real. That’s how I feel sometimes.
My self-deprecation isn't a schtick but a daily practice of balancing self-acceptance with a touch of veritable surprise, a dose of delight and what I hope is received as a gallon of genuine grace (for others as well as myself).8 -

Best function I've found is gratitude and appreciation of the good. But my own personal jury is still out on whether it's a good balance. Especially for some people who seem to get a world of suffering thrown at them while some sit high in their shiny thrones and keep on prospering.
All I can say is 'D@mN you Eve, put the apple down!!'4 -

I don't think things life events serve a function. I think they just happen and we have to deal with them, good or bad.
We like to imagine there's more behind them, usually after the fact, because that's how our brains are wired: we don't deal well with randomness.6 -

What if the balance wasn't with one person but rather everyone? Maybe the people that have it wonderful are balanced by the people with horrible lives.
Well then, the old saying goes "It isn't fair!" because it truly isn't.
I hate it when a cloud seems to follow certain people around. And I don't believe in the saying 'God gives us only as much as we can handle'. My sister is a case in point. I have no idea how she hasn't crumpled into a heap by now.3 -
I am always wearing a mask. A happy mask. Always smiling.
I am seriously battling with binge eating and depression10 -

I hope you have the professional supports you need in place for your health and...I'm glad you have THIS place to safely share smiley moments and *kitten* moments1 -

No. Unfortunately I don't have any professional support. But as useless as this is for controlling the binging, I am glad to have it as an emotional outlet and some form of company in my lonely moments5 -

If I wasn't so miserable it'd be over for you hoes
But really I think it's either random and has no meaning or it's karma from a past life.6 -

it only has meaning, when you assign it meaning.
karma from a past life?
Nah, there's enough karma floating around from this one.3 -

I think you’re probably right. But I know, for me, I tend to keep online stuff positive because real life can suck enough sometimes. I stay out of super heavy stuff and definitely will never ever engage in online debate. If I had to be irl with heavy and deep stuff and then online too....I’d probably stay away. Not to say I don’t want to hear about people’s tragic/serious situations if it helps to have me listen. I’m always down for that.
I’m not saying other people shouldn’t. I just don’t. And I’m not saying you shouldn’t feel that way...just my 2cents about why I usually don’t. If I seem like a silly B around here sometimes it’s because I’m just having fun. ❤️5 -

meaning is the veil humans use to tolerate suffering
anyways now i’m curious what everyone defines as suffering0 -

Probably but I think it's fun sometimes to think about what evil character I was in a past life. But with this theory what is the end? Someone kinda explained it above about just eventually becoming perfect.0 -
Heb 9:27 "It is appointed men once to die, but after this, the judgement." There are no do-overs. There is a right way and a wrong way. Make sure you know it.10

To help us let go of things not meant for us, and facilitate change...
To make us stronger...
You know the more I think about it the less I know really...
I believe it's nature's way of making us and itself stronger sure... But I guess the question from there becomes...
Why is nature constantly trying to produce a stronger version of itself?
Is it competing with some other nature for universal Supremacy? I guess we may never know...3 -
As I learned last night, deep love is adapting your day so that you can more easily stay up in bed until 2 am or longer to chat with your husband, confidant and best friend of 43 years to assess his memory and dementia progression.
This is my grandparents' current scenario and the silver lining is that my grandmother is learning new things about her husband even now.18 -

I'm lonely in my marriage. Husband doesn't get it. He keeps me at a distance and gets mad when he doesn't feel loved. My feelings are ignored. When they are noticed he uses them as weapons against me. No dates. Swx like once a month lately unless I push hard for more. I'm sick of being the work horse while he lives the *kitten* dream!! I get zero of my needs met.....I dont even have a good bra!!!! Aaaaahhhhh he is in his *kitten* cycle and I'm over it been like 6 months this time. I keep bringing it up and he just keeps telling me it's all me and my mom.... *kitten* you Dr. Phil check ya self!! I'm about to lose my *kitten*!! We are in the middle of a move and any time we do anything tough in life this is how it is. I'm tired of feeling used. Manipulated and taken advantage of...... sometimes I need a hug and a cuddle but all I get are blankets between us.....23

My dad passed a little over a year ago. He was assaulted and robbed exactly one month before he died yet the police says there is no evidence that caused his death. It is torture on me everyday to see such a happy loving man go through what he did in the last month of his life. The trial for the assault is next month. And the thought of it constantly keeps me in a dark place. I’m just ready for it to all be over with so the constant reminder isn’t there and maybe I can start healing.25
