Annie, Joy, Heather, Ginny, Vicki, Tracey, Lanette, Michele: Thank you 💕 (Forgive me if I missed anyone) (((hug)))
Annie: Thanks for the reminder! I need to get my monthly bills paid!
Heather: I am so sorry to hear about the pain you are in, and your NP appointment was canceled. So frustrating!
Lanette: I sure hope the feet swelling just turns out to be, from having to sit on a hard chair. Maybe it was restricting the blood flow/lymph drainage in your legs? I have been under a lot of stress lately. (Not just with my son) I did mention that to my doctor, but she said she would rather be safe than sorry.
(((Margaret)))
Rita: Congrats on 7 months being sober. And Vicki: Congrats on 17 years of sobriety!
Welcome Florinda!
Today’s gratitude: My husband made such a wonderful pot of vegetable beef soup tonight, I had two bowls! 😋
And for the cilantro debate, I love the stuff! 😊

Cilantro is AWESOME!!!!
LOL In class one afternoon, I made some comment about how Cilantro was the worst tasting thing ever, and the class was divided. Half of the class, or more, were ready to defend it to the end; the other half agreed with me. It's funny how it is a food that is either an all or nothing thing. You either love it or hate it. There's no, "it's okay."

SophieRosieMom wrote: »April - so sorry to hear about your heart problems. Seems like sometimes these things just happen - you've been under a LOT of stress and anxiety lately. Our bodies are so good at healing, hoping the cardiologist and the stress test/echo show things have cleared up. Good to get this checked out, for sure. Thank you for keeping us in the loop!
Vicki - sorry the bike show didn't pan out. People are out of control these days it seems. Hope they can get your heart under control.
Debbie - Happy Early Birthday!
Michele - that's a whopping assessment. I'm sure too much for many people to bear.
Has anyone heard from Kylia? Missing her. Maybe Ginny has been in touch.
Ginny - sounds like you'll be all ready for your company. I believe you said they are looking to move back to Ohio?
After the Facebook kerfuffle died down, I did go ahead and change my password on everything just in case a hacker was busy. I don't go onto Facebook much anymore but like to keep Messenger open.
McAfee applied the credit almost immediately yesterday, I checked my Visa. But when I look at my McAfee account, it shows it was renewed until April of 2025? I must have scared the wits out of that gal, lol. I have a hunch it will catch up. Thinking of buying a whole new laptop this year, eventually retiring this one. I'll check into a different anti-virus. Yesterday was the third "encounter" I've had with McAfee over the past couple years. All of the big anti-virus programs are probably just as frustrating to deal with.
All of this anti-virus shopping gives me major decision fatigue in a matter of minutes!

I'm an "it's OK " with cilantro. I can take it or leave it.2 -
We call cilantro, 'fresh coriander'. In some dishes, it is indispensable, and delicious, but I don't like it used inappropriately. There was a tendency, a few years ago, to stick it in anything. In the right place, I love it.

Not the comment(s) I was referring to. But thanks.

Celebrating!
- new lenses that make everything crisp and clear
- beautiful blue sky
- nice warm temperature
- light wind!
Navigating
- the slight seasick feeling new lenses give me.
- the fact that my left eye (the one that sees double or doesn't align correctly) is tired. Guessing that's because of the prisms in my new lenses
This site says the following about getting used to prism glasses ... and it's true!
https://www.oscarwylee.com.au/guides/lenses/prism-glasses.html
"Be aware that because of the improvement to your depth perception, you may initially feel strange as your awareness of your body in the space around you is different."

Good morning ladies!
It's four am and I'm not just awake, but mentally rehashing my divorce, which means not sleepy at all. I need to stay up later so I can sleep later. Oh, and I did have that coffee yesterday.
It's supposed to rain all day. So it will be easy to take a nap.
I found a reference for prescription terminology and made some flashcards. This is hard because there is no set list of vocabulary. But I'm getting more familiar with it.
Have a great day ladies!

This evening ...
- walked Rhody
- coloured
- recreated a frustrating Sudoku in Excel and finished it. I had made a mistake on the first go, and with all my scribbling, couldn't "see" it. When I popped it into Excel, it came together quite nicely.

