Went to doc today for UTI, different NP than my usual so she reviewed my chart then ordered an EKG and another that tests for blood flow and stress. Well EKG was good but stress one was bad. My physical stress levels are ok, but mental and emotional not good. I was referred to a doc that tests for current medication effectiveness and therapeutic massage. I then get home hand find I have 2 calls, one to schedule my sinus surgery and the other from the state tax office. 🙄🙄 and they wonder why my stress levels are so high!

Sorry that you're under such stress.
Is your sinus surgery similar to a surgery to repair a deviated septum? I did that 2 years ago. It was an experience!!
What was the stress test? A multiple choice type of thing?
Machka in Oz
The sinus thing is called”coblation”. It’s done with a laser to shrink the swollen too large parts inside my nose. They will also decide whether to trim the bone spur or not at that time. Very different from what you had Machka. My appointment for this is July 9.
The stress test was a thing similar to the thing used to check your heart rate on my finger. They leave it there for. 3 minutes. It is called “automatic balance and stress test”. Measures ANS Activity ( control of respiration, cardiac regulation, Vado motor activity, and reflex actions such as coughing, sneezing, swallowing and vomiting). Test came back as bad for me.
Also checks fatigue index (not good), electro-cardiac stability ( normal), physical stress (very high), mental stress (low), stress resilience (low). (Link to article: viral scan.com). Or look up Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) testing.
Cool test, tells the doc a lot about your health. The comments on the report give me things to do to improve my health including vitamins, exercises, etc. very informative.

Meg - Hi! Nice to see you.
DH home. Good feeling.
One more day of cricket.
Hope all the furry family are in the best place possible.
I decided a long time ago I could not cope with the losses and grief pet ownership requires. My teenage losses still haunt me.
Love them so much. My thoughts and admiration are with you.

Katla - Hope the waters don't reach your house - apparently Yellowstone National Park is closed due to flooding as well. Above average snowfall over the winter and 400% higher rainfall than average this spring are combining for record-breaking floods across the area.
We are looking at a heat wave here and no rain in the forecast for the next three weeks, but then, that's summertime in Arkansas. Spring's all rain and summer's all sun. We did want to move to a place with four distinct seasons, and we found that, so I'm not going to get cranky about it. The friends we left behind in West Texas are surviving temperatures in the 100s on a daily and weekly basis. And we had rain nearly every day last week, and they have seen only a spattering of rain in the last three months... and none in the forecast.
Worked in the yard from 8:30 to about 2:30, with just a couple breaks for water and rest... Took me an hour to cool down enough to get in the shower. If I don't wait until I get cooled down, I'm still sweating when I get out of the shower, and I hate that... Sweated enough to lose a couple pounds of water weight, and am busily drinking liquids now to get rehydrated.
I am in the house for the duration now, though. Haven't seen Egg since 8:30 this morning, so she's either outside and found some shade, or more likely under a bed somewhere in the house staying cool.
Hugs or huzzahs to all who need them...
Love y'all,
Lisa in AR

Feeling a bit better this evening. I’ve been resting up as per instructions from NP yesterday. She gave me much more info than the doctor did when he did my original procedure.
(((Hugs))) or cheers to those who need them.
Don’t let the #kittens# get you down.

Hello Ladies.
I cooked/baked all day Saturday and the kitchen was HOT! I think I must have sweat off a few pounds...too bad it's already back on. I made spiced nuts, tiramisu mini cupcakes, mini quiches, no bake cookies, and chocolate dipped shortbread cookies for my friend's birthday party. I enjoyed making it. I don't cook/bake for people too often anymore. I have cookies and cupcakes galore taking over my freezer. There was so much food, she asked me to take some of it back home so she didn't eat it all. I sent some cupcakes to work with the Mister. The rest will be great snacks for the boys when they go back out on the boat again.
We went to a comedy show last night. I have not been to one in a very long time. I need to find more of those. It's so great to laugh.
Has anyone done a wine and food tour through the Rhone or Loire Valleys in France? If so, did you use a tour operator that you'd recommend?
Have a great week!

Worked today and got to the gym!!!! Then went to the Salvation Army and found the kind of crock pot that I want for the condo (one with a removable crock). Then went to WalMart because we got a letter yesterday saying that one of Loki’s medications had been recalled. Seems that this batch wasn’t recalled, but we had no way of knowing. Then came home to a nice surprise. The guy to put in the bushes came! It’s only been a year since I first approached him about this, a year since we haven’t had the landscape lights.
When I got home from work around 12, the landscaper’s trucks, etc were here. He has the plants where they should go. But he’s not here. I thought at first he left for lunch. But here it is, almost 3 and they aren’t back. Wondering….. Update: I suspect he's just going to leave them here overnight
Tracey – according to my father, Vince had 3 big strikes against him. He wasn’t Catholic, he had long hair, and...sin all sins...he wasn’t Polish. But here we are...44 years later
The paper said it was supposed to be sunny and 94 today. When I came out of BK it was rainy and 68. Go figure….
Ceramics tonight
Allie – love the name “chunka lunka”
Lisa – you must be so very proud of your daughter. Let’s hope there isn’t drama when her husband gets served.
Oh, got a nametag at work today. Really not a big deal. The more I think about it, I should have gotten two, one for each shirt. Oh well….
Pip – wonderful your appt!
Michele NC4 -
Pip hope there is some relief for your shoulder at this appointment.
I did my dumbbells. Yay!

