Hi Ladies! I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was incredibly busy, but it was good.
My workouts on Friday were walking, yoga and barre flow. I can't tell how much fun we had with the new barre class. The instructor turned it into a bootcamp style flow, and it was nothing like the barre we're used to. This was a full body workout. It had strength, cardio, balance but I don't know what was barre about it, nor do I care. We used two lb. weights and were exhausted at the end.
It was a sweatfest! The instructor said that the class wasn't going to be about rigid exercises, hence the flow part of it. There were six of us in class, three were totally winded but not me. I was so happy we do the types of workouts we do because they prepared me for this class. There was a woman in her 30's who was super winded, and she basically sat on her mat 95% of the class. A young woman in her 20's was also winded.
Laurel, I kept thinking about you because this class was very challenging, so you would've loved it.
Saturday - walking
Sunday - walking and CG Iron Day 1-Legs.
The dreaded 'next trip to Boston' email came on Friday. This time it would be three days because DH's boss wants an all-day group meeting on day three! The trip is the first week in June. DH will be retiring at the end of May as a result. He doesn't want to travel anymore, and I couldn't be happier about it.
Laurie, great workouts. I am glad you had fun with the partner stretching class! You're lucky your DH decided he wanted to be healthy and joined you in your workout routine. I know DH will never want to follow a workout program with me. He definitely doesn't want to do daily workouts like I do. I do hope that when he retires, he'll workout with me a couple of days a week, though.
Laurel, great workouts! That live class sounds great! I'm glad Cathe recovery is going so well!
No problem at about the rotation. I think Iron will work out better for me. I love the program and workouts aren't too long.
I think you would have a blast doing a Cathe Live strength training rotation. You really should give your muscles a break. At the very least you need a deloading week.
We're expecting a rainy week. I imagine you'll probably have the same type of weather.
Have a wonderful week!

Morning Ladies,
We had a nice weekend, but of course it was a busy one. We went to Ikea with the oldest. With the remodel of their kitchen she needed some storage ideas for her pantry. DH created a drawing for her with the cabinets that she chose. This is the first time that I have been to Ikea, and that place is huge. I did buy a couple of things, like a stand for my ipad when I'm trying a recipe from pinterest.
Our workouts where mostly walking and stretching. Neither DH and I had a lot of time. Lucky our weather was cold, but nice enough to get outside for walking. This morning I did a abs & glutes workout with Rachel.
Laurel, Great job with the workouts! The live class sounds like a fun time. Glad to hear that Cathe knee is doing so well. I'm not surprised. LOL about being so tired, but those workouts really do take a lot of energy. I'm sure that your DH would be very happy to have someone to talk to in the evening.
Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! I see you are back to the Iron workouts, have fun with those. Sounds like you have a winner with that class instructor. Hopefully she sticks around. I'm sure it did feel great to be able to keep up. Glad to hear that your DH is happy about the retirement, and I to hope that he participates in some of your workouts. DH surprises me everyday when I get home.
Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! It sounds like your weekends went well. Ours did as well. Saturday we spent running a ton of errands, and yesterday was mostly work around the house. It was warm on Saturday but gloomy, and it was cooler yesterday and still gloomy. But at least we have some sunshine today. Like Thelma, we are expecting a lot of rain and some storms over the next several days.
For workouts, on Saturday I did a walk with Jessica Smith and 60 minutes of Peloton yoga. Yesterday was a 45 minute spin and Cathe Live Breathless Core Express. Today was STS 2.0 Lower Body 1 and Cathe’s Intensity DVD. I had intended to only do half of the cardio workout, but once I was going, I didn’t feel like stopping. I guess that’s good.
Thelma, great workouts. I really love the sound of that barre workout. An intense total body workout with balance but no barre sounds perfect!! I am so happy your DH has set his retirement date. I don’t blame him for a minute not wanting to travel anymore. As I said above, we definitely have the same forecast as you. Right now they are expecting about 3-4 inches of rain here tomorrow and Wednesday. I really hope we get it.
