Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 20 minute spin into 2.0 Lower Body 2 with the bonus exercises. My legs were feeling that workout for sure.

Thelma, no doubt you are anxious to get back to your workouts. I hope the visit has continued to go well, though.

Last night I finally got a chance to talk to DH more about his trip to NC. He said as far south as Greenville, SC they were seeing power outages and downed trees. I can’t imagine the destruction further north. His co-worker and wife ran to them when they arrived. It really sounds like they are pretty traumatized by the experience. I know I would be. But the co-worker is going to try to write everything down about their experience, just so they don’t forget it. I think that is wonderful, especially so they can share a bit of it with their daughter (still yet to be born) as she is growing up. I’m just so glad my DH could help get them out of there. My heart is breaking for everybody who lost everything and there are so many of them.

About the strike, the one food I saw would be impacted is bananas. Other than that, it looks to be things like cars and such. But I’m not sure if that will keep people from panic buying. I guess I’ll find out when we go grocery shopping this week.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, my workout on Wednesday was walking, a lot of walking! I got my indoor walking workout in the morning. In the afternoon I took my SIL to downtown BR to see all the shops. She had a great time looking at all the stuff. They are leaving early Thursday morning.

I think my BIL/SIL had a very relaxing vacation. My SIL got to sleep longer than she has in 20 years, which is a good thing. They got to enjoy our zoo. We call the chickens 'girls' and it was funny to hear them say 'hi girls!' when they saw them. LOL

My SIL and I hit Walmart in the afternoon and I'm happy to report that they had plenty of food. The dairy case and the flour area were the only things I saw they were low on. They only had three bags of White Lily bread flour left. Luckily, I'd been experimenting with this flour because it's cheaper and it seems to be the preferred flour here in the South.

I am traumatized just watching the destruction on the videos people post online. I can't imagine what it would be like living through the horror of this tragedy. I bet that couple was so thankful to have your DH and co-worker rescue them. What a great idea for the husband to document the experience for his baby girl. I think it was so incredibly kind, selfless and heroic of your DH and co-worker to put themselves at risk to go rescue that couple.

I heard about bananas, too. The other thing we get from China are most of our medicines. They definitely make all of our antibiotics.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Upper Body 2 and Cathe Live Mixed Impact HiiT and Bonus Abs. My legs were still fried from yesterday and now my arms are fried. Good thing I have a recovery day tomorrow. :)

Thelma, I am glad you were able to get out with your SIL yesterday to enjoy the day in Blue Ridge. I am also glad to hear you have food on your shelves. I heard on the local news this morning that there are empty shelves in places here in town, but from the photos it looks to be mostly paper products. I guess that COVID buying is still in the minds of some people, which I understand. At least they are beginning to explain what may be impacted by the strike a little better. I did see they carved out an exception for pharmaceuticals, which is good.

Some of the images coming out of NC and Tennessee right now really are horrifying. It is going to take weeks if not months to even begin rebuilding, and my heart breaks for all those people who lost everything. I can’t even begin to imagine the shock they are in and, on top of that, many are still without water or power and will be for several more days. Just so sad.

DH is taking a day off tomorrow so I probably won’t be here. So I will say ‘enjoy the weekend!’ Today.

Hi ladies! Thursday's workouts were walking and warm Yinyasa. It will take me a couple of days to recover from my in-law's visit. I'm exhausted! They left early Thursday morning, so we had to get up extra early and since I was awake, I started vacuuming the entire house and doing laundry.

Our Walmart and the ones in neighboring towns ran out of dairy products, water and paper products. The shelves were completely empty. I'm so glad I went food shopping on Wednesday! Thankfully, the port strike is over for now.

I just checked the drought map, and all that rain got us completely out of the drought conditions. This is bittersweet. There's no rain in our forecast for the next ten days, though.

Laurel, awesome job with those workouts!! Thank goodness for recovery days!

My SIL really enjoyed our little outing. Our fridge and freezers are full. I'm so thankful! I'm also thankful that I've learned to make bread. I stocked up on flour, too.
COVID buying is going to be in people's minds for generations to come.

