Tonight is night 12 with no power for my son and his family.

He lives in a busy part of the city.
I can hardly believe that the power company seems so inept.
We have storms all the time with outages, they need to seriously up their game.
    Generator sales skyrocket!

Does he live in a place affected by hurricanes? There are still folks here on the Gulf Coast without power or access to internet who haven't had it since the 28th of Oct. :(

He’s here in OK, in the middle of OKC, ice storm.
Being powerless really makes one feel powerless. 😔

I wonder if Canadian newspapers will start to talk about things happening in Canada now. Probably not...

    Doubt it

I figured you'd just make 30 new threads and dominate chit chat.

^ sigh. That PP sorta looks like one of those ads where the title says “this will come out of your ear if you don’t do this one simple trick.”

Fingers crossed I didn’t just say something *kitten* about something a loved one made for you.

How dare you, that is clearly a pancake

..that came out of someone’s ear

I’d eat them but they look like a mutation between potato dumplings and potato pancakes with a sausage patty. 🤷🏼‍♂️

There was one a few years back that a certain Lula created called "Mostly too" or something... I really liked that one 😁
  • I don't like pancakes. I like waffles.

I don't get to eat pecan waffles with fried apples and whipped cream and bacon right now, though.

    Character matters. Decency matters. 💙💙💙

Would be nice if that were the case in my country too lol. As it stands I get nervous every time the PM gets within 30 yards of a jar of shoe polish.

I am guessing we share the same country 🍁 ...

    ❤️ I feel your pain.

Ermahgah what? @KickassAmazon76 is Canadian too!? En plus?!!? I'm crushing so hard in Montreal-ish right now 😍

Haha mais Oui! I am a Prairie girl... Manitoba! ❤️

Prairies, eh? Have you ever seen a hill outside of pictures? Did it blow your mind?

I have been from Victoria Island to Montreal Quebec... So yep! Oh Canada you sure are beautiful!

Well that's a pretty varied geography. I didn't see a hill until I was almost 20 and still have yet to see an ocean. Should probably just bite the bullet and take a vacation out in the Maritimes.

That's homemade high-gluten bread staled three days then soaked overnight in a custard base with vanilla rum in it, and cut an inch and a half thick. It has to be cooked very slowly but the interior is like bread pudding, with the exterior crunchy. And I put orange peel and cardamom in with the apples.
