Wondering how difficult it is to install a new home thermostat. Instructions say a certified electrician is required... but I'm betting that's just for liability reasons.

I did it and *knock on wood* had no issues. It's pretty straightforward, unless yours is super old and you don't have the right wiring. Wouldn't hurt to take the cover off and see what you're working with.

NaNoWriMo always reads to me like a “wah, no write no mo” tantrum, which, coincidentally, is me after 2 paragraphs

I wonder how many people have said this right before getting zapped

I've been zapped... It's not that big of a deal. But I'd like to avoid burning the house down...

Don't people, like uh, shut off their power before attempting life risking home repairs?

Welllll---I'd suggest you look into that and start labeling correctly before someone does get hurt (or worse ).

I have been... still have a ways to go though. Who ever DIY'd some of the stuff on this house prior to my owning it was, um, less than professional with their work.

Abs?.... do I really want abs ? ...

OH I HEAR YOU ON THIS.
I live in central Canada. We get, at best, 3 months of potential ab-revealing weather. The rest of the time it's hoodies or parkas.

I am also single (and not planning on changing that), so the ONLY people / beings that would see abs are a) my kids b) my cats and c) my MFP friends list and the occasional forum poster. lol

Some days it's hard to justify all the work it takes to stay lean enough for them to show, for such little reward.

I'm on day 3 of logging my food again and trying to drink more water. it's already getting old. lol

Why haven't I lost all the weight it took me months of overeating to gain?

Patience is NOT my virtue. haha

That's about as long as I can go, too. I need a reason to care enough to try... and I don't have that ATM.
