    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday was Fuel Day 10 Hard n Higher Intensity Workout. Not a favorite. :D This morning I did Full Body Pilates Workout for Beginners with Move with Nicole. I enjoyed this one, even though it was beginner.

They are saying that we might have snow tomorrow and Thursday. Nothing major, since it will be mixed with rain. We have had rain on and off since yesterday afternoon.

Laurel, Great job with all those workouts! Your weekend sounds very nice. I'm afraid to pull out a puzzle. I can just see the grandson wanting to get his hands on it. :D When I make bread I use my Kitchen Aid mixer to knead the dough. At least you will have the dough when you want to have that pizza on any certain day. I need to do that same thing myself, it would just be healthier for us to make our own. We will be trying out the standing abs workout tonight.

Thelma, Love the workouts! Congrats on your sd bread, it must be really good. That is one thing that I don't do, write things down. I probably should, since I am getting older and tend to forget things. :D Cinnamon Raisin is the next bread that I want to try. DH really loves his raisins, so I'm sure that he will enjoy having some. Even though I let the bread rise to high, the loaves turned out to be just fine.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Cathe Live Fight For Awareness 2 and STS Stability Ball Abs.

Thelma, great workouts. Your bread sounds so good. I hope you got some rain. We did. It started in the middle of the night and lasted for a few hours. I am hoping we get more, but it doesn’t look like we will. But I will take the half inch or whatever we got. Now we have to prepare for the cold…..at least for a few days.

Laurie, great workouts. I like doing beginner yoga and Pilates workouts sometimes because I find I can get a good workout without any dread, especially since I use them for recovery. I hope your weather doesn’t get too bad.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Tuesday's workouts were walking, yoga and Tracy Steen Abs.

We finally got a lot of rain. It was pouring on Tuesday when I woke up at 6:30. It had pretty much stopped by 8AM. but at around 7PM the rain started again. It's been raining pretty hard.

I've been having problems with both my shoulders. I can tell it's because of my shoulders rolling forward. My chiropractor says that I have tendonitis in both biceps, right where the arm connects to my body. She said this type of injury is posture related, as in shoulders rolling forward. I agree and I told her I knew it was because of my scapulas not wanting to stay in their pocket.
Last week I did a CG shoulders/triceps workout that really worked my upper back, and I felt like my shoulders had been pulled back into place. I am going to start doing this workout twice a week. The times when my shoulders are in the right position, I don't feel anything in my biceps.

Cathe's new DVDs are done and on their way to her facility in NJ, so I hope we'll be getting them pretty soon! Yaay!

Laurie, great workouts! Fuel Day 10 is my next workout, but I will do the shoulder workout tomorrow and Fuel Day 10 on Thursday. I can't remember what it's like, but I've been dreading it because of its title.

I write everything down when I'm baking the artisan style SD bread. I write down the ingredients I'm adding, stretch and fold times and temps, so that I can guestimate how long my dough will take to proof. I also write things down when I change a recipe, so that I can reproduce it in case we like what I baked.

I made the cinnamon raisin bread today and I did my best rolling technique yet. Normally, I never have raisins at the ends, but this loaf had then. I'll have to remember how I rolled it for the next time.

    Laurel, great workouts!
I'm so glad you also got some rain! I have no idea how much we got because our rain gauge stand broke and DH hasn't been able to build another one yet. It's been raining all night long! Thank God!

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

We have a chilly one today, and if they are correct we will be having snow tomorrow morning during rush hour. :/ Oh well, guess that comes with living here.

DH and I where not able to get in our workout. DH was helping his friend with the hood on his car. Guess it wasn't lining up correctly. So by the time he got home it was to late for a workout. Of course DH said, guess we are doing a workout on Friday. :) This morning I did a Yin Yoga workout with Travis, it was Release Tension for Neck and Shoulders. Guess you don't realize that you are carrying tension until you do a workout like this. :D Felt great afterwards.

