Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 60 minute spin followed by 30 minutes of Peloton yoga + Pilates. These were both great workouts today.

Laurie, great workouts. I am sure you don’t miss your drive to and from work, and as the winter sets in…..it will be so much better.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad Rhettie’s surgery went well. How sweet of you to provide him a safe and comfortable place to rest without the e-collar. I am still so happy that he found such a loving home with you.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Thursday's workouts were walking and TS glutes.

Laurel, great workouts! I'm glad you enjoyed them.
I am really happy we were able to give Rhettie a loving forever home. He's a really sweet boy.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Lower Body 2, Party Rockin’ Step 1 and Peloton yoga. I have felt really strong this week which is a surprise since I am condensing my rotation right now to accommodate for our upcoming vacation and not taking as many rest day. But I’ll take it!

Thelma, great workouts. I am the least observant person on the planet, so keep that in mind when I say this. Is that a new picture of you? Because I love it…..especially your hair!! So pretty. Yes, I realize it may have been up for six years, but that’s just me. DH had been living in England for four years, driving through the town where the base we were stationed at is, and I noticed a 100 year old thatched roof cottage for the first time. In four years of living there and driving through the town every work day. He still laughs about that. Anyhow, you look beautiful.

    Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Ladies! I hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was very good. We got a one-minute passing shower on Sunday afternoon.

My workouts on Friday were walking and Sculpting.
    Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and CG Epic Heat Day

Laurel, great workouts! I'm glad you felt strong last even though you've been pushing yourself harder.

Thank you for the complements! That picture is old. I need to upload an updated one. I find that If I am doing the driving I don't notice certain things. Just the other day DH was driving us somewhere when I noticed something that I should've noticed years ago. LOL

    Have a wonderful week!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours was good. Saturday was spent on errands and yesterday we played golf. Yesterday was cloudy and surprisingly breezy but it was cooler as well, so it was very pleasant to bee outside despite the breeze.

For workouts, on Saturday I did CTX Upper Body Split, LITE Rev’d Up Rumble and yoga. Yesterday was CTX Leaner Legs, a 30 minute spin and yoga. And today was 2.0 Upper Body 2, Cathe Live Boom Boom Pow Kickbox and more yoga.

Thelma, great workouts. Despite it being cloudy both yesterday and today, we still haven’t gotten any rain. But it feels more like autumn now, especially since the wind yesterday started knocking leaves off the trees. I don’t look around when I drive either. DH sees everything and all I see is the road and the cars around me. We had wildly different experiences when we drove to Alaska separately, that’s for sure. 😁

    See you tomorrow.

    Hello Ladies,

We had a very nice weekend. Our car club had a picnic/meeting, and it turned out to be a very nice day. On Thursday oldest dd came over with the boys and they spent the day here. On Friday we spent a lot of time getting the house back in order. 😀 Today was really humid out, so no work outside. It did get better in the afternoon.

For workouts I didn't get a chance to do anything on Thursday. Friday was yoga and a Cardio HiiT workout. Saturday and Sunday where just yoga. Today was yoga and a Lower Body Quads & Hammies workout.

Thelma, Great job with all the workouts! I'm surprised at how many trees we have that still have leaves on them. Our walnut trees dropped all of there fruit, but it still has leaves. Must be all the rain that we received this year.

Laurel, Awesome job with the workouts! I absolutely love the name of the live workout. Boom Boom Pow! 😀 Just the thought of not having to drive in the snow anymore makes me so happy.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies. I had the saddest day today. We had to say goodbye to one of our cats. We adopted her and our boy cat in 2010. It was time to set her free, but it's never easy.
In the morning I was hoping she'd perk up, but she didn't.

I managed to get a short walk in and in the morning I did power yoga.

Laurel, I'm glad you got to spend some fun time with your DH.
    Great workouts!
We got a few drops of rain and that was it.
I also look at the road in front of me when I drive. I've learned to also look at the sides of the road looking for animals that may want to jump out in front of me.
I always freak out when I see drivers looking at the passenger next to them and not the road.

Laurie, I'm glad you had a nice weekend with your car club friends and the grand babies!
    Great workouts!
I can't believe it's been humid there. It's been feeling a lot like early fall here.

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was LIS Turbo Barre and yoga. I have never loved that barre workout, but it felt good today after all the heavy work I have been doing.

