@trooworld Thanks for the recipe. I think I would try Teresa’s suggestion about the cauliflower. Great idea about the WW bike combo. Woohoo on the 5 lbs.

@cbabie. I like how you know what kind of Fitbit I have better than me. 😆 I forgot I bought a new one. It shouldn’t be old then. I’ll have to check. So 15 min of movement. What will it be?

    Happy Saturday all-

Tracked my breakfast this morning, and started on making my grocery list. Adding more fruits and vegetables. Can’t buy ice cream and root beer. They are too tempting.

I talked with my coworker yesterday about gym and eating healthier. Was going to cancel it to cut costs and I can work out at home. But my freeze ends today and think I’m going to give it a month of trying to go 3x a week. If I don’t then I’m canceling it. Dogs need the exercise too anyways and I have weights at home. So I’m torn. I could be saving the 30 bucks a month.

Teresa congratulations on losing the pound!

    Have a great Saturday everyone!

@gemwolf110 Hopefully the doctor can give you some insight into what is causing the palpitations. That has to be scary! Walking the dogs and doing some weights at home are both great ways to get in exercise. Do you like doing videos? I know there are a ton on YouTube. I have Beachbody on Demand that costs $100 a year and is worth it to me.

@Troowold Thanks for being my cheerleader! You know that I’m yours too. <3 That is a good idea to change your weigh-in day to fit with your WW meetings. I almost got prime rib yesterday at the restaurant. I wouldn’t even know how to cook it myself. I Googled melting potatoes and I need to stop doing that kind of thing! Yum! :D

Hello everyone! Today, was another high protein day and it went well, except my chicken was too dry. No one wants to eat 8 oz. of dry chicken, but I forced myself for the greater good. :# I was happy that the scale was actually down this morning after eating a ton of steak and drinking a beer yesterday. Just goes to show that balance is everything. Tomorrow, I’m making a Keto cheesecake for Mother’s Day and I have every intention of enjoying that! Today, DH and I went to the library and I brought home 10 Keto cookbooks. I guess I’m in this thing for the long haul now. :D

@trooworld I got 50% What are melting potatoes? Woohoo on the walk. Way to be active.

@gemwolf110 That's great that you are adding more f&v. I found a vegetarian cookbook on my shelf that I don't think I've ever used. I'm going to take a look at that. The question to ask yourself is WILL YOU do the workouts at home. Some people do better at an outside gym because it forces them to go to the gym at a certain time. Where as at home you can keep saying, I'll do it later after this.

@teresaw1020 So note to self: Do not google melting potatoes. I was thinking lots of butter. Was that it? oh, we could do melting cauliflower? I can't eat dry chicken anymore. It gets stuck in my esophagus. Yaaay on the weight loss

That’s what I’m thinking if I have to go to gym I will go especially if I’m paying for it. Not wasting a dollar. I’ve got to find some healthy recipes to try.

Yuck dry chicken but that’s awesome about being down. Yes I do. I usually do Zumba via some with the whole pandemic.

@gemwolf110 Great job tracking breakfast! How'd you do the rest of the day on tracking? Adding more fruits and veggies is a good idea. I can't buy ice cream/treats either or I'll just eat them up.

@TeresaW1020 Absolutely you are, as are the rest of this crew! <3 Yeah, I follow an easy recipe for the prime rib. ;) Lord, no, don't google them lol! Oh gosh, that sucks your chicken was dry. Balance truly is everything. Congrats on the scale being down. I hope your cheesecake comes out well.

@theslightedgeforever They are also known as "Fondant potatoes". They are "buttery, crispy on the outside, creamy in the middle". There is fresh thyme and garlic in the dish. Usually, you sear disks of the potatoes in a skillet and then braise them to tenderness but my recipe is easier and is done completely in the oven. How are you doing? How's the knee?