Laurel, Awesome workouts! Interesting title for that live workout. Glad to hear that you had rain, I'm still hoping that your area gets more. I've been trying to get in some different workouts in my morning sessions. Kind of nice to see what I like and don't like. Still need to get in more boxing, and of course kettlebells. Sure do miss those two. Maybe tomorrow I will pull out one of my kettlebell kickboxing workouts. Those had a low impact option.

Thelma, Love the workouts! Dang on the biceps, but it is good that you are so aware and working on the issue. Nice that the workouts will be in our hands soon. I saw that she has a downloadable workout if you purchased the calendar also. You are doing so well with the bread making. Seems like all the cardio workouts that Caroline puts out have a bit of dread factor. Of course once we are done with it, we both agree that it was a good one. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Meso 3 Disc 38/Squat Rack Legs, a 30 minute spin and the STS Extended Stretch. Our rainy, foggy weather has left and now we will have much colder temperatures and wind. We only got 1/2 an inch of rain, so it didn’t make much dent in the drought. But something is definitely better than nothing.

Thelma, great workouts. I am sorry your shoulders are bothering. I hope doing that shoulder/tricep workout continues to help. I find my posture getting worse to a point that I asked DH to let me know if he sees me slouching. My lower back area is fine, but it is my upper back and shoulders that seem to want to hunch. If you find ways of countering that, let me know. I am so glad you got some rain as well.

Laurie, sounds like a great workout this morning. I hold so much tension in my shoulders. It sounds like your DH is definitely enjoying these workouts when he is looking for make-up dates. I love that. I have decided that I need at least one kickboxing workout per week from now until eternity and maybe two. :) Actually, they really are the best form of cardio for this rotation I am doing because they help loosen up my back and shoulders after all of the heavy lifting. It has nothing to do with me wanting to punch anything at all. ;)B)

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Wednesday's workouts walking and CG Iron Day 7.
My biceps feel much better now that I can sometimes fix mt forward rolling shoulders.

The rain stopped this morning at about 3, but it was also lightly raining at 9 AM. It turned very windy in the afternoon and temps started to drop.

For the first time in probably 25 years, I was able to fix my scapula by doing some of the exercises from Caroline's Iron Day 7 and others I've seen on FB.
I came across a YT chiropractor who talks about forward rolling shoulders and he agreed with my chiro, in that it was a postural issue. YT chiro got into more detail and said it was trap weakness and specifically lower trap weakness. I have to agree with that because when my scapula pops out, I can feel it on the lower trap area. Now I get that the reason why CG's workout helped so much is because she targets the traps in the workout.

This is the chiro talking about forward rolling shoulders. He has a warm up workout for shoulders called Shoulder flossing. I did it before my workout, but I'm not sure it did anything.
Shoulders rolling forward are ax postural issue due to lower trapezius weakness

    Shoulder flossing - pre-workout exercises

Exercises for uneven shoulders - Very good and can be done while standing with forehead against a wall.

Posture correction - this guy has amazing mobility. Notice how his articulation, that is key with the scapula I've found.

Laurie, Gheat job doing the Yin workout. I'll have to check that out! Good for your DH for wanting to make up the missed workout on Friday!!

I've had too many injuries not to have learned awareness! LOL
OMG, my bread came out amazing. I made the full loaf for the first time and it came out so tall! More flour would do that! LOL

CG's cardio workouts come with a dread factor. She loves her burpee type moves.
Commute snow is never fun. I hope it's not a big storm.

    Laurel, great workouts!
I'm sorry you only got 1/2" of rain. I don't know how much we got, but we definitely didn't get more than 1".

I can't believe you are having postural issues too! I posted above the videos I found helpful. That guy Igor has other videos, too.

    Have a great weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

Talk about slow traffic this morning. To many accidents to count, this is the first snowfall and people are not able to cope. The other thing is get some good tires on your vehicles PLEASE!!! Rant over. :D We are going to have snow falling until about noon, and then it will turn to rain.

Our workout after work was Fuel Day 8 Posterior Chain Circuit, and then we tucked in STS 2.0 Standing Abs. This morning I did Fat Burning Circuit Workout by Fitness with PJ. The majority of her workouts are low impact.