Laurie, great workouts. Sounds like a fun weekend. Our oak trees have dumped a ton of acorns this year, and our walnut tree has done the same. The entire yard is a nut farm right now.nbi take it to mean that our trees are healthy. 😀

Thelma, I am so sorry about your poor kitty. You have had such a tough year with your pets. That is so hard. Great job getting workouts in despite that. But be kind to yourself. You’ve been through a lot lately.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, I did two walks with my puppy on Tuesday.

We are actually getting a little rain tonight!

    Laurel, great workouts!

Thanks so much Laurel. We've lost three pets this year. It really has been very hard.

Hi Ladies! Today’s workouts were new ones. On Peloton they have introduced a few spin classes specifically aimed at women in menopause, so I started my workout with the 20 minute version of the class. It was made up of short but really intense sprints followed by longer recoveries. I loved it and can’t wait to try the longer version. I followed it with a class Cathe has taped for her On Demand App as part of her upcoming LMR 2 series. It was Total Body Metabolic Strength. This was a fantastic class. Cathe recommended heavy weigh throughout (STS 2.0 heavy) which kept the heart rate up for sure, especially since many of the moves were compound. So glad I tried this one because it is was short (41 minutes) but felt like an effective total body workout.

Thelma, I am glad you spent some time with your puppy yesterday. We got hammered with rain yesterday afternoon. I was running errands when the sky opened up and was drenched from running from the store to my car about 25 yards away. I am still happy to have the rain despite that.

DH and I are off tomorrow for vacation. I will be back week after next.

    Morning Ladies,

I get so involved in my day that I tend to forget about posting. Crazy how that is, must be because I'm not on the computer all day long. It has been beautiful weather. After Monday's humid weather we had rain come through and that brought the cold weather. This morning it was in the 40's and right now still in the 50's. I have the screen door open, and it's nice and comfortable in the house.

My workouts have been with Michelle. Yesterday was Upper Body Chest & Triceps and this morning was Lower Body Quads & Glutes. I'm following these all up with stretches/yoga that Michelle recommends. I was very surprised at how my legs felt after Monday's workout. I must have used the right weight.

Thelma, Great job with all the workouts! I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. It always amazes me how fast the time goes, it just seem like we just adopted Rocket. It has been 10 years already.

Laurel, Awesome job with the workouts! Enjoy your time away. I'm just glad that we where able to keep up with the falling nuts this year. I think that DH said we picked up about 16 wheelbarrows full of walnuts. In the past we tended to wait until all the leaves fell, but then the walnuts where all slimy by then. 😀 This year our cherry trees didn't produce fruit like past years, so they must not enjoy all that rain.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Wednesday's workouts were Precision Yoga, walking and Tracy Steen Low Impact Hiit.

Laurel, great workouts! I'm glad you enjoyed both classes!
We didn't get as lucky with the rain as you did. My rain gauge only collected 0.2 inches of rain.
I hope you and your DH have a wonderful vacation!

Wow Laurie, it did get cold there! I feel like it's been a little muggy around here during the day.

Great workouts! Did your DH start working out with you yet? How is he doing?

Losing this kitty was hard. I was a mess at the vet's office. I didn't care who saw me cry while we waited for the vet.
I can't believe you've had Rocket 10 years already! I joined MFP in January of 2014. The three of us have been workout buddies for almost 12 years!
What do you guys do with all those nuts?

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Sorry I wasn't online. DD came over with the boys on Thursday, and Friday thru Saturday I was determined to get a quilt done. I can say that my shoulders where really worked out with that quilting. I had to move that quilt this way and that to get it quilted. I used everything that my Mom gave me from all the quilts that she made for the grandkids. I thought it would look crazy with all the different colors, but it really does look pretty. I want to give it away to someone in my family when we get together for Thanksgiving. I will get a pic of it when I have it completed. Right now it has to have the binding finished. This is how I get when I want something off my plate.

Right now for workouts I'm in a "I don't know what I want to do" stage. I have been doing the Michelle workouts. They are okay, but I'm really in the mood for some boxing. So this morning I didn't even do a boxing workout, but a kettlebell. It was perfect for my mood, and it was with Kelly on her youtube channel. It appears that she has moved from the Venmo site to a membership on youtube. She just might be the instructor that I need right now.

Thelma, Hope that you had a great weekend. For the most part it was nice, but cold. This morning it is raining. Great job with those workouts! I would probably have been like you with having to put a pet down. I'm a big crier, so I would be right along with you. Wow has it really been 12 years that we all have been posting, it doesn't seem that long ago.

