Debbie: My sympathy to Destiny's family and friends.
Machka9: I made a word cloud and saved it. I want to compare it to one I make this time next year.
Annie: Lunch on the Chesapeake Bay, looking at boats sounds wonderful!
Lanette: I took Omega3 for a while but the pills were so big I stopped. I do eat salmon. I hope that has Omega 3.
Kylia: Sounds enjoyable: watching the fireworks from your front porch. Congrats on winning 2nd place at the American Festival.
Tracey: I hope the hr lady sees the letter from the doctor and does the right thing.
Heather: I hope you are feeling better. Overall the trip sounds wonderful!
Rebecca: I plan to watch the u-tube video on minimalism. I certainly have more I can throw out!
Vickie: Sorry for the split up. I hope you are still able to see your grandchildren.
Beth: Good of you to bring your Mom home for the 4th. I am glad you had a good day.
Today I looked at VRBO rentals for a possible get away. I am not sure I can afford to get away. I have a wedding in MA next September (2024) that I plan to attend. This will involve air fare and car rentals and so forth. Yet I feel confined thinking I need to wait over 12 months for a get away. Anyway I enjoy looking at VRBO's and Air Bnb's so even though I wasn't productive, I had a good day.
Best,

Good evening ladies!
Today I ate 1083 calories. Yay! And I did twenty minutes on the bike, and an hour of yoga, and thirty minutes of aerobic walking. Yay! My deficit was 486. Yay! I can do this!
It's day 20 of my sister challenge, with 19 days to go.

Home from vacation. I’ve kept to my goal of 7000 steps per day. I’ve made poor eating choices the past few days and my weight is up. Tomorrow the choices go back to normal and I’ll have to work for the 7000 steps because it’s going to be 93 and the AC will be down through Friday while they do some work on it. Fun! 😅😅😅
Hope you all had a nice July 4th and a good Wednesday.

Beth—I like the hummingbird feeders from Perky Pet that uses a suction cup to hold the feeder on my window. It works very well for me and is easy.
I have seen other hummingbird feeders mounted on a sturdy post in the ground with plenty of capacity for the sugar water. There is one in a lovely garden area near where I live.
In the beginning I had a glass feeder that dangled from an upper deck. The location was windy and the sugar water spilled in the wind.
I like the the window feeder best. 😊

Kylia - I have the same as you for adult children. One struggles the other doesn’t. The one that struggles hasn’t made many stupid decisions, they make sure the kids are well taken care of.
Heather - enjoy what you can of the last day.
Annie - I have joined a gym in two separate occasions. I never will again because they make it so difficult to stop paying. I’m happy to read you were not given a hard time.
We had a tv growing up, just country cable though. It was on continuously. Our tv here at home is on anytime DH is home. I prefer the quiet mostly, especially lately.
Lisa - I love your writing and stories. Your family history is fascinating! I loved the book of the month club.
My Grandmother would sign up every summer. For my birthday, Christmas and Rodger’s birthday she would get the minimum number she needed to purchase and then cancel. She did this for numerous years and she would read every book before she gave them to us but she was so meticulous we never knew.
Every time there is a holiday that involves fireworks I am thankful I live here. Once in a while someone sets off a small one, but they are usually stopped in short order.
I follow the Bangor, Maine Police Department’s FB page, their writer is hilarious. He put up a post yesterday about fireworks.
Allie - is Kyle and Tracy seeing anyone for therapy? As an outsider looking in, Carmine seems pretty abused by him and Tracy takes Kyle’s side always. I would be spending more time at Seth’s too in Carmine’s shoes. I understand Carmine is being difficult but kids don’t act out like that without a reason in my experience.
Vicki - I’m so sorry about your son and his wife. It must be terrible to witness.
Lanette - I am far from thinking of retirement living, but I’m pretty sure I would be happier at a place like Karen’s. If I want some peace and quiet I can always stay at home. I currently live in a similar situation as Barbie and I really wish I could make friends here easier. Everyone is very stand-offish though.
Rosemarie - we are wanting to get away too. Our unexpected trip to NB in January really messed us up. Now with my work situation we are also concerned.
The HR lady didn’t even acknowledge that she received the letter. I’m very frustrated.
Jonah went home today, both grands are here Saturday night for the night and then on Tuesday Michaela comes for two nights.
I saw my doctor today for a follow up, she prescribed reading, walking, and more time with the Grands. She doesn’t believe I need any medication changes for my anti depressant, I just need a break from the stress.
I really need to work on my resume and cover letter. I would at this point just like to find another job and be done with this foolishness. I understand why so many before me left and never did anything to help the others left there.

