Pip – I’m even housebroken!!! So I won’t be much work at all….lol

barbie – I’m so sorry to read about Jake. HUGS

Tracey – that’s interesting that children stop wanting to sleep with their parents at 10. But it’s not like PJ asked to sleep with Denise. She asked him if he wanted to. Oh well… Your girls sneaking into your bed was their choice. Like I said...oh well. My kids slept with us if they had a bad dream or weren’t feeling well. Another thing is that when we asked PJ if he wanted to go "pottie" he wanted Vince to pee at the same time he pee'd because that's what Pete does. I can see it at first to show him what needs to be done. But to continue????

Rhonda – what fantastic sites you have on your walks! I wish I had different sites, just the same old, same old, around the block.

M – I would have brought my own bag to WaWa had I known that they were going to charge for one. Well, live and learn….and die a fool! Who was it that said “I didn’t make a mistake, I just learned what not to do”

After work stopped at the church. Before I left for DE she asked if I could stop by and pick up donations for the soup kitchen. She was away helping someone else so she didn’t answer the door so I left. I’ll go back Thurs after work. Then stopped at Food Lion hoping they didn’t have the Pepsi Vince likes (it’s on sale BOGO) only they did so I had to buy them all. I was hoping to be able to get a raincheck.

Vince has to go to the sleep specialist then to the allergist. I want to stop at the Salvation Army so I’ll go with him. I’d also like him to stop at the Food Lion by me and get a raincheck. I’ll probably take a walk down there later tonight and get a raincheck. It’s a good price

Joy – praying for your son

Thanks for all of the compliments on my desserts. I really love making them and thought about making more(and would have if I hadn't had to stop to go up to the party that didn't happen).
Church camp will always have a special place in my heart. I met and got to know so many life long friends at the one I went to every year of jr and senior high. Even got to know my future first hubby there. He is still my best friend and I am still very close with a few others that I happened to meet up there. Almost 50 yrs later which is pretty amazing. I told my mom, you never know the friendships that will start there(or marriages ;) ). Two kids way was paid for completely with what I brought.

It also got me in the mood to make more candy which will be shipped to that special friend/former hubby next week for his birthday. Told him sorry but the chocolate covered strawberries and cherries would not do well being shipped to Indiana. He will enjoy any chocolate

I found the 99cent store had the Hershey choc. chips for just $1 where the other two brands were $3 so will be going and stocking up for our annual candy making at Christmas. And beings I am planning on taking a break off from working, maybe for good, we will have more time to make more. I need to pull out all my candy molds from the shed and do some fancier ones and not just stuff I can do quickly like the nut clusters and the fudges(14 kinds last count)- need more people to give to though
We don't need it in the house but I really have fun making it(when not rushed)

Debbie I’m intrigued by your cinnamon vanilla sweet ricotta filling. Would you share the recipe?

Michele “… supreme sacrifice…” taste testing all Debbie’s creations. LOL!

2023: Be of good cheer. June: Move more, fuel better, live NOW.

I just kind of made up my own recipe- Mixed ricotta that I had in the freezer(Grocery Outlet had them really cheap last month-usually use it in savory dishes that are cooked, first time trying them in sweet and not cooked recipe) with powdered sugar, a little honey powder, vanilla and some cinnamon powder. I saw a recipe using honey and I had honey powder and used some but dh said it wasn't sweet enough so used the powdered sugar.

For the mango it is the ricotta, powdered sugar, honey powder, pureed mango and mango flavoring. I need to pick up another bottle of it- I have two but this one is a flavoring and a coloring in one-the other is just the flavoring with a green tint to it- didn't want green with mango.

Michele- Wish you were closer. I love making all this stuff and sharing it-giving it away is what makes it worth the work and long hours(especially when we do it for Christmas and all in just one weekend)

Debbie – I know that our soup kitchen does a fundraiser around Christmas time where they sell candy tins. I’m sure an organization can use your candies for a fundraiser or prize.

    Tinselart – welcome

@auntiebk Thank you for asking.. but I don’t put, my name, location or pics up on a open site. Unfortunately someone used my information for fraud. So I will use by screen name. Better safe than sorry. 🙂

:) We can learn your name in time. We respect your privacy. The reason I like to see a location is to be able to identify with weather and plants. I live pretty far north so when someone shares that they already have flowers or vegetables, I like to know how far south they are. When someone says that it's too hot to take a walk, I wonder where they live. I hope you'll share what you're comfortable with and ignore the rest.

