@trooworld I love your new standing desk! I'm also a huge fan of cauliflower crust pizza. I think it's a great way to get extra veggies in and if it's done well I can't tell either

@TeresaW1020 I'm so glad you didn't let a number on the scale hold you back! Also, congrats on the scale already being down so fast with all that water weight! And congrats on the new gig, the extra money and extra movement are two bonuses!

    Another day, another dollar!

This morning I woke up and my back pain is significantly less than yesterday which is good. I'm going to keep doing back stretches after work and talking my husband into giving me nightly massages until it's 100% better.

I was able to get some dissertation work in this morning which felt great. I hadn't looked at it in 5 days so it was definitely time to get back in! Luckily the edits she suggested weren't as extensive as I thought so I'm still on track to get her the next one after the 14th. I'm hoping the next step will be to get it to the committee, mostly because I desperately want the two week break from it while they read it through before the meeting.

Otherwise, food and activity are going well. I threw out the rest of the cake in the house (it's after my birthday and I don't need the leftovers). I made a big batch of butternut squash soup and Mexican beef bowls for meals this week and they are both delicious!

@teresaw1020 Glad you enjoyed your trip. Lots of good fun calorie burning with dancing. I'm sure most of that 5 lbs is bloat. You'll go back to your all time lows soon. I thought the cake pic was a cheese omelet too. Emotional eating: a big bowl of broccoli just doesn't taste as good as other things that we eat. My opinion of course. Ah great news on 4 lbs disappearing. I always find I bloat up with long car trips. The extra job will burn calories too.

@cbabie That's good that you are tracking and keeping your why list. The mindset is the most important. Actors and TV shows have very strict protocols when they work. They get tested all the time and have very strict quarantine rules when they travel.

@gemwolf110 Sounds like you are making small changes that will lead to big things. Good for you.

@trooworld I love Snoop and martha together. I got 25%. Excellent idea on the work desk. It's so true. We all need to sit less.

@mswatson0777 So glad you got in a good leg workout. I love to dance too. I would be those ladies at the reception where it's 2 AM and the DJ is saying this is the LAST song and I'm still not done.) There are just some things I have energy for. Yaaay on the cake.

Afternoon...I can't believe I didn't post yesterday. I got busy, I know I read the post. LOL. Mon and Tues are usually crazy here. Baby girl had a great check up, no cavities and her teeth look great and she was great, did exactly as she was told by the dentist. YEA. She got a balloon and yea try keeping that from flying out a window while driving so we got a little toasty on the way home. LOL

@theslightedgeforever LOL I was actually talking about how they don't wear them on the job as much as I thought they might in the program...not that I worried about them all being together. I guess I am just so used to seeing everyone wear mask all the time..except while I walk. Even driving I see people in their car with them on...NOT ME..I hate how I feel I the mask. LOL. I tracked last night but was 250 calories over...a bowl of ice cream..LOL

@mswatson0777 Your soup and bowls sound good. LOL. Great job on throwing out the cake...I am not sure I would be that good.. LOL. Sounds like you are progressing good in school and food.

@trooworld Great job on being creative on your desk. I used to sell office furniture and that was a big (expensive) item a sit to stand desk. I hope your sleep gets better..

@TeresaW1020 You sound like me with the church stuff. I would have probably done the same. I got on FB yesterday and interestingly enough there was a section that said videos of you....oh my IT found videos of me trying to get people involved in Children's ministry. eerie seeing yourself come up when you weren't looking.

@theslightedgeforever SAME! I'm a terrible dancer but I always have so much fun I don't care! My SO calls it my white girl bop lol.

@trooworld Oh bummer. I'm sorry you have to jump through so many hoops to figure out the sleep thing. I hope you get answers soon

@cbabie I'm so glad the checkup went well! It does feel good to be back home and in the groove again

Hi Ladies! Quick check-in today since I'm interviewing for my job as a permanent position this morning. I'm definitely in zoom interview mode with a suit jacket and makeup up top (and slippers and yoga pants on bottom!). Hopefully I'll have good news to share soon!