Destiny passed peacefully today at 2pm. She was surrounded by parents, siblings, aunts and uncles. Thank you for your prayers of healing and peace. We cling to Isaiah 57:1. She has been taken from this world to be saved from the troubles to come. She is healed. ❤️ Continued prayer for peace for the family is appreciated. John 14:27 Please give the family space to heal at this time.

We try to go somewhere about every 6 weeks or couple months. But not far away. No air fares, car rentals etc.
We just drive about 200-225 km away (125-140 miles) to stay in an inexpensive (~$140/night) place for a long weekend.
We do that so we can cycle in a nice area. Where we live isn't particularly good for cycling, unfortunately.
Why not check out something relatively local ... be a local tourist.

Debbie- Peace and strength for Destiny's family. Rest well, Warrior Girl!
Minimalism- I think I may be a minimalist living with a hoarder. lol
Hey Kylia- Can you post a pic of your car?3 -
It is humid beyond anything I’ve experienced before. I don’t like it. Skies are gray & I wonder if this is connected to Canadian fires. I hope our Canadian friends are okay.
On a happier note, I’ve seen a hummingbird at my feeder this morning. 💖

During a very troubled time in my life I saw a sign on a board outside a business that said "I am grateful for unknown blessings already on their way". I embraced that thought and have used it frequently in my life. It helps me ignore what I think is evidence that things are bad, and believe that good is coming my way and I just don't know it yet.
The garlic has been harvested and is drying in the garage, beans have been planted and have begun to sprout, we are already eating the cucumbers from the plant we bought, and there are little green tomatoes on the tomato plant.
More fireworks last night but music from my phone kept Bessie calm and allowed us both to sleep.
Rosemary, consider a vacation close to home in a mid price place and do things you don't normally do.

No they aren't seeing a family therapist, Tracy is paying out of pocket for the Therapist right now..
Im not putting full blame on Kyle and Tracy or Carmine, but at this point and from what I see from both sides Carmine is super Bi Polar ,she cries at the drop of a hat, everything and I mean everything is everyone elses fault..and she screams and yells at everyone .
She has stopped taking her meds saying its just a placebo ,I think she needs intense in house therapy where they can get down to brass tacks..
She is supposed to be doing schoolwork on computer 2 hrs a day and she did 20 min yesterday..
So I feel horrible being the grandma and I have to stay out of it.. but I pray daily that it gets better and she gets the help she needs.8 -

She's a teenage girl.
She has also been taught that screaming and yelling is normal.
Didn't you have wild mood swings when you were a teenager?

Hi honies, I'm home!
The guy who drove us back started talking on his mobile, which he had down beside him. DH gave him a right talking to. His driving was not good in my opinion and I spent the journey with my eyes shut, doing deep breathing. I wanted to report him, but DH thought he had given him enough grief.
Anyway, the house is in one piece, the geraniums have been watered, and the basil survived over two weeks in the utility room! We also have a glorious meadow in our back garden!!!! It's like Norway has come home with us.
I've had a really long nap and now we are waiting for our food delivery.
Mostly unpacked. Must take the thank-you chocolate next door.
Love you all, Heather UK again. Xxxxxx
