I don’t have any pictures of my first wedding, gave them all to my oldest daughter along with the dress. Not sure what happened to that, but my uncle had made it in 1972, he was/is a tailor and spend $1000 for material back then! I can’t imagine what that dress would have cost today! I wish I had kept at least 1 picture of me in that dress. Boo. My second wedding was very laid back and I simply had a skirt and top, nothing fancy. We wanted it that way.

Had these pictures from Vince’s family. Been waiting for months for Vince to go thru them so I finally did. Then he did. Finally talked him into sending a lot of them to his cousin in MO, she may know some of them. Went thru some that he kept. Contrary to his opinion, we really don’t need 4 pictures of the same people, so I’m going to throw some of them out without telling him.

I would never throw out my husband's photos. At the very least, scan them first.
My husband and I respect each other's stuff ... we don't throw out anything that belongs to the other. We only declutter our own stuff. Or joint expired items in the fridge.
Machka in Oz
My feelings about other people’s ‘stuff’ exactly. There is a lot of things my DH has that I would dispose of, but I leave it up to him.

Caught up....
Mountains, beverages, candy, shopping, visiting, resting, Anakeesta, walking, eating....perfect vacation!
Rough start getting on the road, but made it safely. Contractor was here working on bathroom until 1130pm! It was worth his dedication and one night up late!
This is where the old shower was! Yes that size
New shower! This use to be toilet and a closet. It is awesome!
Not a lot of cars in town, but we are still having a great time.
Prayers for all touched by school shooting. It is awful!
I will add wedding dress pics at later date. My first was 1980s. David's Bridal. All lace, high neck, long sleeves. Both my daughters and grand daughters used it for dress up. My second is off white, flowy, think beach. Criss cross back with bow. Oldest wore it a few years later for vowel renewal. I keep thinking I may have it altered into something I will wear more but.....I still have two granddaughter's that might (?) Wear it....for now it stays in closet. Actually old one may still be in barn.
Gotta get day going!
Hugs!
Healing thoughts!
And congratulations on all the healthy choices and results!

Jumping on the bandwagon. Late 80’s wedding for us.

I need to get a handle on how much food I’ve been eating! Eating healthy but too big of portions and feeling it! Anyway, yesterday’s dinner: chicken thigh, stuffing (1/4 cup), corn on the cob, carrots a couple pan fried potatoes and a pork egg roll which made me sick. I had 2 pieces of corn, and an extra 1/2 cup of carrots. Breakfast yesterday and today was muesli with Greek yogurt and 1/4 cup raspberries, and a banana. Supper was crackers and hummus, orange and peach for snacks.

I’ve not been in the best of moods yesterday and today. Yesterday I called my mom and she is bedridden and passing (TMI) blood in her stools. Felling exhausted and can’t see a doctor until Monday. My sister said she may bring my mom to the ER before then. Then this morning, Browning had a heart attack outside during her morning walk. She did recover, but looking and acting sick. This was a bad one. Just a matter of time. Worried about both. Mom is in CT, 2,000 miles away, and well Brownie is under my feet. I went for a long walk in a new area this morning with ankle weights and a hand weight. It was calming and nice to see different things. Pictures in spoiler of my fur babies and the BLM wetlands area. I did see a Snowy White Large Egret there. Those are rare sightings! No picture though, it took off before I could get it.

OKIE ~ You look beautiful in your wedding gown and what lovely flowers.
Rita ~ So sorry about Brownie. Hope your mom gets better. How old is she?
Missing Rosemarie! Don't know when she last checked in.

Lanette--I find the information you are sharing from you class is helpful. Thank you for sharing. And I agree it is a no brainer , but some of us (me) need reminders a lot. Cute cats playing on the tablet.
Katiebug--That is so sad about the shooting. I agree parents need to be held acountable when they give acess to guns. What a mess.
Heather--WOW! What a nice change.
Rita--Hugs for you and Brownie. Prayers for your mom and Brownie.
I am so glad it is Friday. Have a few plans for the weekend. Will see how tried I am if I do anything.

So pretty! The colors for my first wedding were the same shades of blue and purple. I still love those colors together.

Monique - great job on the labs! Is your foot all healed up?
Kylia - your vacation looks great! Thank you for sharing the photos. Nice bathroom!
Rita - praying for the best outcome for your mom, and Brownie too. Your meal looked yummy - good job walking with weights! You mentioned a day or two ago about looking for a rent-to-buy place. Have you run across any areas that look appealing?
Carol - good luck finding hearing aids that work for you!
Allie - does SMiles know he's getting a little sister soon?
Vicki - I also need constant reminders. Thankful for what Rita and others share in this group. I feel like I'm getting much, much more support here than I ever got from a WW meeting.
Ladies, I'm still enjoying your wedding photos and stories. Fun to see the fashions in those days, and the hair styles. Thank you so much for sharing everything and taking us down memory lane with you.
Still awfully warm - there's smoke in the atmosphere which is blocking the sun a bit. I can't smell it, but see haze.