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! That leg workout is tough, and of course you added in a spin. You are right every little bit of rain helps. I was looking at yt yesterday, and found quite a few walking/kickboxing workout that I may try out. Of course I always have KCM and Cathe workout to fall back on also. I think I want more boxing than the kick part though. :D Funny how that changes over time.

Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! Glad that you are able to address the shoulder issue, and your biceps have improved. Thanks for the information on the shoulders. I will take a look at that when I get home. This storm wasn't all that big, but they didn't lay down salt so people where spinning their tires. A lot of the Yin Yoga that Travis has on yt concentrates on a body part. That is something that is nice.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was LITE Rev’d Up Rumble with the calorie Crush and Abs 1. I love this workout.

Thelma, great workouts. Thank you so much for all of the shoulder information. I think this will definitely help me since I struggle with bicep tendonitis as well. There is some great information there. We are sunny but cold and windy here. I need to mow, but not today. It might have to wait until DH comes home if the wind doesn’t die down. I’m afraid to spend too much time under the trees when it is blowing like this. We get too many branches down. :#

Laurie, great workouts. How did your DH do with that ab workout? Sorry to hear about the bad commute. It always amazes me how people cannot drive in snow in snowy places. And the tire situation is another thing that makes me crazy. So rant away! But hopefully this is your last winter with a commute. :) I enjoy boxing more than kickboxing these days as well, which is exact opposite of how it used to be.

    See you tomorrow.

    Morning Ladies,

No workout yesterday since we have a full body workout for today. This morning I did another Fitness with PJ, and I did No Jumping, All Standing Cardio. I looked at a few of her other workouts, and she has her husband in some of them. He reminds me of DH doing a workout, so we may have to try out some of the cardio instead of Caroline. DH may enjoy seeing how the husband modifies. ;)

Laurel, Very nice workouts! Interesting that we have moved on from more of the kickboxing to boxing. Of course our instructors have also done the same thing. That wind was crazy with our snow/rain yesterday, so understand that the mowing would be put off for another day. It would be so cold.

    Have a wonderful weekend,

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Meso 3 Disc 30/Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps and a 30 minute spin. My workouts felt really good this week, which is always nice at this age. :)

Laurie, great workout. I like your idea of using cardio with a guy doing it and modifying. Whenever there are men in Cathe’s live classes, I really appreciate seeing them and it reminds me that men and women, on the average, really do move differently when it comes to cardio. No doubt your DH would appreciate the modifications. We are now under a freeze warning, so I am going to hold off on mowing until next week. DH will be home, so either he will do it or I can knock it out when he has to go to a meeting on Monday. We are supposed to be in the 70s that day, and that sounds so much better than the 40s we have right now for being outside for two hours.

DH will be off all next week (minus the meeting on Monday), so I may not be back until then Tuesday after Thanksgiving. So I will wish you both a very Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hi ladies, I hope you had a great weekend. We had a very busy weekend, but it was good.
I was a day ahead last week and wished you a nice weekend on Wednesday! DUH!

My workouts on Thursday were walking, yoga, CG Fuel Day - 10 HARD 'N HIGHER Intensity.
    Friday - walking, yoga.
    Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and CG Iron Day-11 Legs with Calves Included. This leg workout was the first workout on week five of this rotation. I feel like I've been on this rotation way longer than 4 weeks!

I wanted to make sourdough dinner rolls for Thanksgiving, so I did a test run on Sunday because I'd never made rolls before. It was a very successful experiment!

This is the recipe in case you're interested. I started the dough on Saturday and put it in the fridge after the first rise. On Sunday afternoon I shaped the rolls and allowed to rise for a second time until doubled their original size.
    https://amybakesbread.com/honey-butter-sourdough-discard-rolls/

Cathe posted a video of her and Jenn (shaved head) getting up at the crack of dawn for a day trip to MA to get their hair done! LOL.

    Laurie, great workouts!
Isn't amazing how that first snow of the season makes people drive as if it's the first snow fall ever! I hear you on people not buying good tires.

