@kayHBE - hopefully i will give you a laugh. I tend to read from the bottom up (yes, no efficient and rather weird). Well, I see your daily numbers and my first interpretation was daily calories and fat grams, instead of your daily steps and exercise minutes. Congrats on your efforts!
@SModa61 ... Ya looks like I forgot to put that info at the top. I think I did once lol . Thank you for your encouragement and I enjoyed all the comments you sent everyone. Sometimes I just don't have the words but do cheer on everyone!!4 -

3-21= 151.8 (t= 149.8) probably should have held off weighing for a few days to get a weeks worth of not enough walking, not enough water, a little too much food daily, a 7 hr car ride, not much TMI, etc out of my system. I know I did not eat 10,000 calories over maintenance to gain 3# of fat, so will just wait until it all clears out to see where I am really at. Also last round I was trying to eliminate dairy to see how it affects me and I didn't follow this when I was gone, so starting that again.

3/18- 190 (-1.4) I’m not sure I can trust this, but I’m thrilled!! Down 74.1 pounds since May. Almost at 75!! I’m swimming today. Thirty pounds to go to hit my goal weight and then I’ll figure out if that’s a good place for me.
3/19- 190 (-1.4) It was good to get in the pool yesterday. I have dinner tonight with a friend I haven’t seen for a very long time, so I’ll have that as my indulgence meal this week, so I’ll be bumping up tomorrow. I can’t believe I’m almost in the 180’s. This week, perhaps?
3/20- 191.4 (0) Enjoyed spending time with my friend yesterday. The bump is expected and I’m looking forward to a new low later this week. It’s spring here in Colorado and I’ll soon be back hiking with my sister once the snow melts. I can’t wait.
3/21- 191.4 (0) A quiet day today just doing art business related work. These are the days where it’s a little tough for me to stay on track. So I’ll do my best to stay focused and to drink all my water.
3/22- 190.6 (-.8) On my way back down. I swam my hour in the pool today, so hoping for a new low tomorrow.10 -

@quiltingjaine I don't find it too bad but the prices of fresh vegetables (actually everything) is so high and kale is still reasonably priced so I added it.
Last year, I had chick-fil-a's crunchy kale salad. It is delicious. Anyhow, that made me start googling Kale and salads. What I read is that to make kale more tender in a salad you are supposed to massage the kale with the dressing. Have I done this yet? No. But I did read that. On the other hand, I did use Kale in Colcanon (spelling?) for St. Patricks day. I loved it.

Day/Weight/Comment
3/18 / 171.6 / Poor sleep due to sickness. Have to get through a workday yet but otherwise just resting up the body. Hope everyone enjoys the weekend ahead!
3/19 / 170.6 / Lots of Netflix and reading here while I try to recover. The sun is out and the weather is beautiful so I'm bummed to be missing a great weekend. This too shall pass. Trying to get my body the time it needs to heal so I can hopefully get over this sooner rather than later.
3/20 / 167.4 / Still sick but that doesn't take away the shine that I reached my ultimate goal weight today that I set in early 2021. This weight represents the first time I've been in my normal BMI range in adulthood. I am so happy.
3/21 / 167.4 / Got through as much of my work day as I could and now it's back to bed for rest.
3/22 / 167.8 / Tested the waters with a very short (less than 1KM) walk. I feel like it'll be a while before I'm back to my regular activities. My husband is sick now too so it will remain a very slow week here.

@SModa61 thank you!! There’s a place in Boston that does dexa scans (dxametrics) and it’s like $100 (if I remember from previous posts, you’re in the Boston “area” most of the year right?). It’s right in the back bay, so it would be fun to do and then spend the day wandering around shopping and what not. I did mine in the winter so it was a little less fun lol. Now the gym I go to has a pretty darn accurate scale/machine thing I use every couple of weeks to track my progress.4

I am impressed with your memory! Yes, Mass is our "primary" home. In my past searches, I did come across the dxametrics. Looks really interesting. The challenge is I refuse to drive into Boston. So its either public transport, which should work, or hook my husband into a ride (or rather drive) along. So you did a Dexa there? Did you try any of their other services?3 -
SW: 367.0 (6000 step goal, goal to lose 2 to 3 lbs. each challenge, go to bed by 11:30, no eating out more than once every 10-day challenge)
Day/Weight/Comment (previous day steps)
3/18 365.4 – 5234 steps.
3/19 362.8 – 6849 steps. So far it is very unusual for me to have a loss 2 days in a row, but I will certainly take it
3/20 363.6 – 4077 steps. I had a very tasty splurge yesterday. It was worth the calories. I am back on it today.
3/21 361.2 – 4344 steps. My mini tax vacation went way too fast!
3/22 360.0 – 6778 steps. I have been doing much better since I went back to using MFP suggested calories and not eating back more than 20% or none of my movement / exercise calories.