Those images are really horrifying and heart breaking. I don't know how people are going to rebuild without help. Apparently, our government doesn't have the budget to help them because they allocated millions to other things.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi ladies, I hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was nice and busy as always.
My workouts on Friday were yoga and walking.
    Saturday walking.
Sunday walking and CG Beastmode Day 9 Full Body. I wish Beastmode was longer than 10 workouts.

    Have a great week!

    Morning Ladies,

My Mom is doing really good with the surgery. They still do not want her to bend over, so we practiced putting on her shoes and pants. The doctor was please with her walking, and said that she can start incorporating the cane more. DH is gone this week, and at the end of the week we will have the grandson to take care of. Can't believe how busy it has been.

Before we left to help Mom we did Epic Heat Day 19 Full Body and Day 20 Total Tabata Full Body. The tabata was a tough one. On Saturday I didn't want to start up just one workout of Caroline's so we did PHA 2. This one moved a bit faster than DH is used to, but it worked out fine. This morning I did Jessica's Lower Body Strength workout. This one was a barre type workout.

Laurel, Great job with all the workouts! Your DH is truly a great person, and I'm very happy to hear that they where able to help that young couple. Can't even imagine being in that situation, and all the devastation that happened.

Thelma, Glad to hear that your in-law's enjoyed their visit. Awesome job with not getting involved in a board game. I know that there are only a few types of games that I enjoy playing, and most of them involve playing cards. I actually made some oatmeal bread on Saturday. This is a recipe that my mom got from her grandmother. My mom has made if for years, but this was my first attempt at making it.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours was good. On Friday we took the opportunity to go to an Autumn Festival in town about an hour south of us, and it was a fun day out. Saturday and Sunday were spent on long overdue house maintenance projects. The weather was pretty warm and dry all days, which was good given what we were doing.

For workouts, on Friday I did a 20 minute recovery spin and 45 minutes of Yin yoga. Saturday was a 45 minute spin into STS Meso 3 Disc 26/Plyo Legs. Yesterday was Party Rocking Step 1 and STS 2.0 Core and Floor Abs. Today was Meso 3 Disc 25/Chest and Back followed by a RWH premix that blended Low Impact HiiTs 1 & 2 into a fun 30 minute workout.

Thelma, great workouts. I understand being exhausted after a week of guests. I always feel that way as well…..along with the need to clean. We didn’t see any shortages here over the weekend, so hopefully your shelves are stocked soon. It could be some of what you are seeing is a result of the hurricane though. And now there is another one headed to Florida again. Thankfully that rumor about not being able to help the people from Hurricane Helene wasn’t accurate, but this new hurricane…..I don’t know. These storms are so fierce.

Laurie, welcome back! I am so glad to hear your mom is recovering from her surgery well. It is amazing that she is up and walking. That’s incredible. Great workouts. I love you were able to get PHA 2 in there. I love that workout. DH was finally able to talk more to his coworker that he helped get out of NC late last week, and they were really in a dicey situation. They were in a hotel, and the only notice they had of an impending mudslide was people started screaming when they looked out the windows. Just a horrifying mental image. And, unfortunately, their experience just got worse because of lack of access to information. It really puts into perspective how reliant we have gotten on our phones and the internet.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, my workouts on Monday were walking and CG Beastmode Day 10 HIIT. That was the last Beastmode workout. I still don't know what I'm doing next.

I had a stressful Monday. My two elderly cats had their physicals, and we discovered the girl cat has a UTI. We didn't have a clue. I didn't think that it was a big deal for her to sleep a lot, but I missed the fact that she is looking pale. She wouldn't eat or drink after the vet visit, so I spent the afternoon offering her food and water in bed. She finally ate, drank and peed! What a relief!

A friend texted me asking to donate warm clothes for the people in NC. Her friend will deliver the stuff. I went on a major closet clean up. DH was thrilled! LOL
I have 5 giant trash bags full of women's and men's clothes, boots, wool socks, blankets pillows with pillowcases and flannel sheets and a couple of quilts I no longer use.

Laurie, welcome back! I am so happy to hear your mom is recovering so well from her surgery! How exciting that you'll get to enjoy some quality time with your grandson! You really have been very busy!

Great job with your workouts! Was that PHA workout your DH's first Cathe workout?

