Hi Ladies! Monday didn't go as planned at all. One of my female cats has another UTI. We spent the afternoon was spent at the vet's.
I had a headache and my eyeballs hurt by the time we got home. Needless to say, I didn't feel like lifting weights, so I did a Gina B Low Impact workout.

    Laurel, great workouts!
We hit 66 degrees here on Monday. I still needed long sleeves and a lite fleece jacket, though. It was the perfect weather for me.

If you can get the new workouts digitaly, don't bother with the DVDs. You can always buy the indivudual DVDs later, too.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

No workouts all weekend, but we did have a very nice visit with my Mom. Of course she sent a bunch of things back with me. I have a quilt project, and some embroidery projects to do. These are things that I will give back to my Mom when I'm done with them. ;) She is doing okay with her new hip, but now her other hip is bothering her. She does need to move a bit more, that would help. She did say that she should be doing more of that. Seems her neighbors think she shouldn't be moving around to much and want to do things for her.

This morning I woke up late, guess the driving made a lot more tired than I think it does.

My boss said that I can take all my vacation in the month of June. So I will be retired as of July 1, but gone from work June 1. So excited.

Laurel, Great job with all the workouts! Saw that you did Kickmax and then went, she's crazy! :D That one was always a tough workout. I can see why you would want the bonus workouts. Since you have the On Demand it probably will be a much better option to use that instead of buying the DVD's. The DVD's will go on sale at some point, so if you like the individual workouts you can buy the DVD's.

Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! For sure we will be incorporating more flexibility in the rotation. We have been having the warm temps, but only in the 50's. Sorry to hear about your kitty having that UTI.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Chest w/Bonuses and the half high/half low impact and bonus pyramid workout from Perfect 30. Both felt really good today.

Thelma, I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. I hope she is feeling better. Great job getting a workout in despite the long day at the vet.

Laurie, glad you enjoyed your time with your mom. I am glad her new hip is doing well and hope she doesn’t have to have another surgery on her other one. But it sounds like you have some good projects in your future, which is always fun. Yay on having your retirement date!! I am so excited for you.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Tuesday's workouts were walking, Yin and CG Iron - Day 6-Quads. This quads workout should've been called The Bulgarian. There were a lot of Bulgarian sets!

The kitty with the UTI is doing much better. My other female cat vomited blood the other morning so I'm taking her to the vet on Thursday.

We're under high fire danger conditions!

Laurie, I am so glad you had a nice visit with your mom! I'm sorry her other hip is bothering her now. She sent you home with homework? LOL

I am so happy your boss allowed you to take your vacation in June, so you can start your retirement in June!

Laurel, great workouts! I'm glad the workouts felt good!

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout last night was PJ's Low Impact Cardio & Abs. This morning I did Gentle Morning Pilates with Rachel.

Laurel, Very nice workouts, and it really sounds like a great combo. I also hope that mom doesn't need to go in for surgery again. She still has the mobility issues with her shoulder also. I'm glad that she is always on the go though. She and her girlfriends get together and someone in the group makes dinner once a week. When we where up there I made dinner, and she is probably going to make that one for her friends. Of course she sent us back with goodies also, so DH and I are restricting ourselves to limited amounts of that during the week. It's hard to resist her date bread though. :D

Thelma, Good workouts! My knees really don't like those lunges, I have been having to put my foot on the floor for those. I hope that your other cat is okay. LOL about mom sending me home with homework. I guess that is what she did, and very sneaky of her. :D My sister left three sewing machines that she wants tuned up also. I love my family. <3

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Legs with Bonuses and a 30 minute spin. And a 45 minute walk through the still bare trees enjoying the 75 degree temperatures. I went out in capri length leggings and a short sleeve t-shirt and I was hot! Such a far cry from last Saturday when I was walking in my heaviest coat, gloves and hat. The sunshine felt so good. B)

Thelma, great workouts. I really don’t like Bulgarian squats, so I admire you for getting through that. Nothing about that move feels good to me anymore. Yikes on your other kitty! I hope she is okay. I am glad your kitty with the UTI is feeling better. And I forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday yesterday. Happy Belated Birthday. I remember because you share a birthday with my sister. :)

Laurie, great workouts. I love that your mom is still so active. I really think that is key for longevity. I don’t think the date bread would have made the trip home if I were in your car. :D It sounds like your family is going to keep you busy with your crafts and hobbies when you retire. That is so fun.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! My workouts on Wednesday were walking and CG Iron Day 7 - Shoulders and Triceps. CG does the shoulder and Arnold presses sitting on a chair. I need to do this all the time because I'm able to lift heavier weights.