Laurel, great workouts! I am glad you found the shoulder videos informative.
Have you seen the weather for next week? It will be cold! One night we're going hit 17 degrees!
Good move for waiting to mow the lawn till the winds died down. We were windy till Saturday morning!

Have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving just in case you check in this week.

    Morning Ladies,

We had a very nice weekend, and I made a loaf of raisin bread for DH. He was so happy. :D I will not be able to eat any of it until after tomorrow. I have a colonoscopy tomorrow. :|

Our workout on Friday was Fuel Day 10 Hard n Higher Intensity Workout. We tried out one of PJ's workouts and did one that had her husband in it. She refers to him as loving husband, and both DH and I where laughing during the workout. Loving husband has some interesting comments about the workout. We did Building a Better Butt, and she did a lot of standing work. DH could see that an average man really doesn't have the type of flexibility as women, but he got through it. Both of us felt the butt working. This morning I did Upper Body Weight Training with PJ. I don't think that I will be working out after work, since I will have to start the prep for tomorrow.

Laurel, Nice job on the workouts! Don't blame you for putting off the mowing, not fun in the cold. One of the things that I liked about the workout that we did with PJ, is the fact that DH could see another man being tortured along with his wife. :D Enjoy your time with the DH and Happy Thanksgiving!

Thelma, Awesome job with all those workouts! I love that you did a test drive with the rolls, and of course that they turned out great. Thanks for the recipe. I will have to check out that video. I probably will not be on tomorrow, but will be around on Wednesday.

    Have a great day!

Hi ladies, my workouts on Monday were yoga and walking. I felt pretty tired and didn't feel like lifting at all.

Laurie, great workouts! Good luck with your colonoscopy!
That PJ workout sounds like a fun one. Good idea to select one with the loving husband in it, so your DH can see another husband being tortured by his wife.

I had to test run the dinner rolls. I didn't want to ruin our Thanksgiving dinner with horrible rolls.

    See you tomorrow!

Hi ladies, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Ors was nice.
My uncle died on Thursday afternoon. The funeral was Friday afternoon. So sad. I got the news right as I was getting ready to start working on our meal. DH had invited our neighbor to eat with us and I had to put on a happy face, but that was not what I felt.

On Saturday evening I noticed that my cat was going in and out of the litterbox, but wasn't able to pee. We took her to the ER at about 7:30. We were there till 11. They gave her fluids to help her pee, but she didn't, so back to the ER we went on Sunday afternoon. She peed at the clinic when they squeezed her bladder, so she probably was about to pee at home. I had them give her more fluids and she finally peed at home.

It's been a crazy weekend, so my workouts were just walking.
    I got my Cathe DVDs!

    Have a great week!

    Morning Ladies,

We had a very busy but fun Thanksgiving/Weekend. My family is doing pretty good, my Mom was having a hard time. My parents anniversary was on the 27th, it would have been their 65th. Mom is doing really well with her hip, she uses a cane and it can be difficult to get out of a squishy chair.

Don't know how our workouts will go this week, we have the grandson with us. DD's house is having the hardwood floors redone. They are staying in a hotel, so the young man will be with us for the week. He is at that age where he doesn't stop moving. :D

This morning I did a Leg workout with PJ. I did receive my Cathe DVD's while we where gone, so I have not had a chance to view them.

Thelma, I'm so sorry to hear about your Uncle. Will have your Aunt, cousin and you will be in my prayers for comfort at this time. I'm sure that was difficult to keep up a happy face. Sorry to hear that your cat was having such difficulties, but that she is in recovery mode now. Great job with the workouts, you did a lot better than I did getting them into your day.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! DH decided to go to work today since he leaves for another two week trip tomorrow, so I am back a day early. We had a nice but busy week last week winterizing the house, doing some Christmas stuff and, of course, celebrating Thanksgiving. It has been so nice to have DH home for a little while, that’s for sure.