Laurie, sounds like a busy weekend. I have only been to IKEA once and, like you, I was amazed at the size. I was glad they had a lot of signs showing you where to go. Great workouts. I told my DH about my plan to take down the intensity of my workouts, and he definitely gave it two thumbs up.But based on the workout I did today, I have some work to do in convincing myself to actually move in that direction.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Monday's workouts were walking, power yoga and CG Iron Day 2-Upper Body. I am really loving the Iron workouts.
We're under flood watch from Tuesday night through Thursday morning. I don't see how we are under flood watch because it doesn't look like there will be a lot of rain according to three weather apps.
Laurie, great job getting a walking and stretching in during the weekend.
I've never been to an Ikea, but I've heard the stores are huge.
I am back to the Iron workouts and already I'm thinking about repeating the rotation after this round.
It felt awesome being able to keep up with the class, but it felt even better to know that I'm in better shape than much younger women! LOL
The yoga instructor is the studio's owner, so she better stick around! She is awesome.
Laurel, great workouts! Sounds like you had a very productive weekend!
Great workouts! I just don't see you giving up your intense workouts for good. I can see you taking a break from them to give your body a break, though. If you feel great doing the intense workouts and you're not injured, do them.
I hope we get a lot of rain minus floods!
See you tomorrow!

Morning Ladies,
After work we did PJ Cardio + Abs. This was another winner according to DH.It actually was an excellent workout even done low impact. This morning I did an upper body weight workout with Rachel. Again totally surprised that I'm feeling this workout, even using lighter weights. She did this one slow and controlled, and that made the difference with using those weights.
Laurel, Great job with all those workouts! LOL about enjoying that workout, and continuing on. Hey you where enjoying it, so why not. Love that your DH is glad you are intending to take the intensity down. I'm sure that it will be hard, but for sure it will be a benefit to the body. We are going to be getting snow when you will be having rain. They are not indicating how much we will get, which is interesting. I'm guessing that this system may move, and we could have a lot or a little depending on that aspect.
Thelma, Nice workouts! Love your enthusiasm for the Iron workouts. I hope that your area doesn't flood. I think that DH and I will be sticking with PJ for a while longer, but I know that the Iron workouts where some of DH's favorites of Caroline's. Glad that the instructor will be staying since she owns the place.
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Upper Body 1 and a fun 30 minute spin.
Thelma, great workouts. I am glad you are enjoying the Iron workouts again. I agree that I will still do intense workouts, but I also need to get much better at listening to my body when it needs a break. That has always been my struggle. I think it is because there are so many days I don’t feel like working out but when I do workout on those days, I feel better. But then there are days I really should have said ‘no’. I don’t really give myself the permission to end a workout when I know it is counterproductive. And I need to start doing that more. I hope you don’t get any flooding. Last I saw, we are supposed to get 3-4” between today and tomorrow, but we have no flood warnings right now.
Laurie, great workouts. I find sometimes I feel lighter weights more than heavy weights. That was one surprise I got from the LMR workouts, especially the lower body one. I definitely felt the next day. I hope you don’t get too much snow. I do think this storm has the potential for huge snow amounts in places…..hopefully far away from you.
See you tomorrow.
Laurel0 -
Hi Ladies! The weather has been cold, wet and damp around here, and it hasn't been good for my bones. It's made me feel my rheumatoid arthritis big time, so I took it easy with my workouts, walking, Yin and abs.
We are getting a lot of rain tonight, so I can see how flooding is possible. s of Tuesday afternoon we had been downgraded from the 6-9" range to 3-4".
Laurie, great workouts. Those slow and controlled workouts are great because you really get to focus on the muscle being trained.
Finding workouts that are fun and keep us motivated is key because they keep us motivated.
Laurel, great workouts!
Listening to our bodies is very important at any age, but I think it's even more important as we get older because it takes us longer to recover from injuries.
See you tomorrow!
Thelma0 -
Morning Ladies,
Our workout yesterday was PJ's Full Body Workout with Weights. This one was a metabolic workout, but tougher than the last one that we tried. DH struggled, but he was happy with the calorie burn that he got. This morning I did Stretch & Flexibility with Rachel.
