On Tuesday when I ran it was 64F and 94% humidity. This morning it was 46F and 74% humidity. I didn’t sweat nearly as much!

    Good luck @TheMrWobbly!

Hope you’re hip flexor is doing better @noblsheep. Maybe running out of KT tape was a blessing in disguise.

Great run @Scott6255 – I wish my new Ghosts would get me that kind of pace! Lol!

@tramboman – Don’t you ever want to change it up and do 7.5k or maybe 6.8k?

@katharmonic – yes, take better care of that body! I know, easier said than done, when stressed out with work demands. Hugs!

Didn’t run yesterday, life got in the way. Delivered Skip back part way to school and her friend took her the rest of the way. We had a great visit. I traded Skip for her friend’s Mom who is one of my bestest friends so as we were driving the 3 hours home my tire pressure light came on. Didn’t worry about it since it happens sometimes when the temperature goes up and down, I figured I’d stop on the way to work and put air in the tires. Well went outside and she was flat. I put air in it with a bike pump, found the nail that was in it and went back in to call the girl I work with to see if she could drive me in. She goes in like an hour to 90 minutes before me so I didn’t have time to run since she was getting ready to leave for work. Then after work I took it to Firestone…after the filling up with the bike pump again enough to get me to the gas station ½ mile up the road to put air in it to get me there.

@Teresa502 the biggest thing I paid for this weekend for Skip was Boise noise canceling headphones. Her suitemate is partially deaf so doesn’t always realize how loud she is and the guy across the hall is a music production major ha ha so trying to do homework or zoom meeting with little ear buds wasn’t working. I had them on, love them! Followed a close second to food ha ha

@quilteryoyo my neighbor walks part way with her and then if I’m around I walk back with her. She’s just the sweetest, she brings a biscuit in case she sees us and I have Champ with me.

@kgirlhart the weather is the same here….winter in the morning, summer in the afternoon followed by fall in the evening.

@Avidkeo I’m sorry the calf is still talking to you.

@Rheddmobile I don’t know what those things are. I love flybys I’m always checking who is near me ha ha

@Camaramandy648 what do you use to track your runs, quite a few of us here are also on strava together. We just can’t get enough of each other. I agree on the healthcare system, I pay a ton in premiums and then get to pay more in high deductibles.

@WandaVaughn great job finishing the space run at the space and rocket center

@kristinajeang Happy Belated birthday! Lunch dates with moms are more important than runs, imo. But glad you got a run in today.

@TheMrWobbly keep grinding. You'll thank yourself later.

    @Mari33a you're getting there!

@noblsheep yeah, I am not ready to lift six days a week. lol. no. not yet. :)

@scott6255 and @Tramboman and @hamsterwheel6 - it was a nice run here too, 59F and cloudy. Tank, sleeves, hat, in case of rain. Really nice.

I've missed a lot of you because I've just received yet another phone call requesting help from a coworker.

I didn't get out as early as I planned this morning because I watched a scary movie with the kids last night and didn't get to bed til after 9, which is now "late" for me if I want to be up and out by 4am. So I had to decide if I was going to use the time I did have or just call it. Well. I decided to go out for thirty minutes and then do the other thirty tonight. Easy enough, plus now, I have less work to do tonight.

Happy running, keep going - @eleanorhawkins rotfl I struggle so bad with easy pace. I should try to talk on the phone will I run more often. By that I mean at least once. ;)

@eleanorhawkins I don't even know what my main stress point is right now, probably just a combination of smaller things, but I totally hear you on the stress eating. It reminds me of something @MobyCarp said about not being able to outrun our forks. So true.

I went past the pet shop tonight and saw they had a whole bunch of guinea pigs. I almost wanted to buy one. But we have too many already, and these were overpriced. So cute though. I came home and hugged one of ours. One of our kids said that one thing you can do when feeling stressed, is pretend you are holding and petting a guinea pig. Probably any pet will do. It does help. Might keep us from overeating, because our hands will be occupied.

Just read the most recent posts.

Coach sent over MORE exercises . The structure is good and is exactly what I wanted but lord, 4am. and MORE exercises. MORE!!!! WHAT?!

    This is fine....

@Avidkeo I do not do well on such little sleep. You are a superhero.

@polskagirl01 reading your post made me want to hug my dog and eat a reese's cup. I can have both right?

@Tramboman 69! You are so fortunate! Was just talking to Nick last weekend about how the women in my family haven't made it past 62. I am 35... 6.9 seems a lot more reasonable than asking you to run 69 miles! But maybe I could run 69 for your birthday! :)

@Teresa502 the 4am thing is new to me - I decided that if I am going to follow the coach's plan, I'm just going to have to schedule out my days and make use of every hour so that my goals don't take away from what the kids need, which is a mom who works and can provide and is also present.

They say it takes 21 days to build a habit, right? So what am I at, 18 days left and this will feel normal? hahaha So far, it's really not that bad, I'm doing more than I thought I could but also I'd like a nap! And a mani-pedi!

    And new shoes!

Speaking of shoes - the week @pastorvincent passed, I had ordered and received some new Nike Miler reacts. They're supposed to be pretty good for stability. They will hopefully be fine until I can get some new Mizuno's. I'm not super sure about them yet, but this morning they did not seem to cause any knee pain, so we shall see. :)

21 days is *kitten*. Past summers I got up at 4 am to run before heat hit. After 2 months I was over it and would start making excuses. LOL

@polskagirl01 Stay safe! I find I have to jump into/over the ditch sometimes when I hear vehicles coming. Is that an option?

@WandaVaughn I think that is an excellent place to end your race!

@kgirlhart Great run! Change is hard. Hope you enjoy your new job as much as you did the old one!

@eleanorhawkins Praying your dad's surgery goes well. Totally understand stress eating. Hugs to you!

    Happy belated birthday @kristinajeang !

Re hugging pets and stuffing face... I could totally hug my daughter's pet rabbit while I ram chocolate in my mouth! But yeah, fluffy cuddles are always good :-)

Who can run on the 11th of November and would like to join me for this? Free virtual relay marathon! We should have at least one MFP team in honour of our departed marathoners...

ETA: I started to sign myself up for it but there are various options for teams so I'll wait and see who wants to join in. If anyone. It's set up for teams of 6: 2 x 10k legs, 3 x 5k legs and a final 7.whatever the last bit is leg. Let me know if you wanna join me!
