Tracey--New person is doing great. Fast learner so am happy about that. Only problem is I guess her and one other person used to work together some where else and did not get along. So they have been having some problems, but I plan to talk to the person today and let them know they have to get a long or else. Seems there is always something. Great news about your cousin\best friend.
Rori--Your class sounds like a good thing.
Rita--Sendig higs and prayers
Beth--I really like your trick and treat table. Our church did the trunk deal, but I worked until 6. We had about 20-25 kids plus several of the grand children. Dear husband wore a mask and had fun. Tomorrow we are both off and will clean up and put Halloween stuff away.
Barbie--Thanks for getting us started on the new month. You are an inspiration.
Machka--Looks like you have gotten alot planted and weeded. All I can say about the gas prices WOW!!
Saturday morning DH and I put the blue sapphire die in our hair. I just put it on a comb and combed it so not completely covered. About 80 percent. It will wash out in about 6-8 weeks. Grand children thinks it is great. Have to admit watching some people reaction is fun.
Glad it waited until after Halloween to snow and rain, which it has been doing since just after midnight. I work today and then off until Friday. Hoping to go to Lincoln and see my friend in the rehab and take a laptop we got her so she can play games. Her phone is to small since her stroke she needs a bigger screen.

They want me to send them both volumes of my memoirs, so it will depend on what they think of them. Actually I can drop them off tomorrow on my way to the lunch date with G.
I'm very nervous about what they will make of the books.
I managed to answer the questions for the Hovarian and found a couple of photos. So that's done.
Now cooking a smoked haddock and leek chowder thing. Asparagus on the side.
Love from a shaky Hovarian xxxxxxxx
You're about to be famous! Well done, Heather. So pleased that you're getting the attention you deserve for your writing.2 -
Barbie – Thank you again for starting us off for November. Your lovely woman on the scale could be me. I need to take better care of myself this month. Lightening up is important, both emotionally and physically. I need to do more of this -:
Lisa – I choose the same goals each month, too. They work very well when I follow through. :ohwell:
Michele – It is so nice when you know your adult children are responsible. Mine are, too.
Dr. Katie – My iphone is OLD. It still works and I don’t plan to replace it until it goes to iphone heaven. They would love to sell me a new one, but it won’t happen today. :noway:
M in OZ – Your cycling has given me a nudge to get busy riding my terratryke. It is on a trainer in the garage and I can ride there in any weather. I can hear the rain outside now as I sit at my desk. I injured my knee a while ago and I currently have two appointments with a physical therapist. I hope they will be helpful. Your landscaping is wonderful. :flowerforyou:
Pip – I love the photos and look forward to seeing them. Walking along the beach with Yogi looks wonderful.
Tracey – I hope you’ll be able to enjoy the northern lights. We have a cloud cover now that would prevent any view of the night sky. If you’re able to take a photo I would love to see it.
Allie – Having strangers in the house can be stressful. I hope all goes very well. :flowerforyou:
Barbara & Pip – We didn’t have a single trick or treater, either. I still have container of kind bars next to the front door. :ohwell:
Heather – Your photo of the sea and sky is lovely.
Rori – I am also having coffee this morning. Enjoy walking your kitty. We’ve had our CoVid boosters. I had an easy time with number three, but DH had a headache for a couple of days. I hope you have an easy time with the booster, like I did.
Rebecca – I love your photos! Your grandchildren a beyond cute. :flowerforyou:
Yoga starts at 10 am. I’m tired this morning and I’ll stay home. I have physical therapy on my knee tomorrow & I have no idea what physical therapy will be like. My doctor referred me there and I respect his guidance.

Just the one grandchild, but we hope with this move from apartment to house, they will make more!!!💖👍2 -
Been MIA for a bit, weight going up again. New start today, exercise this morning and healthy food. Bit sad as my son is moving house, means i can’t walk to his place anymore. Wont be able to use public transport either. Oh well as long as they’re happy that’s all that matters.
Thanks for new link Barbie

Lisa - I am beyond nervous as to how they will receive the books. They are aware of the subject matter. I'm totally prepared for an email to say, 'not for us this time'.
I never listen to the local radio, but I will now to get some ideas for my 'tone'. It's a slot called 'Lunchbreak'. ????
When you poke your head above the parapet .............
Love to you and hope you keep your fog away.