Dear ones, thank you all so very much for your concern and search party. Like Kylia, I’m proud and grateful to call you my friends. Between the knee, the Covid and just feeling sad for no reason, I haven’t been good company. Silver linings, 10 days in bed improved the knee, pt guy was pleased with progress.
Sue, Junuary describes our summer thus far perfectly. Think that contributed to my blues. Sun came out yesterday, met T for coffee, returned to indoor line dancing for the first time since March 2020. Danced for 45 mins then went to pt. Today tramped around the woods with Joe for awhile then pruned rhodies and lopped off a tan oak sapling, so feel a corner’s been turned.
Barbie (((hugs))) Wish I could be there to hug you and give you a shoulder to sob on. When we lived in Boise a pair of vets offered a service called Gentle Goodbyes. They came to the house and were wonderful. Unfortunately here in rural Southern Oregon, with our shortage of all healthcare professionals, when it was Scooter’s time, we had to wait days and days for a house call. Thankfully he didn’t seem to be in pain, just unable to get around.
Carol your leaking trailer reminded me of my second post-college job. We were in trailers too, but they weren’t properly “married” so the joints let in floods of water. We tried to protect the filing cabinets by putting trash cans on top to catch the water but then they were too heavy to dump. Catastrophe.
Katla praying the river don’t rise any more and your DH’s new meds give him some relief.
Lanette, your comment about not having to clean up after the best husbands in the neighborhood made me snort my tea. Brava for your sense of humor!
Lisa your return to your active lifestyle made me smile. Bravissima for your dd’s leadership gifts. Likewise hoping her husband takes the divorce papers as well as can be. I’d be afraid to leave the children with him but guess there are no options until custody is settled.
Machka, Joe takes alpha lipoic acid for nerve pain. It helps my tingling feet too.
Kay so very sorry to hear about Georgie’s “escape.” ((hugs)) Like you needed another layer of stress and sadness. ;cry:
Belated happy anniversary Tracey. 35 years, well done! We’ll be 35 years married in October, 38 years together Labor day. Cute headpiece and beautiful gown! Glad Rodger invited you out to dinner soon.
Michele did the landscaper plant the plants or just set them out? A year ?!? ugh.
Heather bet Johnny was happy to be at cricket when you had your smoky beans and cauliflower funny lunch!
Flea the pic of your kitty working on a difficult puzzle.
Tina, my first symptom of knee troubles was clicking. Pt suggests isolating the knee and strengthening it by sitting in a chair, strapping on ankle weights, keep one foot on the floor while lifting/straightening the other leg 10 times or to fatigue, then do the other side. Good luck!
Allie Bravissima for cancelling the bed order. Hope you can find something suitable nearby and in stock.
Debbie could your MIL finally learn to appreciate your DH, even a little? Hoping for a silver lining.
Beth so glad to hear Cecil’s recovering and the neighbors paid. Have they fenced in their yard?
Happy birthday, Rebecca! You and Joe share June 15th.
Rori I’m so very glad you were able to know Covid out so quickly. My symptoms lasted 10 days and still sudden fatigue strikes.
Annie if your vacuum cleaner has a bag, drop some mothballs into it. Helps kills whatever fleas it picks up.
Newlark01 linking your stair walking with kettle and microwave is a great strategy.
Meg so good to see your smiling face. Welcome back!
Rita fingers X’d the sinus procedure gives you relief.
Carla Go Vixens! All the way!!!
Gillian well done on the food scale. Its an eye opener when the portion size says two Tbs/30g and you weigh the contents of just one Tbs and its 28 g. SMH.
Terri that sounds so painful. Gentle ((hugs))
Pip glad you’ve got a shoulder appointment, sorry it’s not ‘til the 28th.
Julie, Kim, Ginny, Evelyn, Vickie, Margaret, Okie, and anyone else I overlooked, please forgive.
Joe went in yesterday morning for fasting bloodwork. The lab gal came out and said it'll be awhile, our computer's down. Some time later she came out and said it will be even more, our refrigerator's broken. Joe left. He called the Dr office to have the order put in at the other diagnostic place in town. They called back and told him they don't do blood tests. Really? An ER with attached MRI has no facility for bloodwork? So he has to go back to the first place. I suggested he wait 'til tomorrow as everyone who couldn't be served Monday would be waiting in line Tuesday morning and wonder of wonders, he agreed. If the first place is still a no-go, will search Crescent City for a lab. Kinda crappy way for him to start his birthday . . .

Wineries hold no interest for us ... we were much more interested in the little villages and jaw dropping scenery. We ended up basing ourselves in one location and from there we explored up and down the Rhone as well as going to Chamonix and Mont Blanc and to Zermatt.
It did seem, however, that there were a lot of little vineyards often in the most implausible locations!
My husband was interested in the other fruit orchards.

We no longer think it is just nerve pain, although the MRI I had on Friday should go some way to confirming that.