Laurel, Nice workouts! Between the two workouts yesterday, I don't know which one is giving me these lovely Doms that I have right now.The snow has just started around here, if it gets to bad I will leave early. They closed schools around here, and I think a lot of people decided to work from home. No one was on the roads, and it was a lovely drive into work.
I really do need to do some of those LMR workouts.
Thelma, Love the workouts! Glad to hear that you are out of the flood watch, but sorry that your RA is acting up because of the cold and damp. Sometimes we can tend to forget that taking our weights down and going slow is a benefit. For sure doing workouts that we enjoy are so motivating.
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Rhythmic Step and Cathe Live Core Flow Express.
Thelma, we have the same weather….and the same achy body issues. They had originally thought today would bring more rain than yesterday but, so far, that is not the case. I am happy for the moisture for sure. But I am also ready to see some sunshine again after all of the gloomy skies we have had for this past week.
Laurie, great workouts. I am glad that people stayed home today so you were able to get into work easier. It is wonderful when the only people on the road during a snow storm are the people who know how to drive in snow.
See you tomorrow.
Laurel0 -
Hi Ladies! I felt much better on Wednesday. I think it's because it wasn't damp and cold anymore.
The rain was pretty relentless Tuesday and Wednesday night. As of mid afternoon on Wednesday we'd gotten 1.4 inches of rain. We might have 2 inches by morning. It's rained so much that I can't believe the rain gauge only collected that amount of rain.
We are definitely under flood watch after all the rain we got tonight.
It looks like we're going back to below 30F nights!
Wednesday was baking DH's breads day, so I didn't have time for a full workout.
I walked and did a Tracy Steen Barre workout. Tracy used light weights and a resistance loop.
The most expensive restaurants in town are having a winter special for locals. Three course meals from a limited menu for $35 per person. The offer isn't valid on Fridays or Saturdays. I made a reservation for one restaurant we've never been to, so we're going Thursday night. I figured it's close enough to Valentine's Day! LOL
Laurie, great workouts! Those metabolic workouts are great! Good for your DH for sticking with it!
Apparently, we're still under flood watch and there may be more rain over the weekend.
Laurel, great workouts!
Sorry you also experienced the body aches because of the weather. It scared me because I immediately thought I'd flared up.
We had a break in the rain for most of the day on Wednesday, but it started to rain again in the late afternoon and it just didn't stop and came down pretty hard.
See you tomorrow!

Morning Ladies,
We did get snow, about 7inches for us. Driving into work this morning was slower than going home in the storm yesterday. Some cars are just not good for driving in snow, and it seems to be the cars with the small tires.
Our workout last night was PJ's Total Body Cardio Fix. Another really good workout. This morning I did Yin Yoga.
Laurel, Had to do a double take on the step workout, great job! That workout was one that I just was not able to grasp. Hope that you get some sunshine today. Right now we have sun, and of course cold single digits this morning.
Thelma, Nice workouts! Dang on the flood warnings. Glad that you where able to get some reservations. I think the day before Valentine's day is a great way to do that offer. DH and I are going to be babysitting the grandson on that day.I'm okay with that.
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Lower Body 2 and a 30 minute spin.
Thelma, great workouts, including the bread making of course. I am glad you are feeling better. We are under flood warnings as well, but we won’t be impacted by them where we are. Unlike you, we had rain all day yesterday. If I had to guess, I would say we got 2-3 inches, which is a nice amount. We may get more this weekend, though the odds of that are going down every day. The sun is beginning to peak out now, so I am hoping that combined with the rain is going to make my little flowers grow. One of my neighbors has flowers in bloom already.I am a long way from that still.
Laurie, great workouts. Yesterday when I got up I asked myself ‘what cardio do I feel like doing’ and Rhythmic Step is what popped into my brain. So I went with it. My knee doesn’t love twisty turny step too much anymore, so I just used the platform, and it was fine. I am sorry you got so much snow and are turning so cold again. We are going to be on a temperature roller coaster for the next couple of weeks from the looks of it which, I suppose, means spring is just around the corner.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Happy Valentine's Day!
