Hi Linda, and Vicky, Vicky you can have anything you want in this cafe. There are no side effects. I just don't like alcohol really, and I can't drink coca cola in the real world that often. Linda, it was mostly the Y's child care kids, or home school kids. The real young ones. We had rain here in the real world, lots of much needed rain. I spent the day doing housework so I call that exercise. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a t-bone steak with baked potato, peas, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some brownies, and an iced mocha.

Hi, Vicky and Zzyyggy. It’s not that I never drank alcohol, I don’t now because I have GERD and that means I get instantly sick if I drink alcohol. My parents did teach us to drink responsibly, however, little kids didn’t need to drink alcohol. Then again, Mom didn’t think little kids should drink sweetened beverages, either, with exceptions for special occasions. I never thought I was missing anything. Still, as an adult I’d have a drink now and then, but I was just as happy with iced tea, coffee, or water. If I could have a drink now my choices would be Sauvignon Cabernet, Pinot Grigio, a Sapphire martini straight up with olives, or Southern Comfort.

Which reminds me, Viktor, I’ll have a pot of coffee and a plate of chocolates. Let’s start with Russell Stover’s caramels and turtle—a mix of milk chocolate and dark chocolate, please. See, apparently, coffee and chocolate are much more important than alcohol. Plus, I’ve turned into my grandmother in my old age. I even give boxes of candy as gifts, except my grandmother always gave boxes of Russell Stover candy and we give boxes of Belgian chocolates. Costco’s Kirkland Belgian Luxury Chocolates are delicious. They are so good, that our grandson (who, at 16, is a chocolate connoisseur) requested a box for Christmas for the last couple of Christmases.

Counting calories means there is little room for wine for me. I have the occasional glass and enjoy it. IRL I've given up added sugar, red meat, pork, reduced fat ... Thank god that coffee has no calories to speak of. It's my last vice.

Now back to the cyber cafe. My favorite food is vegetarian pizza. I'd like a thin crust pizza please. I think by the our door fire place plese.

In the cyber cafe, do we get thinner when we walk in the door? I want to see if I can wear my smaller jeans here.

Hi ladies, Vicky it is virtual so I guess so. I am starving tonight. I'm going to have the fried scallops with french fries, and lots of tarter sauce with a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. It turned sunny today after a night, and morning of rain. I got in a swim and a walk this afternoon, and I'm ready for bed right now.

Vicky, you can do anything, be anything, eat anything at the cybercafe! If you can dream it . . .

Zzyyggy, the temperature in the Charlotte area was only two degrees warmer than Burlington’s today. Sweetie even wore his jacket this morning because the temperature was in the 30’s.

Viktor, I’m ready for my bedtime snack. I’d like a cup of tea and cinnamon toast, please. It’s just past 10 pm. Good night ladies.

Hi Ladies, Linda, wow thats cold for you guys. I may have to wear my jacket tomorrow. We're suppose to get snow. Today it was just rain, dark, and dreary all day. Didn't do much of anything but read in bed. For dinner tonight I'm going to have some spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars and an iced mocha. It's getting dark around here in the real world so early now. I love the warm tropical sunshine out on the terrace. Igor and his band are even playing Island music for us.

Zzyyggy, I checked out your forecast. 🕵️‍♀️ Did you know that the day after Thanksgiving, daytime temperatures in Burlington will be to dropping into the low 30’s and stay that low. We’re supposed to have daytime temperatures in the mid 40’s after Thanksgiving. Here, in the Charlotte area that may be the only winter weather we have. Maybe this year we’ll see snow, but all the forecasts say the southeast will see a warm winter. 😢

It’s nice and toasty out on the terrace tonight. I ordered iced tea with my apple pie, ice cream, and caramel sauce.

IRL we were hit by the southern edge of the atmospheric river so we got about 7" of rain and no walking. Today is dry so time for a long walk. I will then hit the cafe for my post walk hot tub and hot coca with peppermint schnapps

Linda must live in Vermont? Zzyyggy must live in Charlotte? I live in California about an hour from Lake Tahoe. We live below the snow line which means we don't get a lot of snow. When we do, what a mess.

Happy Thanksgiving prep! Putting my shopping list together.

Hi ladies, Vicki, I live in Vermont. and it was cold today. That wind has been rough all day. There were white caps on the lake. The tropical sun on the terrace feels so nice. Did I mention it was cloudy all day as well. Linda, I saw that and the dreaded forcast of snow. At least for us it's after Thanksgiving. For dinner tonight I'm going to order the rotisserie chicken with potato salad, corn on the cob, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha.

Vicky, Zzyyggy lives in Vermont, I live in the Charlotte area. Wow, 7 inches of rain is a whole lot. That would have been a ton of snow! We’re busy preparing for Thanksgiving, too. This year the kids are hosting and we’re bringing over the stuffing casserole and other side dishes. Everything should be fine on the trip over since it’s a very short trip. Yup, it’s one mile and takes about three minutes.