I've treated myself with a three-quarter sleeve T shirt from M&S. Navy, slash neck. It's incredibly cheap, but there's postage. Their T shirts are good quality and I thought it would be a good weight for Spring in Europe.
I had my eye on an outrageously priced t shirt from another company, but can't justify the price. Plus it was a more silky material and might have shown up my lumps and bumps.
I do still very much need a couple of short sleeves. I prefer them longer in the sleeve, elbow length, but they are more difficult to find.
Happy to treat myself to something. I rarely buy clothes.
Haven't heard anything about an X-ray from the doctor. I also rang the hospital physio dept this morning, left a message, but have heard nothing back.
I am probably going to go straight to private physio. My son swears by the one he goes to who has treated Olympic athletes.
I would like an X-ray first though, just to rule things out. We have a very accessible walk in centre near here, so all I need is a referral.
I limped out to the shops this morning. Bought mozzarella for homemade pizza tonight.
I also posted my poo-stick test back to the test centre. It's a much improved version from how it used to be. We get them every two years, and don't do routine colonoscopies.
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxx4 -
Debbie I called before eight in the morning to Social Security and it still took 45 minutes to talk to someone. I am posting a few things about the financial process that I think will help some of you who might be facing the same thing. I thought I was going to go to an office. NO! They set up a time they will call you and then I will find out if it goes retroactive to the time of his death. One thing to remember to is there is a one month lag time even when the benefits start. So this is why I recommend men or women have at least 3 month of savings that will help cover the loss of this income.
I also will say again know where your loved ones user name and password for important accounts. Especially a phone if it is used in two step verification. What worries me are the ones that are set up with facial recognition or fingerprint. By the same token make sure your loved one has your info too. Just make sure you find a safe place to store this info and do not tell anyone but your loved one who needs this info.
I like cilantro cooked...raw it tastes like soap to me. So no cilantro in a salad for me. In chili yes!

Hi. I did my fifteen minutes on my bike and ten minutes walking! Yay!

Flea just wondering how your DH's new job is working out. It sounded when you wrote that it might be something just up his alley.
Darn, I did goof up and owe taxes this year. I was okay on 2022 taxes because I could file married filing jointly. I changed all my withholding for 2023 so I wouldn't owe and still owed because I didn't have enough withheld. GRRR! Live and learn. Taxes are done and I paid the penalty and taxes owed and a lesson learned.

Cilantro lover here! married to a cilantro hater. lol SO...it is served on the side for most dishes. As Heather stated, it doesn't belong on everything!
Three days before the grands are here! Whoot!8 -
Morning, all, from my bright sunny Arkansas morning in the River Valley,
Slept nearly 9 hours last night, and I can feel the difference. Yesterday was kind of urky, but today is already a better day. Time to make like Annie and get my exercising done, then get outside and get things done before my afternoon acupuncture. Tomorrow early morning is the heart stress test, and no coffee before. I would call that stress all by itself... but I can put an iced coffee in the car and have it as soon as I get done with the test. I'll survive. Probably. Won't be happy, but I'll survive. 👀😈😀 At least I can take myself to this one, they're not knocking me out. That will be the next month.
Later,
Love y'all!

Annie, well done on your continued exercise regime. I'm waiting for our bit of snow to go so I can get out and do more walking. Another frigid morning here but should be the last as we are going into a warming trend.
Will be getting back to my income tax this morning and hopefully complete it. I think I can transfer some of DH's unused credits to me to avoid paying.
Made a new fried rice recipe yesterday that turned out well. It was baked in the oven instead of stove top.....so easy and less work.

RE: The McAfee charges I don’t use this product but still get charges and even receipts for payment. Turns out a hack that has been around a while. I just delete them as I know I don’t use it and didn’t pay anything. Also, they don’t have my charge card so can’t charge me anyway. If they do, I know it is fake and can get it reversed by card company.
BTW, I use FREE antivirus/VPN/email scanner called AVAST if anyone is interested…
Lanette You mentioned sitting in bad chairs, perhaps a back issue caused the swelling? I bulged disk can sit on a nerve and cause weird things to happen to your feet and legs.
