Starting to look at errands differently. I’ve now gone to Target (8 mile round trip) a few times, the donut shop to get the kids’ Saturday treat (10 m rt), and just got back from delivering food to a sick friend (14 m rt) on my bike. Instead of thinking how I can squeeze in my errand and my workout, I realized I can combine them and actually save some time.
Obviously not a revolutionary realization, but for someone who doesn’t live in a walkable/bikeable community (or at least not one where people do errands on foot/bike—there are plenty of exercise walkers/runners/bikers, but
I rarely see people actually going somewhere that way) its a pretty big mindset shift!26 -

Bikes are great! I need to start using mine as my main transportation again. This time of year I take the truck anyway - wet leaves, especially if there's frost in the morning, spell a trip to the doctor.2 -
Disconnected from a toxic "friend" who was nice as long as I completely agreed with everything he said, but the minute I questioned his point of view or even dared to bring forth my own thoughts he called me uncultured and unsympathetic. I'd been in awe of his intellect, but smarts don't excuse dominating others and shutting them up. I feel emotionally 10 pounds lighter!33

I went to a hockey tournament last weekend that I hadn't planned on, didn't plan/bring my food or log either Saturday or Sunday. So no surprise when the scale was up more than 2 pounds yesterday morning. I had a mini goal to get down below 160 by Thanksgiving and I'm not sure that will happen now, but I'm back on track with my calories goals! I wanted to eat the last donut yesterday but I didn't! I didn't let a loose weekend derail this most recent "back at it"! The last three tries to get back at it, I would've given up with the scale being up that water weight and justifying having "just one more donut" by the "might as well, I've already messed up my plan". I'm loving this thread so I have a place to celebrate these little things!14

I have a bed that's very low to the ground. This morning I got up quickly and easily. That has been happening for some time now, but for a moment I remembered how much trouble I used to have getting up and how much pain I was in when I awakened. Now my back doesn't hurt when I wake up and coming off the floor is like nothing. My NSV is that this has become routine, and I had to consciously think about it to notice it!20

Iv got a few. I have had a very good couple of months, probably the best I have ever had weight loss wise. Your not ment to discuss the scale in here so ill just say its moving in the right direction.
*my doctor has lowered the pressure setting on my cpap machine by one thing. I can't tell the difference, but its nice to know its going down. A major goal of mine is to get rid of it.
*I bought a shirt off the shelf at the regular size people store. Sure it was there biggest one, but still it fits fine. Normally I have to go to the big guys store or shop online.
*this will sound silly, but I have always worn undy type underwear, boxers were not comfortable for me, and would rip. Iv have now bought boxer shorts and they fit fine. Might sound stupid but it feels great.
*random people are starting to notice my weight loss, and it feels awesome.31 -
I now wear a smaller bra band than my mother ever has as an adult. And I still have 80 pounds to lose.12

I can comfortably wear my wedding ring again. My hands and fingers are now slim24

I made chocolate chip cookies and lemon bars on Sunday for my kids. I have eaten one cookie and one lemon bar per day since then. In the past, I would have easily eaten five cookies straight as they came out of the oven easily.24

I was itching to go for a walk/run last night and so disappointed I couldn’t. Was awaiting a Covid test result which has since come back negative. Can’t wait to walk tonight.
Another fitness NSV: I have a leave day later this week for my birthday. Was trying to work out what I’d like to do - alone as it’s a weekday. The only thing I really want to do is go for a longgggg walk by myself. Aiming for 10km. It’s meant to be 40°C+ so I’ll need to be up early and I can’t believe I’m so excited!18 -
310 lb squat!26

I indulged in some cookies last night.
My family is doing their thanksgiving on Saturday. I was thinking to myself, "Well, I may as well just have a free for all till after Thanksgiving, since I'm going to eat so much that day anyway."
Reached for more cookies this morning and stopped myself.
Why should I let one bad day derail me for 4 days? Who says I have to stuff myself to the point of discomfort on Thanksgiving? Absolutely no one! I made the realization that I can still stay on track, I'll just have to budget my calories a little bit better, and watch my portions.
I ate only one cookie today. And I didn't feel bad about it either! Because I decided to simply make room for it in my calories. I'm not going to sabotage my entire day over one stupid cookie. And then I brought the rest to work and gave them to my co workers.
Three years ago, one slip up would have led to a 2 week all-out binge.30 -

Pretty awesome! But maybe some details. Are you still training at approx. 180? Did you use a tight squat suit, leg wraps or sleeves, etc., etc.
Congratulations though! With a history of lumbar vertebrae disk bulges, I've eased up on my squatting, not going over 275 much recently, but pushing my leg press up to the 800 lb. x 10 rep mark.3 -

Nope, just knee sleeves and a belt.5 -
5.5 m walk last night, 15 mile bike ride this morning. And cleaned all the things. Bring on Thanksgiving!15

Yesterday I was packing hurriedly for a trip to my parents' and I needed another pair of jeans. All of my usual pairs that I know will fit me were in the wash, so I dug through my closet and came across a pair of size 10s that I don't recall ever having worn. I probably bought them years ago but was always too big to wear them. I've been wearing 12s recently and thought no way would these fit, but they were my only option so I thought I would bring them in case I was really desperate, in which case I would just try them and hope for the best.
Put them on this morning in a moment of optimism and they zipped and buttoned easily. Granted, I have a noticeable muffin top, but they fit! I can wear 10s!27 -
I took a selfie today and realized my dimples are visible again!!! 🥳
I still want to lose about 30 more, but I’m feeling motivated. 1/4th of the way there!!18 -
I don't know if this counts as a victory or a reward, but I found a great way to enjoy pizza again that only costs me 260 calories on my food intake!21

I eat more. I don't notice any fat gain, just the usual fluctuations. Might be getting the hang of maintenance (finally).16

Surely, you'll share?7 -
Bought two pair new jeans 4 inches smaller waist size and shortened all my belts 4 inches. :-)18

@nitalieben - Here ya go! Makes two small (6-7") pizzas. The french item is just a flavored water I had with it.

My husband noticed the muscle definition I am developing in my legs.15

I recently punched two new holes in my belt, thinking I would not need the second for a while. I am not using it normally yet, but this week I realised I had done my belt up to the new tightest hole. (It is 13 cm [just over 5 inches] from the belt notch I was often using in May to the one I am normally using now; 15 cm [6 inches] to the tightest one.)
Also: I rowed my first half marathon this morning:

Fit into some old button ups I haven’t worn in 7-8 years and the last time I attempted to wear them I couldn’t button them up. Now it feels like they fit better than when i first bought them.12

I think I'm finally seeing some muscle in my upper body24 -
Mine was Friday, Its slightly embarrassing because I'm still a bit self conscience but, still a victory of sorts. I was wearing my workout pants because it was cooler and it happen to be leg day they were fitting about the same but, when I was doing squats my pants kept getting pinched by my back side and I had to keep fixing myself between sets lol.9

Today I didn't have to suck in to zip my jeans, so that's movement in the right direction. (Which is good cause the scale has not been encouraging.)17

A couple for me recently:
1. A combo SV and NSV: Despite Thanksgiving, I still lost 1 lb this week! I made healthier versions of foods, and even though I ate quite a bit, I didn't exceed maintenance that day, or overindulge to the point of binging, so I'm proud of myself!
2. I've always loved dressing up: clothing experiments, Halloween, costumes, all that... but when I got big, it stopped being fun for me because I hated how I looked. For the first time in years, I bought a couple of costumes for my own amusement - and I don't look half-bad! I plan to get more over time, in smaller sizes of course12
