Hi Linda, it was nice out this morning but then a cold north wind blew the clouds in, and lowered the temps to about 25. We're expecting slushy snow tonight, and more snow this weekend. Really that's quite enough. Got a walk in this afternoon before it got cold. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a big bowl of beef stew with lots of bread and butter for dipping, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream, and an iced mocha. One of our local grocery stores sells single pie crusts, and pie fillings, I'm planning on picking some up with my next order. Finally I won't have left over pie tempting me in the fridge. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight and enjoy the warm tropical sunshine. It's really cold out there right now.

Wow, today’s high was 70 degrees! Big difference. Viktor, macaroni and cheese, please. I’m sure that Francois will put all my favorite vegetables in there. Ah, thanks for the iced tea. I’ll be out in the gazebo on the terrace.

Zzyyggy! I didn’t see your post. Yikes, snow.

Blueberry pie and vanilla ice cream for dessert for me, too. I’d like to make a pumpkin pie, although blueberries are great to make this time of year. You can always use the pie fillings on pancakes. I have to stop thinking about this or I might make some right now.

Hi Linda, yes snow, and we had another round of flurries today blah, and it was cold. I am deffinitely going to sit out on the terrace tonight. For dinner I'll have the lasagna with garlic bread and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some brownies, and an iced mocha. Had my first pt session at a new place. It was just the initial testing part, and questions. She covered the whole body, not just the knees, and I'm pooped tonight. My next session is Friday, and I'll be in the pool. Looks like Igor is starting with the Easter decorations. It's a good thing we have our own chickens because he's using a lot of colored eggs, and stuffed Easter bunnies.

TOY BUNNIES! (Including the six foot tall inflatable Easter Bunny standing by the bakery counter.) We wouldn’t want someone to think there were stuffed real bunnies at the cybercafe, unless, of course, if the bunnies ate lots of carrots and then that would be okay.

Francois made a delicious cheeseburger with all the toppings for me and one for Sweetie, too. I ordered the chocolate chocolate chip cake with way too much vanilla buttercream icing and a cup of coffee for dessert. Yes, a fully caffeinated coffee with cream and sugar would be wonderful. It would taste divine and I’m freezing. Hopefully, the coffee will warm me up because we spent the afternoon at Miss Nora’s hair salon in the subzero air conditioning. The high was 68 degrees today with a 15 mph wind and it felt much warmer outside after being in the salon. I’m still cold. I’m going to ask Viktor to bring me my fuzzy bunny slippers and my blue fleece blanket.

Zzyyggy, is the PT for helping with proper gait and balance or for building muscle? I’ve got to get back to my strength training routine. I’m trying to put off knee surgery for as long as possible, but I know it’s inevitable.

I have been so busy I haven't had time to come here. It's so nice to get a break to come here.

For a late lunch today I will take the full turkey dinner (no cranberry sauce) with apple pie w/vanilla ice cream and pumpkin pie with cool whip for dessert.

Hi everyone, welcome back angf. Linda the PT is for both balance and strength. I'm hoping to get some new exercises to take back to the Y. For dinner tonight I'm going to have one of those bacon cheeseburgers with frenchfries and a rootbeer. For dessert I'll have a slice of chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream and an iced mocha. The bunnies peeking out from the grass look really cute down by the pool. I'll eat out on the terrace though. We had lots of sunshine and warm temps today.

Oh, no, Viktor, I’m not sleeping, I’m stargazing and trying to figure out what to have dessert. Everything sounds so good. I wanted to thank you for stocking my M&M’s bucket with pastel colored M&M’s. Which reminds me—I can order some specked eggs and jelly beans and Cadbury eggs and purple peeps. I don’t actually eat peeps, but they’re purple. I’ve been told purple food is good for you. Yes, yes that’s what I’d like, Viktor, please. Coffee would be perfect, too.