In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs.
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.12 -

Time to shed a lot of weight.

Yahoo! A whole pound in one day! Back to reality. It's most likely water weight, so not worth getting overly excited about. I'll be eating the same diet for the first week. I'm shooting for a 1K calorie deficit each day.

Round 181 ( my 113th for me). Thanks @QuiltingJaine.
Need to knuckle down now and make each round count, DS's wedding is later this spring & I want to feel happy with myself on the day. Aim this round to be lower than the start, but a pound would be nice, concentrate on good food choices & think before I put anything in my mouth!! Also eat only half daily exercise calories back.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back under 130. A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.SW: 138.8

Day/Weight/Comment
3/18 138.8 – 4.69 miles walked yesterday, childminding DGS, did eat more than I should, 2 days showing up on the scales. Getting back in the groove today. Liked the brief taste of success last round!!
3/19 138.8 – 9.95 miles, food could have been a lot better choices, need to keep at it !
3/20 139.2 – 13.76 miles walked, most of exercise calories eaten back, but good choices.
3/21 139.2 – 12.86 miles, a glorious spring day, heard & saw our first lark of spring yesterday, such a beautiful song! Ate back half of exercise calories.
3/22 138.4 – 11.41 miles walked, good choices, less than 10% exercise calories eaten.
3/23 137.6 – 8.36 miles walked, most of exercise calories eaten back due to lunch out with DS (3), main course very healthy, salad, egg, ham and small portion of new potatoes, but followed by small piece of homemade lemon drizzle cake mmm mmm mmm !!
Today we meet up with our family to celebrate oldest DGS 4th birthday, the last 2 he "celebrated" in Covid lockdown, so it will be super to get together; meeting at a waterpark, all the little ones are excited (& some of the older ones!!) .

WTH!? Super depressing, but whatever. I'm fat. The veggie chips are bridge to get me off of cookies. Today was the first day in God knows how long I didn't eat about 4K calories in cookies.
Exercise: Exercise bike for 7 miles. 342 calories burned.
Food: B: 5 egg whites, 1 whole egg. L: protein shake, 2 pitted prunes. Din: 3oz chicken, 2 cups mixed veg. S: yogurt, 2cups of veggie chips

Yahoo! A whole pound in one day! Back to reality. It's most likely water weight, so not worth getting overly excited about. I'll be eating the same diet for the first week. I'm shooting for a 1K calorie deficit each day.

A tad concerned at the minimal amount you are eating, not sure if you are doing it for a short term quick boost to start your weight loss, but I feel the restricted diet is not sustainable for anyone. Hope you don't mind me commenting, just concerned for you.4 -
I have about 28 kg to lose. I use measurements (centimeters) because they aren't affected by salt intake. My weight has been at this value for about 3 months, let's see if I can finally start losing fat.

I'm actually not hungry. I'm just eating to make sure I have something during the day. Even when I have cravings for junk food, I'm not hungry. I just want something sweet to taste. Feels like trying to kick a drug habit.3 -

3/18 - 145.5 - I had two Dr. appointments yesterday, so my husband and I ate lunch out in between. Then we celebrated some good biopsy reports for my husband along with St. Patrick's Day with some drinks. My weight might go up some more tomorrow, but that is OK. We enjoyed ourselves yesterday.
3/19 - 144.5 - I'm a little surprised. The scale may have been off this morning but I was in a hurry to get to work and didn't mess around with it. My work lunch will be catered today, so I will make good choices and hope the weight stays for tomorrow.

I didn’t check in yesterday. Almost skipped it today. I am in the throws of a very bad cold that has moved into my eyes. Gross. Dr. thinks it is a bacterial infection, so I am on an antibiotic. Sleep has been terrible.
Have not lost my appetite, Ha!
Enjoying March Madness. A couple of my favorite teams got through round one. Iowa State and Illinois.