The cybercafe will shine this Thanksgiving. Francois has all the cybercafe’s kitchens working overtime. The Cybercafe’s Winery and Brew Pub is serving their special Thanksgiving turkey and stuffing sandwiches starting today through the whole month of December. You can order the Thanksgiving dinner special at The Cybercafe Diner. On Thanksgiving Day the Dining Room at The Cybercafe will have their famous Thanksgiving Buffet. I can’t wait!

Zzyyggy, you never told me about all the kitchens at the cybercafe. I guess it’s the owner’s prerogative to keep secrets. Sniff. I had no idea there were more prep kitchens and baking facilities. Imagine my surprise when I walked into the cybercafe’s kitchen this morning and saw a door open to an entire corridor of rooms full of kitchen elves happily working away. Francois sat me down at the kitchen table where I usually have my morning coffee, gave me a cinnamon roll, and went right back to work like nothing happened.

With all that you got your post in before mine, Zzyyggy. It’s because Miss Nora called. Anyway, I forgot my order! I ordered one of those sandwiches from the Cybercafe Pub. The turkey and stuffing one. It comes with cranberry sauce and coleslaw on it, too. You don’t have to get it with everything, but it’s delicious if you do.

Hi Linda, that sounds like one of those dreams you have where one rooms leads to the other, to another, and you can't seem to find your way out. I didn't know the cafe had so many kitchens. Francois has his secrets I guess. I guess I'll have to do a little more exploring. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a big bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, and a root beer. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with chocolate sauce, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight since winter has come to the real world today, although we did have a lot of sunshine. It was just cold out there.

We had more rain today. It's not tht cold but the damp just creeps into your body. I'd like to sit by the fire and roast my tootsies with a cup of hot cocoa and oatmeal raisin cookies.

Hi, everyone. We had a beautiful sunny day today and it was 72 degrees. Sitting by the fire still sounds good to me. Vicky, here at the cybercafe the staff will make sure you have your very own fuzzy slippers (mine are bunny slippers) and a comfy fleece blanket ready for you on your recliner by the fire, no matter where that fire may be.

Zzyyggy, that cheeseburger sounded so good that I ordered a cheeseburger and cheesy fries and a root beer float for dinner earlier this evening. Of course, now it’s 11:30 pm and I’m having a cup of chamomile tea and lemon shortbread before heading off to bed.

Hi Ladies, Linda, Chamomile tea sounds good too with some of Vicky's oatmeal cookies. For dinner tonight though I'm going to have the fried chicken platter with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, dinner rolls, and coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream, and an iced mocha. We got some much needed rain today, but it was also cold out there. Got in a swim, and got the rest of my goals done. I'm keeping an eye on winter storm coming on Thanksgiving. I'm going up to my niece's house, but I don't want my sister to have to drive all the way down to pick me up, and then go out there and back if it's bad. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'll eat by the fire in the dining room.

Good evening! Sounds like you had a good day, Zzyyggy. I made chicken fajitas for dinner tonight, but I’ll join you by the fire. Francois made more oatmeal and raisin cookies we can share and I ordered a cup of coffee with cream and sugar. Maybe Viktor will bring a carafe filled with coffee for me.

We’re supposed to have rain on Thanksgiving, but the bigger storm looks like it will be up by you in Vermont. I’d hate for you to miss spending the holiday with your family.

Hello? Gee, the cybercafe’s staff is wildly busy, but no one else is here. This may be the perfect time to grab a sandwich at the Pub and then spend some time in the library in my favorite chair with my book and cat in my lap. Viktor is sure to find me and bring cookies and coffee. I’ve spent much of the day prepping for Thanksgiving dinner. The vegetables are chopped, the gravy is done, everything is ready to go.

    Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Hi Linda, I've been busy putting together my order for Walmart that I almost forgot to come in here. Looks like Igor has the place well decorated for Thanksgiving. For dinner tonight though I'm going to have some lasagna with garlic bread and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some blueberry pie, and an iced mocha. Sounds like you were busy today Linda. I'm going to my niece's tomorrow although we're keeping an eye on this upcoming snow storm. The weather reports all say it's going to the south of us, but who knows. If I can't go there I'll always have the cyber cafe.

Happy almost Thanksgiving. Hubby and I are doing a Turkey Trot tomorrow. I'm walking and hubby is running. Then dinner with friends. Hope the weather cooperates for both of you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Vicki have fun with the turkey trot, and have a happy Thanksgiving. We had mostly rain today with clouds, and more rain in the real world. Went for a walk in the morning, and then had Thanksgiving at my niece's. The trip up and back went well, for us it was just a rain event thankfully. I'll have the turkey and all the trimmings with a coca cola, and lots of gravy. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie, and an iced mocha. I'll eat in the dining room by the roaring fire.

Zzyyggy, I’m having the apple pie, too. I had pumpkin pie earlier. It was just a small slice. We had lovely Thanksgiving. It rained a little bit in the morning, but then the sun came out and the temperature rose to 70 degrees. It got windy and cooler in the afternoon. We cooked most of dinner and took it over to the kids house. It worked out great.

Our neighborhood had a Turkey Trot, too, Vicky. When I was sautéing the onions, carrots, and celery for a chicken and stuffing casserole we all like, I could see our neighbors walking and running down the street.

