@kayHBE - hopefully i will give you a laugh. I tend to read from the bottom up (yes, no efficient and rather weird). Well, I see your daily numbers and my first interpretation was daily calories and fat grams, instead of your daily steps and exercise minutes. Congrats on your efforts!

@SModa61 ... Ya looks like I forgot to put that info at the top. I think I did once lol . Thank you for your encouragement and I enjoyed all the comments you sent everyone. Sometimes I just don't have the words but do cheer on everyone!!

I can do dry salad but I added lots of kale to this one, kale really needs dressing!!

@KayHBE IMHO, there is not enough salad dressing in the WORLD for kale! LOL

@quiltingjaine I don't find it too bad but the prices of fresh vegetables (actually everything) is so high and kale is still reasonably priced so I added it.

Last year, I had chick-fil-a's crunchy kale salad. It is delicious. Anyhow, that made me start googling Kale and salads. What I read is that to make kale more tender in a salad you are supposed to massage the kale with the dressing. Have I done this yet? No. But I did read that. On the other hand, I did use Kale in Colcanon (spelling?) for St. Patricks day. I loved it.

@SModa61 thank you!! There’s a place in Boston that does dexa scans (dxametrics) and it’s like $100 (if I remember from previous posts, you’re in the Boston “area” most of the year right?). It’s right in the back bay, so it would be fun to do and then spend the day wandering around shopping and what not. I did mine in the winter so it was a little less fun lol. Now the gym I go to has a pretty darn accurate scale/machine thing I use every couple of weeks to track my progress.

I am impressed with your memory! Yes, Mass is our "primary" home. In my past searches, I did come across the dxametrics. Looks really interesting. The challenge is I refuse to drive into Boston. So its either public transport, which should work, or hook my husband into a ride (or rather drive) along. So you did a Dexa there? Did you try any of their other services?

Time to shed a lot of weight.
    Starting weight: 224.8 pounds.
    Goal weight: 180 pounds.

Biggest hurdle: STOP eating so much damn food. Even when I'm not hungry I just eat and eat and eat.

WTH!? Super depressing, but whatever. I'm fat. The veggie chips are bridge to get me off of cookies. Today was the first day in God knows how long I didn't eat about 4K calories in cookies.
Exercise: Exercise bike for 7 miles. 342 calories burned.
Food: B: 5 egg whites, 1 whole egg. L: protein shake, 2 pitted prunes. Din: 3oz chicken, 2 cups mixed veg. S: yogurt, 2cups of veggie chips

    3/22
    Weight: 223.9lbs
Yahoo! A whole pound in one day! Back to reality. It's most likely water weight, so not worth getting overly excited about. I'll be eating the same diet for the first week. I'm shooting for a 1K calorie deficit each day.
Exercise: Exercise bike for 7 miles. 280 calories burned. Walked 2 miles.

A tad concerned at the minimal amount you are eating, not sure if you are doing it for a short term quick boost to start your weight loss, but I feel the restricted diet is not sustainable for anyone. Hope you don't mind me commenting, just concerned for you.

I have about 28 kg to lose. I use measurements (centimeters) because they aren't affected by salt intake. My weight has been at this value for about 3 months, let's see if I can finally start losing fat.

    18th eating under maintenance, running/walking minutes 1r-1w-1r-1w-1r
    107.0 104.0 108.0 64.0 52.0 60.5 49.0 108.5 106.0 107.5
19th eating under maintenance, no exercise
    108.5 104.5 107.0 60.5 49.0 61.5 49.0 107.0 104.0 107.5
20th eating under maintenance, no exercise, no sugar
    104.5 103.0 108.5 63.5 49.5 60.0 48.5 108.5 106.0 108.0
21st eating under maintenance, no exercise
    106.5 104.5 108.0 63.5 51.0 60.5 46.5 109.0 107.0 107.5

bolded numbers are having lost 0.5 cm since 8th March

I'm actually not hungry. I'm just eating to make sure I have something during the day. Even when I have cravings for junk food, I'm not hungry. I just want something sweet to taste. Feels like trying to kick a drug habit.
