Good morning!
Heather ... how frustrating that your appointment was canceled! Unacceptable really ...
Michele ... $22,000 is a lot of money!
Margaret ... thinking about you this morning ... how are you?
Hoping to do some outdoor yard cleanup this morning before the weather changes later today. It will just be a start. We have a large tree that sheds small broken branches each winter. Branches small enough we rake them into piles. It's a pain but I like the tree in the summer.

Thank you Barbie for keeping us going. I am up to page one of this month, but wanted to check in.
Ended up working yesterday as had a person call in. So I had to reschedule my morning dermatology and did leave early for my heart doctor appointment. The monitor I wore showed 17 times my heart rate went up and the highest 171. Also my laxis is not working, so they have put me on a different pill and something for my heart rate. Then I go in the 29th for tests to see if things are working better.
It was interesting birthday weekend. We had the bike show on Saturday and it got shut down as acouple of the motorcycle clubs could not play nice and the police had to come shut it down. In the 19 years they have had this show this is a first.
Then a guy in a small town about 15 miles away going thur a nasty divorce decided to blow his house up with him inside. I understand the wife got away, but it affected alot of houses with blown out windows and damage. Sad for all those.
Barbara--The note to Katla is very nice and thank you for adding me. I do miss her and wonder how they are doing and if her husband got better to live with her again.

I got myself all drugged up and had a nap of about 50 minutes in preparation for going out to pick up Bea.
When I woke up it was pouring with rain, with no let up in sight!!!
I had written a letter to the doctor to drop off before I caught the bus. It's right by the surgery.
John said he was worried about me walking over a mile in the rain, with only soaking wet benches to sit down on, and having to hold up an umbrella. I cried with frustration and feeling guilty about not being there for the pickup and seeing all of the family at home. He said he would be more worried about me, which would make it worse for him. So that decided me. Walking with an umbrella is hard, and I have to sit down every 50 yards. He told me to be sensible. I can understand that it would worry him.
So, I am staying at home, and my valiant husband is going out in the rain by himself. He is taking my letter, to hand over to the receptionist. In return, I will be here to make dinner, which he was going to do. Lincolnshire sausages, leeks, and green beans. Lots of mustard.
He has been so sweet and understanding.

Well, yesterday was a bust. I got to the Renal doc’s office to find the appointment was for April, not March. I know they called me to schedule it earlier than I thought so must of thought an earlier appointment. Oh, well, today is Therapist. I ended up going to sonic and got some chicken nuggets and onion rings for lunch (I know, I know,….) then went to Walmart to get rum and soda for DH. I did get myself a couple of capri pants for this time of year. All I had were shorts, which I need to go through and eliminate some of the ‘shorter’ ones.
I have been diagnosed with both generalized anxiety and depression. I would love to see your finished project. Can you PM me Tracy? I’ve not been in a good place lately, glad I’m seeing therapist today…. Eating way too much junk!

Hi everyone
Ok, I'm ready to get off the roller coaster now.... Please.
I had quite the scare yesterday! My doctor had me come in for a check up, because I was still experiencing problems with shortness of breath, dizziness and lightheadedness, and nausea with any exertion. Once I stop and sit down to rest for a minute or two, the problems go away. Since it had been going on for a month, she wanted to get to the bottom of it. As soon as I got there she did an EKG, and, "Saw something she didn't like." 😮 Not exactly the words you want to hear your doctor say. She tried to explain it to me, but I got lost about half way through her explanation. But basically my heart isn't beating right on the second beat.
So off she sent me to the ER, to make sure there wasn't any damage to my heart or blood clots. After blood tests, another EKG, a CAT Scan with contrast, and 4 hours of waiting for test results, there doesn't seem to be any physical damage to my heart. But now I have appointments to see a cardiologist next week, and have a stress test and echocardiogram at the hospital the week after that. Not the best start to the week, but I'm trying not to let it stress me too badly. At least I was still able to stick to my diet and track everything, even after my husband and I, being mentally and physically exhausted, didn't get home till 10:00 last night.
Well, today is a new day. I’m going to make it a good one. ☀️