The in-laws visit went well and their visit got extended a couple of more days.
I was pretty firm on the games. I just couldn't stomach the thought of playing games. They really can't complain about the hospitality and accommodations they got here from us.
I can't believe you have your grandmother's oatmeal bread recipe! How special. How was it?

Laurel, I'm glad you had a great weekend and attended the Autumn Festival! The weather was on the warm side here, too.

Great workouts! Did you hear Cathe sent the DVDs to the duplicator and that she expects to ship them out this month?

It was really exhausting. It's funny how I cleaned like crazy before the in-law's arrival and I felt the need to clean after they left. I haven't quite gotten all the cleaning done, but it's on my to-do list.
People have been posting pictures about empty shelves still. I really think it has a lot to do with buying stuff to donate to NC.
Everything I'm reading says that FEMA is not helping, that they have no funds. A lot of the help NC is getting is from good Samaritans in the neighboring areas. I am so worried about hurricane Milton and the people in FL. I have a good friend who lives in Tampa.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning I did a Heather Robertson Low Impact Workout.

Laurel, Great job with all those workouts! What a great way to spend the weekend, it really does sound like you where able to enjoy some time out enjoying the season. I still need to get to my sisters for some apples, and get to my brothers for a plant that they brought down from my Moms. What a scary experience that couple had with the storm. This other hurricane sounds like it will be a very large and dangerous. I have not heard what our friends in FL will be doing. I know that their daughter has evacuated her place in Tampa.

Thelma, Awesome job with the workouts! I'm sure that you will find something that will appeal to you for your next rotation. So sorry to hear about your cat, just happy to hear that she is getting better. DH had done some Cathe workouts previously to us starting Caroline. Cathe's workouts are a little to fast paced for him. The bread turned out really well, I just have to ask my mom a couple of questions before I attempt another batch. I did make three loves of the six with a cinnamon swirl. ;)

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 45 minute spin into STS Meso 3 Disc 37/Squat Rack Legs. I am trying to finish reading a book on my Kindle, so I pulled that out to read during the long breaks in the STS workout, and it is amazing how time flew in that workout. :)

Thelma, great workouts. I did see that Cathe had shipped the DVDs off to get duplicated. I really am anxious to get these. Even though I watched all of the clips, I am not quite sure what to expect from these workouts, so it makes me more interested to get them. I am sorry to hear about your kitty. But it is so good you were taking her for a physical and were able to catch it. Hopefully she starts feeling better soon.

Laurie, great workout. You had my mouth watering at cinnamon swirl bread. That is my absolute favorite bread. I was thinking this weekend that I need to fire up the bread machine, and now I definitely want to do that.

DH is off for the next week and even though our plans for a getaway were thwarted by Hurricane Helene, we are still hoping to take some day trips and enjoy this beautiful weather and season. So I probably won’t be back until the middle of next week.

Hi ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were walking and Yoga.
I had a bad night on Monday night and didn't sleep well. I kept waking up every hour. I am also having terrible allergies. I've not checked my pollen app, but I've been sneezing like there's no tomorrow, my eyes are itchy, too and my head was throbbing earlier.

I had the brilliant idea to eat some peanuts even though I know they're not good for my acid reflux. I was very nauseous. I finally took a much-needed nap in the afternoon. I feel pressure in my head.

    My kitty is doing better.

It was cold here this morning. The temp was 47 degrees early Monday morning. I could smell the heat when I got home from yoga. DH was cold so he turned the heat on. LOL

    Laurie, great workout!

I think I am going to do that Iron/Fuel rotation like I had originally planned. If I don't like how it feels in a couple of weeks, I'll switch to something else.
Cathe's workouts are definitely fast paced. How did your DH like the workout otherwise?

I'm glad the bread turned out great! I love cinnamon swirl bread!
I found a SD honey/wheat sandwich bread recipe that we like. The recipe only calls for 1/2 cut of wheat flour and that qualifies it to be called whole wheat bread! LOL. When I first tasted I thought it would make great French Toast bread and I it did. I modified the recipe by using 1/2 all purpose and 1/2 whole wheat flour. I also turned it into cinnamon raising swirl bread. So far it's been a huge hit.

Laurel, great workouts! You are too funny about reading your book between exercise sets.

I am looking forward to the new workout program.
My kitty seems to be doing better. She did more of her normal behavior things today.

