However we figure out how to do it, I'm in for my medal and will throw in an additional $20.00 to cover shipping and assorted expenses that go with shipping - for me and whomever else needs it. My thought is those who did all the work should not have any additional expenses over and above cost.5 -
6.4 miles this morning. Felt a little better today, although it was 100% humidity and misting the whole time. Never looked at my watch, just used it to record mileage. Almost felt like a human being after mile 4.

Another nice early morning run (5 am) with a 51F temperature. I ran with a friend who challenges me so I had the best pace that I’ve had all month.
@WandaVaughn – glad you didn’t seriously injure yourself falling down the steps!
@Camaramandy648 – thanks for coordinating the VM for @PastorVincent. I suggest that everyone who wants a medal pays you in advance. Even though most people have good intentions (certainly all of us runners!), they forget or life happens and I don’t want you stuck with the bill or extra medals.
You’ve got an awesome running streak going @katharmonic!

@Teresa502 couldn't do it without @rheddmobile for sure. I swear, I'm not naïve, but I really do trust you all. We can do whatever you are all comfortable with.
@Tramboman sounds good! i would love to be able to tell Kristi that she and hers will not need to worry about the price of the medals. I don't know how many people she has, so I don't want to make promises like that yet.
As for international shipping @polskagirl01 - I'll bet we can come up with enough where it's not an issue? I don't know how much international shipping is, so again with the promises. The same would go for @Scott6255 and @Avidkeo I think, right?
@Scott6255 what time do you get up to run? I cannot imagine running before work and getting the kids and myself off to school. I think my life would be better, but a 4am wake up time just sounds like two extra hours of drinking coffee Friend of mine asked me this weekend, "What would you change about your life, if you could change anything?" My answer was, I kid you not, "I'd wake up at 4am to run and still also run in the evenings, just shorter." That makes my life sound pretty dang good, right? Plus, it's something i COULD actually change if I'd actually just DO it.
Also @Tramboman I just scrolled up to reread your post from this morning: 9-8 to 9-13 "Virtual Boston with Vincent" Time goal 5:15:00; actual time 4:47:01"
THat's an AMAZING time! So jealous!
I ran the second leg of the Aravaipa Jangover *pronounced Hangover* challenge last night. It's getting dark an hour earlier now, what the heck. I had forgotten that would happen! And it was cool enough for long sleeves (for me at least). Tech long sleeved shirt and shorts and a trucker hat. And regular glasses. It was a really beautiful run. I throughly enjoyed it and I was much faster this time. Pace was 12:50 for 9.2 miles. That is really, really good for me. Huge improvement over the summer months and last week's feeling puny pace.
The thing about running last night is that, per the usual, I was so sure there was no way in hell I would make it out. My daughter was being a teenager and so freaking hateful and my son was antagonizing her to the nth degree, they both swore at each other, I made dinner and only my son ate most of his while my daughter said she hated it, even though I made it exactly how she likes it (yay autism AND teen years), and to top it all off my stomach hurt because I had tuna, kale, and sweet potatoes for lunch yesterday. I was fuming mad, but I don't beat my kids and I don't scream at them, I just simmer and take away everything they love. You hate me? Oh, cool. Well now you have no phone. I was born to ruin your life? You think that's my purpose on this earth? How sweet, now WE HAVE NO NETFLIX.
I didn't yell. I was calm. I just made it clear that when there is disrespect in my house, there is also consequence. You don't have awesome lives if you treat people badly.
You all can probably tell I'm still a little annoyed. Let it go, Mandy. They're just kids and the attitude is normal for their ages AND they're stressed about the pandemic too. And school. Bleh.
Needless to say, I really needed that run!
Tonight I'm making tortilla soup. I hope they hate it.

Had a slight pain on my right leg above the ankle bone this morning. I hope it's not a harbinger of things to come. The temps were slightly warming than yesterday, but still glorious compared to a month ago. I will not complain.

