I'm betting it was more your Aussie than the St. Bernard. My son has an Aussie Border Collie mix and she's a bit crazy and high strung about somethings, but we love her. Very intelligent. I used to call her a ADHD dog. She would go bonkers over reflections of light outside or a laser pointer like a cat. Luckily she could care less about other dogs. Now if they come at her, she can put them on their back. But walking along if they bark at her she just looks at them. She gives a look like, "What are you barking at?" And she just keeps walking on by.

    Hope you recover soon!

    10/1 191.6 (body fat 44.1%) Oct goal 188.6: loss of 3 lbs
    10/8 190
    10/15 188.2 -- and I met goal!! Woo hoo!!
10/22 187.4 -- and I kept losing after goal!! Woo hoo!!
    10/29

    My non-scale goals:

🎃 walk 2 miles every single day
🎃 concentrate on food as nutrition or as medicine
🎃 be patient and remember that increments are where it is at - every little bit really does count
🎃 remember where I came from and how far I have come. I have never been closer to goal weight, and never tried this successfully for this long
🎃lost total of 89.6 lbs and only 57.4 lbs to go till goal weight 130 lbs!

@Deanner03 I had two huge monster dogs when I started in 2013 that were 180 lbs between the two of them. Phew! That is work! I hope you feel better soon. (((hugs)))

Welcome @MeowScout! I remember hating it in the beginning too. It is a habit now, a tool that I have successfully used to be accountable and lose weight. I don't think I could do this without it. I now think of it as all math all the time, and a little mini game of nutrition sudoku! Making a game out of it can help with the sting of the new habit. Sometimes, I think of it as I am burning calories that are on backlog - like filing. Or like decluttering, I am cleaning this thing out, and while I am doing it it's difficult, but I am so grateful I am doing it!

Well done all!! Love the NSV's and goals all!! Keep it up ladies, we are almost at the October goal line of zombies and labyrinths!! We can do this one choice at a time!! I believe in you!!

Keep making good choices every time!! (((((hugs)))))

Also, NSV my wedding dress from Jan 6, 1995 fits! Also, I thought I was a size 14 not so. I was a size 18 so yeah - I am definitely size 16-18 right now I think. I bought xl underwear that I am glad I got only one pack because they are a little big. So I guess I won't be wearing them for long? Not sure, at first I lost what felt like a lot of weight quite fast in comparison to when I hit onederland, and now it feels a little slower. If I didn't care about nutrition I could lose faster - but that is not the decision I am making.

I want nutrition and support of my body during this weight loss, and I want to eat like a healthy person instead of an ignorant teenager. I ate like one of those for way too long!! Another NSV losing weight seems to have soothed the majority of my hives! I can't eat cheese (boo!) - I am pretty sure whey gives me instant hives just because cheese was my favorite food! I tried to eat cottage cheese for breakfast on Monday and broke out for 3 days. But even so, the hives were not as severe as they used to be. So even that is progress.

I have heard that some ladies when they lost all the weight had some measure of relief from the fibroids as well! Yet another reason to do this. I could use some relief in that area - my womb is trying to kill me ya'll!

The Dr. gave me a different thyroid medicine, and it has helped the mind fog significantly! Not enough to say I am out of the woods entirely, but I am doing better. Before all this I had a mercury filling break and I swallowed it (of course) and then when I got to the dentist he had to take out some other ones to stabilize it and so I took out all of them. So I am thinking maybe if I detox the mercury I can maybe get my thyroid stabilized and my mind will possibly work better. Maybe, could be, who knows. But at least I am not walking around the house wondering what I am supposed to be doing all day long - that was rough!! I was really thinking I would be dead in a year or less with that kind of brain impairment!

Here is wishing all of you and your families good health!

