Morning ladies
Woof this morning was a nightmare...not for me but for Tracy....
She had a meltdown..Carmine is just beyond beyond.. she is doing as she pleases.. and Tracy with Kyle away is dealing with it alone..no more therapy, because the therapist said all she does is go to crab about how mistreated and horrible her life is..
So no more therapy.. she didn't show up to the house Tracy found out she was hanging out at a local restaurant.. well at least let mom know where you are..
She stole pills from her grandfather, so she is no longer aloud down there ,granted it was only melatonin but still.. so Tracy went through her room last night.. so Carmine came down and started going through her parents room..and so it goes..
They can get no help anywhere financially because they make to much.. and I told her to call the crisis line..its now or never..
It is effecting Miles for sure..5 -
Good morning ladies!
Allie that is so sad, the family is in such a crisis. It's not good for anyone.
My Dad's computer is not working this morning. The monitor is getting weak/no signal. I can barely follow the cords- it's a rat's nest back there. I feel inadequate when I can't fix it, but at least I didn't go for the chocolate. Yet. I just hope he leaves the router alone so the house internet keeps going.
I skipped my exercise last night. It doesn't take much to wear me out, and after groceries and cooking supper, I was just tired. I need to get back into that automatic habit thing. Dumbbells tonight.

(((Allie))) - many hugs. Sounds truly awful for all concerned.1

Allie ... "no more therapy" for Carmine because the therapist said all she does is complain? That is exactly one of the reasons why she needs therapy. Maybe not with the current therapist as it seems they aren't able to establish a relationship with Carmine. Therapy takes time and finding the right therapist. Carmine also has to want to make her life better ... regardless of who is at fault. Sigh. Praying for you all.
Tracy ... your work situation just sounds more toxic by the moment. Thankful you have a doctor who sees the situation for what it is.
I am trying to get my food choices back on track ... not only for me but for my guys.

Allie—Sending good thoughts for Carmine. I hope that she is able to get help. Beth’s comments are wise. Carmine also needs to want to make her life better. It may take time for her to feel things are going better.

(((hugs))) to those who need them.
Bully is exactly what he is, Kim! Just a creepy, narcissistic, bully! And that danged girl is just not good at keeping us informed. Haven't heard from her about the results from the hearing. I'm not worried, believe me. She's like this all the time. Rather selfish herself, unfortunately for us.
Yes, Barbara. She's Caddie and Hunter's mom.
They generally make these things quick, Tracey, even if it is "delayed". The continuance would only be for a couple days, maybe a week.
Oh my Tracey... that's kinda scary that the doctor is so concerned about "getting involved". I am glad you're finally getting a lawyer though. You really need one. I agree with Ginny, although I don't know how Canadian employment law works either. It's clearly been harrassment. Still praying for you. So glad you're on leave.
Allie, I hope she did call the crisis line. Is there any chance that Tracy would consider having Carmine put on a 72 hour hold? I mean, for her own good? Seriously. If she's that rebelious and just not listening anymore to anyone, could Tracy have her held as a danger to herself? Yeah... what Beth said... Did I really understand what you said? Did the therapist say no more therapy because all Carmine does is complain about how mistreated and horrible her life is? Isn't that what a therapist is supposed to listen to and dig into?