Otherwise, I spent last night doing more stretch based yoga and went to bed early. It was glorious! I'm excited to have tomorrow off for another three day weekend! It's going to be hard adjusting to full weeks back at work after all this time off and fun we've been having.

@mswatson0777 Sending you good vibes for today’s interview! How is your back doing? Is hubby helping you out with the messages? :)

@trooworld Sheesh what is wrong with your doctor! You have been having issues with your sleep and she knows it. Maybe your other doctor will be able to help you. You just have to keep at them until you get the help you need. :/

@cbabie I think I forgot to post yesterday too. Glad baby girl had a good dental check-up. How old is she now? I miss my three-year-old great-niece Elena that I got to hang out with this past weekend. :)

@theslightedgeforever, I agree that a big bowl of broccoli wouldn’t satisfy my emotional eating needs either. Although I do think I would binge on some mashed cauliflower, which I’m making for dinner!

Hi everyone! Well, I told the staff that I was going to take over the cleaning job at the church and they are all thrilled. The guy we have been using was our worship pastor, but then he left to pastor his own small church and had two kids back-to-back and didn’t have any money. So, we kept him even though he has never done a very good job. I’m looking forward to all the deep cleaning I get to do starting next week. After work, I went to Aldis to buy stuff for meatloaf, mashed cauliflower, and roasted green beans. I’m excited!!

Yesterday was my no work/no rules day I take once a year AKA I turned 57. I enjoyed every minute of it. But I always do. I did track though because I made a tracking challenge to friends for a day not realizing what day it would be. But real life calls now and I'm headed later to a firepit night with my little group of friends. Half of us still wears our mask when sitting together cause I don't know where they've been. Then I just move away when I eat and take off my mask. I'll be glad when we don't have to do this anymore.

Tomorrow I will be back on my normal exercise routine since Fridays I rest. Although I may do a little dancing by the fire, we'll see.

    Make good choices.

Morning all, I didn't track yesterday but didn't really eat either. I have tracked today and no walk yet. But soon. It's a little windy out

@trooworld what kind of bread are you making? Sounds like its a good day off lol

@theslightedgeforever good for you, glad you enjoyed YOUR day. I feel like we wil always be wearing mask. I ended up in the church parking lot and a couple asked if they could pray with me..I said yes..these people are way older than me..LOL no mask in my car window...horribly I prayed no contagious and I put sanitizer on my hands afterwards..he always wears a mask in Church..

@theslightedgeforever Happy Birthday to you!!! So glad that you had a wonderful time and dancing by the fire sounds fun.

@cbabie I agree with you that we will probably always have to wear masks. I finally bought some of those surgical ones in black and they are the best I’ve found at keeping my glasses from fogging up. Fortunately, I don’t wear one very often except when I’m in stores that require it. ;)

@trooworld Girl, you are making me want to go to Trader Joe's and make me a charcuterie board! Is it for Valentine’s Day? I’m making enchiladas with actually carb-laden tortillas. :D Then I'm having wine and chocolate with my sweetie. It’s cold and rainy here. Most annoying! :s

Hi everyone! Well, I ended up with a 1.7 lb gain this week. Should have been down more but it is what it is. I’m going to really work this week to get it off and then some. I’m still rebelling against calorie counting but I have decided to at least write down what I eat every day in my little daily planner. The Beck book talks about pre-planning so I’m writing down what I will eat each night for the next day. It’s in pencil so I can adjust as needed. B)

@cbabie Looks like your tracking is becoming more and more of a habit

@teresaw1020 Are you enjoying the Beck book?

@trooworld Caramel sauce and goat's milk should NOT be in the same sentence. lol I had goat cheese once and it has ruined anything similar to me. How did your bread turn out? I made something similar once in my dutch oven. I did find out I'm not an artesian bread lover.

@theslightedgeforever I am enjoying the Beck book. I’m on day 16 and so far, it’s helping me to stay more mindful of some of my problem areas. Such as being a fast eater and eating everything on my plate. I made a response card to go on my table that says, slow the FORK down, watch for signs of fullness, and leave at least one bite on the plate. I’m also keeping a food journal where I write down what I plan to eat the day before. I’m not counting calories or macros but I do like having it written down so I can have a reference for when I struggle. :)

@trooworld Sooo I had to go Google Cajeta ice cream and now I WANT it!! You are so fancy!! I hope everything went well with your dog’s teeth cleaning. I would be worried too.

