My husband made me a green smoothie and toast for dinner. I try to eat a light breakfast, heavier lunch and light dinner.3

Going to bed on time and getting up on time. Just because someone's wrong on the internet doesn't mean I have to stay up late and tell them about it, and if I get all the sleep I need I'll be happier and healthier the next day.7

Had three of the grandkids for an entire day and overnight. While enjoyable, it was exhausting. Hiking, racing, reading, playground, video games, meal prep and cleanup, baths, etc., etc. Hope we are creating future fond memories. Trying to be the "FUN" grandpa and yet not let them get away with EVERYTHING is a fine line 😏13

Swilling 4-5 espressos. The first shot is nice and neat, un caffè. The others are doctored UP with collagen peptides, collagen creamer, nut pods, just a tad of heavy whipping cream, pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg and allspice.

This isn't weight loss related at all but I finally was able to get my contacts in and out of my eye for the first time after 3 contact lens coaching sessions13

Going for a run before work because now I can have treats (or I can not have treats & feel even better).
So much better psychologically than having the treats & then HAVING to work out whether I feel like it or not.4 -
Following through and doing my work out no excises. I started at 8:20pm, but its done. I also walked. I am trying to do 2 hours a day.3

Re-reading my old blog posts yesterday gave me the push I needed to get back into the swing of things. I just took a couple of days off but was feeling unmotivated and like I was going to just give up and gain it all back. The words I wrote to myself made all the difference in the world. I feel energized now and I know that I will not give up on myself!7

I made soup last night and did not go back for seconds. That is a biggie for me. Trying to never do seconds, why did I do it anyway, bad habit. I was not hungry, if it looks good I usually eat it but not tonight.

Quelling my fears about having been over my calorie goal for the past four days by doing some simple math. Even though I've eaten over my goal, I'm still 2,200 below maintenance calories for the week so I'm fine. No need to freak out, I'm still losing weight 😊9

Changing into my walking clothes as soon as I got home from work and headed out the door! 1.5 kilometers!4

Having a flexible mindset and developing a plan B. I twisted my knee on Sunday and instead of being stupid and pushing through or taking the opportunity to full on rest for 2-3 weeks I found alternatives. Normally I do a lot of yoga and running.
Now I do:
- a very reduced yoga practice, but getting up at the same time to keep the habit rhythm
- A morning walk with a friend before work to fill up the extra time left over from yoga (so I’m not tempted to overdo it)

i plan my workouts and then my meals for the day based on the calories i can eat back. i plan on to run about 8 miles today and then bike 23.2 miles. i'm guessing i'll burn about 2200 calories today so i know i can add avacado and seeds to my salad.6

I stayed home and got dressed really nicely today. I wanted to put on clothes that I usually don’t wear since all I do is go to work and stay home. It made me really take care of myself and not overeat and eat well because I felt so good by dressing up. It was amazing!9

I'm back! What worked for me is getting back to MyFitnessPal, admitting to myself that it's really all about calories and nutrition, and acknowledging that tracking food intake is the most honest and accurate way to do this. I recently had half of my thyroid removed, and now I must take off some weight so that the thyroid I have remaining can do the job without additional hormone supplements. I'd also like to cut back on the diabetes and hypertension prescriptions I currently take. Ideally I'd like to be medication-free by 2021. losing 40 pounds would be heavenly! Would save my knees too.4

My grandmother was a very wise woman, and she said, "When life feels dark and overwhelming, get out of bed, take a shower and do your hair, and put on nice clothes and have a good meal. Either life no longer feels dark and overwhelming, or you can face it on your feet looking good and well fed. "

I signed up for some fitness classes that we do through zoom, and made them.5

I drank my water and stayed within calories today. Huge win here.6

Prelogging is so soothing. That way I don't have to work out what I'm going to have tomorrow or if I have room for a dessert in my calories. It's written down, I don't have to figure it myself. I just do what I'm supposed to and it works.8

Yesterday I gave into temptation and ate some calorie bomb peanut butter bars. I knew I was digging myself into a hole so instead of continuing to go on with my planned day of eating which would have put me WAY over calories for that day, I took a long walk and ate low cal soup for dinner instead. Being flexible and not beating myself up is a huge win for me.21

I finally tried a protein drink (pre-made) and it actually was pretty good. I don’t like smoothies and thought protein powder was a waste of calories. But I’ve come to realize that it is a helpful tool, and now I’ve found one I am willing to drink a few times per week. For me, this is a big win. 😀8

I think what I like most about this thread is that it’s a great reminder that 1 day counts. Most of us didn’t wake up over weight one day like boom have an extra 60lbs, it took many days to get there and so each day that is a win is a tiny step closer to a better healthier us9