Good morning ladies!
Lisa - to be honest, I only watched the first half of that video with Michael Easter a month or so ago because I decided I wanted to read the book. And something else probably caught my attention. I'm about 1/3 of the way through it. If I get time I'll watch the video all the way through. Doubt I'd be much good on a podcast, I'd goof off too much. But maybe people would like that.
Michele - I can easily change course with that teleporter. La Reunion sounds like a beautiful place - I'm curious - how did Bryan end up there?
Heather - I am so sorry that pain is disabling you so much.
Rita - sorry about that renal doc appt mix-up. But your lunch sounded yummy! Thanks for the teleporter memories. I am so anxious to see and try out the newer version.
Adventures at the foot doc yesterday:
First, the good news. I don't need new orthotics so saved myself $500 right off the bat. And when he pulled up the X-Rays, I got to see where my little toe had broken and the seam where it had so nicely healed. That thing cleaved right off above the joint. Good job, Netters.
Second, he's puzzled. When I made the appointment a month ago, my concern was my curling toes, like hammertoes, starting to develop. Thought maybe I just needed new orthotics or some PT/taping, etc., to move them back into place.
I waited an hour for him in the waiting room. The place is being remodeled - they must have gotten the waiting room chairs out of a dumpster. Hard, padding gone. But I kept myself entertained. By the time I got back into the exam room, and took off my sock, my right foot/toes were very swollen, painful, and red. This NEVER happens at home.
Well, that's what he was interested in. Thought it might be a circulatory problem, but strong pulse in that foot/ankle. No PAD. Then, maybe a type of rheumatoid arthritis. Mmmmkay. I told him the area/toes are generally a little swollen but never like this. Anyhow, he ordered a bunch of labs and said OK to have the blood drawn at my regular clinic if I wanted, much cheaper there. Said if nothing shows up he'll order an MRI. They have an "open" MRI there, probably because most of the problems they treat are in extremities.
In the meantime, cut back on the walking, keep it propped up and iced from time to time.
So I took the lab order down to my regular clinic down the road, explained it was from Dr. D, they said looks like no problem, they'd call me to get the blood draw scheduled. When I got home, I thought maybe I should just see Dr. Lisa because she might want other labs done.
When I went to book the appointment online, she's booked 2 weeks out but I could get in to see the other doc, who I've seen before (he was DH's doc) and hopefully can get in Thursday.
While I was sitting in the exam room waiting for Dr. D, my Fire tablet dinged and there were several emails from McAfee telling me they'd charged me $216 for protection renewal (shocking because I'd just renewed it in January and the cheaper version with fewer bells and whistles, for $99.) And Visa warning me this looked like it could be a fraudulent charge. So I really wanted to get out of there and go home, get on the laptop and try to figure this out.
I called McAfee and spoke to some gal with such a heavy accent, I could only understand about 10% of what she said. I told her to slow down, I couldn't understand her. That didn't help, she must have thought I told her to speed up. She was unable to come up with a decent explanation so I told her in a very loud voice to CANCEL the F-bomb charge for $216. NOW! I try not to revert to that language but I was at my wit's end. Funny, she understood that right away. She probably hears this all day.
I'll just be more attentive to doing back-ups on this laptop and take my chances that the extra fancy version I cancelled - which, from what I gather, was to cover ALL my devices (I only have one, this laptop) and special options that I'd probably be interested in if I had a family and was streaming stuff in places other than my house and my own wi-fi. But I don't.
Uh oh, FB is acting up, wants me to set a new password for some reason. Then it doesn't. Back in a bit

Today’s gratitude: warmer temps melted the last of the hail and snow. Still drippy and damp. Power continues to be on so might get some more laundry done today ;}
Despite yesterday’s activity and CI<CO, weight up almost a pound this morning. Why? Late dinner. Came home so pooped had to nap, meant dinner at 7ish instead of 5ish. Foo.
Heather, just read your NP appointment was cancelled. Ugh. Then your description of the debilitating, unrelenting pain. ((gentle hugs)) Is it possible to go back to the Sports clinic that helped you before? Is there a long wait for an initial evaluation? The pain shrieks through your writing. Understand how you want to do ANYTHING (including cancelling the cruises) to move forward, but please try to avoide making decisions while you’re mad with pain. Whooshing you love, calm, answers and relief.
Lisa brava for your good attitude about all the test results. Whooshing hurry up energy to the VA.
Lanette your teleporter comments always make me smile “I'm going to send Elon Musk another terse email. “ You GO girl! Hmm, unusual swelling? Hope Dr. D and tests lead to a quick and easy resolution to that and your foot pain. ((hugs)) for the “walk less” rX.
Teri you’re in!
Michele added your note. $22K assessment? That would be impossible for many. Could the board get an improvement loan secured by the property and add the monthly payments to the HOA fee?
Tracey is there any way you could self-refer to a PT for your plantars fasciitis? There’s not much time before your practicum starts but its amazing what PT can do. If not, Bob and Mike (replaced Brad) offer this: https://youtu.be/qyOgFrWq1eY?t=2 Was particularly interested in the “gait” discussion beginning at 9:49. What you said about greed, corruption and the suffering of common folk.
Machka your most recent coloring is hypnotic!
Vicki Wow. More excitement than you were looking for your birthdays celebration. Fingers X’d the new meds work better.
Rita thankful you’ll see therapist today. ((hugs)) Poutine no , cheese doodles yes!