I missed the part about your DH conversation with the couple he and his co-worker rescued from NC. How scary!

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This mornings workout was Jessica's Cardio Kickboxing Abs. Totally enjoyed doing that one.

Laurel, Great job with the leg workout! Love the way you entertained yourself during those long breaks. It's always nice to have homemade bread at this time of the year. I do have to control myself. I had a toasted slice with peanut butter on it after work yesterday. Of course Rocket was right there wanting a taste. He just loves pb. :D Have a great time on your vacation, there are many places to venture to that will be out of the hurricane zone.

Thelma, Good job with the workouts! Sorry to hear about your allergies, it has been the same for me. I'm just glad that I have only had one rough night with a headache. But I hear you on the itchy eyes. Ben Starr has a recipe for sour dough cinnamon rolls, and I'm thinking about trying those out. Your bread sounds really good. My DH would love the raisins added in. The man could exist on raisins. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi ladies, Wednesday's workouts were walking and CG EPIC Beginner Day 1 - No Equipment Lower Body.

It turns out that I completed the EPIC I program last year! I didn't think I'd completed it! I now have three CG programs under my belt. I picked that Epic beginner workout because it matched my energy level.

My allergies felt bett on Wednesday. I realized thay my nasal passages were very dry, so I started spraying saline solution up my nose. This has helped a lot! I also checked the pollen app and it's ragweed season. I am very allergic to that stuff.

    Laurie, great workout!
I'll have to check Ben Star's cinnamon roll recipe! I LOVE raisins, too!

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning I did a Mobility workout with Jessica. Such a good way to wake up the joints. :)

Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! How did you like that workout? I thought that you had either gotten through the majority of Epic 1, so congrats on completing 3 of her series. My oldest dd always needs to use saline during the winter. She gets some nasty nose bleeds because of the dryness. Ben has the recipe on his web page and on youtube, and it looks pretty easy.

    Have a great day!

Hi ladies, Thursday's workouts were walking, Warm Yinyasa and Tracy Steen Arm Pumping Biceps and Triceps.

Laurie, great workout! Mobility workouts are great.

Thanks Laurie! I had completely forgotten that I'd finished Epic I!!
The Epic Beginner Leg workout was actually pretty good because it allows you to focus on your form. I wasn't feeling very energetic, so the workout was perfect for my level of energy that day.

I get nose bleeds when the weather turns cold, and we don't have the humidifier going yet. Besides the saline solution, I use a little Vaseline inside my nostrils to help keep things hydrated.

    Have a great weekend!!

Hi ladies, I hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was very busy, but it was good.
We got a little rain on Sunday night! This is the first rain we get since Helene. Our nighttime temps this week will be in the low to high 30's, so we may get our first frost! This seems way too early!

My workouts on Friday were walking and yoga.
    Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and CG Iron Day-1 Legs.

I've committed myself to doing the Iron/Fuel Hybrid rotation for the next 10 weeks. Iron was my first CG program after my shoulder surgery, so I used 10# dumbbells for legs. Tonight, I wore my 10# vest and held 19# dumbbells the entire workout.

    Have a great week!

    Morning Ladies,

No workouts for me at all since Thursday. Taking care of a toddler is a workout in itself. That little guy is very mobile now that he is walking, and climbing. :o He gets into everything! :D

This morning I did Jessica's Straight up Strength.

Thelma, Great job with all those workouts! Glad to hear that you have selected your new rotation, I'm sure that you will enjoy trying out those workouts in a different way. Nice that your area received some rain. We have had rain both Saturday and Sunday. Of course it has been pretty cold, this morning was in the low 40's as I headed out to work. DH and I will have to try out the beginner epic, just to say we did the workouts. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi ladies, Tuesday's workouts were walking, Warm Yinyasa and CG Iron Day-2 Upper Body. I already messed up the rotation's schedule! I was supposed to do Fuel 2 but did Iron 2 instead. I loved the workout and am seeing that I've gained strength.

Laurie, great workout including the toddler workout! LOL. Toddlers are exhausting!