This is not the day to do tasks other than watering and walking Drew on short walks. We have the worst air quality in the nation yesterday and today! I found my N-100 mask which I will wear when I water and my other mask I made with a strong air filter insert that I will wear when I walk Drew.
Very frustrating after the winter and non spring that we had. After the third snowiest winter we now again are on the verge of a drought.
Another neighbor asked that I water for five days plants they just planted before they left. Also the day our poor air quality alert that suggests no one should be outside without a good reason. I am practicing my NO if anyone asks me to water again this summer. With our weather conditions and trying to keep two gardens alive already. What is that word again NO!
I know I am asked because they see how well I maintain my plants. Answer NO! Now that I practiced it three times it just might work for me to say it.
I do not understand if they knew they were going to be gone a week why they planted $300 worth of plants right before they left.6 -
Rebecca--It is a lot of work and when is all done your sister will never have anything to feel sorry about as she has bent over backwards for the kids. What a great sister you are for helping and being with her during this time.
Tracey--Sounds like your doctor has your best intest in mind and that is great. Hope you can get a lawyer and keep the bully away.
Flea--So happy for your good reports!
Allie--Sounds like it is time for tough love. Call the police and have her EPC'd. That would start things moving to get her help before something really bad happens. We had to do that with our oldest son about that age. It is not easy, but child needs help.
My one lady that is very limited in how many hours she can work, came in to talk to me this morning. I was so afraid she was going to tell me she was quitting. But she asked for 6 more hours every 2 weeks. So one day every 2 weeks I will leave early and cut back on overtime and I am excited. It's the little things that help.
Blessings, Vicki GRAND ISLAND, NE10 -
Good morning, ladies. Tracey it sounds like your doctor gave you very good advice. Hope you are able to get a lawyer to advice you further. So sorry you have to deal with this situation.
Carmine is crying out for help in my opinion. Hard to believe or understand why a therapist would basically turn her back.
Finally got much needed substantial rain. Started overnight and still raining with about an inch so far. Our county may be lifting the total fire ban now.
Lucy is settling in nicely. Still watches me closely and keeps me within her sight most of the time. Find that a bit sad as I'm sure being left by her owners has had an affect on her. Gets along very well with Buddy and all the cats.
Enjoy your day, ladies.

1. Decide to look for what’s good every day this month. Started with friendly people.
2. Say positive things in your conversations with others. I will try, but people annoy me.
3. Re-frame a worry and try to find a helpful way to think about it. This will be about my son. Not sure how to re-frame it but will find a way today. I must realize he is a full grown man and in charge of his own life.
4. Take a photo of something that brings you joy and share it.
5. Think of 3 things you’re grateful for and write them down. 1. My family, 2. A roof over my head, 3. Enough food to eat.
6. Get out into green space and feel the joy that nature brings. every day!
7. Do something healthy that makes you feel good. 2 walks so far. And therapist today.
8. Find joy in music: sing, play, dance, listen or share. To be accomplished.
9. Ask a friend what made them happy recently. Did this on my trip to Lubbock to get my car back finally. Was a great day!
10. Bring joy to others by doing something kind for them. Will report on this later! Gave a family some Little Debbie cookies.
11. Eat good food that makes you happy and really savor it. Will do! Yesterday had a salad made from lettuce, onion, peppers, and tomato from my garden. The dressing was homemade too! Mmmmmm
12. Write a gratitude letter to thank someone. To be done! Sent my GS a thank you note for being my grandchild!
14. Share a happy memory with someone who means a lot to you. Will do.
15. Look for something to be thankful for where you least expect it. This will be fun to find things. How about turtle eggs on the beach that have to be moved to not be crushed.16. Speak to others in a warm and friendly manner.
17. Take time to notice things that you find beautiful.
18. Look for something good in a difficult situation.
19. Get outside and find the joy in being active.
20. Rediscover and enjoy a fun childhood activity.
21. Send a positive note to a friend who needs encouragement.
22. Watch something funny and enjoy how it feels to laugh.
23. Create a playlist of uplifting songs to listen to.
24. Bring to mind a favorite memory you feel grateful for.
25. Show your appreciation to people who are helping others
26. Make time to do something playful just for the fun of it.
27. Be kind to you. Do something that brings you joy.
28. Notice how positive emotions are contagious among people.
29. Share a friendly smile with people you see today.
30. Make a list of the joys in your life and keep adding to it.

I agree with putting Carmine in a 72 hour hold. She/he needs help, and clearly, the therapist she had is not a professional. Unless all that about no more therapy was all Carmine’s saying and the therapist didn’t directly talk to mom. Tough love by leaving my DS in jail for a month brought him to his senses and got him the help he needs. I know Carmine isn’t even 16, but she needs some hard intervention. My heart goes out to you Allie, because we can’t really do anything to intervene. The parent has to in Carmine’s case and my DS in his own situation which is getting worse by the minute as well.
We all need to take it one day at a time and try to do a little once a day towards trying to resolve it. Even if it is only being there for the troubled person. There is many services available I found out for my son in RI, I’m sure CT have many of the same. Look up for some then text only one at a time to Carmine and Tracy once a day with no other comments. Might help, might not, but it will give you something to do to help. And it will help you feel like you are trying to help without interfering and being cut out. IMO I’m not sure, just trying to help as well.