I will take a BBQ bot dog and ketchups chips for lunch today with grape pop to drink. I see you took some of those M&Ms and made them into cookies, so I will have a few of those as well. It's a beautiful day for a BBQ

Hi everyone, Viktor I need chicken soup and gingerale tonight please. I am not feeling well. It's mostly allergies, but I'm so stuffed up I can hardly breath. I just took some benedryl tonight so I should be able to sleep. For dessert I'll have some vanilla ice cream, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace. I don't think it's covid, but I haven't tested myself. I'm going up to my neice's on Sunday so I'll test tomorrow, and Sunday morning to be on the safe side. Now it's off to bed with me. Viktor tell Francois he outdid himself on the chicken soup. It's really good.

@Zzyyggy Hope you feel better soon.

For supper tonight I will have meat lovers pizza and mello yello to drink with that yummy 5 layer chocolate cake for dessert. Francois really knows how to make a good cake. Almost as good as my mom did. Though of course, no one can match your mom's cooking.

Zzyyggy, I hope you’re feeling better before Sunday! I used to have really bad allergies so I know how bad it can be. It’s awful to be sick every Spring and Fall.

Victor, I’d like a piece of the same cake Angf ordered, please, and an iced mocha, too.

Hi everybody, I'm feeling a little better today after sleeping in most of the day. Just got up and did some puttering around. Angf, nope nobody does cook better then mom. She has that mom's touch. I'm going to have barbecued chicken. Francois has the grill set up and is barcuing to order. I'll have potato salad with that and fresh green beans with lots of butter. For dessert I'll have some brownies and an iced mocha.

Zzyyggy, I’m glad to hear you’re doing better. You all have me thinking about my mom’s cooking. It’s funny how after all these years, there are still things I make the same way my mom made them. After 51 years of marriage I still make Mom’s coleslaw and potato salad and her German chocolate cake with white icing—nothing tastes better than they do. In fact, I’m going to order them along with the barbecue chicken. I ordered my chicken with the Alabama sauce. Yes, Alabama sauce has a mayonnaise base.

Southerners are known for their love of sweet desserts (and sweet tea) and their love of mayonnaise, preferably Duke’s Mayonnaise. My mom is no exception. She loves her sweet treats. When I was a kid I thought all sandwiches were made with butter and mayonnaise spread on both slices of bread, except peanut butter and jelly, of course. Unfortunately, Duke’s Mayonnaise has extra egg yolk in it and eggs don’t agree with me anymore, so I don’t eat a whole lot of mayonnaise. If you ever visit North Carolina you might also notice that ranch dressing is BIG here, too. Who can resist a dressing made with mayonnaise, buttermilk, and sour cream?

oh! I love a good BBQ. I will have a burger with all the fixings, all dressed chips and mountain dew for drink. That chocolate cheesecake looks really good so I will have that for dessert

It's such a clear night sitting here. It's so great to look up and see all the stars. I live to close to the city to see them at home.

Hi everyone, and Happy Easter. We had a nice warm day at 51 degrees with lots of sunshine, but that wind was cold. Just got home from having Easter Ham with sister, neice, and her family. Now I'm eating my chocolate Easter Bunny. For dinner tonight I'm going to have Easter Brunch with scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, english muffin, and iced coffee. For dessert I'll have some of those cinnamon rolls with an iced mocha. I haven't been out to Easter Brunch in ages. I'll sit out on the terrace and enjoy some warm sunshine.

Happy Easter, everyone. Zzyyggy, I forgot about brunch today, but we had a delicious dinner at our son’s house today. It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm at 85F/30C degrees. I’m getting used to the warmer weather, now I just have to get used to the air conditioning. Everywhere we go there’s cold air blowing on me. Brr.

Betty’s email told me it’s National pineapple upside down cake day today. Wow, wouldn’t want to miss that. Fortunately, Francois already had some in the pastry case, so I ordered a piece with my coffee. Angf has the right idea, it’s the perfect night for stargazing at the cybercafe.
