Oh no! I am in a shopping mood! I already bought ankle weights and two tee shirts from my old schools. But there's always more available on Amazon!

I am not sure how to react or feel. My DH admitted (while drunk) that his dementia is getting worse. He is starting to
‘See and hear’ things. And he has mentioned selling some of his guns so we can get new tires for the RV to start moving around. I usually don’t take what he says in that condition too seriously, but he has never admitted that stuff to me before, though I know it to be true. I’ve got a lot of thinking to do on this.
RVRita
Rita ... yours is a difficult situation for so many reasons, but I'm especially concerned about "seeing and hearing things" and owning guns. (For the record, my husband owns guns and we've talked about this.) We had a family member with dementia ... nicest man on the planet ... who, in a confused moment, threatened his wife with one of his guns. It was at that time that the family moved him into a special facility. If nothing else, let your husband start selling off his guns. Hugs.

Kylia - Especially for you. This is the tandoori chicken with raita. I served basmati rice with tomato, and my husband always likes something green, so it's broccoli!!!!
It was fantastic. I well remember the first time I ate tandoori at a restaurant in 1967.

Annie! - Stop! Close the Amazon page... slowllly back away, and go do something to distract yourself. Retail therapy can get really expensive... I restrict myself by putting the things I want in the cart. If I still want them two days later, I can order them, but by then I usually don't want them anymore, and can't remember why I thought I did. I shop like that offline as well. Invariably, I end up handing the cashier something I decided not to buy.
Rita - What Beth said... My biggest fear was that my daughter's soon-to-be-ex-husband was coming to get his stuff (including guns) when they broke up. He doesn't have dementia, but he is a bully and he was incredibly angry. Adding guns to that already explosive equation made me extremely nervous. By letting your husband sell his guns for whatever reason, it just removes some possible scenarios that no one wants to see.
Heather - I love the fact that Johnny is learning new things about himself, and that you are as well. I love his drawings, your pots, your art, all of it. Keep it coming!
Lanette - Love watching the chicks growing! Learning from you, deciding whether I want to do the same.
I just realized, Machka, that if we're moving into spring, you're moving into fall and then the cold dark months. I hope there's plenty of sun for you this winter. It does not seem possible that Rowan's accident was five years ago. Such a hard road you've trod. I'm always happy to see your pictures and your photographs. Your strength amazes me.
Got the clematis in the ground, and it's a perennial. I don't plant any annuals anymore. I love the winter change in the perennials, that they die back and come back to life again. Don't know why that makes me so happy.
Beautiful sunny day here - and a nice dry week to come before the rains come again. The warm, dry days are going to push everything to start growing like crazy. One of my favorite times of year.
Love y'all,