I will probably post tomorrow, but Wednesday I will be up north with my oldest to visit with my Mom. She has never met dd's youngest boy. I'm sure the oldest will be into everything at my moms. 😀

    Have a wonderful day!

Hi Ladies! It's feeling like fall here but we have no chances of rain in our future.
My workouts were walking, sculpting, Tracy Steen Legs, Tracy Steen upper body, power yoga.

About three weeks ago my third toe got stuck on the yoga mat and I twisted it, but it seemed to be OK until a few days ago. I went to get on my toes and all of a sudden, the base of my toe hurt. It even hurts when I step in the shower's tiled floor. It is not just the base of the toe though, it's the toe joint and the bones the toe is attached to. It feels like it's the joints. This could very well be arthritis or RA, but why all of a sudden? My head is congested AGAIN and I was sneezing a lot. I better start taking benadryl. I just can't win!

We went out to dinner with two couples who are very dear to us and found out that the couple we're closest to is moving back to FL. They are older and sick, so they need to be close to their kids because they now need help. The other couple lives in FL and have a cabin here. They'll sell their cabin and will buy a house on the other side other mountains they said. I don't know what that means distance wise. I felt like had taken two more loses in just a few days. It really made me sad.

Laurie, I want to be adopted into your family so I can a quilt too! I can't wait to see the quilt you're working on.
I bet you're loving seeing the grand babies more frequently now.
Your mom is going to have a wonderful time with the great grand babies!

Great job trying to find workouts that fit your mood. I bet Kelly will get more customers on the YT platform, than whatever she was on before.
It's really incredible, but we have been posting for 12 years. You and Laurel longer for sure.

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! We are back from a lovely vacation in Hawaii. We went back to a place we stayed a number of times when DH was in the Air Force and we would attend conferences in Hawaii. It has been 13 years since we were there and my goodness they made some fantastic improvements during that time. So it was like going someplace familiar but also very new. We loved it. Unfortunately we got word last Wednesday that DH was going to need to travel back to the same island today (!) for work. We knew he was going to be returning but not this quickly. So he is back in a plane right now and will be gone for at least a few weeks.

For workouts while we were gone, we walked every day, played golf and I did yoga. Since we got back, on Saturday I did Cathe Live Metabolic Resistance Training and a spin plus yoga. Yesterday was 2.0 Body Part Shoulders, Cathe Live Kickboxing Plus Core and yoga. And today was a 30 minute spin, 2.0 Body Part Biceps and yoga.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad the chiropractor was able to help your toe. I had a similar thing happen in April, and it took several weeks for it to calm down, so I am glad you were able to get it to feeling better sooner. I am sorry to hear about your friends moving back to Florida. This really has been a tough year of losses for you. I can’t believe we have all been together for 12 years! I joined in January 2009. Never would I have thought I would be posting on this message board for 17 years!!! That’s almost a third of my life. 😲

Laurie, great workouts. I understand the ‘I don’t know what I feel like doing’ mood. I really don’t feel like doing 2.0 still, but I just couldn’t come up with anything that sounded better. So I will do this for a few weeks and, hopefully, I will get inspired to do something else. I hope you enjoyed your time with your mom and introducing her to her newest grandson.

    See you tomorrow.

    Morning Ladies,

I swear that retirement is way way busier than working. 😀 We had a very nice trip to and from my Moms. She is doing really well. The boys did okay with the car rides. The youngest was crying on the way back for about an hour. He finally just put himself to sleep. The worst part of the whole thing was sleeping for those boys. My oldest grandson now knows who my Mom is. He was calling her Big Grandma, and that isn't because she is large. She is an average size female. He doesn't understand the difference between great and big. It was kind of funny. He actually went to my Mom and asked her to read a book to him.

I finished the quilt, and will get a pic as soon as I can. We have finally had a nice sunny day today. For the most part it has been cloudy and rainy with leaves falling like crazy. It is really pretty her with all the colors though.

I have been doing some of Kelly's DVD's. I have been boxing and lifting weights. This morning was her Train Like a Contender Boxing workout. Of course I always put in that yoga session also.