For workouts, I did the 2.0 Body Part workouts last week with all of the bonus material and various forms of cardio throughout the week. Friday marked the half way point for me in the STS 1 & 2 blend, so since we are getting our new workouts, I decided to make this week a recovery week. So Saturday was a walk with Jessica and Yoga Relax from Cathe’s Low Impact series. Yesterday was Cathe Live Cardio Mobility Blend. And today was a 45 minute spin into Lift, Move and Restore Functional Lower Body, and I did the premix that included the Balance bonus section. I enjoyed this workout. I would put it into a lower intermediate range in terms of intensity, but I used Cathe’s weight and if I wanted to take it higher, it could be a bit more challenging. But that isn’t what I wanted today. And those balance discs are surprisingly challenging. But it was good to see everybody working out with Cathe (and Cathe too) wobbling about. So it wasn’t just me. :)

Thelma, great workouts. I am so sorry to hear about your uncle, though. That is so sad. Like Laurie, I have you, your aunt and cousin in my thoughts and prayers. I hope your kitty continues to improve. I bet you are exhausted from that series of days.

Laurie, I am sorry your mom was struggling at Thanksgiving, but she has been such a trooper with everything that happened between the funeral and going right into hip surgery. I am glad she is healing from that nicely. Enjoy this week with your grandson. I have a feeling you might need a vacation at the end of it. But I am glad you are going to be able to spend some time with him this week.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, it's snowing in Blue Ridge tonight! It's just a dusting but I read that schools would be closed on Tuesday. It's been freezing around here. My chickens decided to start molting this week! One of them is pretty bad. There's a big naked spot on her back. I've never had a chicken molt this much.
My kitty is doing better. I'll be taking her to our vet next Monday for a follow up to make sure the infection is gone.

Thank you both for keeping my aunt, my cousin and I in your prayers.

I did my first Lift, Move & Restore workout and I'm in love! I did the Functional Upper Body. I am thinking of doing a CG upper body from my CG rotation tomorrow, then the Functional Lower Body, and the following day CG Lower Body. I want to see how alternating these workouts feel.
Even though the Functional Upper Body workout uses light weights, I still felt a little burn and my arms.
Does a User Guide come with this workout? I've not seen one.

Laurie, I'm glad you had a fun family weekend! I'm sorry about your mom having a hard time with your dad not being around anymore.
I'm glad your mom is doing well with her new hip. Will she always have to use a cane?

It wasn't easy having to play hostess during Thanksgiving. I sure wasn't feeling very sociable.
I made my first sweet potato casserole, and it was delicious. I followed a Skinnytaste recipe, so it was lite.

Laurel, I'm so glad you had a nice busy week with your DH.

Awesome workouts! You did much better than Laurie and I did! I can't wait to try the Functional Lower Body workout!

My kitty thankfully is doing better. :)

    Morning Ladies,

This little guy must be wearing me out! I slept through my alarm so no workout this morning. We of course didn't get in a workout last night, he is busy busy busy. :D This morning he woke up early and crabby. He was good by the time I left for work.

Laurel, WTG on all those workouts! Looking forward to trying out these new workouts and using the discs is challenging. You are right with the vacation after this week. The bonus is that he is a really good toddler, just has a lot of energy. Now that the weather has actually gotten into the 20's this morning, I hope we can get outside a bit.

Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! I was wondering about the user guide also. I do like your plan of incorporating the two rotations. She is hoping to not have to use the cane. She doesn't like having to use it, but until she is stronger it will be a staple. She is just thankful there is no more pain. Next is her shoulder.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Rockout Knockout followed by Lift, Move and Restore Functional Pilates Fusion, and I added on the bonus workout from this disc which was Foam Rolling Lower Body. I feel a little mixed about both of these workouts, mostly because I was hoping for more genuine Pilates in the first and more genuine foam rolling in the second. But the first felt more like a total body movement workout and the latter was more like a barre routine using the foam roller as a balancing tool. And neither of those descriptions are fully accurate. Anyhow, they were fine, just not what I expected.

Thelma, great workouts. I am going to try that upper body workout tomorrow. I am feeling the lower body workouts from yesterday today, so it did hit places I am not getting with the STS workouts. I love your idea of alternating with CG workouts. I think a User’s Guide for the new workouts is going to be published on-line soon. She usually gets the guides out about the same time the workouts get out On Demand, and they weren’t there last time I checked. I can’t believe you got snow there! They thought we might get a hint of snow, but we didn’t. It is just cold. I hope your chickens are okay.

