07/16-191.0 💠 - (Trend Weight: 191.1) No change in weight. Trend down a notch. I am so excited about seeing Superman tomorrow. Very tall grandsons (age 17 & 19) have chosen Golden Corral while downstate for the movie. Such a treat for rural folks like us. My DGS who is autistic (age 9) will also be going with us along with my own adult autistic son. Young DGS has only been to the movies once but is finally able to handle the sound and large colorful graphics (I think). It is going to be fun. I’ll try to be reasonable at the buffet but I know that no matter what happens it will only be a couple of days to shake it off. Honestly, the real challenge is eating bad things for four days straight every week when DD and other DGS are here. They’ve become part of my lifestyle in their current situation and I’ve got to adapt in the healthy ways that keeps me focused on my overall health and weight goals. It’s right in front of me, I see it clearly. I’ve just got to reach harder, reach farther, touch it, then grab it up and make it my own! Observation looking over my week: My meals were very good, my exercise and water much improved. However, my snacks at night were ridiculous. I really have made a pig of myself. I feel like a drowning person who sees a buoy in the water but the nighttime snacks just keep pushing me back, further and further away from that buoy, away from saving myself. It’s sink or swim!

🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 302 (my 232nd). So grateful to @Quiltingjaine to keeping this going for such a long time – thank you.
Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
I need to remain consistent - it does work! I aim to lose a pound this round. Good luck for success everyone.
I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life.

7/10 142 – good that eating on plan is showing results, but need to stick at it. 10.43 miles walked.
7/11 143 – 6.3 miles walked.
7/12 DNW - away for the weekend in Stratford-upon-Avon. 8.93 miles walked.
7/13 DNW - 10.29 miles walked.
7/14 141.8 – 4.83 miles walked around the village before we left for home.
7/15 142.2 – 7.22 miles walked. Meeting DSs & FFs for lunch today; they are all currently doing Slimming World so it will be easy to make sensible choice from menu. Last time we went to this place I had Cajun chicken bowl which was delicious, may choose again.
7/16 142.6 – 10.02 miles walked. I didn’t have the cajun chicken salad bowl, the weather had dropped 10 degrees C & I wanted something warm– jacket potato with chilli was what I ordered. Disappointed with the number, I’m 3 days into a course of antibiotics for a badly infected insect bite, is that affecting the scales? I don’t know, but I’ll stick with it & trust the process.
7/17 142.4 – 8.8 miles walked.
7/18 141.6 – 8.86 miles walked. There's a slim chance to hit my mini goal 🤞.

@itladyee - I'd never heard of a puggle, so I googled it & oh my goodness they are so cute! To be honest I don't like pugs, I've never been able to see the attraction, I know - each to their own, but not on my like list. But these puggles - they are something else!! I can see why you like them, hope you get what you want 😊.

A good start to the round thanks to reasonable eating and excellent exercise. I rode my bike about 19 miles; about half of it was in heart rate zone 3. The bad part was it was the heat of the day. I downed a liter of LMNT drink during the ride and immediately afterward. We belong to a CSA (community supported agriculture.) The farmer gives us a bag full of freshly picked veggies every Tuesday, based on what is ripe this week. This week had the most beautiful kale I have ever seen. That is where my appreciation for kale stops. BUT, DW stir fried it with a bunch of other veggies and it changed everything. Very delicious.
Happy Birthday to Jeff. So, I will have two opportunities for ice cream today. 😊 I hope I can maintain this number.

Continued birthday excuse for me today. I really didn’t deny myself anything yesterday. I did well with protein intake, but carbs high again. Good news is the pie is gone and so are the baked beans. I expected an increase but I will say the 2.4 pound “jump” did surprise me.7/13: 226.0
✏️🎯💓
Amazing what a little bit of discipline will produce. Good exercise to go with a lot of sedentary reading yesterday. Trying for another day of limited damage.7/14: 224.0
✏️🎯💓
Bright side – I am lower than this round’s SW.
Dark side – my birthday celebrations trashed my ten-day average for the round.
Striving to meet ALL my goals,7/15: 223.0
✏️🎯💓
OK I have a three-day streak for meeting all goals. That has helped.I need to conserve calories during breakfast and lunch because we are having a “light dinner” at friend’s after going to the F1 movie this afternoon. They always go over the top with food so be prepared. Drinks will be involved. (I will avoid popcorn at the theater for sure.)
As the most interesting man in the world might say, “I don’t always watch racing, but when I do, it’s Formula 1.”
I need to do some serious thinking about packing for a trip to the Rockies next week.
7/16: 225.4
✏️🎯💓
I had a fantastic bike ride yesterday to go along with a terrible day if eating. I netted out fine, but the scale indicated I am full of it. Literally.F1 movie was really good.
7/17: 223.6
✏️🎯💓
Sometimes I think I am nothing more than an elastic container that I fill up and empty on a daily basis. If the weather holds I am out on another nice bike ride in about 45 minutes.7/18: 224.2
✏️🎯💓
This is my final post until about 8 days from now. I may be able to check-in next round and at least read your updates. It will be a week full of activity and food at high altitude. I will try to keep it down to a dull roar, but I am not expecting a drop. For this round I am happy with a small drop, especially with an indulgent birthday in there.