Good morning and happy Valentine’s Day!! I woke up to gifts on my desk from my sweet hubby. A new 18” silver chain for the cross-diamond necklace he gave me several years ago. The other chain was too long, and I wanted a shorter one. I also received my favorite Lindt dark chocolate with chili bar. I will be sharing that with him later with a bottle of red wine. <3 Then tomorrow I have to get back to eating strict Keto and get my weight to start moving back in the right direction. It’s going to be spring here before I know it and want to clean out my closet and buy some new clothes in a smaller size. :)

@TeresaW1020 Aldi is my favorite place to shop! I hope the meatloaf was great! I'm excited for you to get to buy some smaller sizes for spring and summer clothes! And I wouldn't worry too much about the gain. You are being so accountable that it'll be off in no time

@trooworld That charcuterie board looks fantastic! What a fun valentine's idea

@theslightedgeforever Happy Birthday!!! I hope you had an amazing time celebrating and taking the day for you! Did you get to dance around the fire?

@cbabie Thinking of you and hoping you had a healthy weekend (both mentally and physically)

Hi Everyone! My two vacation weekends are officially done and now I'm back to the grind. I'm feeling a little post-vacation morose. It's a good think that vacation is over because I need to get back to my healthy habits, but the endless string of days without a big thing to look forward to is going to wear on me.

I did cook some healthy meals for the week ahead that I'm looking forward to. Yesterday my spouse joined me for a BeachBody workout (AAA Day 5 if anyone is wondering)! He was DYING towards the end, which made me realize how fit I have become doing them 5 days a week!

@teresaw1020 I love the phrase, slow the FORK down. That's so cute.

@trooworld I got 25% At least tomorrow I could do 26, right? I don't like breads that are crusty if that makes sense. I don't like crispy pizza or bacon, I think it's a texture thing. Although now with my swallowing problem, soft breads probably aren't a good fit for me either anymore. I love your board. I could just eat that. Although now that I'm eating "blue" these things aren't as free for me anymore. Maybe I should try a f&v board. I love Nutella.

@mswatson0777 There was no dancing around the fire. We were all in a talkative mood and only put on light background music this time. That's great that you are planning ahead and are ready for back to work normal. Plus isn't it great to see you are more fit than your spouse? I've been walking but have not been doing my weights so i need to start adding that back in.

I’m new here on this feed. I have started tracking calories for a few months coming from WW for many years. Could never get my calories and points to add up.. out of points but still low calories every time. I just saw this feed and thought it was interesting to read and wanted to join in... lol.. I love being able to have some almonds and avocado and not feel like I’m being punished 😂

@trooworld your charcuterie board looks soooo good!! As does that bowl of ice cream and lava cake! Now that is the size Nutella I need! If I get a jar in my hand it is GONE!

@mswatson0777 There is NO way my DH could do a Beachbody workout and keep up with me. He used to be so much more fitter than me, but not anymore. Today I did AAA day 31 and my booty is sore! And that is on top of my quads which are already killing me from leg day. Tomorrow, I’m taking a break and just doing a treadmill walk.

@theslightedgeforever I found a graphic that said, “slow the fork down” and adopted it as my new saying. :)

@DonnasWay0805 Welcome! You will find that we do all different forms of eating plans in this group. When I was doing WW I would often double track and was always amazed that there could be a 200 to 400 difference with calories for the same amount of points. :)

Hello everyone! It’s a cold and rainy day and tomorrow doesn’t look much better. Which sucks because of that grocery shopping and Bible study day. My weight was down a tiny bit this morning which I found hilarious since DH and I shared a bottle of red and a dark chili candy bar. This evening we are opening the bottle of white that I put in the fridge because I have decided to observe Lent, which starts on Wednesday. I’m for sure giving up sugar and wine and I’m also thinking of going OMAD (one meal a day) with my eating. I would use lunchtime for Bible study and if I am super hungry, I can have a Keto coffee, which is a little bit of grass-fed butter and MCT oil blended in hot coffee. One cup of that and I will be good to go until dinner. Anyway, I’m thinking as I work on my spiritual side of life, I can also work on getting the scale to drop at a more rapid rate than it has been since the start of this year. I AM reaching my goal weight this year!! ;)