Laurie, no doubt the little guy is exhausting. I’m glad he is a good little one, though. That makes it so much better. My nephew at that age was a tyrant, and my poor sister didn’t have a minute to herself. Luckily he grew out of that. :D

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Tuesday's workouts were walking, Yin and CG Fuel Day - 12 ANTAGONIST UPPER BODY.

It's been a very cold day here today. Tonight, the temp is 19 degrees!

Laurie, oh my goodness with that very active little human! LOL You need to make him burn all that energy somehow! LOL
    Do you still have Rocket?

I hope your mom won't have to use that cane too much longer. I bet she's relieved not to have hip pain. Shoulder surgery is a different beast. She will need someone living with her for a while. If she is going to have shoulder surgery at some point, I'd recommend that she learns to do things with her other hand if it's not her dominant hand. For me it was my right shoulder and I'm right-handed. I hear most shoulder issues happen with your dominant side. You may have to make her some sleeveless t-shirts with velcro at the shoulders.

    Laurel, great workouts!
That's kind of disappointing about the foam roller workout. I have seen the picture of them using the foam roller as a balancing tool. There's no foam rolling when you're standing up and your body is not on the roller!

I really liked the idea of alternating CG and Cathe workouts. It will help get through these CG workouts right now when I'm feeling that 4-5 CG workouts a week feel like too much. This cold weather is not helping me at all!

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a fun 45 minute spin into LMR Functional Upper Body with the Balance Disc bonus. I really enjoyed this upper body workout. I used Cathe’s weight and will probably adjust a few of those upwards next time, but I liked that the moves really were functional and unique. The balance disc segment was all about balance and core on the mat. These balance discs are a surprisingly challenging addition to my workout regime. I need practice on them for sure.

Thelma, great workouts. I was thinking about you when I did the foam rolling segment yesterday because I remember you expressing disappointment in Cathe’s STS 2.0 foam rolling workouts. Cathe does explain at the beginning of the workout I did yesterday that she is going to show some traditional foam rolling moves but it isn’t a traditional foam rolling workout. I think about five minutes was spent on foam rolling. I get the sense Cathe doesn’t like foam rolling which is why she has never done anything more than show examples of how a foam roller can be used in what otherwise could be foam rolling workouts. Anyhow, I agree with you on the cold weather. It is a little painful on the body for sure.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Wednesday's workouts were walking and Cathe LMR Functional Pilates Fusion.
It was much warmer on Wednesday, and we actually got a few minutes of light rain.

Laurel, great workouts! I'm so glad you liked that functional workout too. I need to try the bonus workouts soon. Those discs are challenging. I like that she did a lot of shoulder moves and the low weights allowed me to make sure I was doing the moves right and articulating the shoulders and scapula to get maximum benefit. I actually felt like I'd used much heavier weights afterwards.

I did that Pilates Fusion workout, and I can totally understand your disappointment. It wasn't as disappointing as the 2.0 foam roller video was for me, though. At least this one wasn't just let me show how to do this massage move. This one was let me show the ways you can use this foam roller in, but it actually was a workout. It's unfortunate that she made it a fusion. I would've much liked to see a full Pilates workout, or a longer workout where she incorporated a full Pilates workout. I bought a pair of the new ankle/wrist weights they have these days. They kind of look like bracelets. I really like them. I saw a woman at yoga wear them as ankle weights during yoga and I liked the idea of using them that way. I am not sure if I'll wear them to the yoga studio, but I'll try using them during my home workouts.

    Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 4DS Low Intensity Step into the Low Impact Cardio Bonus from LMR into the LMR Functional Mobility Fusion. I really enjoyed both of these LMR workouts. I can’t gage how intense the cardio would be on its own since I was pretty winded going into it, but I think it makes for a great add on and probably a good workout on days where short, not too intense cardio is what is on the books. The moves were simple, familiar and easy to perform. The mobility workout makes for a nice compliment to the P30 mobility workout. The warm up for the LMR mobility is very similar to the feel of the P30 workout, but after that, the LMR is a more dynamic total body workout. My body really enjoyed the combo of movement and extension. This was my favorite workout of the series so far.