7/12. P:E 1.33 ✅ Great day yesterday except tweaked my lower back lifting a 35 lb kettle ball with bad form- (wasn’t paying attention / not balanced). Thankfully able to complete all movement yesterday. Hubby got home last night & we’re packing for the beach today (of course after the Wimbledon ladies final) … Leaving tomorrow morning before dawn. Simple / easy recipes w/ fresh healthy, whole foods & electrolytes - everything planned out. This will be a health-fest celebration! (Of course, my land mine is portion control…) But I will wear my #HSF identity. Staying at a resort with pools, basketball courts, beach volleyball tennis & pickle ball cts… a short hop to the beach - a paradise for Tucker / activity ! Will even rent the beach chairs for R&R & gulf breezes! 🏖️ 🎾🏀⚽️🏐🧘♂️🚶♀️🏊♀️🌊⏱️

7/18. 1.27 P:E Kinda surprised I haven’t dropped even an ounce this round… That’s ok - know I’m doing well. My body is stubborn. Family arriving today for wknd. Focused on health. 🚶♀️🏋️♀️ & jumps this morning. Will get back to routine to experience an amazing R303!! I’ve noticed I do NOT have a “weight-loss” mindset - but an “eat right & smart” mindset…. finish 💪🏻 this round! R303 will begin journey to remove 3-5lbs for that BHAG! 6-8 wks?!
NSV: proper planning for vacay & follow-through was an enjoyable experience. I always struggle with portion control, but was mindful & ate healthy…#HSF #ENGAGED

This was my first round in JGMTD. Thank you. I will be back for another round in the future!
7/10 - 169.8 - planned my food for the day. Includes lunch w/ golf buddies as too hot/humid to golf now.
7/11 - 169.0 - local seafood market I buy from having special on lobster rolls today. I'm buying one for dinner. Planning trip to gym for Strength workout. Cardio afterwards. Going to be a good Friday!!
7/12 - 167.2 - friends coming to my house today. Beautiful day to go to the beach! Now, if I can stay away from her baked goodies. Her hubby doing some minor repairs at my house.
7/13 - 167.6 - prepping meals for the future today.
7/14 - 168.0 - book club and lunch. This sounds awful, but the member who is hosting is having memory problems. Her luncheons have not been good, so hopefully won't be a challenge not to overindulge. She doesn't want to give up hostess duties as she has enough awareness to know "something" going on within her. Other members are supporting her…..who knows what our futures will be.
7/15 - 168.6 - Spent the afternoon and evening trying to keep lunch down. I had no problem not overindulging!!
7/16 - 168.4 - Today would have been hubby's birthday! Miss him terribly!
7/17 - 167.8 - Errand day. Getting walk in early before heat comes. No summer storms projected this afternoon, so evening golfing then dinner with golfing gals!
7/18 - 168.6 - Made good choices for dinner, but restaurant sodium kills me. I don't add salt at home and that shows up when I eat out. I did journal food and was within my goals, so know this is due to eating out.
7/19 - At daughter's home for weekend babysitting. No scale available.

