My brother in law said it looked like I've lost heaps of weight! he's been away for three weeks. The truth is, I've overindulged in that time and put on about 4kg lol.

That reminds me. I’ve been wondering about BP readings. I’ve got guns these days, and when I get a BP reading it feels like it’s going to squeeze my arm off. I always get readings above normal. Should they adjust the darn cuff to accomodate muscle? I sometimes wonder if it’s that, or me stressing over the painful readings that’s bouncing the numbers up.
@springlering62 Yes, pain causes blood pressure spikes. Ask for a larger (or possibly, a differently shaped) blood pressure cuff next time. If that doesn’t help, the machine may need to be recalibrated. The cuff absolutely should NOT be painful when inflated. (I had to learn this the hard way, myself.)

"We have a local chocolatier that makes See's look more like Hershey's. Family business. They've only been at it since 1938. I do sometimes have one of theirs when offered. For a while, the woman who cut my hair had a studio upstairs from their retail shop. I never went in.[/quote]"

I peeked at your profile, I grew up in the town you live in. Family still there. I was intrigued because my grandparents used to gift my family with chocolates from there and told us that they remember when it was founded, in 1938. Good thing I am far away up north, but there is the danger of online ordering, hahahaha.