Thelma, great workouts. I completely agree about the LMR Upper Body shoulder moves. She does a lot of shoulder opening in the mobility workout as well, and it was really good. I didn’t feel my upper body today like I did after the lower body, so I probably will up the weight a bit next time. One thing I am noticing from this series so far is a lower body focus, and I suppose that makes sense because of the focus on functional movement. But after four days straight, my legs are a little tired. But I am hoping to get all of the workouts done (maybe minus the core workouts) before I start back up with STS next week so I am going to press through. Your new ankle and wrist weights sound interesting. I’ll be interested to hear how you like doing yoga with weights. I have never thought about doing that.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi ladies, my workouts on Wednesday were walking and Tracy Steen abs and cardio.
I had my rheumatology quarterly check up today and everything is OK.

It is quite cold here tonight and tomorrow will be the same.

I wished you a nice weekend on Wednesday again! What's wrong with me?!

Laurel, great workouts! I'm so glad you had such a good workout session!
The LMR workouts are definitely lower body focused because of the functional mobility aspect of it.

I just looked in YT for yoga with ankle weights, but found none. I did find plenty of Barre and Pilates with ankle weights workouts, though. I will have to try one of those one day.

    Have a nice weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

Sorry that I have not been online the last few days. I took the afternoon's off to babysit the gs. DH had a couple of appointments in the afternoons. The little guy has been a really good boy all week.

    Unfortunately no workouts all week.

We are going to be in the 40's this weekend, it will be a nice break from the teens that we have been in this whole week.

Laurel, Great job with all the workouts! Thank you for giving all the details on the new workouts. I'm hoping to try them out next week, and I think that they will be good morning workouts to compliment our evening workouts. The grandson is very busy, so you do need to keep your eye on him. DH bought him a new red wagon, and he pushes that thing all over the house. I think that is why he goes to bed so well, he has walked a lot for such a little guy. :D

Thelma, Awesome job with your workouts! Sounds like you are really enjoying the new workouts. Thank you for the information on the shoulder surgery. Fortunately the shoulder that she has problems with is her non dominate. I will for sure be making her some shirts like you suggested. Any other information that you can give is very helpful.

    Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 30 minute spin into LMR Functional Total Body with the Everywhere Mobility bonus added on. I loved this workout. The total body workout is my favorite of the LMR strength training workouts. Not only did I enjoy the moves, but it can be done with just dumbbells. She uses a barbell and a weight plate, but there are options not too. This workout reminded me of a lot of the metabolic total body workouts on Cathe Live. It doesn’t make you feel pumped, but it is a good overall total body treat. Just a word of advice though. When she goes to the floor for the core work, take your dumbbells (she uses 8s and 10s) with you. She keeps pulling hers out and putting them back and I started feeling like a jack-in-the-box hopping up and down off my mat. Well, take the weights with you unless you like that. :D The mobility bonus was a short and sweet option for a mobility workout. Nothing new, but just a 15 minute option for opening up the body.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad everything went well with your rheumatology appointment. We were very cold here last night with the low in the teens. I turn the heat all of the way down at night (which is 50), and the house was 51 degrees when I got up. :o I slept like a baby though. :D

Laurie, I am glad you are enjoying your time with your grandson. I bet you are looking forward to some warmer weather this weekend. I think you will enjoy these new workouts. Some (the strength focused ones in particular) may be a bit long for you in the morning, but she doesn have timesaver premixes for them. But I love the focus on balance and mobility throughout all of the workouts. The low impact cardio bonus segment I did yesterday may be a good option for your DH because the moves are pretty straight forward. Just a thought.

    Enjoy the weekend.

Hi ladies, I hope you had a nice weekend. We had a nice one, and not busy for a change. The rain started here at about 10PM on Sunday night. It's been raining hard, and the wind is pretty strong, too. We need this rain badly. There was a fire along the highway in BR.

