@deepwoodslady We went to Sam's club for our monthly bulk buy and got the Halloween candy - 455 pieces (we live in a great trick-or-treating neighborhood). Every day I look at it - but so far haven't opened the bag. It's the minature tootsie rolls for me.
@ManifestingToday I had to look up what harvest corn was, we call it candy corn in Connecticut. Where are you from?
@ddainiak and @ManifestingToday In Michigan we also call it candy corn. When Manifesting mentioned harvest corn, I though she meant the ones with the chocolate brown on the ends? Anyway, whatever it is called, we all know it's pure sugar, delicious and off-limits this year lol.1 -

10/10-183.2-(Trend Weight 187.1)- I ramped up my exercise this past week and began eating later in the day so that my dinner ends up pretty late and there is no need for those night time snacks (that I have a hard time controlling.) Iโm still experimenting with the zig-zagging of both my calories and my carbs as well. It seems to be keeping the scale moving without stalls or plateaus so far. โIf it ainโt broke, donโt fix itโ, so I will stay the course. I noticed that my scale weights almost always end in a .2 or a .8 very strange.
10/11-183.0-(Trend Weight 186.7)- I have definitely not had enough calories the past couple of days. It seems Iโm reaching my carb limits (diabetic diet) and getting in my healthy fats (better for my heart condition), but canโt seem to get the calories just right (weight loss plan). Itโs hard to coordinate the 3 diets. Iโm not choosing proper earlier in the day I think and that leaves me trying to piece it together at night. Itโs really important I mind the carbs/diabetes so once I hit those numbers Iโm pretty much struggling for enough calories without going WAY over carbs. Last night I added more nuts and white cheese but I was still shy due to my fats going through the roof. Better planning is in the works! Tonight is my DGSโs school concert so my son & I (the autistic one) plan on meeting my ex-hubby for dinner beforehand and then we will all attend the concert together. That will be nice for my son (Johnny) for sure. I am going to make today my higher calorie day and make sure I get those calories in today before my progress slows way down. Itโs a slippery slope. Like walking on a tight rope. If I go over on fat or carbs Iโm not going to panic. I seriously need those calories.

Oct 3: 173.4 ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐๐ฅ ๐ ๐๏ธ ๐ฎ The Hogwarts challenge that I am in has an assignment this week to run/jog for 20 minutes. It doesn't have to be in one session. Years ago, I did the Couch to 5K and jogged a 5k on my 50th birthday (a time when I was almost at my goal weight). I thought about doing that again, but when I tried earlier this year my knees couldn't take it. I thought I would try again when I lost 60 pounds - I'm not quite at 60, but close - I guess this was a sign that I should try again. Yesterday I did day one, and it was fun. Keeping my fingers crossed because I really did love it.

October 2: 137.0 I logged ๐ Wow, my weight can really spike up quickly. On Sept 30 I was 134.8. Now 2.2 lbs higher. But this is not a surprise. On Sept 30 my mom took me out to lunch; and the mac & cheese was sooooo bad. I just had to go home and make mac & cheese to go with dinner, the proper way, with all the butter and flour and cream cheese and buttery bread crumb topping. And I ate too much of that mac & cheese. And then yesterday we had a long party with friends, and there was a ton of great food & wine. So I overdid it there. So, now back to the plan. My goal is to get back at daily logging & daily meeting my calorie goal, AND to drink lots of water. Cycle day 1 should be right about now too, so the weight could stay here or go up again. Just going to get back to the plan and try to stick with it from here!

I never believed I could run for 3 minutes straight, so this is a huge improvement. Hopefully I won't wake up sick or something (there is sickness going through the house.)

Yes, those are the ones! They taste just a bit better than the plain candy corn -- which is I think why they sell out so fast. Still off limits here too, LOL.1 -

We are going to our 55th HS graduation reunion tomorrow. Actually, it is a multi-class reunion 60-69. We graduated in 68 so we will be the second youngest year group there. My wife and I graduated from the same class so it will be double fun catching up with our classmates. Lots of fun, food, drink and celebration to do.

10/12-185.0-(Trend Weight 186.6)- The scale is up from my zig-zag experiment and is expected. Yesterday was my highest day on the schedule and I did go over by quite a bit but I know I didnโt eat 7000 extra calories so I am okay with this. Honestly, I needed the extra calories as my week had been sketchy and difficult to manage my macros properly. This is likely fluid retention from dinner out yesterday before the school concert, glycogen refilling somewhat and no TMI for 2 days causing some pretty bad low lower stomach cramping and labor type pains. I can feel the inflammation there. Noon dismissal today and tomorrow for DGS (kindergarten) so Iโll be meeting the bus and babysitting. I donโt feel up for it though. Honestly, I just want to stay in my nightgown all day.

Years ago, I did the Couch to 5K and jogged a 5k on my 50th birthday (a time when I was almost at my goal weight). I thought about doing that again, but when I tried earlier this year my knees couldn't take it. I thought I would try again when I lost 60 pounds - I'm not quite at 60, but close - I guess this was a sign that I should try again. Yesterday I did day one, and it was fun. Keeping my fingers crossed because I really did love it.

Jumped on the scales this morning before taking off to travel to our 55 HS reunion. In HS I wrestled at the 130 Lb weight class for 4 years (9-12 grade). I was also 5'6" now I'm 5'4". Now I could wrestle in the light/heavyweight class, Ha! I also figure I'm not getting too heavy, I'm getting too short.

October 2: 137.0 I logged ๐ Wow, my weight can really spike up quickly. On Sept 30 I was 134.8. Now 2.2 lbs higher. But this is not a surprise. On Sept 30 my mom took me out to lunch; and the mac & cheese was sooooo bad. I just had to go home and make mac & cheese to go with dinner, the proper way, with all the butter and flour and cream cheese and buttery bread crumb topping. And I ate too much of that mac & cheese. And then yesterday we had a long party with friends, and there was a ton of great food & wine. So I overdid it there. So, now back to the plan. My goal is to get back at daily logging & daily meeting my calorie goal, AND to drink lots of water. Cycle day 1 should be right about now too, so the weight could stay here or go up again. Just going to get back to the plan and try to stick with it from here!

This is likely fluid retention from dinner out yesterday before the school concert, glycogen refilling somewhat and no TMI for 2 days causing some pretty bad low lower stomach cramping and labor type pains. I can feel the inflammation there. Noon dismissal today and tomorrow for DGS (kindergarten) so Iโll be meeting the bus and babysitting. I donโt feel up for it though. Honestly, I just want to stay in my nightgown all day.
10/13-185.4-(Trend Weight 186.4)- Iโll attribute my uptick to no TMI now x 3. Took some stool softeners yesterday but they have not helped produce. Lower tummy still hurting in spurts. I donโt really feel that I ate anything differently prior to the onset. I know I was low on water so I will try to drink that down today again. Itโs another cold fall day here. Gloomy with some rain expected again. Iโll have to fit in some indoor exercising again. Babysitting my DGS so I guess how much exercise I get in will be up to him.