I am already loving the new rotation. I am glad I chose it because I get to do Iron again. I think it would be good to do the Epic beginner program. It's only a week and if it's too easy, count the week as a deloading week. I think I would use the workouts in that rotation on days when you're tired.
There's no rain in our 10 day forecast.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

We still had the little man, so no workout last night. He will be going home today. Mom and Dad are picking him up when they land this afternoon. It was fun having him around, and he is always so busy. :D

This morning was a mobility workout with Cathe. I did STS Mobility 1. We should be able to get back on track with our workouts after I get home from work. I think that DH really misses them. :D

Thelma, Great job with the workouts even though you did the wrong one. I'm sure that you will be able to figure out how to work the rotation even though you tried the wrong one. After all it is the start of your new rotation. Nice that you can see improvement in your strength since the last time you had done the workout. Using the Beginner Epic series for deload is a great idea. After this Epic Heat I would like to go to the Iron series again. I think DH will see some great improvements. We had rain again this morning, but right now it is sunny but cold and windy. A very fall day again for us.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Back from enjoying a nice week with DH. We had beautiful weather throughout, and mixed together a lot of home projects with some lovely days out. I hated seeing him go back to work this morning, especially since I know he is going to be traveling for the bulk of the next two months.

I worked out every day, finishing the STS Meso 3, Week 1 workouts last week and starting with the STS 2.0 One Body Part workouts this week. Today was 2.0 Body Part Shoulders and a 30 minute spin. This is the last week in my first of four rounds of this STS combo rotation, and I have absolutely loved it. I was hoping to have the new Cathe recovery workouts to use next week during what I scheduled as a recovery week, but since they aren’t here, I am going to press on and insert them in when they get here or when I feel like I need a break (which I don’t quite yet). I will take a few days off at the end of this week, though, just to make sure I am up to tackling an STS Meso 1 week next week.

Thelma, great workouts. Sounds like a great new rotation! We are supposed to have frost this week as well, which is quite a change from the near 90 degree days we had over the weekend. But we remain dry with most days not even having a cloud in the sky. And no rain on the horizon, just like you.

Laurie, great workouts…..especially the workout of chasing after your grandson. :) It’s hard to believe he is going to be 2 soon! That’s always a fun age. B) I bet both you and your DH are ready to get back to a normal workout schedule.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, the transition into cold weather is hitting me hard. I was cold all-day Tuesday. I finally warmed up at the end of the day.
Tuesday's workouts were walking, Yin and CG Iron Day-3 Glutes. This was pretty much a hip thrust workout!

Laurie, great workout! The little man is a workout himself! LOL I'm sure you and your DH will be glad to get into the workout routine.
I think you both should try the hybrid rotation.

I'll be able to make up the Fuel workout I missed by choosing the Iron workout by mistake the other day, so no big deal. I just have to read the printout to make sure I pick the right workout! LOL

Now that I'm doing Iron again, I can see why people love this program so much. No doubt your DH will see great improvements when you do Iron again.
You're so lucky to be getting all that rain. The fire danger notices are showing up no for this area.

Laurel, welcome back! I'm so glad you had such a nice week with your DH! I'm sorry he's going to be traveling so much, though. DH is going to have to go to Boston in a couple of weeks and I'm already dreading it.

Good job getting your workouts in during your vacation week! I was also hoping Cathe's program would've been here by now. They're getting close, though.

I think this hybrid rotation is going to be really good. I can't believe you had such warm temps! The forest service department sent out its first fire danger conditions notification in a forest near here. This is when they start the controlled fires.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

We had temps in the high 20's this morning! I'm not ready! :D

DH and I decided that doing a Heat workout after not doing them for a long time wasn't something that we wanted to do. I found a workout from Cheryl Coulombe, and it was an upper body workout that I thought would be a good gateway back. It was perfect, not to long but very effective. I actually have some DOMS this morning, because I did use a very challenging weight for each muscle group. I think that we will do her workouts for the remainder of the week, and we will probably nix the rest of Heat. This series is just a little to fast paced. We will probably join Thelma in doing the Iron/Fuel Schedule. I know that we both enjoyed those workouts. This morning was Yin Yoga with Travis.