My workouts on Friday were yoga and walking.
    Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and CG Iron Day 13 - Glutes, Hamstrings, Back.

Laurie, I'm glad you're OK and that the grandbaby was a good boy all week.

The most helpful thing I got for my shoulder surgery was my Polar Ice Therapy machine. I was attached to that machine all day and only unhooked it when I had to move around.

Another helpful thing will be to have a handheld shower. She's going to need assistance with bathing. Liquid body soap in a pump was very helpful. The most important thing was to have a recliner for her to sleep in. I tried sleeping in bed using one of those bed wedges and it was hard as a rock. The recliner is the way to go.

Laurel, great workouts! I am glad you liked the LMR Total Body workout. I'll have to remember to take the dumbbells to the floor for the ab work. She probably kept putting the weights away so she can be getting up/down as a mobility move.

    You keep your house cold!!!

    Have a gret week!

    Morning Ladies,

We had a busy but warmer weekend. Saturday we decorated the church for Christmas. Our new Pastor said that he really liked the decoration. He was very surprised that it only took us 2 hours to put up. I have a very good group of people helping, and they all know what to do. Yesterday after our workout, I was busy creating a new banner for Epiphany.

Our workout on Sunday was PJ's Full Body Metcon w/Hip Strengthing Finisher. Figured this was a better way to get back into the workouts than a full Caroline workout right away. I loved that PJ incorporated the finisher, it will be helpful to DH. This morning I did a Deep Stretch with Travis. Highly recommend this stretch. It's the most recent workout he put up on yt.

Laurel, Great job as usual with the workouts. Sounds like a really good workout, and I can't wait to try all of them out. I did look at the timeframe for some of the workouts, and it I want to do them in the morning's, I will have to get my butt out of bed earlier. Tough to do sometimes, but from what you have been posting, they really sounds like good ones for my morning routine. For sure I will be looking at the cardio beforehand, just so that I can prepare DH.

Thelma, Nice job with those workouts! Thanks for all the information on the helpful things that you used. I can actually check off quite a few of the things on the list, since we had to deal with some of those issues for her hip surgery.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Mine was quiet but good. Saturday was a beautiful day and I spent a good part of it raking leaves. They are so late in falling this year and after last night’s rain, I still have much more work to do this week. But I enjoyed the time outside. Yesterday was gloomy, so I spent it reading and working on a puzzle. It was nice to have a quiet day before the holiday madness kicks in when DH gets home.

For workouts, on Saturday I did LMR Functional Yoga Fusion and the bonus Restorative Yoga workout. Yesterday I did Step Moves into LMR Functional Barre Fusion into the bonus Upper Body Foam Rolling workout. I really enjoyed the Barre workout. It is kind of a bootcamp style workout where you do rounds of lower, upper and core exercises throughout. I used Cathe’s weight and band color, and while I will probably adjust the weight a bit in the future, it was just a nice total body workout but definitely not intense. The foam rolling workout was like the lower body foam rolling bonus on the Pilates disc in that it starts with a few rolling exercises then goes into a short (mostly core) workout using the roller as a prop.

Today was back to STS, so I did STS Meso 1 Disc 7/Chest, Shoulders and Biceps into a 30 minute spin.

Thelma, great workouts. Like you, we had rain all night, which was fantastic. I think we may still get a little more over the next couple of days before we dry out again. I do keep my house cold at night for sure. I hate having heat on when I sleep because it has a tendency to give me a headache, so that is why I turn it all the way off. It just doesn’t usually get that cold here!

Laurie, great workouts. Glad you chose a good workout to ease back in after some time off. I think you will like the new Cathe workouts. I will say that my one kind of petty complaint for a couple of them is all of the equipment change outs. So have the equipment needed handy because even though she isn’t moving rapidly, there are quite a few changes. But I definitely think these will make for good morning workouts. Going back to STS today after a week of them made clear that these really are light work/restorative workouts, and that is a good thing.

    See you tomorrow.
