What worked for you today?

What worked for me today was a slow cooker dinner already cooking so that dinner is taken care of tonight.7

What is the brand name of the "lemon loaf tea"? Hope I can get it in the US.1 -
Getting behind the wheel of my "thin" friend's car, and not having to move the seat back. I even noticed today that I really should pull my seat "up" in my car. It's a different world out there when you're thinner!5

Not weight related but self care. I called my dentist because I'm in bad tooth pain so tonight I will pick up antibiotics and a pain killer. I have a hard time with self care so this is a big step for me.12

We took stuff to the dump today, and I can tell that our workouts are already paying off, because we lifted old pieces of fencing and random leftover bits of guttering and a tote full of golf balls the previous owners left (WTF?) and felt physically competent doing it, and that's a NICE feeling.9

Main thing is I didn't just throw in the towel and give up. I got right back on track today, saying I am human I do mess up and journaled some about why I overate yesterday and made a plan for next time.
I would not go to a buffet unless I *planned* to 'mess up,' haha. Every now and then I just don't think about my weight/healthy eating, because once in a blue moon won't hurt. I'm in a holding pattern right now--birthday and vacation. I won't do any serious damage in a couple of weeks and a few pounds gained will be mostly water weight. And any "real" weight gain (ie, fat), will not make more than a couple of weeks difference in the big scheme of things. Knowing that, and having a healthier lifestyle for my day to day living, makes it so much easier to enjoy this time and not feel hopeless because of it.3 -
went to a church eating thing, buffet style, I ate veggies and meat and 1/2 piece of cake, left the rest of the carby stuff alone. I learned my lesson after last week at Golden Corral, dont go back after sweets, leave bread alone. If you go back for 2nds, let it be veggies. win win6

only second day but logging is the answer for me12

A long walk. I’m on vacation and eating what I want. Enjoying myself bc sometimes it’s ok not to focus on losing.5

It's from Tazo! I'm in the US as well (Georgia) and I get it at Kroger3 -
love these posts, very helpful. I had Hershey choc pie and split it with husb. I try not to deny me stuff because if I do I will just go crazy with it later. We ate fish sand at Burger King and I take my low carb flatbread.7

today i tried my best to stay within the limits of my macronutrients for the day, unfortunately still went a little over on carbs but less than yesterday, kinda still over on the fats and proteins just a little under the reccomended grams. Kinda had too much avocado with my dinner turning it into a salad of sorts with organic spinach and vegan shredded cheese no dressing. Just gotta keep trying and tuning the food selection.6

I added 20 gm of protein in a smoothie every morning. It got me closer to what MFP says I should have. After I did that, the "scale moved" and I've been losing the 1 lb a week I had planned.8

Listening to my body & not eating until hungry
Listening to my body & eating more if it’s still hungry
No sugar
Eating each meal in two parts spread apart
10K steps every day, year round6 -
Keeping busy all day. One thing I've really noticed during the pandemmy is screen time = eat time and since my screen time has been up, oh, about 1000% , it's not a good look. When I limit my screen time (Netflix, video games, mindless scrolling) and do more analog stuff like cleaning, drawing and reading I also eat less.5

Mini tootsie roll pops.
20 calories each. I get a bit of sugar and chocolate and it lasts a long time.6 -
What worked for me was eating plenty of fat and protein. An avocado and sardines for an early lunch kept me full for 5 hours.5

Ran for 3 minutes, tracked my food6

YouTuber Will Tennyson suggested a walk after meal to aid digestion and he also recommends that you get 10,000-15,000 steps per day. I decided to combine them. In the morning I do my usual 60 minute workout and for the last two weeks I have added going out for a walk after dinner. I use that walk to complete my 10,000 steps for the day. The results have been miraculous. The scale is moving again, my sleep has improved 100% and my "colon health" is the best its been in many years..... .10

Today it was getting laundry completed and a weight lifting session, then got my first dose of my covid vaccine. ( Super stoked about that) And now it's beautiful and warm outside so after this lunch of mine I am hitting up a bike session too. All before work tonight....lol5

I was aggravated with dentist visit and he took 2 days to get back with me and you know what I do when aggravated. Not this time, I said that if I eat it will just give me one more problem so I went to the trail and walked off my frustration. Told myself food will just give me unhappiness! Destroys me.14

Today I stayed mindful of the moment because too often, way way too often, I find myself thinking about the future and it leads to anxiety. So I pulled myself out of the future I am not yet in and I put myself in the present moment and that was my present to myself today. Because when I'm anxious, I unnecessarily snack.12

I had one of those containers of soft cookies from the bakery section of the grocery store in my hand and was about to put it in my cart, even though I KNOW I would not be able to limit myself to just one or two and I would feel sick and ashamed tonight.
What worked for me today was saying out loud, right there in the grocery store, "I don't want to do this any more." I recognized that the craving to binge is neurological junk and that I can accept the urge and let it pass without giving in to it.20 -
What worked for me today was that I intermittent fasted, ate at 12:30.
Secondly, what worked for me today was that I found a strength training video that I really appreciate and I did it. I also rode my stationary bike for 15 minutes.
What else worked for me was that I made good food choices today. I just ate dinner and now I'm going to leisurely walk 3 miles, which calms me down in the evening.4 -
What worked for me today is tracking all my food and sticking to my plan. Weighing myself in the morning. Having pre-thought out healthy meal options and having my fridge stocked with lots of greens and other healthy choices.
I log all my food/exercise with MFP throughout the day. I have a commitment to read inspiring some stories/ideas everyday.
What is working for me is not worrying about being hungry. I am learning to sit with hunger. It will pass, I am not dying. I eat a lot of veggies, I eat enough and I eat well.
What is working for me is that I am focused and committed to myself and to having success.11 -
What worked for me today was 45 minutes of challenging (for me) yoga. It made me want to make good choices all day.6
-
Took the calories from the last 2 days that I didn't use and had a small walk in the rain. Hopefully I'll eat something yummy and calorific for dinner.4
-
Acknowledging that I am in charge of what I am eating now 45 days of faithful logging & realisation of a massive mind shift. Some slip ups, but hey, not a slip up ending in a terminal landslide with food.8
-
I have been struggling to lose 2 lb , so I have increase my protein with a breakfast protein and things ar moving in the right direction. With working a rolling shift pattern it is hard to follow a diet plan, so using this calorie counting app has really helped.

What is working for me today is being patient with myself. I am recovering from gum replacement surgery so I can't exercise or eat my regular diet right now. What I can do is rest, heal, and continue to track my calories. I adjusted my activity level and am still loosing.9