Interesting research on UTIs.
E coli from meat behind half a million UTIs in the US every year, study suggests
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/mar/23/e-coli-meat-half-a-million-uti-urniary-tract-infection-us
I've not had one yet, although I imagine my time will eventually come. However, perhaps my meat avoidance helps avoid UTIs!

As you know, we stay home and keep to ourselves most of the time and going out is a huge disruption for us. Jake's son and his girlfriend are driving up from Oregon for a visit. They'll arrive late tonight and stay in an Airbnb. They'll pick Jake up in the morning to go out to breakfast then come back to the house for the day. I don't know how long they'll stay at our house but they plan to drive back on Sunday. I've planned a simple chicken meal with a few sides. Jake wanted pie so we put in a small grocery order to QFC yesterday with pie and ice cream and cheese and crackers and picked it up at 6:30 which is usually the time we're getting ready for bed. Today Annie had her annual wellness exam and vaccines at the vet which was scary and traumatic for all of us. So just to make it worse, I made appointments for Jake and me for Monday morning to get flu and covid vaccines. All that and the fact that I have to drive with Jake giving me helpful pointers has been a bit unsettling. I love our usual do nothing life.
I have enjoyed all the wedding pictures. I didn't have friends when I was in high school and college so I didn't get invited to weddings.

Flea – don’t worry, I’m not throwing out all of my husband’s family pictures. But 4 of the exact same picture???? You really only need one copy of the same thing. Remember that years ago when cameras first came out, people would take 2 and 3 pictures of the same thing because not every picture developed.
katie – glad to hear that the father has been charged. To think that a gun is a gift!
Worked then the soup kitchen. I was in the stockroom today putting things away. They just had a “parade of canned goods” so there were a lot that needed to be put away. All the peas together, all the green beans together, etc. It did look like I made a dent in some of the canned goods, but they are still weighing the donations so I couldn’t do them all. Then Vince and I went and planted the one plant. Well, I planted it. Just hope it lives! I did need his help getting the old plant out of the ground. Actually, what we wound up doing is pulling it out of the ground with a strap tied to the car. Need to go to WalMart tonight to get some tomatoes for tomorrow (Jess should be here, maybe I can get her to help me put down fertilizer). I would like to get the weed killer so we can get started on that, it needs to be done pretty soon. Update: we did go to Lowes Hardware and I got the weed killer then to WalMart and got a few things
Heather – absolutely lovely
Monique – happy anniversary. Great drop in blood work numbers
Carol – I thought everyone who owned guns had a safe! We have a huge safe for Vince’s guns.
Annie – I won’t actually be taking the class. See, I have these downloadable workouts on my phone, so I’ll just go into the class with my headphones. Then, after getting all sweaty, I’ll do what the instructor does – go in the pool.
Okie – love the stark contrast your flowers were against the dress. Actually, love seeing everyone’s pics
Rita – if I have more than just a small bite of anything deep fried, my stomach says “I don’t think so” so I hear ya. Prayers for your mom and Brownie
barbie – why was Annie’s visit to the vet scary?

Michele,Annie's visit to the vet was scary because she doesn't go places except on her walk and there were many other dogs in the waiting room, she had to stand on the scale, and she got a thorough exam and several vaccines. It was very strange and different for her.

Machka - The boss looks quite comfortable.
Debbie - At least you’ll have the room for yourself for next visit after getting it cleaned this one.
Terri - What beautiful dresses.
Heather - I love your new flooring! It looks so fresh.
So many beautiful weddings and brides. What fond memories it is bringing up.
Rita - Hugs to you, it’s been a rough couple days.
I am going a scrapbooking crop this weekend. I came home from work long enough to grab my stuff and leave. Tomorrow it’s from 10-9
Tracey in Edmonton3 -
Tracey- I am looking forward to having the room back but it hasn't been too bad lately- I took mom's bed beings she has been sleeping in her recliner-says she sleeps better in there.
Have fun scrapbooking. I haven't done any in years. Did really enjoy it when I did- so many cute pictures of son when he was little.
Had a good day exercise wise. Walked MIL's dog longer than planned. Dh told me as we were pulling up to her house that she had PT coming out in a half hour. They prefer not to have the dog there during pt because he gets in the way, so, walked the long way, got back to the house and he had just gotten there so we walked some more. It was getting pretty warm so we went back and sat on the steps until they were done. Irritated that dh waited to say something until we got there(I may have just stayed home and not gone over if I had known but dog needs to get out and walk)- Walked the wetlands- again- beautiful but the last 15 min of that hour were rough. It was hot, very little breeze, none is some spots, no shade, and I don't take water with me while I walk. I had some in the car-no bathrooms so don't want to have to find a bush.
Aqua zumba plus laps before and after-
Just hit 20,000 steps for the day. Haven't done that in quite a while.
Going to head for bed a bit early- up at 5:30, out the door by 6 to meet mom at the church to help with the food program. Even with the hour and a half drive, I still get an extra hour and a half sleep
She gets up at 4 to be there extra early to set up her spot(she gives out all the desserts)
Have a wonderful weekend ladies.
I will check back in when I get back home on Monday.
Debbie