@itladyee - Here's really hoping you can find a rescue that fits your needs!! It always seems so rewarding to be saving a fur baby and getting all that love in return! But have to admit the pictures from the breeder show adorable puppies!!
@CamandJarvis - Thank you for your efforts! You are making a difference❤️

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 302
July 10 - 19, 202563 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
SW MFP Sept 14, 2020 – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss if2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
SW MFP Jan 1, 2023 – 146.6GW Maintaining between 124 – 126 SW: 127.6 Since my weight is slowing coming back down, I’ve added back in history details INCLUDING my maintenance numbers. In January, it seemed silly including my goal was to maintain 124 – 126 when I was weighing 138. Those maintenance numbers are in sight now. Just need to get there.
SW: 128.0
7/10 – 129.0 The ice cream I bought for my sister (arriving tonight) is now gone. I guess I pre-gamed my stress eating that typically happens when she is here. She’ll be staying with us until mid-day Monday. All around, I am going to try and handle things better. Oh, I did the math. I was about 1500 calories over by the time I got done. :’(
7/11 – 128.4 Made it through yesterday fine. Planned ahead and tracked completely. I did go over my target by 100, but thoughtfully decided to. Not an uncontrolled binge. My big success was that I weighed out a portion of ice cream (gram setting on scale) and tracked it, instead to treating the whole container as a single portion, which is not uncommon for me.
7/12 – 127.6 Good to see these numbers again. I think is was round 299 that I saw them for a couple days. I handled yesterday well again. No binge eating. Again, weighed ice cream. Sister asked me what I was doing, by weighing the ice cream. I told her that I have no “stop” button, and she laughed (not a mean one). Sis and I are very different. She was voted best body AND most likely to succeed for her graduating class. I always joked that that getting both was not fair. Sis has NEVER had eating problems. Anyhow, today, I’ve got some projects and at the end of the day I am babysitting both grandkids ALONE for the first time ever. I am bringing my electric ice cream maker that has not been used in at least 10 years. Curious what a 5 and 2 year old will think of that. Last night, DD fell on a step and was at urgent care. Claim is bad sprained ankle of her right (driving) foot. Hopefully tonight is on for her and my babysitting.Have a good day all!
7/13 – 127.2 Had a good day. Closing back in on the 127.0 that I saw a couple rounds ago. Yesterday went well, though according to my tracking I did go over, but everything was accounted for. Babysitting the boys went well and gives me confidence enough to say I can do it again. :) Yay! Today is fairly busy with mom visits and working on the stuff in her apartment. I am trying to continually keep ahead of “stuff” collecting there. We are ordering pizza to be delivered to the assisted living for dinner. Two slices and that is it.
7/14 – 127.4 Did well (enough) yesterday. Happy with the X.4 as it is the same general number as the X.2 from yesterday. Did have two slices of a deluxe topped pizza and measured ice cream at dinner time. Was spot on. Then I saw some pretzels leftover from hubby’s Saturday fishing trip. I got into them, but stopped at about two servings, putting me over by about 250 cal for the day. I am ok with this. Sis leaves today, so I think I have handled her visit well from the point of view of not binging. NOW, I need to make sure I don’t do a POST visit binge. Yes, I have done that a number of times. Dinner tonight is at MIL’s, she is serving tripe to those that eat it. Not me. I should be ok not overeating this evening. :P
7/15 – 128.0 so yes, sis leaving did let me let loose a bit. I had eaten enough calories for the day before noon. Afternoon went well. MIL’s went well. I hardly ate from the non-tripe food, which was fine as (No surprise) I was not hungry due to my actions earlier in the day. This worked out well as I fed and played with 2 yr old DGS#2 while mom got to enjoy a meal. Came home, and was still not hungry but proceeded to get into some ice cream and most of a box of black liquorice crows. Today will be good. Busy, and hubby is eating out. I’ll sort myself. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
7/16 – 127.6 can’t think of much interesting to say. Yesterday was fine. Could have been a little better, but reasonable.
7/17 – 127.6 Slight overeating these past several days, plus my 7/14 binge. Except for the binge day, I am ok with my target ending up at 1700-1800 cal. It clearly could be a non-exercise maintenance calorie target. It could be useful to possibly know this number for when I get back to 125.
7/18 – 127.6 Total gift. Had a perfect calorie day, but after taking disabled mom to cardiologist, getting home, cleaning, packing, loading car and cats, driving to Maine in rush hour with one eye open, to then learn sister’s needed a family meeting, I grabbed the remaining two chocolate truffles in the box (ok, not bad). The sugar triggered salt cravings, and I found a package of mini salami bites. Ate the whole thing expect for the few DH managed to obtain. Then I needed sugar, went for the rest of the prunes in the box. Then stopped. Felt gross. Almost did not step on the scale this morning, but decided that I had to push through. Occasionally, one skipped scale day turns into a snow ball, and I could see this being a moment. Maybe the scale sensed that and decided to be kind. (like it could actually do that /s ). Anyhow, surprise, I am not hungry this morning. Going to be cautious today as DH is taking me out tonight to a new restaurant we have never tried, up in South Portland, Maine.Oh, and I made an appointment for MOG dress alterations. They booked me for next Thursday. A little earlier than I planned, but really, how much different would I be at the two weeks later that I was targeting.