Hi all. It was nice walking at the lake yesterday. We made it around twice before we had to go. The WW meeting went well. I received my 25 lb charm and I heard something that is a game-changer for me. When I said I was worried about gaining it back since I'd lost 25 lbs before, the leader said this: "Protect the progress." It's just 3 words but it says so much. I did not protect the progress last night, however: I didn't make the rib roast and potatoes...we ordered pizza instead. Although I had only 2 pieces, usually I have 3-4. I'm making the rib roast and potatoes when we get back from Mother's Day celebration. Mother's Day is tough for me: I am not a mother and don't have a mother. It brings back painful memories for me (I had a traumatic childhood) so I usually try to stay off social media for a few days before and after Mother's Day. It's not quite accurate to say I don't have a mother---I have my mother-in-law and we will celebrate over at my brother-in-law's apartment. But I think you know what I mean. My sister-in-law is getting quiche from a bakery and I'm making a salad and my husband is making his famous lemon bars. Happy Mother's Day to those that celebrate it. I truly hope you are surrounded by love today.

My phrase for the year: CHANGE HAPPENS

I did pretty good. Stayed within calories. Got 14K steps yesterday and 15k today. Love having a retail job that keeps me going on the weekends.

Congratulations on 25lbs! Sending hugs to you today. It can be a tough day.

@theslightedgeforever Yeah, I think trooworld enjoys showing us her food porn pics and I do admit that I enjoy looking at them. :D Melting cauliflower could totally work for us!

@trooworld Yayyy and congrats on getting your 25 lb. charm. I did like the charm aspect of WW. It was always so fun to get a new one. “Protect the process” is a great phrase and one that I am going to adopt as well. I really think that if we can also adopt a hard rule that we will not go off plan more than one day at a time. So, today you will get back on plan and do what you know works. As will I! ;) Yeah, I get your feelings about Mother’s Day. <3

Good morning! I had fun yesterday morning in children’s church. It was just me and 11 kids and two of the boys are on the autism spectrum, but it went perfectly fine. We made a Mother’s Day craft for their moms and they all had fun with that. It was good for me to hang out with them instead of focusing on my own sadness that I don’t have my daughter anymore. And since I have mom living with me, I made sure to get her a cute gift and I made Keto cheesecake, which she loves. Today, I’m doing a high protein day to get back on track from eating over my calories and macros yesterday. Now, I’m off to do a long workout since I don’t have anything on my schedule for today. Yayy!! :)

Morning all, I am going to try and make my walks again starting today. I have been so lax/busy, that got pushed by the wayside. I am trying to monitor myself since we don't know what caused me to have issues last week. LOL. I did my WI and I was SHOCKED, I lost 1.4lbs. I just need to keep this momentum lOL

@TeresaW1020 I agree I loved getting the charms. So glad you had fun yesterday with the kids. I used to love to make the crafts for mom..how fun. I am sorry Mother's day has a sadness for you. I love cheesecake. :)

@trooworld so sorry to hear about the heartburn. I know the feeling....I have had several test ran on me this past week and nothing...I hope you feel better soon!!!! Great job on the walk and the charm!

    @theslightedgeforever We are potato lovers!!!

@gemwolf110 Hope you had a good day yesterday and congrats on the steps.

@gemwolf110 Good for you for keeping your zumba going.

@trooworld The knee is better. Every once in a while one or the other knee seems to just give out but no pain. I have not been as good in my PT exercises as I once was so need to get back to them. I see her again in June. ooh I just might have to make those potatoes but will try cauliflower. I wonder what half/half would taste like. Congrats on your 25 lb charm. I like that phrase. Protect the progress. I hate wasting time and money in medical establishments. Although had it been something serious and you didn't go.........

@teresaw1020 Funny how you said, I had fun yesterday and then said 11 kids. I thought those two things don't go together in my brain. :D I'm glad you enjoy it. Someone is needed to do that. My Aunt Joyce used to teach 2-3 year olds in Sunday School and then I would help her out for VBS in the summers. That was fun. I don't think I have the patience now. I can't stand noise.

@cbabie That's good you are planning out your walks. Movement is for more than just weight loss. So many benefits to our health.

I forgot to mention Happy Mothers Day to all....as Trooworld pointed out there are all different kinds of mothers. I played cards and parcheesi with my dd via Zoom. She beat me both times. I said, it's mother day, you should have let me win. She said, You didn't on my birthday? >:) My other son called me. Hubby and son that live here are the kind that don't get excited with celebrations. :s They said, you know we love you. That's not the point....... lol

@cbabie Congrats on your 1.4 lb loss. That is awesome!! :)

@theslightedgeforever I used to be really sensitive to noise too and the kids would drive me crazy, but I’ve gotten desensitized. I told DH that after church on Sunday how they were running around playing a very loud game of tag and I wasn’t even phased. I also have a little dog that loves to bark!