    Laurie, great workouts!

Clearly your mom and your sister were prepared for your visit! LOL. How many sewing machines does your sister have? I love that your mom is active and has a group of friends to get together with.

    Laurel, great workouts!
You guys really warmed up there! We haven't hit 70 here yet.

Bulgarian squats aren't fun at all. Since I had that accident, I only hold one dumbbell, and I hold on to something with the other hand. I am using my workout bench, which is not going anywhere, but I am too scared to hold weights in both hands.
Thanks so much for the birthday wishes. I couldn't remember who the other person was I share a birthday with! LOL
I hope my kitty will be OK, too. She seems fine, but I have the feeling she may have IBD. I hope it's not lymphoma.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

We didn't workout yesterday evening. DH didn't get home until after 6pm. He was at the oldest house getting her Ikea cabinets installed in the closet. Looks really nice. Well the whole kitchen looks beautiful, and they have a lot more space now. This morning I did a 12 min. Cardio workout with Kelly. She used the step, but I did everything on the floor. I actually enjoyed the workout even though it was short. :D

Laurel, Awesome job with the workouts! Nice that you where able to get outside and not having to have a coat on at this time of the year. We didn't get that warm yesterday, only in the high 30's. This is when you have to have multiple coats available, because the winter coat can be way to warm with this type of weather. :D I still have not taken a bite out of the bread, but that will probably change this weekend. :D

Thelma, Love the workouts! Nice that you are able to lift heavier while sitting. You also don't use momentum while sitting, so the concentration on the muscle is greater. My sister does house cleaning as a side job. She will go in to houses that the parent has passed away, and the children just want the house cleaned up. They will give her the sewing machines. For the most part she gives them to her daughters or keeps them. Don't know how many she has. One of the machines that she wants tuned up is a really good one.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Back with Bonuses, 2.0 Standing and Floor Core and Gloved Up and Sweaty.

Thelma, great workouts. Great job with the shoulder presses. As Laurie said, sitting while doing those moves is really good for preventing momentum as well. So it is a win-win for sure, especially on that move. We ended up warming up to 78 yesterday! But, of course, it is significantly cooler and cloudy today. But yesterday felt really good.

Laurie, great workouts. Sounds like your DH is busy with lots of home improvement projects with your DDs. I think that is wonderful. No doubt your oldest really appreciates it right now as she is preparing for her new little one. Yes, we have reached the time of year where multiple layers are necessary and there is no telling where the weather is going to be one day to the next. But I will take it since it means we are marching toward spring. :)

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! My workouts on Wednesday were walking and CG Abs.

Laurie, great job getting a workout in before work! I bet your DD's kitchen looks beautiful. It must be a relief to have it done before the baby arrives.

It is true that you don't use momentum while sitting.
Your sister must have quite a collection of sewing machines!

    Laurel, great workouts!

I really have to remember to do my shoulder presses sitting down. The fact that it helps prevent momentum allows me to engage the muscles properly.
I can't believe you've had such warm temps already! I've not been paying attention to the temperatures, but it definitely wasn't that warm here.

    Have a great weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday was PJ's Chest and Tricep Workout. Really enjoyed this on also. She did two weight exercises for 45 sec each, and then push ups. She started at 8 and went down the ladder as the workout progressed. This morning I did shadowboxing with Kelly. :)

Looking forward to a quiet weekend, but I do have to get some chores done before I can get into my basement.

Laurel, Got to love those workouts! Wow on the temps in your area, we have the cold wind this morning. :( The oldest is very happy with how the kitchen and the pantry turned out. Of course my oldest is into the all white, not my thing, but she needs to do it the way she likes it. ;) She wants to have a party on her birthday, but calling it a nesting party. Basically we invite the cousins and Aunts to help prepare for the new baby. No presents, just help with organization. I think that is a way better idea, because she has all the clothes she just needs them washed and organized. Of course we will need to feed them, and it will be a fun time to chat. :D

Thelma, Nice job with those workouts! DD's kitchen is almost the opposite of ours. We have the darker cabinets and light countertop. Hers is light cabinets with dark countertop and floors. The wood floors are beautiful, she just needs some more carpets down. It tends to have the hallow sound without them.

    Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Triceps with Bonuses and Cardio Party with the Calorie Crush. I hadn’t planned on doing the latter, but since my 2.0 Tricep workout today was my last workout in this six month STS 1 & 2 rotation, I decided to celebrate with something fun. :) I loved this rotation and am very pleased I was able to do it with just one recovery week half way through. I made sure to do every recorded minute of both series during the rotation, which feels good to have been able to do. But I am also happy it is over. I have no plan for what I am doing next, and I think it will be that way for several weeks. My mind needs a break from the routine more than my body does for sure.

Thelma, great workouts. I alternate sitting and standing for a lot of those moves where the arms are over my head. I have limited range of motion in both shoulders, so sometimes sitting restricts my motion too much. But I actually prefer the way the moves feel when I am sitting. So I figure it out as I go. :) I heard we might get hit with storms next week. Have you heard anything? I guess it is that time of year now that March is arriving.

Laurie, great workouts. Boxing is always a good way to start the day. I love the sound of a Nesting Party. That makes so much more sense for a second baby than a baby shower. Hope you enjoy the quiet weekend.

    See you Monday.

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was good but incredibly busy.

It got cold here again. We're getting hit by two cold fronts this week.

Our oven died Friday night as I was taking out the bread that had just finished baking.
The power went off on the stove and microwave above when I opened the door to get the bread out.
I had DH troubleshoot the oven and it turns out that the igniter died. He ordered one from Amazon, which should be here on Monday. I was very excited thinking the oven had died and we'd be getting a new stove. LOL
We had to bake our pizza and a sourdough loaf on the grill.

My workouts on Friday were walking, gentle yoga and Barre Sculpting. The instructor killed us on Friday!
    Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and Tracy Steen Hiit with weights.

    Laurie, great workouts!
What a great idea to have a Nesting party on your DD's bday!
Our kitchen cabinets are dark. I would like to paint them to a lighter color, though. Maybe someday.

Laurel, great workouts and congratulation in finishing the STS 1 & 2 rotation! Wow! Good job!

We are going to get hit with that crazy storm Tuesday night into Wed morning. I heard we could have hurricane force winds.
I am really worried about the fires in NC, SC and here. I don't know if there are fires burning in AL.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

We had a very quiet but productive weekend. I did my chores and then it was down in the basement for the remainder of the day on Saturday. We did get our workout in and did PJ Strengthen Your Back and Improve Posture. This one did include Biceps also. Overall good workout. This morning I did Upper & Lower Body Sculpt Workout with Rachel's Fit Pilates.

Laurel, Congratulations on completing that rotation! I don't blame you for not knowing what to do after that, but I'm sure you will find some fun workouts to do until your brain is ready to create a new challenge for you. Sometimes I think it can be even harder to find a workout when you don't have a plan. :D

Thelma, Great job with all your workouts! Dang on the oven, but glad to hear that your DH is able to fix it. Of course it's always nice to have a new stove. I love mine. We build our hose in the 90's so everything is oak. Of course when we sell, the new owners are going to be painting everything. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours was good. Saturday was warm but surprisingly windy, so after some errands and an attempt to do yard work that ended in a mess because of the wind, we opted for a super long walk which felt great. Sunday was cold but calm, so we finally got the yard work done plus some chores inside.

For workouts, on Saturday I did a walk with Jessica Smith and 30 minutes of Peloton yoga. Yesterday was a tough 45 minute spin followed by Perfect 30 Mobility Basics. And today was Cathe Live Tuned Up Trisets-Lower Body followed by LMR Functional Pilates Fusion. I think this week I am going to do one moderately intense workout and one recovery workout each day. So far, two days in, it feels good. :)

Thelma, great workouts. I thought about you when I saw those fires in the Carolina’s. Yes, we were on fire watch all weekend, but as far as I have heard we don’t have any big fires burning. The bad weather for us is supposed to come through tomorrow about dinner time. Right now they are predicting winds about 50mph which does not please me, but aren’t hurricane force. I really hope you don’t get much worse than what we are supposed to get. I am glad your DH will be able to fix your oven, but I understand wanting a new one. :D

Laurie, sounds like a nice weekend. Great workouts. Yesterday I decided I needed something of a framework for my workouts this week because just winging it each day probably would not have been effective. So I am going to alternate cardio and strength days this week and, like I said above, adding on a recovery-type workout each day as well. I think my body is going to be very happy. :)

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Monday's workouts were walking, power yoga and CG Iron Day 8 - Glutes and Hamstrings.

DH was able to fix the oven. I'm back in business!

The storm we're expecting Tuesday night is supposed to give us 1-1.5" of rain.