    GW for October: 218-220
    GW for 2021: 204-208
UGW: 173 by May 2022, then maintenance

Decided to log a day early. Super busy day tomorrow and won't have time to get onto the community board to update. Wedding went great. Certainly loss at a slower rate than anticipated, but I still lost weight! Don't know for certain whether I will break 220 before November, but I'm pretty darn close. Feels like I haven't gone to the gym in forever, though. :/

On the plus side, I am currently wearing some size 14 jeans- the size I wore back when I was a student athlete- and they aren't uncomfortable. Decided to also try on a formal gown I had worn to a banquet 4 years ago. It was tight on me then. Now? Fits perfectly! (Ironically it says size 18, but that may have been UK sizing). It'll almost be sad when it gets too big. But if I have a formal event come up in the next couple of years, I'll probably want to buy or rent a new dress anyways.

Thank you for the welcome, all. Today was a bit easier, stayed just under calorie range, and I am focusing more on how my body feels. I’m working on not needing to feel full and trying to pinpoint why I would want to. I’m looking forward to a good night’s sleep!

October GW: 209 (met 10/15) new goal 205
    Ultimate Goal: 150-160

Total - 9 lbs since July, 1.4lbs since Oct 1st.

    October 1: 213.8
    October 8: 212.4 (-1.4)
    October 15: 209.6 (-2.8)
    October 22: 210.2 (+ 0.6)
    October 29:

All my belly aching last week and I'm almost back to 209. I had gotten a blister on the ball of my foot while out for a walk which caused me to walk funny which cause my calf muscles to become sore. I think that was predominantly why I gained, because of water retention in the muscles, because now that my muscles don't hurt anymore, I'm almost back to where I was last week.

I've walked on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes 5 of the last 7 days and hit 10k steps just as many days.

Just going to keep doing what I'm doing and hope it keeps working!

Very happy with this week’s loss as I wasn’t the best with eating or working out. Our busy season at work ends next week so that should help a lot.

@goal06082021 I hope your husband’s MRI goes well! And good luck on your “ultrawalkathon”!

@kenziestabes, @justanotherloser and @wanderinglight congrats on fitting in your old dresses!

And everyone else is doing great! We can all do this!💪

In my opinion you're doing AMAZING, @patriciafoley1 Moving was a big part of what completely derailed me last time, and I undid 67 pounds of my up-to-then 75 pounds of weight loss. So I am cheering you on!
thanks. Moving is so hard, I sympathize with you being derailed. I feel at times like I'm losing my mind over it. I so want it to be finished. but that will be at least another month.

I dropped 4 tenths of a pound today, from 170.8 to 170.4, so still moving in the right direction. I hope to be in the 160s by the end of the month. And that will be a weight I haven't been in decades. So still trying and still hopeful

Upped my Elliptical again this week to 140 minutes and today I did 151 minutes! Did the extra 1 minute because I wanted the 12 miles! Down 68.8 lbs! More than halfway of the 133 lbs to lose to get to my goal weight!
UGW-122 lbs, was at that years ago (2009- kept it off for 5 years) after being at 255 lbs before. So I feel I can do it again. Just can't get lazy afterwards like before.

10/24/21-182.6 lbs. Staying on track with Calorie, Net Carb, water and my Elliptical of 150 minutes 3x/week on my off work days. Seem to be continuing about 10 lbs/month loss. Down 72.4 lbs from 9/14/20, down 57.9 lbs since 5/3/21.

@sargemarcori For 8 weeks I noticed that even though I eat all the fiber I need in a day, and am eating at a deficit and working out - I was still stalling in the weight significantly. So I was thinking my colon just needed an assist, even though I really thought that moving and fiber should have done it. I used Milk of Magnesium, and I guess I was just stalled out for reasons I just don't get. I really thought fiber + exercise meant happy colon. But I know that changing diet can mess with you for a while until your body gets situated with the new food choices. It worked and now I am trucking along as if I had no issues. Maybe that will help. It is magnesium, so if you are on a magnesium limited diet do something else - but it works for the elderly!