Hi Linda, still cloudy outside. Got a walk in though. Had to, I was out of milk, and half and half. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the fried scallops with french fries, coleslaw and lots of tarter sauce with a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace in the warm sunshine, seeing as how it's going to be the only sunshine I'll see for awhile.

Zzyyggy, it’s cold and although it’s only just after 9:00 pm, it’s already 37 degrees here. It was sunny today, but 53 degrees was the high today. It’s supposed to be 25 degrees tomorrow (Saturday) morning. I might just have to stay in bed because, even though the crawl space vents are closed, the floors are cold. Look at me complaining when you’re dealing with much colder temperatures. I see you’ll be having temperatures in the 30’s for the coming week and then those daytime temperatures start getting even colder and temperatures in the 30’s will begin to feel like warm weather. Not to me 🥶 —once the temperature goes under 60 degrees it’s cold. Sweetie says that’s just chilly weather.

Francois is making soups. The turkey soup looked good, but I opted for the lobster bisque with a warm, fresh from the oven baguette dripping with butter. It was delicious. I want something warm for dessert, but Sweetie says he’ll have an ice cream sundae with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge and chopped pecan pralines. I ordered the rice pudding served warm with hot half and half poured over it. I don’t usually go out of my way to eat rice, but lately it’s been on the menu. I make two cups of rice, measure out half a cup for dinner and mix it with at least half a cup of vegetables then Sweetie somehow manages to eat the rest of it between dinner one night and dinner the next night. Probably a good thing, right?

Hmmm, I had Thanksgiving dinner IRL. I had decided that I was going to do it but not over do it. Up 2 pounds the next day. I'm hoping it is just salt. Now back to splurging only in the cafe.
We have frost in the morning, but it's above freezing. It's easy to bundle up and go for a walk and not slip.

In the cafe, I'm ordering ice cream with a shot of kahula.

Hi ladies, Linda, not only the temp is cold up here, but we've been having a cold northern wind as well. They keep forecasting snow, but I haven't seen any. Vicky, sometimes we just have to go with the holidays. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a big ole bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, and a rootbeer. For dessert I'll have a plate of warm gooey chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. Didn't get a whole lot done today.

Viktor, Sweetie and I would like to order coffee and warm apple pie a la mode, please. I see Zzyyggy and Vicky are already here in the dining room’s alcove by the fireplace.

Hello, ladies. The weather has gotten cold in the Charlotte area, too. This morning IRL the temperature was 23 degrees, no snow for us though. The floors in the house feel cold this evening—it’s 8:30 pm and 32 degrees outside. Brr. It’s wonderful to sit here by the fire at the cybercafe enjoying dessert and coffee by the fire. I can sit in my recliner with my blue fleece blanket and a cat on my lap and visit with everyone. Here’s Victor with drinks for everyone. I definitely want to sugar and cream in my coffee.

Hi ladies, welcome to the diningroom alcove Linda. Vicky Happy Holidays to you as well. Today was another cloudy and cold day in the real world. I'm waiting for my Walmart order which should be coming tonight. They'll text me when it comes. For dinner I'm going to have the Sunday Lasagna dinner with garlic bread and a salad. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some brownies, and an iced mocha. I think I'll sit inside by the fire again tonight. Didn't do a whole lot today.

Zzyyggy, Francois’ Sunday Lasagna was delicious. It’s time for dessert and Francois promised to make some cheesy garlic bread for me and Viktor will make sure I have coffee. Sweetie can’t decide between lemon meringue pie and tuna noodle salad. There’s quite a dichotomy between the two. Maybe the tuna noodle and then the pie would be best. In the hobbit realm is there such a thing as second dinner? Or is it third dinner if you have dinner for lunch and then supper?

I managed to get some things done around the house and even did some laundry. I usually have a small breakfast with steamed vegetables and a protein, with dinner around 1:00 or 2:00 and then a small supper around 6:00. So today I chopped lots of onions and peppers to add to my sundried tomato chicken. It’s one of our favorite recipes. I make a whole mess of it so we can have some for breakfast and dinner the next day. You can add tons of other vegetables to it, which I love. I’ve made it with spinach, zucchini, carrots and broccoli. It would be fantastic with eggplant. Sweetie likes to have pasta, rice, or potatoes with the sundried tomato chicken. 😋

Hi Linda, I'm beat tonight I spent the day doing housework, putting away my grocery orders, and finally getting in a walk. My apartment looks a lot better now that my orders are put away. I did two online this time, one from Walmart, and the other from Market32. Neither store had my International delight's iced mocha or vanilla so I had to go out hunting for them CVS had Starbucks iced mochas but those small bottles. I got three. That won't last me a day, but I do have regular coffee I can make into iced. For dinner tonight I'd love a roast beef grinder with the works, cheddar cheese, and bacon. A coca cola and a bag of chips would be perfect with that. For dessert I'll have a monster m&m cookie with an iced mocha. I'll eat inside by the fire. Did I mention we had snow flurries today. Not a whole lot, but it was pretty to look at coming in over the lake. Then we had sunshine, and then more flurries.