    Laurie, great workouts!
I'm OK with our stove, but it sure would be nice to get one with air fryer functionality.

Laurel, great workouts and rotation strategy!
I hope the storm won't be as bad as predicted.

The hummingbirds are expected to get here by mid-March.

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday was PJ's HiiT Cardio Workout. Both of us really enjoyed this one. This morning I did Full Body Hourglass Workout with Rachel's Fit Pilates.

Laurel, Great job with those workouts! I like your plan going forward, and of course it sounds like your body is enjoying it also. I think that is why I'm continuing to do these easy pilates workouts in the mornings. Gets the joints moving. I like that you went on that long walk, take that you dang wind! :D We had that wind this weekend also, and today is rainy. We still are getting the cold, so snow may be in the forecast for tonight. We are getting into that spring mode, the rain had that smell to it this morning. :D

Thelma, Nice workouts! So glad to hear that your oven is running again. I'm always surprised at how many options are available in these new ovens. We purchase the double oven, so one of them is a convection. When having parties it sure was nice having two different temperatures available. You are ready for those hummingbirds. We are seeing the geese heading north. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Cathe Live Love Me Some Cardio Kickboxing followed by LMR Functional Yoga Fusion, which felt really good today.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad your oven is fixed. I saw this morning they are now predicting 70mph winds this evening. :o No doubt we will lose electricity. I just hope our trees stay up. They haven’t mentioned how much rain we are supposed to get. I hope you get some though. Stay safe tonight!

Laurie, great workouts. I want to come up with my a long range plan for my workouts where I incorporate more yoga or Pilates or stretching. I need to make it a workout priority instead of an add-on. Hopefully over the next few weeks, I can figure out how to balance my need for intensity with my need for recovery better than I have been doing lately. I bet you are ready to be done with snow right now. I have a daffodil blooming! Just one, but it is a sign of spring for sure.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Tuesday's workouts were walking, Yin and CG Abs.

The storm is pretty bad. The wind is scary strong. I can't even begin to imagine the damage it's causing. We are getting rain and I'm thankful for that. Our walls are mostly glass and the rain is hitting the glass pretty hard even though we have a wraparound covered deck.

    Laurie, great workouts!!

Laurel, great workouts! I hope you and your home are safe tonight. It's a pretty powerful storm.

    Morning Ladies,

Guess MFP changed some things yesterday, this comment section is a bit different and we have more emojis. 🤪

Yesterday we did PJ's Quick Legs & Abs. It's a good thing that it was quick, DH and I where at the church setting up for Ash Wednesday. That took a bit of time. This morning I did an All Standing Cardio Workout with Rachel.

Laurel, Great workouts! I'm guessing that you will be doing some catch up on the live workouts during this time. My body made the decision that the intensity wasn't something that I could do anymore. It made me venture into the low impact, but still intense world. DH still needs more instruction not as fast paced as say a Cathe low impact workout. Some day we will get to that point. Hope that your area didn't have damage with those winds.

Thelma, Nice workouts! Dang on that wind, hope everything in your area is okay also. We will be having 50mph winds starting this afternoon. We had rain yesterday and through the night.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Cathe Live Sweat and Shred Upper Body. This was a really good high rep, metabolic upper body workout. I followed it with STS 2.0 Mobility 2, which was great.

Thelma, great workouts. Our storm was bad last night but not so much that it kept me awake. I know there are some trees down in the neighborhood, but we didn’t even get as much as a broken branch in our yard, which is a relief. Hopefully you got through it without any damage as well.

Laurie, great workouts. After this morning’s and Monday’s workout, I do think I am going to to catch up on some Live workouts for a few week. I really have missed the more metabolic strength training she does in her Live workouts. You aren’t kidding about the changes in posting here. But I like the new emojis. 🏋️

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Wednesday's workouts were walking and CG Iron Day-9 Total Body.

Thankfully, we survived the storm damage free. We are still under a wind advisory through Thursday at 10AM.
We only got about .3" of rain.

    Laurie, great workouts!!
I can't believe Wednesday was Ash Wednesday already! Is it early this year?
    I love the new emojis!

Good luck with those strong winds!

    Morning Ladies,

Yesterday we did PJ's Shoulders & Arms HiiT. Another good workout. This morning my workout was called Lazy Girl Workout. 🛌 It was perfect, because I really was feel the workout from yesterday. I'm going to enjoy these emojis.