The Grandson was very happy to see his mom and dad when they came to pick him up. <3 I do have some news, we are going to be grandparents again. DD is due in April, and apparently so is my niece. They are two days apart. :D

Laurel, Welcome back! Glad to hear that you had a very enjoyable time with your DH. Having DH gone that whole week was a bit different for me. Awesome job keeping up with all those workouts! I'm surprised that the gs is going to be 2 already. Now I have to gear myself up for another one. I'm sure that I will be called on to babysit since I'm going to be retired next year. :D

Thelma, Great workouts! Got to love those hip thrusts. :D DH was ready to workout when I got home, and he actually said he was glad to be back into the routine. I know that DH and I enjoyed the Iron workouts a lot, so this change in rotation will probably be a good option for us. I was really dreading going back into the Heat workouts. Dang on the fire danger, not fun to have to deal with that. My DH will be gone again to do a site visit, but it will only be a few days that he is gone.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Biceps and 4DS Kickboxing and Core. It was 34 degrees this morning. And we have a frost advisory for tonight. Fall seems to have arrived very quickly. But, of course, we are supposed to be back in the 80s next week. As much as I am not ready for freezing, I am very ready to be done with the heat. I know….I’m being picky. :D

Thelma, great workouts, though I am not sure how I would feel about an all hip thrust workout! Great job. Like you, I was cold all day yesterday. DH and I were sitting outside after dinner last night (our habit) in winter coats with a fire going. And we were in shorts on Sunday! My body is definitely not adjusting very quickly.

Laurie, great choice of a workout. No use finishing a program that neither of you was enjoying. This rotation Thelma is doing sounds great. Congratulations on a new grandbaby!!! That is exciting news. And exciting news from your niece as well. So you have decided to retire? Do you have a date? I think you will love retirement given all of your hobbies.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies! Wednesday's workouts were walking and Tracy Steen No Repeat Cardio and Strength Hiit. I have serious peck DOMS from Tuesday's workout. I can't even press lightly on my pecks because they are so tender. LOL

It was 34 degrees here on Wednesday morning. DH put the tender plants in the garage. The chickens will be sleeping in the garage during this cold spell.
Our weather guy said that this type of cold is very unusual. We see weather like this in mid-November.

Laurie, congratulations on the new grandbaby and your niece's baby! How exciting! Does your DH know what she's having? How's your youngest doing? What about your mom?

I love that your DH is now really hooked on working out. Good job finding the perfect workout to get you back into the swing of things. I'm excited that you'll be doing the Iron/Fuel rotation. Are you able to do 5 workouts a week. I feel that 4 is best for me given that I want Saturday's off.
How many workouts did you have left on Heat?

Laurel, great workouts! I love those Body Part workouts!

I bet it felt good to sit out by the fireplace with your winter coat on.
It's been weird for me with the colder temps outside. I seem to be tolerating the cold outside better than I have since we moved here. I have not been wearing a jacket outside, but inside the house I just can't warm up.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

We did Cheryl's Lower Body workout yesterday, and it was a very good one. She did four rounds of 4 different exercises. This morning I did a mobility workout with Lindsey Bomgren.

Laurel, Great job with those workouts! I love that you both where outside with your coats on by the fire. Our friends usually invite us over for that type of experience before the snow flies. We usually have to have a blanket because even with the fire it can get to cold. :D Oh yes I'm going to retire. I have set a tentative date of June 1, I don't want to be here during the summer. This place is changing a lot, and it doesn't seem that many people are all that happy around here. Very sad to see. I think that DH and I will be better off with this rotation, he does like Cheryl's workouts also. We may have to do one of her challenges in the future.

Thelma, Awesome job with those workouts, and for having DOMS. Every area seems to have experienced this cold, and of course back to regular temps this weekend. DD has not informed us of what she is having. They can determine what the sex of the baby is from blood work now. She did have an ultrasound, so she was able to see that the baby was very active. ;) We have been doing 5 days a week with Friday and Sunday as off days. We got through 4 of the 10 weeks for that rotation.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Triceps, a 30 minute spin and some Peloton yoga. The next three days will be light workouts for me before going into Meso 1 Week 2 workouts. I m curious how the Meso 1 workouts will feel next week compared to 6 weeks ago. I feel like I have gained both strength and endurance from this rotation so far. Maybe I will be able to deal with the pushups a little better. Or maybe not. :)

Thelma, great workouts. We were mid-30s again last night and will be for one more night, but we didn’t get any frost. I left my plants outside because I decided I didn’t want to move any indoors this winter, and only one is suffering which is a little surprising. Given how warm we are supposed to be next week, I will not be surprised if these plants survive well into November this year. And two of them are tropical plants. :o