Just thoughts by someone not in the situation. ~Your Granddaughter is *screaming out for attention, from the people that are suppose to love her the most! Her family. She has gotten away with the negative behavior for so long.. its her and the families normal. Has her parents tried spending time .. -quality time with her only. Plan a long weekend the 3 of them, so she can have that one on one with her mom and dad so she understands -she -matters to them! It’s hard to compete with a cute toddler. The therapist needs a therapist.7 -

I agree with the other ladies. It sounds to me like Carmine is crying out for help. I can’t imagine how she feels knowing that her parents would go into debt to get another child, but they won’t do anything that’s going to cost them any money to help her. I’m not saying she’s right, but she had a whole lot to deal with when she was starting through puberty. She was watching her parents do everything they could to get another child. When you’re already screwed up from changing hormones, add on that it looks like you’re not enough for your parents. I don’t know how she was expected to deal with that.
It’s a horribly sad situation all the way around. If they don’t decide to do everything they can to help her, whether that’s an involuntary hold, spending the money on hospitalization/real therapy, or whatever else they can find, I fear this is going to have a very bad outcome.

I agree with each and every one of you..
She went up to Seths on the bus without telling Tracy and doing whatever she pleases.and one of the reasons right now she is out of control is that Kyle isn't home.so she knows she can push Tracys buttons and Kyle isn't there to squelch it..
Kyle is dealing with stuff of his own..
So we shall see..
Tracy is at the end of her rope with a 1 yr old and a teen..
All I can do is be there for support.. at least school is done for now Summer school is online starting July 5th..we will see how that goes.

Allie ~ Oakie and Lightstrongma have said what Tracy and Kyle need to hear. Perhaps you could send them a copy of the advise they are offering. Of course, then they might be mad at you for airing the family laundry.
I am so sorry for the whole situation for that family and you.
Tracey ~ I love your Christmas ornament! I hope the lawyer you visit will be able to get you out of a bad situation at work.

Hello ladies!
My sister is coming to visit July 24 to go with my dad to my aunt's funeral. We are a wee bit competitive, so that will help push me to stay on track. Motivation is great! I just have to keep up with the exercise and stay away from the chocolate.
I bought a new bathing suit bottom from Amazon. It isn't bad but could be looser. It will be by the time my sister gets here!
I'm amazed that I can buy clothes online that fit. I bought a new bra just to test. It arrives Saturday. That may not fit for long!
Little by little, we can make it happen!

Popping in to say hello. Just got back from the Nuggets Championship Parade and Rally. I was at the arena on Monday night when they won. I shed a quick tear and then had to quickly resume composure and get back to checking credentials as there were hundreds of people going through the backstage area where I work. It was a long evening and we are always the last to leave. With champagne flowing and cigars smoking, the guys were in no rush to go anywhere. I was hugged by a handful of players, broadcasters and team execs. Now my uniform jacket smells of cigars and champagne, but I don't care. We are the Champions!!!! Here is a photo taken on the court after I had worked a 10 hour day on my feet. If there was ever a motivation for me to stay fit, it's for this kind of unique experience.

Annie: Enjoy your visit with your sister!
Allie: Thinking about. you and your family. Maybe family counseling would help, rather than Carmine going by herself.
And maybe after the session going to dinner without Miles for some adult time.
Lisa: Good luck to your daughter at the leadership school!
Rebecca: Sorry you and your sister are so exhausted. You are great to be helping your sister!
MargaretTurk: Sorry about the air quality and people expecting you to care for their gardens.
Ginny: Glad you have a sense of relief and peace from having the difficult conversation with someone!
Annie: Glad your Mom is doing well! Congrats on the exercise!
Tracey: Overall the MD sounds supportive. It sounds like she is trying to help you by suggesting an attorney.
Heather: You will look wonderful on the cruise!
Machka: 8 months on the road with the blue bike! What an adventure that must have been!
Flea: Glad you got a good report from the oncologist!
Joy: Great that the books will be all in order when the inspector comes!
Well today my son came to Middle GA from Atlanta because we hoped to sell the disability van to a business about 30 minutes from here. Alas, the gentleman we met with, took notes on the van and says he wants to talk with his partner.
I was a little dismayed because my son missed some work and I thought we were talking to a guy who could make the final decision and make an offer. I want to sell the van before it gets any older or gets into a fender bender. Anyway, we drove it home and it is back in the driveway! Sigh! The van is already 5 years old.