Continued prayers for Destiny 💕
Intentions for March:🔹Maintain weight < 140 (I have managed to stay at the lower end off the 140s)
🔹Continue with Solid Habit development
Intentions for today:
📍Solid habits✔️
📍general chores✔️
📍family Skype after lunch✔️
📍work on art display—>
📍avoid mindless scrolling✔️ Definitely didn’t get sucked into the black hole today. 99% of screen one was gainfully productive.
Virtual (((hugs))) and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for all those those who need them.
🙋♀️ Miele failte to the newbies.
☘️ Terri
March Action for Happiness:1. Set an intention to live with awareness and kindness. I intend to live with awareness and kindness26. Choose to spend less times looking at screens today. Not easy, but I will refrain from being distracted, and succumbing to any unnecessary scrolling. Machka: Not much hope of getting into the garden here as it looks like the rain has settled in for the day.
2. Notice three things you find beautiful in the outside world.Trees silhouetted against the sky; the appearance of snowdrops in spring; the sound of waves breaking on the shore.
3. Start today by appreciating your body and that you are alive. I meditate on this each morning when I wake up, and am grateful for each new opportunity to have a good day.
4. Notice how you speak to yourself and choose to use kind words. Positive affirmations are very powerful. Be kind to yourself, always.
5. Bring to mind people you care about and send love to them. We chatted with our girls about other family members, and raised a glass to them.
6. Have a ‘no plans’ day and notice how that feels. I will do this tomorrow (7th)
7. Take three calm breaths at regular intervals during your day.Resisting the temptation to plan my day. Serendipity reigns today.
8. Eat mindfully. Appreciate the taste, texture and email of your food. ✔️
9. Take a full breath in and out before you reply to others. I’m a great advocate of deep breathing, and find this works well.
10. Get outside and notice how the weather feels on your face.I wasn’t looking forward to going outside this morning as we had snow overnight and it seemed very cold. However, the sun shone in a clear blue sky, and the wind had dropped right down again, and I spent time with my eyes closed feeling the heat on my face before I went into the centre for Latin Study.
11. Stay fully present while drinking your cup of tea or coffee. Always! Gives me calm thinking time.
12. Listen deeply to someone and really hear what they are saying. When I tried to do this with DH this morning, he got distracted by a discussion on What the Papers Say on TV. 😝 However, we often have in-depth discussions, usually over lunc and dinner.
13. Pause to watch the sky or clouds for a few minutes today. The sun was valiantly trying to break through rain clouds just after sunrise, but the forecast is for heavy showers, but I’m watching the blue patches in hope that it clears up.
14. Find ways to enjoy any chores or tasks that you do.Doing the task isn’t the problem 😝 It’s getting started that’s difficult. I sometimes put on my favourite music, or listen to a podcast.
15. Stop. Breathe. Notice. Repeat regularly. Having coffee after putting away the week’s groceries. There is pink blossom on my prunus purpurea, magnolia buds are beginning to colour up, tulips and daffodils in the containers outside the window are beginning to bloom. There are lots of little birds flitting about in the trees. Spring is doing its best to banish the winter cold. This is a regular joy in my life.
16. Get really absorbed with an interesting or creative activity. I am preparing some paintings for a display of my Monday Painters work
17. Look around and spot three thing you find unusual or pleasant.Today it is more like autumn tha spring. There is a thick sea mist. My usual view of countryside is reduced to about 500 yards. Everything looks damp and grey.
18. If you find yourself rushing, make an effort to slow down. Took things slow and easy today. Planning to do the same tomorrow as it’s Mother’s Day in UK.
19. Appreciate nature around you wherever you are. My writing desk has a lovely view of the countryside beyond houses. And there are lots of bird life flying about amongst the trees in the neighbouring gardens..
20. Focus on what makes you and others happy today. My writing, and my art always makes me happy, and sharing it with like-minded people makes them happy. That means that today was filled with focusing on what makes myself and others happy.
21. Listen to a piece of music without doing anything else. ’Love Affair’ - Rainbow Valley. (NOW! That’s 60’s)Hubby came home and disturbed me 😝
22. Notice something that is going well, even if today feels difficult. My prep for the art display next week is going well. Most members have already given pieces for display.
23. Tune into your feelings, without judging or trying to change them. I am fully in the moment, relaxing, and contemplating what I will have for breakfast, and how I will spend my day. DH has gone out for the day so I am free as a bird so to speak. (My natural bent is positivity. I choose to be happy in the moment. I acknowledge all my feelings, but on the rare occasions when I feel down, I choose to count my blessings, put in some music and dance.)
24. Appreciate your hands and all the things they enable you to do. I am grateful for all the pleasure I get from working with my hands at my art and crafts.
25 Focus your attention on the good things you take for granted. Positive thoughts are so uplifting27. Cultivate a feeling of loving-kindness towards others today.
28. Notice when you are tired and take a break as soon as possible.
29. Choose a different route today and see
what you notice.
30. Mentally scan your body and notice what you are feeling.
31. Discover the joy in the simple things of life.2 -
Lisa I got away from online shopping only to find myself in the kitchen. It was a day of cravings. I had a toasted peanut butter sandwich that totally blew my calorie count. And today is rest day so I can't work it off today. But tomorrow is a fresh start. I will have to work hard if I want to lose any this week.
Today I ate 1495 calories. Ouch! I have an overage of 395. And I decided that in honor of the sciatica, I would have a total rest day, no biking. So tomorrow had better be low calorie!

Tina-Ive seen Reba a couple of times, she was awesome.. enjoy!!!
Heather- your food looks delish..and boy Johnny is quite the artist as you are!!
Barbie- your right ... I love my grandkids and I watch Miles because I love him ,but with no back up ,Tracy needs to figure out what she needs to do.

Annie - Something that always helped me when I was veering off the beaten path diet-wise, was to make half of something like a toasted pb sandwich. I would even tell myself I could make another half if I was still hungry for it, as long as I waited five minutes after eating the first one. My relationship with serving size was just broken after being 200-300 pounds for so long.