DH and I had a great time at the restaurant last night. It was a beautiful, romantic set up where we were seated. The food was delicious, and portions were quite generous. No doubt we got an amazing deal. I already told him we're going back for my birthday. LOL
I had a great workout day. I did my usual indoor walking, Power Hot Yoga where the instructor kicked our behinds. There was a space heater directly behind me so it was a sweatfest. I did CG Iron Day 3 - Glutes. CG literally kicked my behind! LOL. Ever since I got the giant Olympic size weight plates hip thrusts have become so much easier to do and I like them now. I'm doing 50lb between the plates and the barbell and it's not challenging me anymore. It's time to get a little extra weight.
Tomorrow is a double class at the studio, Gentle Flow first, followed by the Barre class.
It looks like our friend the polar vortex is going to hit us again in the coming days or weeks. I can't remember which. It turned windy and cold here in the late afternoon. We're expected to go down to 22 degrees tonight.
I remembered to check the rain gauge, and we got 3.5"!
Laurie, great workouts!
Sorry you got 7 inches of snow! It makes sense that cars with small tires won't handle the snow well.
Have a great time with the grandson!
Laurel, great workouts!
You probably got at least 3 inches of rain too. We may have a pretty stormy Saturday or Sunday night. The system that is going to hit us can have strong thunderstorms with lots of wind and rain.
I hope you start seeing your flowering plants come to life pretty soon. I took a quick look at my hydrangea bush, and it didn't look like it was doing anything yet.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day!
DH and I really don't celebrate and of course we will be having the gs with us tonight. Sounds like a great evening to me.This morning started with below zero temps, and we are now up to 4 deg.
Going to be getting another storm later today, and continuing into tomorrow. Guess winter has finally caught up to us.
Our workout last night was PJ's Upper Body Burn. I followed her using the 12lbs weight, and she did the moves slow. Talk about a burn for sure. I'm really enjoying the light weight, but slow work. I'm feeling the DOMS this morning. Today's workout was an indoor walk with Leslie Sansone.
Laurel, Great workouts! I love that your mind went to that workout, and that you are able to use the platform for it. I would probably just be using the floor.Interesting that you referred to spring, and we are just getting into all the snow. At this point I'm okay with it. Where your neighbors flowers annuals that where coming up?
Thelma, Glad that you and your DH had such a great time on your night out. Awesome workouts! Sounds like you are really enjoying getting back into those Iron workouts too. Nice that you are able to up the weights on those hip thrusts. I'm okay with the snow, but this cold weather isn't fun. The body really doesn't enjoy the frigid temps.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Happy Valentine’s Day!! DH and I don’t go out anymore to celebrate this holiday because of crowds but we are planning a nice dinner with a bottle of wine and some cheesecake at home tonight. I am looking forward to that for sure.
Today’s workout was 2.0 Upper Body 2 and LITE Cardio Party with the Calorie Crush and Abs 1. That was a fun way to end the week.
Thelma, great workouts! I am glad you enjoyed the dinner out. I think it is wonderful that restaurants offer discounts for locals. That is really nice. Yes, we are expected to get some violent weather through here Saturday night as well. I think we are mostly going to get high winds, but we may get some rain as well. I just hope tornadoes don’t pop up for sure.
Laurie, great workouts. I hope you enjoyed your time with your grandson. My neighbor’s flowers are daffodils. The only reason I can think why hers are ahead of mine is because the area where they are blooming gets all day sun. It is weird even for here to see signs of spring this early. I first saw our daffodils emerging from the earth when we were taking Christmas decorations down in December. But we had such a mild fall, I guess it makes sense. But this is the earliest I remember seeing them. Stay warm!
DH has Monday off for President’s Day, so I will see you Tuesday. Enjoy the weekend!
Laurel0 -
Morning Ladies,
We had a nice weekend, and babysitting went very smooth. He was of course busy busy busy. DH was a busy guy this weekend, didn't see him until late in the day Saturday and Sunday. So we did get any workouts done with the both of us. I did some pilates workouts and yin yoga. This morning I must have hit the off button for my alarm, so I ended up not waking up until DH's alarm went off. Good thing that he still is setting his alarm.