@WandaVaughn you're doing great! Priorities!
I used to pretend I was gonna catch a giant gar. I'd watch all these crazy youtube videos about it when the kids were like four and seven years old. We'd get all this weird junk crap and make a lure and a bobber and go sit for hours.
I never did catch a gar, so I am happy you caught some fish.2 -

I was worried that this storm would mess up my run schedule this week, which was already a little off because of work and climbing schedules. But, the weather has cooperated just enough for me to make it work. My daughter is on a competitive climbing team so she has set days for her practice and in the interest of minimizing trips to the gym, I climb during her practice time. It's hard to run and climb on the same day, but some weeks there is no way around it. I have climbing tonight and I'm tired. Maybe I'll just do some easier stuff and save the try hard for another day.6 -
Guess what!? Hamstring did fine! Yay. Went for a run this morning 55F wow cool to start, but I warmed up pretty quick. Shorts and tshirt were good (was chilly the first 10 min though).
6.65 run, and .75 run/walk home. Was a good run. Felt good. Of course the temps helped and I'm sure the rest from running as well, maybe the cycling as well.
I will go with whatever is decided on the medals.
@camaramandy - oh teenage issues. Ya. tell me about it.
Ok back to work - I'll check back later.7 -

I'm in Texas...I know some people think of us as a separate country, but as far as I know we still qualify for USA domestic shipping
I get up at around 3:30am to run. Mostly because it takes me like an hour to wake up and get coffee, small breakfast, dress, and warm-up. And because I like to get in to work by about 6:00am.4 -
c25k today was two rounds of jog 90/walk 90/jog 3min/walk 3min. Those three min stretches are the longest I've ran without a walking break since I got back into running! It felt good.

@Camaramandy648 Thanks for the praise. I tried to run it like a race.1

message me with next months, just figured this app out, never knew you could communicate like this. Usually just tracked my stuff an got off.3
-
@martaindale listen to your body.
@Tramboman you kicked its butt
@scott6255 what do you do for a living? I usually try to get to work by 7, but you are crazier than me. Yes, in Texas you are a separate species, rotfl. Sooooooo different from Arkansas, lmao. You'll make the millionth person I need to run with in Texas. Why haven't I driven there yet?!
@hamsterwheel6 Yay for your hamstring! Also yeah, teens. I turned her data off so according to her I am mean and cold and she even said I'm abusive. LMAO. When i was a kid, I actually did get beaten. Often. With all manner of things. She has no idea.... but hey, maybe that homework will get done now!
@kristinajeang I love the c25K app. I remember feeling how you are feeling right now. How exciting! keep going! You're gonna be so proud of yourself and we are all cheering for you!
Okay, finally - Kristi says she's got a headcount of about 8 people. She said she'll get back to me with the final #. So I think what I need to do now is wait for the sample, take some good photos of it, weigh it, make sure you all and Kristi and her people get to see it, and then we decide on headcount and money. Right?
Anyway, my brain is 100% fried so I was mostly just checking and wanted to make sure I didn't forget Kristi's update. Also I thought my egg for lunch was boiled and it wasn't so when I cracked it by squeezing, egg came out and it freaked me out so I practically through it across the kitchen at work.
It's been the best day, I'm tellin ya.9 -

This, so much this.
However I am willing to contribute towards one for his family.1 -

Bahaha she may mean @ContraryMaryMary
Thing is you would want to do it tracked, and that gets very expensive very fast. Even for a medal it can cost up to $30 for shipping - that's USD.
Also, I didn't participate as I couldn't. I'm heartbroken over that. And that's 9ne of the reasons I took a break, after he died, and all the tribute runs started, I had to sign off for a bit because its hard that I can't join in (12 days, and I can start running again!). So I haven't earned a medal.
As I said though, I would be more than happy to pay for a medal for Kristin and her family. That's a better way for me to get involved.9 -
