11/01-181.2-(Trend Weight: 184.5)- I have managed to stay out of the Halloween leftover candy so far. If it makes it until Friday evening (yes every minute counts), it will go to my teenaged grandchildren when I see them. Good luck everyone this round.
11/05-184.6-(Trend Weight: 184.2)- My scale weight is up but my trend weight is down. It certainly has been a very strange and confusing week. Some small scale gains I understand, other days it just doesn’t make sense (like this morning’s after a 1010 calorie low carb day yesterday). I’m just going with the flow I guess. It should all even itself out.

Hi, I’m Stormy back ready to weigh in and post every week for both November and December. These are typically my worst weight-gaining months. I call this the “Eating Season”. I tend to fail to the temptations during the holiday seasons. Then, when I fail, I give up and tell myself I’ll start again when the new year comes around.

Hey everyone!
First time posting in a community. My weight has gone up and down most of my life - my heaviest weight was 12st 6lbs and my lightest adult weight was 9st 13lbs. I haven't gone above 11st since I lost weight in 2020 but a holiday and over-indulgence in cakes and lattes means I've put on a little bit over the past 6 months.

I would have liked to maintain for this month, and instead I keep losing… I seem to be incapable to “stop the trend”, and that’s because I haven’t really changed a lot in my way of eating, I simply a) cut part of the sweet things, that is the excess (I have all the same two-three things a day, so I have no crave/need/desire of adding more), and b) I adopted the “plate diet”, and this different way of introducing foods satiates me a lot (I eat the same things as before, but for lunch and dinner I mix them in the same meal, instead of having a meal carbs based and the other one protein based). So I eat what I like, as before; and I eat a lot (five days at about 1700 calories/day, and two at 2000/2200 – that are pizza days and burger days). I really cannot add further food, I wouldn’t be able to eat it!!
Ditto for the movement: I only walk. A lot, yes, about 20k steps/day, but again, I did it also before, and I really enjoy it, it relaxes me and I don’t want to renounce!
So, for now I’ll keep doing what I do, it’s my lifestyle, not a diet; anyway, my ultimate goal is 52-54 kg, so for now no problem if I keep losing… my only fear is that too fast is no good, I know, the risk is to re-gain, slow would be better* (and the other fear is that I don’t know how to maintain… but hopefully the plateau is around the corner, no?)
[* ten years ago I lost more than 7 kgs in a whole year and I never regained them (from 71 kg to 63.6).
* On the contrary, three years ago I've lost other 7 kgs but in only 5 months (from 63.6 to 56.6), and I've re-gained them in the next 5 months, and there they had been, for years, until the last March.]

Forever goals:
* above all, "plate diet" (as we’ve always had, in fact; only one memo: remember adding a lot of vegetables also when dinner consists of pastasciutta or pizza)
* drink drink drink (water, obv. 😉 )
* be consistent with movement (walking, about 20k steps/day)
* be consistent with the sweet things (only two/three things a day: one caffee’s croissant - or muffin or slice of cake at home, if I bake them - for breakfast; and one or two biscuits in the afternoons /or/ evenings)

haha, today's weight is below my November goal weight, but I don't have a large calorie deficit, so that number is not firm. My goal for November is to be consistently below 163. I don't normally "lose" two pounds a week, but with daily weight fluctuations it can look like that.11 -