@itladyee Both Harry and Han Solo, our two cats, are rescues. Han had been abandoned outside by their owners, and was rescued. Harry's owner went into hospice, relinquished Harry, and asked the shelter to find him a good home. They've been family almost eight years now.

“Felt gross”
I know that feeling well! What I am trying to do in this journey is to implement “feeling disciplined and strong“ (#HSF mantra) BEFORE “feeling gross“.
It’s definitely a mind-game with me… Would I rather feel “clean/strong” versus “feeling gross…” It’s simply one or the other…. Learning to stop and think of my choices rather than barging through… of course, I haven’t mastered any of this yet!Thank you for sharing your thought processes during that conundrum… I’m sure we can all relate!

My goal for this round is to end better than I started.
SW Round 302: 216
7/10: 214
7/11: 214 - I did get my exercise in yesterday but the stress from just personal life sunk in and I binged on snacks last night. The day started off better then it ended but today is a new day.
7/12: 214
7/13: 213
7/14: 212 - Didn't do much over the weekend. I loved the taste of Oath protein (the clear ones) so I bought some more before Amazon Prime days were over. This time I bought the Coconut one and it arrived yesterday. I haven't tried it yet but plan on working it into my macros today. The lemon one was so good and I pray this flavor is just as good! Trying to motivate myself into working out, I have been so tired lately. I think I may need to look into taking a B12 supplement. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good quality B12?
7/15: 215 It's so odd that our weight fluctuates as much as it does. Although it's not a good feeling that the weight went up, I still like weighing everyday to help keep me accountable. I tried the Coconut Pina Colada clear protein shake and it's just as good as the lemon one! I think these will be my new favorites for a while. I only got in one 30 minute exercise yesterday. I had planned for two 30 minute sessions. I feel like I juggle so much and I am all over the place. I have plans written out and time blocked off, I just have to be more mindful of sticking to my plans. Today's schedule only allows me a 30 minute exercise session but I will see what I can do to add some additional activity.
7/16: 215 not sure why the scale is up again, I did get in my workout yesterday, it was Iron day 7 which was just shoulders so it kind of felt like I didn't get a "Good" workout because it wasn't hard. I think I may need to tighten up my food. I almost feel like I need to carry my phone around with me more in the house so if I change up a snack or add something quick to eat, I can remember to add it to my food journal. I was more active yesterday as well, seemed like I had a bit more energy and was able to get some of, if not all of, my house chores done. Being an adult sounds so boring, lol!
7/17: 213 - Nice to see the scale go back down. I didn't workout yesterday. I was really stressed about work and how my boss treats me. I was just so down and upset that I couldn't find the motivation to do my workout. I really need to find a way to start my own company/business so I can work for myself.
7/18: 213.5 - I mostly stuck to my food plan yesterday. I feel like if I really want to start to see some progress, I need to be stricter with my food intake, journal EVERYTHING and stop eating over planned calories. I was able to get in my workout yesterday but it was only 30 minutes so I don't feel like I am doing enough. Trying to work my way up to at least 30 minutes of strength training and then 30 minutes of any other type of movement. I keep looking at walking pads but I have a trampoline that I should be using and I am not so I think I should start using that as I had intended before buying more equipment, lol!

