What is your "Petty" Reason to Lose Weight?

I want to be able to buy clothes at all stores, not just Walmart and specialty stores.14

A couple of reasons -
1. “Glow up” - my ex left me last week; giving no reasons whatsoever. Ok, asshat, I’m going to show you what you’re missing now!
2. I’m going into a career in canine hydrotherapy, so I want to look good in my wetsuit!!!13 -
I want to be thinner than my three sisters.17

I want to wear pretty clothes and feel good about the way I look. 👠👗👡10

I used to practically look like a model before I gained weight (with a bit of makeup, haha) and I want to get back to that version of my self. Fit in my cute clothes again and turn some heads, lol!13

I'd feel more confident in job interviews if my weight was lower.14

I love to travel internationally (in non-covid times) and I don't want to be seen as a fat American.15

Bump for pettiness4

The very tall, multiple piles of "It will fit me again someday" clothes in my closet. I miss wearing them!! I'm gonna turn 50 y/o in April, so if not now, when??15

To say F*** you to all those people who said I couldn't do it with diet control and exercise....sure its taken nearly 5 years but I have also learned alot of lessons along the way!!17

My wife observed: when I lose pounds, I gain back inches..8

I will add one more reason to my long list. I recently slept in a awkward position and when I woke up could not feel or move my arm.It recovered after a while but I have dislocated my shoulder. It is killing me and I feel so much older when I cannot move it. Obesity is a factor for this...11

To shut my sister in laws up. They think I can't get back to a 125 - 130 lb weight range just bc they despise exercise. They think that in order to lose weight you have to be on a perpetual fad diet and starve and work out until it hurts. I'm proving them wrong.11

I have a person just like that in my life too!
She will talk up her latest diet when she's on one, but if I mention anything diet or exercise related, it just gets brushed off as "wouldn't work for me".
Mostly I am of course doing this for myself, but part of me just can't wait to prove her wrong - it can be done and I am doing it!5 -
Because I want to make my own business attire and changing a pattern is hard.8

My petty reason to lose weight is because my ex would always make comments about how fat I am and ended up cheating on me. I wan get skinny and have him come back to me because I love him...11

Well, years ago my petty reason was because my medical provider suggested surgery. I quickly lost enough to take that off the table. More recently, the petty reason to lose weight is that I am smaller than my new bride's ex and that she is smaller than her ex's new wife. Mission accomplished, but I do want to keep it that way.8

I want to be the fittest of my family. I was always criticized as a child for being obese and I finally lost the weight and looked great but I gained it alll back due to depression. I want them to see I am strong and I dont give up.19