Laurel, Love those workouts! Enjoy you day with your DH. That is crazy that you saw those Daffodils sprouting in Dec. When I woke up this morning the temp was -3, and we got another 5 inches of snow on Friday night. We will probably be getting dumped on with snow this last month. March usually gives us the large wet snowstorms.
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies, I hope you had a nice weekend! Ours was good and a little scary because we were under tornado warnings. The wind was blowing like crazy! The cold temps are back, but because there's no wind and is sunny, it doesn't feel too cold during the day.
My workouts on Friday were yoga and Barre Sculpting.
Saturday - Walking
Sunday - Walking and CG Iron Day 5 - Total Body.
Monday - Walking, Hot Power Yoga and Tracy Steen Standing Abs.
Laurie, I'm glad you had a nice weekend and that babysitting went well.
Good job getting your workouts in during the weekend! It's getting harder and harder for me to hear my alarm. My phone alarm isn't cutting it anymore. I think I need a gong or something like that! LOL. Ever since we moved to GA I sleep like a log.
Laurel, great workouts!
We mostly got the violent winds. I think we 1/4" of rain.
I hope you had a nice Valentine's Day dinner with your DH.
It really is nice the restaurants here have specials for the locals.
See you tomorrow!
Thelma0 -
Morning Ladies,
Dang it is cold here, it got down to -25.Our workout yesterday was PJ's Lower Body Burn. This morning I did Lower Body Pilates with Rachel. In this one she used ankle weights, and it was a good one.
Thelma, Nice workouts! Dang on the tornado warnings. LOL about not hearing your alarm unless it is a gong. You sleep well because you don't have any stress from a job anymore.I'm so looking forward to that day. I have a meeting with HR on Thursday to get all the information necessary for starting the retirement process.
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! DH and I enjoyed a nice weekend. We ran a lot of errands and did some chores around the house, but there was also time for a couple of walks and some relaxation. Like Thelma, we had pretty violent storms come through Saturday night. The news this morning said there were four tornadoes here in northern Alabama, but none were too close to us. DH slept through the whole thing, but I was up with the phone alarms going off, the howling wind, and the scary lightening. On Sunday morning, I let my DH know that I would have woken him if things were too bad because he was surprised how violent it got. I thought it was funny he slept through the whole thing.
For workouts, on Saturday I did a walk with Jessica Smith and 30 minutes of Peloton yoga. Sunday was RWH Low Impact HiiT 2, STS Meso 3 Disc 35/ Plyo Legs and Abs 2 from RWH. Yesterday was STS Meso 3 Disc 34/Chest and Back and 4DS Lower Intensity Step. And today was a 90 minute spin. I didn’t plan on a 90 minute spin. I planned on a 45 minute spin, but I enjoyed it so much I decided to do it twice.I followed that with a long stretch.
Laurie, great workouts. Sounds like a busy weekend with your grandson and your DH being so busy. Yikes on the cold temperatures. I definitely do not miss those -25 days for sure. I hope you warm up soon.
Thelma, great workouts. We are cold but sunny here as well, but we are under a winter weather advisory for tonight when we may get ice and snow. I would be just fine if it skipped us this time, but we’ll see.
See you tomorrow.
Laurel0 -
Hi Ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were walking and Yin. The new Yin instructor worked on our hips and toes. My hips haven't felt this good in like EVER! I think it was the killer frog pose that did it. We hadn't done the frog pose in a very long time.
Rain is due to start early Wednesday morning, and it may run over to snow.
Laurie, great workouts and congratulations on getting the ball rolling on your retirement process!
I think you're right in that I sleep like a log because I no longer live in constant work stress.
Laurel, great workouts!
I was awake through the storm too, Laurel. It was very scary. My DH slept through most of it.
I can't believe you had four tornadoes touch down in AL!
Hopefully the weather won't be as bad as predicted, but it sure looks like we'll be iced in on Thursday morning.
See you tomorrow!