Measurable Daily Goals
🚶🏽- Closing my rings M-S Move = 700/Exercise = 45/Stand = 12)
🍎- Tracking/Under Calorie Budget (~ 1650 ~)
✅ - Macros - Protein (75g - 100g) Carbs < 75g * Ignoring macros this round, focusing on calories
🏋️♂️ - ST - Twice per week
💧- Water - 50 oz minimum
🚫 - No Wine
⬇️- Downward trend
🚶🏽🍎✅💧🚫⬇️SW RND 3️⃣0️⃣2️⃣ ~ 230.6 Goal this round 227.6 or less than started, whichever comes first!
7/10 231
7/11 230 (afternoon weigh)
7/12 230.6 Late to the party. I need to rev it up to get this number moving…Based on the last few days…I’m actually happy to see it.
7/13 230 ~ got to get back to posting in the morning….Tomorrow is Monday, back to an almost normal schedule. Gotta get these numbers moving down!!!
7/14 231.2 ~ Starting the day off right, at least with a morning check-in. It's going to be a great, productive day!
7/15 230.6~ late getting in here today. My patio/landscaping is done, so my morning routine is now watering bushes and trees! And today is a workday, so there are more restrictions on time. Surprised, yet not at that number. Not…because it's where I've been hovering forever, and yes, because I got a last-minute request yesterday to join a group of old co-workers for dinner. I did and had a great time. What I didn't immediately remember is that I had hired most of them, and at some point, they all reported to me. Funny. It was a fun get-together. So a couple of drinks and a nice burger…I expected a bump on the scale..but I did hold out most of my calories for dinner. Maybe it's the dreaded delay!
7/16 232 Ah ha….there it is….yesterday wasn't a great day either. Over in calories and late dinner due to it being a work day. Today is also a work day but hoping I can get dinner on the table earlier….
7/17 DNW ~ I jumped up, put on clothing, started laundry, and didn't feel like disrobing again. I suspect a bit down, I'll face the scale tomorrow. Have a doctor's appointment for my sister this afternoon, so I'm off schedule. I'm hoping to not schedule anything for a couple of weeks as they said it takes two weeks to get back the genetic results. That will give me time to put my schedule back together again….Although, I did just plan a lot entertaining stuff for next week (two back yard BBQ's, a baseball game and a pizza outing…. oops!
7/18 231 ~ hoping to break even this round….next around…adding back the structure… all over the place this round!!
7/19@_JeffreyD_ @musicsax Puggle = Pug + Beagle. I've never had a pug and haven't been to crazy about them either …but I did see a cute one at the airport a few years back. I have had a beagle. The combo makes for the perfect dog…ok, now i have to post a Yoda picture…. Ironically it was exactly 2 years today that Yoda crossed over the rainbow bridge.
This was one of his "glamour" shots!
He had his own "style"….
Oh, one of my favorites. This shows a perfectly comfortable dog!! Puggles do NOT like you to touch their paws…. if you can rub your puggles paws….you have earned their trust for life!!@ldcritt ~ glad you enjoyed JGMTD, drop in any time!

SW Rnd 302 132.0
7/10 133.0 I actually had a small serving of angel hair and fresh sourdough bread. I expected the uptick to be worse.
7/11 134.0 Late salty supper? Or continued reaction to carby dinner the night before? I’ll ride the wave 🏄♀️ 🌊 I did something to my knee just walking in the house yesterday. I plan to go to water fitness but I’m not sure about some of the exercises.
7/12 133.5 (corrected my dates) Yesterday was a good day. My knee feels better but not perfect. Will take it easy but I think I need to make a couple of loaves of bread for friends.
7/13 132.0 I didn’t make bread yesterday. Met DD and DGGS for lunch and DSIL joined us briefly after his eye appointment.
7/14 132.0 Terrible night, couldn’t get to sleep. T-bone and asparagus for OMAD today. Need to mix up a couple of protein shakes to have on hand, if needed. Edit: Finally TMI after 3 days
7/15 132.0 I was going to see if the widow neighbor wanted to go to Golden Corral today because DH is going to lunch with our blind friend but I feel I have had my eating under control the last 2 days and I don’t want to blow it. Neighbor had mentioned that she doesn’t enjoy eating out alone.
7/16 132.0 WORST VERTIGO EVER! Bingo tonight so I hope this passes!
7/17 133.5 The worst of the vertigo had passed by mid-afternoon. Nachos for dinner at bingo last night 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ Near panic this morning as I somehow deleted all 8 YEARS of my JGM10D journal from my notes!
7/18 134.5 Golden Corral yesterday. I did have a small serving of ice cream but the rest was protein.

Since we're likely eating out for dinner tonight, I pre-logged what I guessed we'd eat. I have my veggie, tofu, and lentil curry for lunch (last serving!). I'm set to be close to or slightly over maintenance if I eat everything I've pre-logged for the remainder of the day. I'll see about reducing my dinner portion and focus on eating very slowly by chewing my food thoroughly. I typically eat so fast that I overeat and feel too full so I know I can get by with less food if only I take the time. SAR tomorrow and grocery shopping/meal prep Sunday so likely won't have a chance to check in. I'll do my best to remember to weigh in, at least.0 -
