Hi! I’m planning to keep the momentum going. 🏃‍♀️ I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made so far. My goal is to be 126 by January. Hoping to see 141 this month. I’m going to focus on my water intake this time.

    Heaviest weight: 165
    Current weight: 142

    Daily Focus:
    🌼 Log weight
    🌱 Portion control food
🌼 Drink 8 glasses of water
🌱 Work out at least 4x a week
    🌼 Increase protein intake

    July 1 - 145 (cooked)
    July 2 - 144 (cooked/ strength 30m)
    July 3 - 144 (cooked/ ran 1hr)
    July 4 - 144 (cooked)
    July 5 - 145 (cooked/ strength 30m)
    July 6 - 144 (cooked)
    July 7 - 143 (cooked/ strength 30m)
    July 8 - 144 (cooked)
    July 9 - 143 (cooked/ Zumba 1hr)
    July 10 - 142 (bought/ ran 1hr)
    July 11 - 142 (cooked/ strength 30m)
    July 12 - 142 (bought/ Zumba 1hr)
    July 13 - 142 (cooked)

I learned a little quirky thing when weighing myself. Sometimes I’m just a touch heavier in the morning, but after a workout or even just a shower, I’m lighter by a hair. o.0 I’ve noticed it for a couple days. I’ve been meeting my water intake, so I wonder if it’s my water weight shifting or something. 🤔

My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 62 years old and from the Midwest USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!
    250’s; 240’s; 230’s; 220's; 210's; 200's; 190's; 180’s; 170's; 160's; 150’s

    Starting Weight : 202.8
    Goal: 197.8 (Five lb Loss)
    Actual Ending Weight: xxxxx

    07/11.…..195.6…..(Trend Weight 201.8)…..

07/12.…..196.6…..(Trend Weight 201.3 )….. No reason for the gain whatsoever except possibly sodium. Yesterday I decided to trade out my fiber count for sodium count on my MFP diary and boy was it an eye opener! I didn’t realize how much sodium is in things. Mine was way over and the main culprit was cottage cheese? Yikes….So there may be some retention today showing up. I may try an at-home test this evening to see if I still test positive for Covid. I have been sick for 5 full days including day 0 (Thursday). Still getting some phlegm but a lot less coughing. Overall, feeling a bit better, just a bit weak and dizzy at times still. Hard to tell the difference between the actual Covid right now, and the body that is fighting to get back to normal. Looking forward to seeing everyone again and doing things. I’ve just got to stay on target and not let the social stuff sway me. Don’t buckle Donna! It’s always YOU who decides what you poke into your piehole!

07/13.…..197.0…..(Trend Weight 200.8)….. Another reading in the wrong direction. I have no idea why except all of this must be related to Covid. Maybe I’m on the mend soon? Yesterday I tried a little fasting but was careful to eat when I felt the glucose slightly dropping. I ended up under 1100 calories. Still not much exercise but meals were small and carefully chosen. Lack of exercise doesn’t let me burn off what I’ve eaten so maybe that is the answer? Anyway, I’m going forward with a positive attitude. I think I am firmly in Onederland with or without the virus. I’ve just got to trust the process. It has been a long time since I have been able to go this many days in a row following my diet without interruption of travel (or anything else). I’ll admit that a time or two I wanted to comfort myself after the covid diagnosis with food because “I deserve it”. But then, I quickly realized that what I really deserve is to be healthy and happy and not trapped in a sick, old, weak, tired body. I’ve been working hard on this and being sick has given me the time to focus on myself. Dieting is never easy but I’ve kept my resolve strong, worked through the cravings and planned for the hunger.

@deepwoodslady Im so glad to hear you are starting to feel a little better. I look forward to your posts everyday because they are so colorful and you seem like such a good human who is fighting the good fight up there in Northern Michigan! I am also living vicariously through you in Onederland! I hope to be there by Christmas, but we'll see, I have 25 pounds to go. Thank you for pointing out the sodium in cottage cheese. I eat it everyday and although I am not above my sodium goal and I eat the reduced fat kind I am going to back off for a few days and see what happens. I love to eat it with fresh chives! Hang in there!