Thelma, Great job with all the workouts! Nice that you where able to find out about your toe. So crazy that such a little thing can cause pain. I'm really thinking about the yt membership with Kelly, it is only $5 a month, which isn't that bad. I'm so cheap sometimes. 😀

Laurel, Awesome job with your workouts! Oh how wonderful that you where able to go to Hawaii for vacation. Can't imagine the jet lag that your DH will have doing that flight back to back. I think that Kelly will be a good fit for me right now. I haven't done boxing in a while so it has been fun to get back into it. I will probably include some of Cathe's boxing into the mix also.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! My workout plans for Monday didn't go as planned because I decided to eat dinner before my workout and I made myself sick.
I felt that could I give chicken another try, so we made air fried chicken tenders. I had marinated the chicken in buttermilk and pickle brine, which was always a favorite of mine. Before I even started to prepare the chicken, the panic attack started, which got only worse as I was preparing the chicken.
I think it took me 45 minutes to eat two chicken tenders. I never drink soda at home but I asked DH to get me a diet Coke to wash the chicken down with. I had made a salad and that is something I can't eat anymore either. I finally had DH get me some honey mustard and that made the chicken go down easier, but I felt like it was stuck down my throat.
It took me hours to feel functional again after dinner. I just wanted to curl up into a ball and die.
It's so weird because when iI say I felt sick, it's not like my stomach hurt or I was nauseous. I think I stayed in panic atack mode and the feeling that the chicken never quite made it into my stomach. It's a weird feeling. I won't be eating chicken or salads again.
At least I've discovered a way to add a few vegetables into my breakfast. There's a trend going on where people make keto style bread with eggs, cheese and shredded carrots and zucchini. I gave the bread a try and I didn't make it right, so it was more of an omelet, but I enjoyed it very much. I made my breakfast egg casserole with shredded zucchini, carrots, onions and a little bit of red and green pepper and lots of spices. I loved it! I am pretty much limited to beef and fish. It really sucks to be so picky. I hate being picky, but that is my reality now.
The other issue I have is that I no longer like leftovers. I always felt that reheated food a day later tasted so much better.

My workouts on Monday were walking and Power Yoga.

Laurel, welcome back! I'm so glad you two had such a wonderful vacation. I can't believe that your DH is on his way back to Hawaii!

Thankfully my toe is back to normal.
I can't believe you joined MFL in 2009!

Laurie, you sure have been very busy since you retired. It is good to stay busy though. I'm glad you had a good visit with your mom and that she is doing well.

How cute of your grandson to call your mom big grandma and to ask her to read him a book. She must have loved having the babies around.

Congratulations on finishing the quilt! I can't wait to see it!
The leaves are falling here too.

Great workouts! $5 a month for Kelly's YT membership isn't too bad at all, and you always enjoy her workouts.
I am still thinking of doing CG's app membership. I am feeling like doing Iron again, then Iron Pro on the app.

I was so surprised about the toe pain weeks after I twisted it. I had twisted it another time when it got stuck on the mat. I have to be very careful.

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Chest, Rockout Knockout and Peloton Pilates and Yoga. I felt so strong today. At one point in the chest workout I actually double-checked my barbell weight to make sure I had put on the right amount of weight because it felt too light. But I had. I love days like this.

Laurie, I am glad you are staying busy in retirement. That is the best kind of retirement…..filling your life full of things you want to be doing. I am glad your trip to see your mom went well. I think it is so cute that your grandson calls her Big Grandma. Great job with the workouts. I am surprised Kelly’s YT channel is only $5 a month. That is a great deal.

Thelma, I am so sorry about your eating issues right now. It sounds like you are finding some alternatives to replace the vegetables from your salad. Hopefully, over time, this reverses itself. But the body (and mind) are strange things.

    See you tomorrow.

    Hello Ladies,

My workouts today where yoga and Kelly's Powersculpt workout from her LIFT dvd. It was a really good muscle endurance workout.

I was outside for a bit this morning doing some flower bed cleanup. I'm glad that I made my workout time later, because it is very cloudy out right now.

Tomorrow the oldest will be over with the boys, so I may or may not be online. Depends on when they arrive. 😉

Thelma, Good job with the yoga! I'm so sorry to hear that you are having such issues with the foods that you used to enjoy. I have been trying to find some recipes that incorporate more veggies into our meals. I made stuffed peppers on Sunday, and they had zucchini, yellow squash and spinach in them along with the ground beef and rice. I really thought this was the first stuffed pepper recipe that I enjoyed.