I have a great friend that just uses a nickname online for the same reason. No where is her name on any of the sites. I have been so used to it that I almost forget her real name.

I answer to Katiebug in only three places. Here, my living debt free message board, and to a few cousins who just won’t let it go. I try to stay unsearchable by my name on this board since I don’t share my weight loss struggles with many people, but anybody with minimal skills could find me. If they want to go to that much trouble, I wish them well. Because of the nature of my work, anyone with my real name can find my cell phone number and my email address with a few clicks. It is what it is. I have to be reachable by the people who need me.

Well I just read about planting wild flower seeds....I should have read before I planted them...I buried the seeds in the soil and apparently they need light and just need to be compressed and have contact with the soil but not be buried.
Also the area stays wet where I planted the seeds. Apparently this isn't good either.

    Rosemarie from Georgia

Rosemarie - welcome back home to Georgia! Sounds like despite nasty weather, you were able to touch base with a lot of relatives. Love the adirondack chairs.

The best luck I ever had planting wildflowers came from seeds distributed by the State/County extension service. The Master Gardeners had them available. Since they were grown specifically for my zone and climate, most of them did really well the first year. As the years went on, only a few kept reproducing - a lot of that was my fault as they were invasive and I wanted to use part of the garden for vegetables so I hacked them back. But I still have a few that return. And I ran across a packet in my seed stash recently, It's probably too late to sprinkle them around this year but I'll plan for next year. Like most weeds, these seeds can stay dormant for years, lol. ;)

Not sure where you got your seeds, but this might be a lead for you if you wish to try a different source.

    Good luck!

    6. Spend time outdoors- while walking barefoot and watering plants this morning, I enjoyed the warm grass, sound of the woodpecker, and the music of other birds. This evening sat at the neighbor's picnic table admiring her gardens.

While sorting papers this morning, I watched a hummingbird rest and feed for over 5 mins! It was amazing! Then it opened its mouth wide as a second dive bombed him and off they flew. Before leaving for work, one was back at the feeder. :)

Debbie I love all your chocolates!
Vickie I hope you get your help soon.
Ginny I seriously don't expect changes at work in my lifetime....seriously. It took 20 years to get a computer system! It would be fabulous, but not expected.
drkatiebug I am really easy to track. I figure my identity has been stolen once already so no reason to stress over it. I do take the obvious precautions and check sights often. I understand some situations where anonymity can be important though. So like you see both sides.

We finally got some rain tonight. Yay!

    Welcomes!
    Hugs!
    Happiness!

Time to leave my frustrations in the living room and get some sleep.

I love your name, it is close to my very favorite nickname for my son. Jonabug. Still call him that and he is 25

    I slept well last night.
Today is the day I get my 'arm off'. :p At least, I hope so.
It's over 5 weeks since my accident, so I hope it's healed enough.
I still haven't decided whether to get the bus, or a taxi. DH hasn't offered, which I'm finding a bit annoying, but that's him. He is so independent, he can't imagine anyone not being.
The bus takes ages, and the taxi is quick. I will get a bus back and maybe stop off for some new knickers on the way home. The laundry on the cruise always wraps your clean knickers and socks in a pretty tissue parcel and puts a sticker on it. So ratty old knickers are a bit embarrassing!!! :p
I'm hoping yesterday's cramps were a passing thing, but last time I had them, 19 years ago, it went on for months. I'm wondering whether I stretched too far in my yoga exercises.

Love you all. I hope to post a pic of my cast-less arm!

    Heather UK xxxxxxxx

    Cramps can be from ...

    Dehydration ... not enough water.
    Low magnesium.
    Doing more exercise than usual.

    Would one of those apply?

When was the last time you had a complete physical?

Well, the rain wasn't much....a few spots in the beds were wet, but otherwise still had to water. But I am sure the grass is a little happier for even the small amount! Work papers organized, plants watered, linens changed, and laundry sorted. Great start to day.

May your day be full of healthy lifestyle decisions today. If you slip, that is all it is, just get back up, brush off, and learn from the moment!

    Love and hugs to all!