Thelma0 -
Morning Ladies,
Our workout yesterday was a really good one. PJ's Shoulders, Arms & Abs. She did a weight exercise, and then a cardio ab move. This morning I just couldn't take the cold, and didn't want to venture down into the cold basement. We are going to be warming up this weekend.
Laurel, So glad that you had a nice weekend, but dang on the weather. I probably would have been like your DH and slept through the whole thing.Great job with all those workouts! Love that you where feeling so good with the spin that you made it a long one.
Thelma, Sounds like a really good Yin class. Hope this instructor sticks around for your classes. I'm really looking forward to not working, so I'm hoping that the HR guy doesn't cancel the meeting. So far he has only moved the meeting time.
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Meso 3 Disc 40/Squat Rack Legs followed by Shock Cardio MMA Kickboxing. Neither workout would ever be in my top favorites list of workouts, but they were both good for today.
Thelma, great workouts. I love the sound of the Yin workout. I am addicted to yoga classes focused on the hips. Everything feels better when my hips are stretched out. We got an inch or two of snow last night but because it has been warmer, it didn’t really stick to pavement. But the really cold air is supposed to arrive tonight so I think the snow we have will be around for a few days.
Laurie, great workout. I don’t blame you for a second for not wanting to face a cold basement in the wee hours of the morning to do a workout. I really hope your retirement meeting with HR goes on tomorrow. I bet you are ready to start counting days.
See you tomorrow.
Laurel0 -
Hi Ladies! On Wednesday morning we woke up to about 1/2" of the white stuff. It was very airy, wet snow. It melted during the day. We got a little rain, but not the amount we were expecting.
Thursday will be a very cold day.
My workouts on Wednesday were walking, and CG Glutes.
Laurie, great workouts!!
We also hope the new Yin instructor will stick around.
You are going to love not having to go to work!
Laurel, great workouts and kudos for doing some of your least favorite workouts!
See you tomorrow!
Thelma0 -
Morning Ladies,
Yesterday our workout was PJ's Knee-Friendly Tabata Cardio. This one surprised me, and I liked it a lot. Of course it doesn't hurt when your first move is jab, jab, knee. This morning I did Pilates Arms, Abs & Thighs with Rachel.
Cathe announced that she is going to be doing a LMR 2. I'm probably not going to be preordering this one. She says that this one will be upping the intensity. I still have not tried any of the LMR workouts.
Laurel, Nice workouts! The MMA Kickboxing workout was never one that I liked either. I enjoyed Les Mills MMA more than that one. One of the things that I want to make sure of when talking to the HR manager is my vacation. Sure don't want to lose all that time. Otherwise yes I'm starting to want to count the days.
Thelma, Love the workouts! I'm going to have to make myself some type of daily routine. I have so many projects that I have planned, but I also have things like cleaning out my closet and house organization to do. I also will need to paint the kitchen, doesn't look like DH will do that project on his own accord.
Have a great day!
Laurie0 -
Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 60 minute spin. I didn’t feel nearly as energetic through it as I did my Tuesday spin, but it still felt good.
Thelma, great workouts. I was surprised when you said your snow melted yesterday. Ours stuck around and we got more this morning. But the sun is out now. It is cold, but next week we are headed towards the 70s. Just a 50 degree difference.
Kind of crazy.
Laurie, great workouts. I love the sound of knee-friendly Tabata. I really hope you get some good, clarifying news on your retirement today. I definitely hope they either pay out your leave or tack it on to your retirement date. But to toss it away would be pretty wrong. I saw that about Cathe’s new series. I will be curious to hear more about it. I may be tempted by some of the cardio workouts but I am not inclined to commit to this series for sure. It isn’t that I don’t like the workouts from LMR. It just is that I am not sure what she is trying to accomplish with them either, so I am having a hard time figuring out how to use them outside of the odd recovery or less intense workout day here or there, which they are good for. But I don’t really need more of those workouts at the moment. So……we’ll see.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! It is very cold here. I never wore a hat in Boston, but I'm wearing one here! LOL. I've never been so thankful to have a down coat.
Next week will much warmer during the daytime, BUT the weather guy says that the polar vortex will send us more arctic air in March! NOOOOOO!