@theslightedgeforever It was definitely fun to see it in real time since it was definitely an ego boost to see how fit I was! And he does the elliptical for an hour a day so his baseline isn't bad but once you add weights it's a whole different game! I'm so glad you got to chat and connect with your friends on your birthday!

@DonnasWay0805 Welcome to the group! I could never sustain WW either so we're glad to have you here!

@TeresaW1020 Leg day is killer so I can't imagine layering AAA on top of it! I always have to space those out. Today I did Core de Force Plyo and my core is definitely feeling it! Doesn't it feel great to be the fitter one with all the work you've been doing? I'm glad you had fun last night splitting some wine and chocolate with your spouse! And Lent seems like a great way to center healthy habits for the next few months!

@trooworld Wow! You had a super productive day off! Great job setting yourself up for success this week with prepped veggies!

Hi Everyone! I made the most amazing salad yesterday with shredded purple cabbage, shredded carrots, and sliced mini cucumbers in a chipotle sauce. It was delicious and so filling when paired with some protein. Today I'm going to finish up my butternut squash soup and for dinner have my homemade cilantro lime rice with shrimp and probably some more of that salad!

It has been ridiculously cold here (legitimately it is -19 as I type this) so I haven't been able to get any walks in which has been a struggle. I've been using the time to do relaxing yoga and stretch, but it's just not the same as getting outdoors. I'm ready for winter to be over so I can enjoy being outside again.

@trooworld Wise of you to not even touch that Nutella. I so need to clean and organize around there too. This morning I bought this microfiber brush that is supposed to be used to clean blinds. I did test it out but decided that project needs to wait for me to be more in the mood. Which probably explains why my blinds are so very dusty! :D DH and I were just talking about cleaning out our closet, but I want to wait until cold weather is over and then lots of things are going to Goodwill.

@mswatson0777 That salad does sound good. I love chipotle sauce! Do you buy it in a bottle or make it? Yeah, it’s cold everywhere it seems. Even in Georgia! :o

Hi everyone! Well, it’s cold and windy but that didn’t stop me and mom from getting the grocery shopping done. The most awful thing happened on the way to Walmart this morning. As I turned the corner at an intersection, I heard a terrible crash right behind me and looked in my rearview mirror just in time to see this poor man go flying out of his truck and landing on the pavement. If he isn’t dead, he is very badly hurt for sure. It looks like he was turning the same corner, and someone slammed really hard into him. I’m not sure who was at fault. Mom and I were shaken and prayed all the way to the store. That could have been us! Just shows that we all have to be very careful when driving. This poor man’s life was altered in the blink of an eye. :'( After shopping, I came home and had lunch with DH. I won’t be eating lunch for the foreseeable future and I’m really hopeful that shaking up my routine will help with my weight. I’m off to straighten up the house. I have a friend dropping by in an hour and it's too cold to stand on the porch, so she is coming inside. :)

@TeresaW1020 Oh how horrifying! It truly goes to show how important seatbelts are, I'm glad you and your Mom are safe!

@trooworld The salad was so colorful and delicious! The cold should be ending by this weekend so I'm excited to get out again after work. I miss the activity and the time to decompress away from the house. And Mediterranean food is one of my faves, I hope you enjoyed it!

Happy Wednesday All! I'm a little burned out so I asked my SO for a "me day" for today (aka leave me alone and pretend I don't exist while I hide in an introvert bubble and don't talk to anyone). I don't know if anyone else does or needs these but I find them insanely helpful. Lately I've been the emotional sounding board for a lot of folks in my life so I need some time to recharge and decompress.

I could tell my stress levels were rising because I felt bingey yesterday. I'm happy to report I didn't binge and instead had a healthy filling snack and journaled my feelings.