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! Nice that you had such a good lifting day. I have been pulling some of Kelly's DVD's and will be creating a rotation. It is looking like full body workouts and boxing in between those days right now. Then I will start exploring some of the yt options.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies, Tuesday's workouts were walking and Tracy Steen Lower Body.
We go a little bit of rain on Tuesday afternoon. The rain gauge had 0.2". Our forecast for next week has the word 'rain' in it for Monday and Wednesday. Fingers crossed!

Laurel, great workouts! How wonderful that you felt so strong!

I really hope these food issues of mine will resolve themselves some day.

    Laurie, great workouts!
I'd love that recipe for the stuffed peppers if you have it available please.

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a fun 30 minute spin into 2.0 Body Part Legs, 2.0 Standing Metabolic Abs and Peloton yoga.

Laurie, great workouts. I love the sound of your new rotation. Anything with a lot of kickboxing is a winner. 🙂 I second Thelma’s request for stuffed peppers. My DH loves stuffed peppers but I have never found a recipe I like very much. Enjoy your time with your DD and grandsons.

Thelma, great workouts. We actually got a surprising amount of rain yesterday even though we didn’t have rain in the forecast until yesterday. It looks like we have a cold spell coming up early next week that may bring rain. It is amazing how quickly summer left and fall arrived, but it always seems to be like that here in October. One day the A/C is on, the next day I am in a sweatshirt.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, Wednesday's workouts were walking, abs and Iyengar Precision yoga. We were doing a lot of twisting and stretching during yoga using a wall strap system to support our bodies. I think I pulled something during one of the twists because my back hurts right below the bra strap area on both sides of my spine. I bet this happened during one of the twists. I didn't feel anything during class, but the tightness set in about two hours after class.

    Laurel, great workouts!
You guys really were lucky to get all that rain. We are also expecting a cold front and possible rain from Sunday to Monday.
DH turned the heat on already! Crazy! I am loving this fall weather.

Hi Ladies! I decided at the last minute to do Cathe’s live class with her today which was Kickbox Crush. It was not very intense at all, which is nice. But I felt like a little more, so I added her class from last week which was Cardio Core Fusion, and it made for a great 60 minute combo workout. I followed it with 2.0 Body Part Triceps and Chair Yoga from Peloton.

Thelma, great workouts. But I am sorry you pulled something in the yoga class. Hopefully it eases up soon. I am loving this autumn weather as well, but we aren’t close to turning on the heat yet. But I have the windows open for the first time since spring, and I am loving the fresh air. I don’t think it will be too long before they need to be closed up….and then the heat will come on.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Thursdays workouts were walking, Iyengar yoga and Tracy Steen Glutes.
Thankfully, my back is a lot better.

I heard a weather guy say that the rain we'll be the cold kind and that heavy rain is expected to hit North GA between Sunday and Monday. One quarter of our county is in moderate drought and the other 3/4 is in abnormally dry conditions. Today we are in high fire danger because of the wind and dry conditions.

    Laurel, great workouts!!

I am not ready about turning the heat on, by DH always turns the heat on too early in the season.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Back, a 45 minute spin and hip-focused yoga from Peloton.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad your back is feeling better. I haven’t seen a prediction on how much rain we are supposed to get yet. But I did just see they are predicting highs in the 50s both Sunday and Monday. 😮 That’s pretty chilly, so if it is raining, it will definitely be a cold rain. The heat may be coming on earlier than I thought it would when I posted yesterday. Surprisingly, we are not in a drought here in our area of Alabama, though most of Alabama is in one. But I still want the moisture since this winter is predicted to be warm and dry.

    Enjoy the weekend!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Mine was part busy, part relaxation. Saturday was the busy day with both cleaning the house and mowing the lawn. Yesterday was much more relaxing with a good portion of the afternoon spent reading. Saturday was a lovely day, which is why I mowed. Yesterday was dreary, so indoors was better.

For workouts, on Saturday I did a 60 minute spin and 60 minutes of yoga. Yesterday was 2.0 Body Part Shoulders, Cathe Live Love Me Some Cardio Kickbox, and Peloton yoga. Today was 2.0 Body Part Biceps followed by Step Boss IMAX 4 with Abs 2 and Chair Stretch.

Thelma, great workouts. Yesterday was mostly dreary here with a little rain, but we got quite a bit of rain over night. But the forecast has us mostly in the 50s all week until the weekend (both highs and lows) with a good chance of rain again on Wednesday. I think autumn has officially arrived.

    See you tomorrow.