Hi Gals,
Thanks for the feed back…. I had 4 hours away today and it really helped! I am starting to keep a itemized list for finances. And am regularly using her credit card on a “just for her” item.
The challenge is with the bathroom door is a 20 inch clearance, and all of the shower or transport chairs I have found have 21 + inch clearance; and even if I found one at 20 that means I have to line up exactly right and once I was into the bathroom I am not sure I could turn around…. This is a VERY little house so both bathrooms require passing by the toilet then shutting the door then going back to sit on the toilet. So we are keeping with the transfer system for now.
With any luck the OT, and PT will start this week so I will have a little support. I did call my niece who is a PT in Boston and got a few pointers from her that should help me, help mom with less wear and tear on my body.
Allie – PLEASE get trip insurance! It is worth the peace of mind – but read the fine print and be sure it is covering things you want covered. Like a trip home for medical support, late cancellation for medical issues…. If something happened you don’t want to not be able to have another last fling.

Today I had a nice time shopping with my daughter & granddaughter. My favorite part of the trip was having my granddaughter choose a frame for a lovely hummingbird print I’ve always liked. I miss my hummingbirds and our home in Oregon. The newly framed print is a delight & I am very happy with it. 💖

HeatherUK That looks yummy! DH wanted to eat out tonight. I told him we needed more choices. It was pretty so we took the GT500 out. We ended up at a place about 20 mins from hone that is owned by a fellow I use to work with. I had teriyaki chicken with broccoli, red and yellow peppers, onions, and rice. It was wonderful and half is for lunch tomorrow. DH had fish n chips-also good. Desserts came home with us. I did have a bite of his and mine, but will save more for another day.
Shopping- I am not a good shopper. I am good for about 2 hours, then am done. I rarely shop unless there is a purpose. The only exception is artistry places like on vacations. Even then 2 hours is about my limit.
Strange event today leaving farm....Our road isn't normally well traveled. Think back country, 2 cars might pass, curvy roads. As we were leaving our farm, I spotted a white SUV pulled over just past our fence row on the side of the road. I slowed thinking maybe someone was fishing in the creek, but saw no one. I continued on slowly starting up the hill, then stopped. Steve asked what I was doing. I just had to go back and see if the person needed help. I backed up. It was a well dressed lady and she was crying. I asked if she was okay. She said yes while wiping away tears. I asked if she needed me to call someone or anything. She said she was okay. I then left feeling uneasy. Like I said this road isn't traveled much. I got to the end of the road and realized that I left my magazine on the picnic table. After an electric truck passed me, I turned around and went back to farm. She was still there. While at the farm, I told the guys working there to please go check in a little while. When we left again I waved at her. She did wave back. I started praying for her. I passed two more electric trucks and another car before turning off our road again. I just hope by stopping that I helped her. Just a weird feeling and I was really uneasy leaving her. Not sure what else I could have done. BYW, the electric trucks were heading to our farm as we had no power.
Laundry going. No work work done, but such is life.
Much ❤️
Please know you are all special and worthy!

So the lady wasn't there when the guys left farm which I hope is good! Maybe she just needed a quiet place to cry.
Annie eating....yesterday my eating sucked! My day started with doughnuts 🍩 that were brought as a thank you from the young man we helped in his theft incident. I ate 3! McDonald's for dinner, then peanut butter mix and chocolate 🍫 before bed. I was way over. But today I was more on track. I believe an off day keeps our souks happy and our bodies guessing! Just can't do it too often.

I volunteer to keep busy and moving forward since my husband and son died. I know I will never get over my son’s passing.
Friday and today I worked gate at the New Mexico Celtic Ren fair. I was on my feet 6 hours each day. I got to see a lot of people I haven’t seen in years, getting lots of hugs. It was freezing, windy and we had snow flurries off and on both days. On Saturday I went to the fair as a participant.
I am exhausted but I had a wonderful day Saturday and lots of fun working gate. Part of gate is searching bags and backpacks. Most people are nice, but there is always an exception or two.
I don’t often get to say I had a good day, so I am grateful for the weekend. I am working the Pirate and Viking bash in August for the same group.
It was so cold all of us women Security and staff made a new fashion statement by wearing extra large event shirts over our down jackets. I felt like I weighed 176 again. Lol. But I was warm and didn’t care.

I thought I was the only one that enjoyed the peanut butter w/ chocolate before bed!! Last time I added Nutella to my peanut butter. Most times I just grab a spoon full of plain peanut butter. If I have trouble sleeping, like last night, I grabbed a spoonful. Went to sleep soon after.