My workouts on Thursday were walking, Hot Power Yoga and CG Iron Day 5 - Biceps, Triceps and Abs.
Laurie, great workouts!
I watched a recent KCM video tonight. It's called Intro to Coffey Break. I wasn't sure if it was a KC thing, so I watched it without reading the description. I didn't recognize the woman in the video, but it was KCM. She has a horrible blonde hair color and looks much thinner.
I read Cathe's announcement, and I won't be purchasing anymore of her workouts. I've tried a few of the LMR I workouts but not all of them.
If your employer has allowed you to accumulate a lot of PTO, they should pay you for it. If they won't, then you better start taking your PTO now!
I think the key to doing well in retirement is to have a vision of how you're going to occupy your time. Too many retirees don't know what to do with their time after retirement and do nothing. Sounds like you already have a good plan. You'll also probably spend more time with the grand babies. I definitely had yoga and exercise in my plan.
Laurel, great workout!
You would've never known we had snow on Wednesday. We did get a little snow on Thursday morning. This weather is crazy.
Has Cathe always come up with a new program every year? It just seems that she's running out of ideas. I don't like some of what I call filler workouts in her newer programs. The chair yoga and the foam roller massage are two of those filler workouts. They're pretty useless to me.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Morning Ladies,
Our workout last night was an easy one (for me), DH had a bit of a struggle with this one. We did PJ's Recovery Workout to Improve your Flexibility. Well DH is not flexible, so he was struggling. This morning I must not have hit the snooze button so overslept.
We will be heading up to my Mom's tomorrow and returning on Monday, so I will not be online until Tuesday.
Talking to HR was very informative. He said that my paper work will be easy, since I don't have to deal with the healthcare part of it. I'm on DH's plan. I just have to talk to my boss to get his okay on the vacation that I have. I will probably be leaving in June, but my retirement date would be July 1.
Laurel, Good job with the spin despite not feeling the energy. I hear you on the new workouts, it appears that she is upping the intensity on the weight workout. Really don't understand what that means, but then again I have not tried the new workouts. I'm hoping to do this series once DH and I have more time to give it our full attention. I enjoy a lot of the PJ cardio workouts, because my knees really do feel okay afterward and the next morning. Surprisingly she has given me even more low impact options than I had previously. DH has had to use a lot of them, because he has never ever worked out before, and some moves are just not doable for him. Very weak core.
Thelma, Great job with the workouts! Polar vortex noooo! We are headed into a nice weekend, I have not had the will to look further. Kelly recently started looking super thin, she started a new workout routine and eating. I thought she looked great before. Still remember when Cathe got super ripped for the Hardcore series, and she had that same gaunt look. Her abs looked great though, and so do Kelly's.
Not sure that I want to be that dedicated. I will for sure be busy with the grandkids.
Have a great weekend,

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Meso 3 Disc 36/Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps followed by 4DS Kickboxing and Core.
Thelma, great workouts. It was just brutally cold here yesterday and over night. But the sun is out now, and even though it is barely above freezing, it feels much warmer. I am like Laurie right now in that I refuse to look past next week’s weather forecast. I am so beyond ready for this winter to be over that I don’t want to face another polar blast. Cathe has done a workout series or a group of workouts mostly every year for several years now. I think the only years she has missed in the past 20 years or so was when she was injured or following her longest series like STS and 2.0 which took over a year to complete. I think she is struggling with aging and an aging audience to be honest. But I think she keeps doing DVDs because they help keep her gym in business (she said as much during COVID).
Laurie, great workout. My DH would struggle mightily with a flexibility workout as well. But I applaud your DH for attempting it. I am glad you got some good information from HR and that you are close to being able to identify a date. So exciting. I just read Cathe’s description of her new series. Honestly, I am not interested in the main workouts, but am interested in the bonus workouts and the four workouts she is going to release digitally during the pre-sale. So I will be in a bit of a conundrum when it comes to hitting order on a presale. Price will probably be a factor. Hope you have a good visit with your mom.
Enjoy the weekend.