    Heaviest weight: 293 (1/28/21)
    Current weight (Jul 1): 163.4

    Daily Focus:
🌼 stay in maintenance range (160-165)

July 1 - 163.4 (Happy Canada Day! Work gave us a four day weekend. My husband and I came up to the lake last night. Sun is shining!)
July 2 - 162 (We got a 60 minute walk in yesterday in the heat and had a few drinks to celebrate Canada Day. Night was cut short as we had a huge thunderstorm and the Internet was so bad inside because everyone was in their trailers so we went to bed early and had a great restorative sleep.)
July 3 - 165.2 (Up early and back home as we have a 75th birthday brunch to attend. Later today we also have dinner out with friends.)
July 4 - 164 (Happy 4th of July to all the Americans! Our work gave us a four day weekend for Canada Day so I was still off today. I did two Peloton rides and a 5 mile walk and food stop with my husband and dog... so much fun but I am wiped. Need to do some housework now.)
July 5 - 164 (Busy work day but I got away at lunch for a walk with my husband. After supper and some TV we went out for another walk with our dog. Lots of steps again today.)
July 6 - 164.6 (Didn't sleep as long as I wanted. Started with a good filling breakfast. Will get my 10K steps today and hopefully ride the Peloton too.)
July 7 - 164.4 (Had my long ride on the Peloton last night. Today I hope to get back on the bike but I also need to finish getting my house ready for my company tomorrow.)
July 8 - 163.4 (Started my day with the Stampede Parade and a breakfast. The sun is shining and our city has come alive. I worked this afternoon and tonight we are laying low because my husband is in a 160 KM Gran Fondo bike race tomorrow that we're up early for.)
July 9 - 163 (Up early as my husband is in a Gran Fondo bike race today. I am hanging out in beautiful Longview, Alberta waiting for him. Will try to walk and get some steps while I wait.)
July 10 - 161.2 (Today I want to do two Peloton rides, get a walk in, and then we go out for supper in downtown Calgary with friends.)
July 11 - 160.8 (Amazing dinner out last night at the top rated new restaurant in Canada according to a recently issued list. I had gotten a lot of of exercise and planned for it so the scale was kind to me this morning. This afternoon I have a party at a corporate tent for Stampede and then we go to the grounds for a concert. Will be a late night and my exercise will all be getting my steps.)
July 12 - 161.8 (Busy day to navigate yesterday. Worked from the office, went to a tent party for Stampede at 3, and then we went to the grounds for a concert. Didn't get home and in bed until midnight. Had one food choice I made for a cost savings reason than my waistline - you live you learn.)
July 13 - 161.2 (Kept indulgences to a minimum at my work party yesterday so I was in good shape to come home and ride the Peloton.)
July 14 - 160.8 (A work lunch, corporate tent, Peloton ride, and long walk with my husband were all highlights of the day.)

07/14-197.4-(Trend Weight 200.5)- Scale (only 1 yr old) with new batteries (2 weeks ago but admittedly cheap ones) decided to go bonkers today. I must have weighed 18 times. If I lean forward enough I could weigh 195.X . If I move the scale to a whole different room, I could weigh 200.4 . Most of the weights were in the 197’s. That feels most right to me because I ate right up to my 1400 calories yesterday but my final food was at 2:00 am when I was starving and feeling weak. Luckily I had calories to spare. In case I decide on a new scale sometime soon, does anyone have a good recommendation?

07/15-198.2-(Trend Weight 200.3)- Okay, what’s going on??? Scale did not seem wonky today. Is it the healing from Covid? Still testing with one solid line and one very faint line. Feeling so much better! I have been CONSISTENLY a perfect dieter (lately). Hitting macros perfectly. Staying under on calorie and carbs. Glucose has really improved over this past week of following the eating plan. I’ve even increased the exercise after feeling better (and not having handymen here all day). Last night I danced to 5 songs (23 minutes) last night! The only other thing I can think of is that I’ve been trying to do some fasting overnight/morning and it’s pushing my meals out much later than usual. Dinner has been really late the last few nights. I’ll try to readjust it all and see what happens. I am still a bit worried about my scale, it was crazy yesterday and I don’t think I got the same reading twice. However, today, it seemed back to normal. I will keep watching that too. Handymen will be back today, but I’ll still try to fit in some movement. Of course, I will wear my continue wearing my mask during any direct contact for a few more days. My trend weight is still going down, I’ll take it!