Barbie Thanks for getting us into a new month! I'm so glad that you started this adventure for us!
My goals for the month are;
Stay within my calorie goal range.
Eat a low-carb diet. Keto most days.
19:5 fasting.
Eating one meal a day plus snacks.
Swing my kettlebell daily.
Ride my e-bike as often as possible!
I thought that my life would become less hectic now that we are in Arizona. However, that is not the case! The condo that we bought we are going to be remodeling. We do try to keep it to a limited time period during the day. We do not work everyday on purpose! There are so many fun things to do in Sun City! We play bingo on Thursday nights. We went to an open-air concert last night. There are several recreational areas that we are members to because of our residency and a small fee. It's around $40 a month for both of us. We finally got our belongings put away mostly in temporary locations but all the boxes are unpacked except for knick knacks and pictures. We are close to several bike trails that go over a hundred miles in length. We took a bike ride yesterday and met other people with e-bikes. They had my nephews ebikes. Not sure if you knew that him and his friend along with being financed by my brother-in-law started up an e-bike company. Was and is the fastest growing ebike company in the country. If you see an ad for Lectric e-bike's you will probably see my brother-in-law and nephew in the ads. I forgot my wedding ring at home in Minnesota. Last week my husband surprised me and reproposed with a new set. I will also be celebrating my 64th birthday tomorrow! That will be a very high carb day.
I hope everyone is doing well. Hugs and prayers to those that need them.
Mary from Arizona /Minnesota

Rori, your day today sounds lovely, but emotional. I think it will still be very nice.
November is a big month for me. I am a little nervous, and not feeling well today. Working from home because I didn't trust myself to drive. I will work the rest of the week, Lord willing, and next Monday, and then at about 1:00, I will visit oncology for lab work and after getting those results, move on to the health clinic for my Covid test, and then I work from home, self-isolating, through Thursday. Big surgery November 12. I've never had such a long surgery -- it could potentially be 4 hours, but will be at least 3 hours.
Everyone take care.

Arms around you, Flea, with much love...1

Flea - sending all the hugs in the world your way. One minute at a time.
Rori - I love your way of honouring the dead. So important to hold them in our hearts.
I am already thinking of a future writing project where I celebrate past people I loved by the music I associate them with. So many of them are dead now.

Mary ~ Happy 64th Birthday! A new weeding set was a wonderful surprise.
Heather ~ Hoping your book will be huge success. I must admit I ordered your first one on Kindle but was afraid to read it because I did not want to read about the sad times you went through as you have become such a friend to us on this site.
Flea ~ Prayers for courage and strength as you go through the upcoming events. You have shown braveness and fortitude during your diagnosis and chemo treatments.
Vicki ~ Glad to hear that you have acquired an employee who will make your life easier and hope she and the other employee will put aside their differences and make the work place pleasant.
Had my second cataract surgery today! It was a little tougher than the first as they did now administer the Twilight meds early enough and I was very aware of what they were doing. Anyway, the eye is feeling better after some hours later.
Hubby stopped at McDonald's and I had my first Qtr Pounder with Cheese in about 4 yrs along with their fries. It was delicious. But, I have put on a few extra pounds this past month and will have to reign in my eating more carefully.

Mary - congratulations and happy birthday!!
Carol - glad you have the second eye done now. Speedy healing to you.
Rori - sounds like a lovely celebration.
Heather - congrats on the publicity. That would make me very nervous but I am sure you will come through with flying colors.
Barbie - thanks for getting us started anew.
I am getting ready to go to IA on Thursday. We are having my mom's graveside service with military honors on Saturday. Our critter sitter came over this morning and we went over the routines for feeding and caring for all of the animals. She has done this for us in the past but a few things have changed. We have to soak the food for our old mare now as she has lost teeth and has difficulty chewing. I am hoping for a much smoother plane ride this time.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA9 -

Hi
My name is Natalie and I am currently living in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I’ve been on MFP for the past 10 years but I’ve drifted away over the past four. Life, work, injuries. Getting things back on track and have been doing ok over the past two weeks so looking forward to November.
My goals for November are:
To get my running back - 100km over the month
To do 20 minutes minimum of weights 5 days a week
To close my food diary every day
Looking forward to getting to know you.

We are going to start looking in Midlothian.
Mind you Ros and I made the decision to move to Virginia. Mitch is coming along! LOL We will be looking for a house for all of us. A mother-in-law suite for Ros or split level with lower level set up for Ros (bedroom, living space, full bath). Not sure this is a possibility but we will look and decide.
I have loved Virginia ever since my older brother and his wife set up home there when I was a senior in high school. I then attended UVA and met Mitch there and continued to love it there. Visiting Ros the 2 years she lived there just further set my desire in motion to end up there at some point in time. My niece and her family live in Powhatan and my other niece lives in northern Virginia with my brother in Suffolk!
I'll be seeing ya soon enough Karen!!
