Switching up my morning workout in situ even though a CrossFit class was taking up all the space in the public open air gym 😑7

I tried a new thing - stand up paddle-boarding! I didn't let the fact that I'm 50lbs overweight stop me from doing something I've wanted to try for YEARS. It gave me a huge burst of confidence and is yet another reminder that I shouldn't put on my life on hold because I'm overweight. I can do awesome things during the process of losing!26

coffee with friends and a good salad for my lunch out. What didn't work so well was a key lime bar on return but then I didn't eat ALL the key lime bars that were left, so maybe that did work well today6

I was out jogging today - well, dragging myself really, I'm a very slow runner - when out of nowhere this guy flies past me and says "go, you!".
By the time my brain had processed that, he was already too far for me to say anything, so... in the unlikely event that he's reading this: Thank you, random runner with the green t-shirt! You really made my day and that encouragement was a nice boost to help me finish my run.22 -
Going for a walk in a new neighborhood. It gave me confidence to walk again tomorrow and stay in control with food.14
-
Drinking lots of water, going out for walks, making sure not to eat until I'm very hungry, eating slowly and making sure I don't force myself to eat everything.10

Defeated the voices in my head that tried to stop me from going to the track, then tried to convince me to "take it easy". Got my Interval training in and feel pretty good. Sometimes it is 1 Day at a time, sometimes it's 1 workout at a time and then those bad days when it is 1minute at a time17

I'm less than five miles to work. So I've started bicycling to and from. Fortunately there is a locker room in the building with a shower. I've been taking a longer way home and am burning about 600 calories extra per day.26

Walking 10,000 steps before breakfast 🏃🏼♀️.
This put me in such a positive mind space and surprisingly I had heaps of energy all day long. I felt invincible and even now at bedtime still have energy for more. Bring it on 😄12 -

On my cardio mornings I can get my 10K before work but a little harder on my weight training days. Luckily I work in a building with a very long hallway. It does get you fired up to get those 10K in early5 -
Had a dance party infront of the tv for 10 minutes, then walked the dog as the sun came up.10

What worked for me today was taking a day off from life--includng the gym and MFP. Funnily enough I hit my calorie goal anyway, though the macros weren't great. It's been fun, but I'm actually glad to be back to normal tomorrow. I really wouldn't WANT to eat this way everyday, and that's a nice thing to realize. Makes me feel encouraged about going on maintenance.8

Eating a meal for lunch instead of grazing. It is easier for me to remember, keep track9

Lately, I've been skipping meals/not feeling hungry and undereating as a result. So, I went to the store today and bought some vegan chik'n nuggets. They were delicious and helped me fill out my calories!8

Today just like yesterday I follow CICO. I stay under 1300 calories and make sure to get a minimum of 45 minutes of fitness. GO ME!!!12

Paradoxically, what worked for me today was not working out. My appetite skyrockets when I do cardio and then I overeat and make excuses. I took off a week from working out, dropped my calorie intake by 200, and finally saw the scale move.7

I have been having trouble making my calorie goal too because I'm not feeling hungry I have to consciously add to my meals2 -
Not strictly today but I'm off work for a week and my dog and I are going to stay in a cottage for a few days and enjoy lots of local walks! However, I didn't realise the cottage doesn't have a freezer and I mostly eat frozen foods. I've had to completely change my meals which is tough for me as a creature of habit. So what's working for me is being optimistic, if I end up putting anything on - the world won't end! I'm nervous but we're going to get plenty of exercise and also relax and enjoy my time off work.10

It's rough! It seems to have evened out for me and I'm feeling my usual hunger levels again, but it was a struggle for a while. I'm still proud that I fueled my body properly through it though, even if it was with 'junk' food4 -
Taking a small snack and trusting that would be enough. And it was!11

Cycled five miles in to work. This afternoon will cycle five miles home.9
-
Signing back into the app. Things seem more balanced right away.11

Got a new scale and started weighing myself again - re-joined MyFitnessPal - stress of this year has really added the lbs.8

Seeing some old friends from school-days tomorrow, made me buckle down a bit on my diet, drink my water and keep up with my exercise. It will not be the last time I see them, I want look even better next time! Yeah, it's sort of petty but it is motivating.12

Logging my meals and staying focused on my goal!8

Taking some time to breathe and shake off the mental chaos I felt this morning during a much needed hike.9

Being very gentle and kind to myself last night when I wanted to say "screw it" and make a pita pizza bc we finally have everything back in the house for my fave and also things were going crummy. But I'd already eaten, and I did not have anywhere near the calories to spare--especially since when I have one, I nearly always go back and have another. So instead I ate a salted caramel greek yogurt bar (120 calories.) It wasn't enough, so I had another. And then, I couldn't talk myself out of a third. But then I went swimming, and I ended up only ~100 calories over.
If I'd yelled at myself about it, or tried to eat nothing at all, I know I would have blown it big time. Those pizzas are so easy and so tasty to make! But instead I will eat very carefully today, with the plan to have one or even two for dinner tonight.16 -
Going out to eat and cutting the sandwich in half first thing. (Wound up having the second half for dinner tonight.)10
