NO LATE NIGHT SNACKING CHALLENGE-- FEB 2021

If you haven't seen this challenge before, let me brief you about it:

We started this thinking: "Looks like I'm self-sabotaging by munching/bingeing after dinner" or "Mhmm... I'm kinda doubling my in-calories at night".

What you have to do to change the way you feel about your eating at night:

- decide what late night snacking means to you (could be either bingeing, if you're inclined to it or simply eating anything at all after a certain time; some may find that having a healthy snack after dinner is perfectly alright and be upset only when they go overboard)

- report in the thread. We post by the formula:
Me: X vs. LNS: Y,
where X is "how many evenings you stuck to it" and Y "the times late night snacks won". You may want to also add a * to the latest number. Feel free to also post streaks of how many days (in a row) you've managed to be free of late night snacking

It's as simple as that. Or as complicated , as you will discover. Nevertheless, the persistence and good results of some of our "old" members (and some people keep coming back) show that the battle is worthwhile!

Have I touched a cord? Then: You are welcome!

This is great! Joining the challenge, and aiming for 21/28 days of success with this for the month! Trying to break through a plateau and this may be just what I need to get through it.

Thanks for posting this challenge up, this is just what I need. I struggle a lot with late night snacking, especially after quitting smoking a few years back. I'm in!

Thank you for keeping the Challenge going.

My January diet program wouldn't have gone as well as it did if it weren't for the January No LNS Challenge.

My rule is no eating after 7:45 Sunday-Thursday and 8:30 Friday-Saturday.

This challenge has been tremendously helpful to me. ESP when I see my hubby snacking and he insists I have a little too. I can’t because it’s too late!

No eating after 8pm every day but if my net calories are too low after hockey some nights, I'm ok with having something small that fits my macro goals.

For times like this it helps to keep in mind the reason behind the LNS - to avoid adding extra calories you don't need. If your net calories are too low, to stay healthy you need to break the LNS rule. And your health is more important than any rule.