Hello all. I hurt my knee today and I can't walk. Somehow I stepped up on some uneven ground while I was out and pulled something. So obviously won't be exercising for a couple of days. I've been using the RICE method.

@mswatson0777 I retreat into my own little bubble sometimes. As you know, I've not been my chatty self lately. This too shall pass. Good for you for not bingeing and journaling.

@trooworld I love Mediterranean food. So easy to go overboard on that I find. You sound like my sister and 50 being cold. lol Meanwhile my son is in Houston freezing. He moved from Iowa to get away from the cold. lol God had other plans this winter. He finally got some power back after 24+hours. It's crazy there right now it seems. It warmed up a bit but now freezing rain.

@teresaw1020 Goodness on the accident. Angels were watching over your car. I hope he's okay. Hopefully your weight will be moving in the right direction soon.

    @DonnasWay0805 Welcome to the group!

Right now I'm struggling with my eating and trying to figure out how I can blend my carb cycling with my WW blue plan. Either plan would work for me if I would just follow. But for some reason either life or a black hole or whatever seems to find me incapable of it right now despite my good intentions every morning. I'm thinking of doing alternating weeks. Although would that be too confusing? So that's where I am right now mentally.

I struggled for a couple of months juggling WW points on the blue plan and counting my calories.. I had to finally come to terms with simply keeping it simple and just count my healthy calories, I find it much more accurate. And I find it much easier to keep the carbs lower by just doing calories because the points are so high for nuts , cheese and avocado, etc. Just stay steady in the boat and keep it simple. I pray you knew gets better quick. ❤️

@trooworld Yum that salad looks amazing!! I’ve been feeling the need to start organizing and cleaning out my house too. I see it as a sign that spring is coming and we have to be ready!

@theslightedgeforever Ouch, so sorry you hurt your knee! Doing RICE is probably the best thing you can do. Why are you trying to work on two different plans? Would just sticking to one be a better choice? Or maybe switching it up would fit your personality better. With good planning, it might not be too confusing. ;)

@mswatson0777 I think taking a “me day” is a must when you start feeling burned out. That is what my jigsaw puzzles have become. I don’t do them as often as I was, but there is always one hanging out on my dining room table so I can retreat to it when I’m needing some alone time. :)

Good morning! It’s almost time for me to leave for the weekly staff meeting. Afterward, I will be staying behind to start my first day as the church’s cleaning lady. Do I call myself the cleaning lady, custodian, or janitor? I’m not sure but I do know that I have my work cut out for me! Yesterday, I also started Lent where I am denying myself sugar and wine and eating one meal a day. I did have a Keto coffee in the afternoon and will do that when I’m really hungry. It doesn’t spike insulin as food does. My weight hasn’t budged much since coming home from Florida and I need that to change! OK, I'm off to work! :)

@theslightedgeforever Would alternating weeks change the barriers that are currently preventing you from following either? And I'm so sorry to hear about your knee, I hope the RICE method helps!

@TeresaW1020 I say pick the title you like the most! I hope you have a good first day at the second job!

@trooworld oh man I wish I could be on an organizing binge, my house definitely needs it (and some serious spring cleaning if we're being honest). Something tells me the spring after my dissertation is when I'm going to purge all the things!

@DonnasWay0805 Hows the transition to calorie counting going?

Happy Thursday folks! Tonight we're having our quaranteam over for dinner which should be fun! I'm not necessarily in a social mood but once they're over here I bet I will be. I enjoyed the "me night" so much last night I didn't want it to end. This morning I felt such a boost of energy from it I blasted out the rest of my class paper and got my discussion posts done for the week which felt fantastic to get off my plate! I'm planning on having an extremely low-key weekend so I can hopefully replicate the magic of last night to help boost me through the upcoming week. I also finally got the Bridgerton books from the library so I'll have some fun reading material!