Laurie, great workouts. Sounds like you are finding some different instructors. We try to sit outside after dinner year round and, for the most part, we can do it. But sometimes it is for an hour, other times it is for a very quick cup of tea. But since the darkness really gets to me in the winter it helps me from feeling too claustrophobic during the long winter evenings. I am sorry things are changing for you at work. That is not fun, especially when you have worked a place as long as you have. Hopefully having a retirement date will help.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Thursday's workouts were walking and Warm Yinyasa. The yoga class was nice workout. I love the owner/instructor. She is a professional dancer as in Broadway, so each of her movements is gorgeous. She also is challenging. These are the most advanced yoga practices I've ever done in studio, so I'm more advanced in my practice now. I always come out of this class feeling like my abs got a nice workout.
I was really exhausted today and my body simply needed a day off.

I've been a day off all week, which is why I wished you a nice weekend on Wednesday night! LOL

I thought it was going to be freezing around here on Thursday morning, but it wasn't as cold as I expected it to be. We didn't get any frost even though the temp was 31 degrees at 6am. It wasn't windy and that made a huge difference.

Laurie, great workout! Sounds like the Beastmode format.
How exciting that you have chosen a retirement date! Sorry about your job, but that seems to be a way of life.

I saw the map showing the cold air mass coming from Canada and it really looked like it covered the entire US!

I had no idea that baby's sex could now be determined by a blood test! A very acitve baby! That's always good news.
I think that you did the right thing in dropping Heat if you weren't enjoying it.

Laurel, great workouts! I am sure the Meso 1 workouts will feel great after giving your body a rest. You'll probably be even stronger. I can't wait to hear how you did with those 5K pushups!

We could've left our plants outside, too! The plants will probably survive a while longer. Sometimes just being under a covered deck is good enough.

I saw the temp/precip maps GA and LA for the next 10 days. Temps for both will be above normal temsp and precip well below normal. I read somewhere that La Nina was back. I think it never left!

    Have a great weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

After work we did Cheryl's ab workout, and then I tortured my DH with Yin Yoga with Travis. This was just a 10 min stretch, but I now know that DH really need to do more stretching. :o This morning I did mobility work with Jessica. I really do enjoy her mobility workouts, and wish that she had more on youtube. Guess I will have to do some of the workouts that she has on her DVD's. :D

Laurel, Awesome job with the workouts! Heading into Meso 1 has to be some dread factor, but it will be very interesting to see if you are stronger than the last time. That alone will make for some enjoyment in the workouts. I'm trying out a lot of different instructors and their mobility workouts. It's crazy to see how many are out there, and I sure do feel like doing those type of workouts in the morning really help me throughout the day. I filled out my last evaluation this week, and it made me really happy to know that I don't have to do that anymore. :D

Thelma, Nice job with the yoga! How awesome that you are advancing in your yoga practice. I love just watching some of these instructors and their graceful movements. Guess that comes from watching my youngest dance all those years. Apparently this blood test is fairly new, but DD's doctor said that it has been very accurate in all her patients. The test said that it was 99.4% a boy baby. :) DH said that she wanted a girl, but she is a wonderful boy mom.

    Have a awesome weekend,

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Shock Cardio Step Moves followed by Cathe’s live class from yesterday which was Core with Yoga Blocks. It isn’t often I say I really enjoyed a core class, but this was a good one. I loved how she used the blocks to add a balance challenge but kept it all very safe.

Thelma, that yoga class sounds so good. Congratulations on improving in your yoga practice. I have been reading the winter forecast for here (December to February) and it is supposed to be warm and dry all winter. I can’t say I am thrilled with that given how dry it already is. But there isn’t a hint of moisture headed this way anytime in the near future.

Laurie, great workouts. And great job getting your DH to do a yoga class!! I honestly don’t know how my DH gets through life without ever stretching. I think it would help him tremendously but he always uses the excuse he isn’t flexible. And I think it is a tad rude to continually remind him that he wouldn’t be so inflexible if he stretched. B) Maybe someday when he has more time in his day I can change his mind. Congratulations on a new grandson!!!

    Enjoy the weekend.