Laurel, Good workouts! That live one sounds really good. I know that sometimes those upper body metabolic workouts can be so so on being metabolic. Doing more metabolic will be a good change from the heavy weights that you just went through. Glad to hear that the wind didn't cause damage in your yard.

Thelma, Nice workouts! Glad to hear that you didn't have damage after that wind. Actually this year is later for the Easter season. Last year was early. Lent is very long this year, it covers the whole month of March and the first week of April, with Easter on April 20th. How are your cat's doing after all you went through with them?

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a blast from the past. I did Step Blast, and I really enjoyed it today. I even remembered most of the choreography. 🙂 I followed it with LMR Functional Core Fusion.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad you didn’t get any damage. We had bad wind until about dawn this morning. It got pretty cold last night and is chilly today but the sun is out. I went to the grocery store earlier and I saw my first crepe myrtle of the season in bloom! Unfortunately for us, outside of my daffodils there are few signs of life yet.

Laurie, great workout. I love the name of Lazy Girl Workout. I agree that upper body workouts don’t often feel very metabolic, but she did a lot of compound moves so that helped. My body is much happier right now than it has been for a little while. While doing them, it is easy for me to forget just how taxing heavy weights are on the whole body. So I am going to enjoy this break from them because I know I will go back to heavy sometime.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! I got two hours of sleep on Wednesday, so I skipped lifting. I walked and did a Tracy Steen mobility workout.

    Laurie, great workouts!

I can't believe Easter is late this year!

My cat is doing better. We took the dogs for their physicals and the vet told us Gigi has another UTI. The vet said female cats and dogs develop UTIs frequently. These girls are killing me!

    Great workouts Laurell!

It was very cold here too. The wind died down in the late afternoon.

My hydrangea and miniature lilac are showing signs of life.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

Yesterday DH and I did PJ's EMOM Cardio. Another good workout. This morning I was sore, so did some Yin Yoga.

Laurel, Great job on the workouts! That really is a blast from the past. 😉 The workout we did on Wednesday was and upper body hiit. I enjoyed that one because just one move was cardio.

Thelma, Awesome job for workouts! We have to do what is necessary when we don't get the right amount of sleep. Dang on your animals, but glad to hear that you are on top of it and they are getting treated. I'm sure that is can get crazy.

    Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies! I decided to take the intensity up today to end the week, so my workouts were a 30 minute spin into Cathe Live Total Body Fit Mix, which was a fantastic workout. I ended with the extended mat stretch from the Step Boss series.

Thelma, I am sorry about the lack of sleep. Great job adjusting your workouts accordingly. I am also sorry about your kitty. Hopefully she starts feeling better soon.

Laurie, great workouts. A HiiT workout without cardio is a dream for me. Sounds fantastic.

    Morning Ladies,

Had a very nice weekend, and the weather yesterday was beautiful. We had the screen door open, so nice to get in some fresh air. I'm ready for them to stick to one time like stay on daylight savings time. Jumping back after only 4 months is silly. 😕 Seems to me that it used to be longer than 4 months.

We worked out on Sunday and did a PJ Walking Workout. This morning I did some Yin Yoga.

Laurel, Great workouts! Still love the titles of those live workouts, makes them really sound fun. Glad that you could up the intensity, sounds like you couldn't resist. 😉 How did your week go with less intense workouts?

Thelma, Hope you didn't lose your post! 😲

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Mine was pretty quiet because DH was away with work. I spent a good deal of time starting on my spring cleaning, which always feels good to have done even if it is not enjoyable to do. But I also spent a good amount of time with a book. 🙂. For workouts, on Saturday I did 60 minutes of Peloton yoga. Yesterday was a 30 minute spin into Cathe Live Lower Body Giant Sets and LMR Anytime Mobility bonus. Today was Cathe Live Lean and Mean Upper Body, Cathe Live Fight For Awareness 2 and floor pose yoga from Peloton.

Thelma, like Laurie, I hope you didn’t lose a post.

Laurie, great workouts. I bet that fresh air felt great. I was able to have the windows open this weekend as well, including at night which was wonderful. I agree about the clock changing. I would happily stay in this time year round, even if it means dark mornings in December. We used to change the clocks earlier in the fall and later in the spring (probably about five months apart), but I think this four month change is the compromise for those (like me) who really don’t like the days getting dark so early for that long. Anyhow, my body really is enjoying the change up in my routine right now. I have more energy, of course (and less aches). But I think I didn’t realize how much I was dreading some of those workouts. There is something to be said about choosing your workout on the day instead of having a set rotation for sure.

    See you tomorrow.