@DonnasWay0805 I used to do WW back when it was PointsPlus, then came here. I became prediabetic and the doc wanted me counting carbs. Then I was doing that for a while but was eating too many calories. So I stumbled up on a carb cycling program that worked wonders for me in last half of 2019. Then I got real sick early 2020 and then covid and well you know the rest. I gained 24 lbs last year. Probably 6 this year. I haven't looked. ;So just a while ago, it suddenly came to me what I will try. I will do every other day. carb cycling, WW blue. Best of both worlds. Before I would be satisfied with some cheese cubes and a couple pieces of deli turkey. But when I did blue plan, those points add up. But I do need the vitamins minerals in the f&v. I know it's a balance, so maybe this will work. On carb days, I have a calorie goal that I try and stay under. But if I go over, I don't count myself as off plan if I meet my carb goal.

@trooworld I'm always good for breakfast. lol I follow the same menu every week depending on the day. Plus I would track breakfast. Lunch and after is what became the problem, but I think I found the solution. Read my post to Donna above. My friend recently made me some homemade orange marmalade. I said I'll try it on Monday. She said can't you just try it tomorrow. I said no because I have toast on Mondays. She said, you are so methodical. (true) I can never fold sheets neatly. Now underwear, that's a different story.

@teresaw1020 So why am I thinking about two different plans. With carb cycling, I can feel satisfied most of the time with my choices but I don't necessarily pick things that are really healthy for me and my brain/gut. I know I can lose weight on this one if I just follow the plan (as you know I had a hard time following it in 2020 after I did perfectly for 6 months in 2019.) The other one would have so many good vitamins and minerals and other good benefits for my body, but until I can make those choices into a habit and change my palate, long term it's just not happening. But I get the benefit of if I'm hungry I could go grab a fruit and it be a 0 point food, but then too much of that and my blood sugar numbers might not look so good. See? So I'm going for every other day. I'm still using my red yellow green but will be counting carbs and points on alternate days. So at least 3-4 days a week I'll be getting in some good f&v, beans, etc. I personally like Jazzy Janitress. I'd get a cool uniform for it too. Maybe etsy or redbubble has something.

@mswatson0777 I'm hoping alternating days will break my barriers. I've never had barriers so long before. Time to clean out the cobwebs. I'm glad you enjoyed your me time and feel renewed.

My RICE is working. Doing it again today. Knee is better where at least I can put weight on it and don't have to sit down to put on/take off pants. Still no exercise. Tomorrow is my normal planned rest day so that worked out nicely.

@mswatson0777 .. oh my gosh it's so much easier... I'm 56 and at this point in my life that's the way to go for me.. simple. And I love that it's an accurate accountable method... at the end of the day you know where you landed. 😊❣️

@donnasway0805 I'm glad you found a plan that is working for you.

@trooworld Woohoo on your weight loss! You are becoming a new you. I don't eat the same thing every day for breakfast but I eat the same thing every Monday for breakfast. Then every Tuesday I have the same thing and so forth. Cause I work it around my green, yellow, red days. I can't be eating my french toast and pancakes on a red day. I can normally delay gratification except I haven't been for the past 6 weeks. So I'm ready to get back to that. Underwear folding is easy. Lay them out. fold the crotch area upward to meet the top and then fold the right and left sides toward the middle. It makes a flat square for easy stacking. One day I'll learn to fold sheets nicely.

Well I tracked all day yesterday for the first time in a long time. So that's progress.

Green Day- Went Over 294/238 carbs :(
Still no exercise due to knee problem
    Water 2/6 :|

@theslightedgeforever Yeah, I like Jazzy Janitress too! I would definitely need a bedazzled uniform with a title like that. :D I am sure you will find a plan that will get you moving in the right direction and fit your life. Glad that your knee is feeling better. Ohhh and never in my life have I considered how to properly fold underwear. I feel if they are at least in somewhat a manageable pile, I’m good to go. :D

@trooworld Congrats on your amazing weight loss this week!! I used to open my Christmas presents that my mom wrapped because she must have thought that scotch tape was gold and would barely use any. Made it so easy!! :D