@trooworld that potato recipe really does look great. My DH and mom would LOVE them!! I buy those tiny potatoes in a container that you pop in the microwave and then add some butter and the seasoning packet to it. When I make them, I might have three or four and I find that is enough to give me a good taste without blowing my macros. So, enjoy your melting potatoes but concentrate more on the Prime Rib! :)

Good morning! DH and I slept until 8 am this morning! I guess we were both tired. I don’t have much going on today. I need to run to Walmart and then get some housework done and finish my latest jigsaw puzzle. Yesterday, I did a double workout and one of them was fairly high-intensity cardio and I was pleased that I could actually keep up for most of it. I sure have come a long way from when I first started working out. I’m 1.5 lbs away from reaching 85 lbs. loss and I want it by Friday. So, I’m tracking and watching my macros closely. *fingers crossed!* :)

Afternoon all, I did get on my Treadmill this morning. DH was watching me in case I had issues. LOL. My baby girl tried to walk in place like I was doing.. it was cute. I did 20 min, so I felt better about that. However, I have been grazing today. Not sure why, but it's a bite here, a nibble there..UGH.

@trooworld those potatoes sound YUMMY. You know I want to die sometimes with heartburn, it hurts and makes me miserable. You may have not thought it was that, but you know you were in pain..don't ever feel stupid, you are not a baby.. you didn't feel well and you know your body more than anyone. You know next time, it might be something else. You never not get help if you feel you need it. Promise me... See you already have plans on how to not keep the scale going the wrong way. You got this week!!

@TeresaW1020 I love when I wake up and it's not 5am...glad you got some rest. You have come a long way and I am glad I have been on this journey with you. You have been an inspiration to me.

@trooworld My plan to do more PT exercises is to do them at a certain time. My sil is here visiting for 3 weeks so I'm a little distracted right now. I'm trying to put my health first though and excuse myself to do my exercise.

@teresaw1020 Barking dogs. NOT! you are doing so well on keeping up with your movement and food.

@cbabie Yaaaay on the treadmill. Did you track your nibbles? Everything counts. Yes, I have lots of karma coming my way with my kids.

Morning all, I got in a 15min walk late last night with baby girl. I bought a bicycle yesterday and a baby trailer so I can start riding bikes. I tracked all my food yesterday as well. It was a better day eating. We will see how much damage I did on WI on Monday. LOL. Still have the weekend to get through.

@trooworld I hope you don't have a UTI, they told me I had a "slight' one last week when they were running test on me. I probably just am not drinking enough water. Just keep pluggin...you got this.

@theslightedgeforever Yea I could have done something else, but I reverted back to my old habits...someday that won't be my old habits. LOL. Yes please put your health first...even though I speak with forked tongue. LOL

@trooworld Good for you for fighting for what you want! It’s that kind of determination that is going to get the job done!

Good morning! Well, I didn’t make my milestone goal but I did lose ½ pound and I’m closer than I was last week. Yesterday, I stayed after the staff meeting and cleaned both buildings so I get to stay home today. At 10 am I’m going to buy tickets to my very favorite Christian singer, David Crowder. He is coming to our town the day that DH and I come home from our trip to Savannah for our October anniversary. DH and I are super excited and now we just have to wait another 5 months for our trip and concert. :)

@trooworld, Like I already told you in F2F, you will get that gain off. You just have to stay focused and get back to sticking to your plan. I wonder if the cheese and sauce from the pizza helped to cause the gain. I know it would have for me. Last night, I had too much cheese for dinner and my weight was up. I have never had Ethiopian food. What did you get? What kind of art did you and DH make? :)

Hello! Today was a productive day. I spent a good portion of it deep cleaning my kitchen and going through all my cabinets, pantry, and fridge. I threw a good amount of expired food away. I had to take the trash out myself or hubby would have wanted to dig stuff back out. Ewww!! :s I switched up my workout again and I’m going to do 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix extreme for the next 6 weeks. On some of the days, I will do double workouts. I spent some time this morning refocusing on my “Why” and that if I just buckle down and do this thing I could be living in maintenance. I really do want that! :)