But who is the parent and who is the child? Have they thrown - up their hands because of whatever needs more attention at the moment?
Knowing this is non of my business! I feel for the child. Its like she takes the back seat in the dynamics of the family.
Why don’t you take her for a weekend and spend some quality time with her. Talk with her.. and don’t focus on her behavior. Maybe she will open up to you and understand you love and care about her.
We all have our problems .. and it’s easy for me to say.

Flea-excellent news!
TraceyI'm not sure how things work in Canada (I am pretty knowledgeable with US requirements). However, if your doctor thinks some of the papers/requests may be illegal, I would follow her advice and at least consult with an attorney. I don't know if Canada has Worker's Compensation like we do, but here if there is clearly established stress/harrassment it could be covered.
Rebecca-it looks like you and sister did tremendous work. Even though children only chose to view for 30 minutes, when sister clears out all of the stuff, if they later complain-she gave them a chance.
Barbara-guess I am just a glutton for punishment! Actually, I do still enjoy the problem solving. I am also needing to redo some succession planning. After my time here, I feel I should if I can-but not terribly long! Plus, building project probably won't be done until late in the year/early next year. I do want to see that finished.
Well, since I had so many meetings today I am going to check some emails. Two meetings tomorrow-one that should be enjoyable with my peers, then I come back to issue a discipline in afternoon. Will leave after that-food pantry tomorrow night!
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio
Yep, if they didn't wish to come down, I told my sister she was in the drivers seat of what she showed them. There are two classic cars here that they need to come claim, plus the containers of what they chose. Of course my sister has to go thru the items and pick out the things with the specific colored sticky notes on them.
Today I laid out in the sun for a good hour. Its my birth day, so I told her I was going to be lazy. I let her do what she wished to do, which was pretty much weed the flower beds for most of the day. She is a hard worker, but she has to, in order to keep on top of this place.🙃👍🏼

Allie-hopefully you can get a definitive answer. With either condition you need to take care of yourself. Question-did you say recently that Kyle and Tracey were celebrating 5 years? Is Kyle Carmine's biological father?
Rosemarie-too bad about the van. I am sure it will sell.
Rori-what a cool experience.
Annie-could you maybe contact someone like Best Buy Geek Squad? It might be worth the money (and your sanity).
Pip-I am glad you found your key (I totally missed it was lost!)
Food pantry went well. Haven't got report of how many served yet. Pleasant evening, rain held off. All of the people were in a good mood.
Only working around 5 hours tomorrow (have to use some vacation or lose it). Monday is a holiday. I may. do som stuff over the week end to get out of way before vacation trip on July 25.
Take care all,

Machka - we have been thinking of going camping this summer. We haven’t been to Nordegg area for years maybe that is a good place to look into. I’m not interested in camping if the fires don’t settle though.
Carla - I hope the hearing isn’t delayed too long. It’s hard when there are things hanging over your head.
Lisa - we have those warnings too and they seem to miss us while other parts of the city are hit.
Will you get to see your daughter since she is back in Texas for a few weeks?
I hope the meds work for you.
Rebecca - it’s a shame that his kids wouldn’t make more time, but I think this shows your sister that she doesn’t need to worry so much now about them wanting things and she can make decisions on what to do with stuff.
Carol - I love you me hair. I’m feeling I want to do the same thing and get a bunch cut off. I also go to Great Clips, the cost is fine and there are good stylists there.
Flea - such great news!
Ginny - thank you. I’m calling a lawyer in the morning. I need to do something to get this resolved. My doctor said even being worried about finding a job right now is hard on me.
Machka - thank you! I haven’t thought of going the WCB route. I know at one time they wouldn’t accept stress leaves.
Barbie - yay for the clear mammogram! That was fast results.
I went to ceramics tonight. I’m having such a hard time shutting my brain off.
I was able to finish my Granddaughter’s Christmas gift though. This will have a turntable for the little train to go around and a music box that will play “You are my Sunshine”.

Plus she will hire a gal to do an estate sale type thing. I told her she needs to be gone on the day of the sale, then pay her a percentage. Another lady will take what's left as long as its over a specific amount.