Hello everyone! Today was day two as the church’s jazzy janitress and I am soooo tired!! I worked almost 5 hours and after over 12,000 steps and 6 flights of stairs, I called it quits and will go back and finish up tomorrow. The guy who cleaned our church did the bare minimum, which granted is a lot of work, but I will have no choice but to go above and beyond because I can’t see dirt that up close and personal and not do something about it. I know it will get better once I’ve gotten things the way I like them. My weight was up a pound this week. Mostly due to me blowing going to Mexican with the staff yesterday. We hadn’t all gone together in such a long time and they wouldn’t take no for an answer. It’s all good. I know that I will get it off next week. I better because I don’t want to end the month with a stupid gain! :#

Hello, The WW meeting place here closed and not another one close to us, I am an older adult and can't drive long distance at night for meetings. I reached lifetime years ago losing 68lbs but I have gained a lot back. I've been using the My Fitness Pal to track my food but I don't know what Macro ratio to use as a target. I'm trying to limit carbs to fresh Veg and Fruits and lean meats. Any help would be appreciated.

@trooworld That feta pasta dish looks amazing!! Great idea to give it away and keep the scale moving downward. We have a very sunny day here today too. But of course, it will rain tomorrow. Ugghhh! :s

@bsthorn1 Welcome! :) There are lots of different macro calculators you can find on the Internet depending on what kind of eating plan you are doing. I do intermittent fasting and Keto, so I keep my carbs as low as possible.

Hello! Today has been fairly relaxed. I took off from working out since I had spent the last three days murdering my body with the cleaning gig I'm doing. After church DH and I tackled the floors and a little housework. Afterward, I did some computer church work, straightened up my extremely messy desk, and started putting together a menu for next week. Sometimes I just hate the weekly menu planning. Soooo tedious trying to come up with tasty food to feed my people. If it was just me I would probably go carnivore and be done with it. :D Next week I’m going to go back to do two days a week only eating the one 500 calorie meal and I plan to keep it almost pure protein with very little fat and no carbs. I watched this video that explained that doing that 2 or 3 times a week can really accelerate weight loss. Worth a try!!

Hi all...I am still here, lol. Another snowy day in Iowa. But supposed to be in the 30-40’s this week, so much better than the cold weather we had. Our dd in OK has had quite a bit of snow & ice lately, too, but my brother said it will be 60’s there this week. DD’s ex had frozen water pipes, but guess OK now & has water again.

Today is my oldest dd (the one in OK)’s birthday. How did she get to be 44, since I am still so young!😂😂

@trooworld Yay, for beautiful weather! Spring is definitely on the way! Your pasta dish looked delicious! I have chili cooking in the crockpot again, with corn muffins.

@theslightedgeforever I feel so bad for your ds in Texas. They have really had the winter weather! Probably Mother Nature didn’t want him to miss Iowa too much, lol. Hope you find your determination again. Glad your knee is doing better. I did laugh at your comments about the walnuts & chia seeds, but know there is some truth there.

@TeresaW1020 It sounds like your church really needed the Jazzy Janitress. I’m sure you will get it looking great! I am looking forward to going to OK & get some good Mexican food. I’m sure you will get the little gain off this week.

@mswatson0777 I don’t know how you get everything done! Hope you had fun with your quaranteam.

@cbabie Hope you are doing well. Keep walking.

@bsthorn1 Welcome. My WW story about the same. I lost, got lifetime, gained it back, and have restarted quite a few times. The last time I quit, it was too far to drive to the meetings. As far as macros, I would start out with what MFP gives you & see how you do. A lot of people say the protein is too low. I am trying to eat more whole food, plant based but haven’t totally given up meat. So my carbs are higher than most.

I think I may need to see if I can get into the dentist or Dr. My mouth on one side is so sore, not sure why. I was blaming dh’s peanut brittle..thought it cut my gum, but not sure that’s what it is. It hurts around back teeth & hurts to open wide. & jaw hurts, so either TMJ (which I have never had), or a bad tooth. Need to get better..dh gets his 2nd COVID shot Friday & mine on following Monday. (They won’t do it on weekend, even tho 1st one was)

On the plus side, I have been determined to get 10,000 steps a day & have done it every day in Feb. Looking back, I see it was most days (but not all) in January, too. And I am staying away from the”evil” peanut brittle, just in case, lol.

Hope everyone has a great week!