Today’s gratitude: the Katla project. Scrolling through all the profile pics, the love just shines out, warms my heart and lifts my spirits. Think I’ll keep a copy on my desktop for when I need a boost… or pip’s boot! Thank you ALL for participating.
Kim you’re in too!
Machka I get mad whenever you tell us about the back-to-work person. Please tell me she’s totally out of your lives now? Lord have mercy on her other “clielnts”.
Heather That much pain just doesn’t sound right. ((hugs)) While you know your own body best, hoping a prompt, real, professional examination elicits a helpful diagnosis. Do you have an appointment? Edie and Max really shot up quickly! Like your first and second steps, hope that helps you sleep.
Likewise Annie, good for you for preparing for the future, whatever it will bring.
Michele re: Katla will do. Glad the leg finally stopped oozing. Safe travels!
Lanette sometimes a song just catches me, brings a tear. That In the Shallows clip was one. Like you now I’ll keep an eye out for “A Star is Born”
Rebecca cilantro, ugh. Might as well grate up some Irish Spring. The Sorfrito I had tasted more of garlic, red pepper, dried tomato. Label says there’s also parsley, rosemary and sage. No cilantro :noway:
Just skimmin’ back later.

Oh a fellow cilantro despiser.....💖👍🏼 its definitely as bright green as Irish Spring huh? Easy to spot the offensively leaved suckers! I do like to mix jars of bruschetta, the olive and sun dried tomato ones! Then adding garlic and sauted onion. I add it to soups, put on sandwiches, not just on toasted bread with a slice of cheese.
I sang your label...parsley, rosemary and saaaaage, in my head.

The drug combo i took in prep for the Bea pick up worked great at home. But I don't want to take that often. I'm not supposed to take much ibuprofen on my BP meds.
My son came in with John when he brought him home. That was nice. He really had no idea that I had had hip pain on walking for years. He has all sorts of joint and foot problems, but rheumatic. Mortons Neuroma. Edie has foot and ankle problems. Hypermobility, which I had when I was young. Her ankle often aches after football.
It was sweet of him to take the time and he kept trying to reassure me.
My ex is going to have to go on dialysis or on some new kind of nightly water wash out. No, I don't know what that is, but I will look it up. One alternative is home dialysis.
We are looking after the girls this Thursday evening, so that the parents can go to Max's Parents Evening. Next week we are having Edie while they go to Bea's theatre performance in Eastbourne. All good.
It's Bea's birthday next week, with a restaurant meal, and also a meet up with my Cornwall friend, so busy, busy.
Watching the Hairy Bikers on TV.

(((Heather)))
(((Michelle))) I have a friend here who has a similar problem with her son. They have not spoken in years. He did marry and his wife did want to reach out but she stopped in respect to him. It is interesting that he became a counselor. Her children lost their father to a dementia type illness brought on by heavy exposure to toxic materials in his job. Her boys were young when this happened. I didn't know my friend during this period but I am sure it was awful and she had to work full time to support the family financially. I feel for her and for him for whatever caused the rift.
Listening to her I know how painful this is. She like you will not rock the boat and lose any progress she has made with her son. She keeps herself active with her own life and wishes her son well in her prayers.
(((PIP))) If it is AFib very treatable. Do you have fatigue too? This is common with AFib but not always present. As hard as it is best to keep mind busy on other things if you can and do things for you that help you stay calm.
Beth thank you. I am enjoying my volunteering in the third grade, my choir we sang a gorgeous anthem last Sunday Revelations, missed the painting group this week because I got a new frig for son's house. Good thing I skipped the group because they came an hour early and I didn't know it because I keep my phone off when not in use. Going down tomorrow to see my son and play game of Scrabble. DrewB is my cuddle buddy. Today a cousin is coming over for tea. I also got my Taxes in and found out I will also get to file jointly for this year too which was a relief.
I did learn that the sooner you can file for survivor benefits the better. I waited forty-five minutes on the phone to try to make an appointment at an office. (I put on speaker and continued to work on the computer) Turns out they make a phone appointment with you. It will be a month and a half out. Fortunately I saved last year so my cash flow will be fine while I wait for this to get resolved.
So life is pulling me forward and as I told the coroner between DH and son I have been grieving for 15 years. I still grieve but I do not let it keep me from enjoying my life. My new eating habits and reducing exposure to toxins is also helping me feel strong.
Margaret

Looks like it was a global outage with facebook and messenger according to our news networks. Mine seems to be working fine.
April good there doesn't appear to be any physical damage to your heart. Hopefully after the cardiologist appointment you will have a better idea of what is going on. Very stressful for sure.
Lanette, that must be irritating re McAfee. Hopefully they will reverse the charge.
Worked on income tax this morning. Got it mostly figured out. Frigid here again this morning.