Hello! My sister called my mom yesterday and told her that her knees are so bad and she is in so much pain she can barely walk. She needs my mom to come down to Florida and help with the grandkids until my sister can get her doctor to do a double knee replacement. We thought this would be later in the year but nope I'm packing now and will leave tomorrow morning to drive mom down. Not sure how long she will be gone but she is planning for at least a couple of months. I'll be home late Wednesday so will post later this week. Take care! :)

Morning all, Sorry I have been MIA. LIfe has been just overwhelming this past week. I did awful this week with my eating...someone here likes buttercream frosting cake and kept buying it.....UGH. So I am up 2.2 lbs. Back to better eating habits and movement. LOL

@TeresaW1020 So sorry to hear about your sister. I will pray that she gets that surgery quicker than later and her recovery is quick. I bet you will miss your mom's presence and yet will enjoy a little alone time with DH. LOL. Congrats on the loss...glad one of us had a loss. LOL

@trooworld Sorry for the gain...I totally understand and we both will be kicking butt next week. LOL. So glad you got to enjoy DH all day. I hope that today you stay away from temptation. LOL

Afternoon all. I walked on my TM andI did a bike ride today. I am HUNGRY..lol. I am trying to stay on track with my eating..hopefully I will lose the 2.2 I gained. LOL. PB has been greatly reduced from my diet. I guess that is a good thing.

@trooworld that place is beautiful!!! I am so glad you got to go and enjoy. How come your Goodwills doesn't always take donations? Ours do...sometimes I prefer to give to Salvation Army because they use it to help those who are in need and don't "profit" like Goodwill does. (my 2 cents worth) lol since anyone asked. :)

@trooworld, Please don't be embarrassed about your weigh-in! Think about what you would tell any of our team members if they were upset and apply it to yourself. And maybe you do need to look at doing something different. Is the WW plan not working for a reason? Is the plan itself the problem or you sticking to the plan? Either way is cause for you to evaluate the next steps you need to take. Stay positive and you will change things around. <3

Hello, I’m got home yesterday and was so exhausted but happy to be back home with my birthday boy hubby. <3 I took my sister to her doctor's appointment and she will have double knee surgery in a few weeks. My mom will stay until my sister can fully take care of the grandkids. I stepped on the scale this morning and not surprising my weight is wayyyy up from eating All the carbs, getting hardly any sleep, and no fasting. I also didn't drink my water. This morning I’m back to fasting, did a workout, and have been guzzling the water. But my weigh-in tomorrow for my group isn't going to be pretty! :# DH and I are in talks about getting me a new car so he and my mom can have mine to drive around town. His car is old and mom hates driving it. I drive a 2013 Acura RDX and like the safety aspect of her and DH driving it. Plus, I'm not upset about the prospect of driving a newer model car.

@TeresaW1020 So glad you made it back home safe. You will get the lbs back off. It was a side journey. LOL. I am glad your sister has your mom. LOL a new car in your future...sounds like a plan.

@theslightedgeforever you didn't go over that much.

@trooworld I know you will figure out what is causing the gain...and you will get losing again. You have proven you know your body and what works for YOU. This is temporary. I have faith in you.

@cbabie What did you end up doing for exercise? Yes, not much over but over is still over.

@trooworld I'm trying to make these weight loss skills for life whether or not I have guests. Now to just get the exercise going consistently. So what's happening on the weekend that keeps you going over your weekly points? Lack of planning? Lack of cooking? Going to relatives? We just keep trying to get this right. That's what we do.

@teresaw1020 I hope your sister's surgery goes well. Traveling makes it hard to stay in a routine. You'll be losing again before you know it.

Yesterday I didn't do so well. But it's all tracked.

@cbabie How are you and baby girl liking the bike rides?

@theslightegedgeforever Traveling makes it hard and then getting back in the swing of it is hard. I'll get there! How have you been doing overall with your weight loss? What is the biggest struggle you are facing?

@trooworld, yup you will get that gain off and I will get mine off too! Have fun with your friend!

Hello! So, I got a new car!! It's a 2021 red Honda CRV. We test drove several and the CRV ticked off all the boxes I wanted and the price didn't make DH cry... too much! I love that it has Apple Car Play and now I can listen to my podcasts when driving. Plus, my mom is thrilled that when she comes back home she will have the Acura to drive. DH will sell his Honda Element and drive the Acura too. In other news, my eating was much better and my workout was DH and I cleaning and reorganizing the garage this morning. Tomorrow, I plan to really buckle down and get this weight gain off!
