    Hello Ladies,

It was a fun time with family this weekend and of course last week. DD and I went shopping for fabric on Thursday because she didn't know if the costumes she ordered would be in before trick or treating started on Saturday. So I spent a major portion of my Thursday sewing costumes before I headed to DD's to babysit the boys. The costumes did arrive on Friday, so all my sewing was in vein, but at least there would be something to wear. Saturday was trick or treating in our subdivision. The youngest also came to walk around the neighborhood. I also started to feel like I was getting a cold. Yesterday wasn't to bad, but this morning was full on cold. 🤧

Here is the recipe for the stuffed peppers, I cut all the veggies a lot smaller than what is pictured below.

My workouts have been yoga everyday. I managed to get in Kelly's Heavy Box workout on youtube, and her Pyramid workout on Friday. Saturday and Sunday where yoga. Today has been nothing so far, just not feeling very well.

Laurel, Great job with all the workouts! We had to turn on our heat. We had a hard frost last week, and the wind was blowing. I even had to turn my fan on, it was making me cold while lying in bed.

Thelma, Awesome job with all the workouts! Hope that your back is still doing okay. Sounds like a really intense yoga class.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Monday's workouts were walking, power yoga and Tracy Steen upper body.

As of 9:30PM our rain gauge had collected 2 1/2" of rain! There might be a little rain on Tuesday afternoon, but the rain is expected to return from Tuesday night into Thursday.

Laurel, great workouts! I'm glad you took some time to relax and that you got some rain too!

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Chest, a 45 minute spin and yoga.

Laurie, great workouts. But I am sorry you have a cold. Hopefully you feel better soon. I am glad you enjoyed your time with family. How nice of you to make sure your grandsons had costumes for the weekend. I still haven’t turned the heat on because the house is staying an okay temperature because our lows right now are about the same as our high temperatures. But this weekend we are supposed to drop into the 30s at night, and I think I will have turn it on. Even as it is I was covered in a blanket last night watching TV. If DH was here, no doubt the heat would be on if I was cold enough for a blanket! Thank you so much for the recipe. I can’t wait to try it.

Thelma, great workouts. We have the same forecast as you with rain returning tonight and tomorrow. Then we are supposed to dry out and warm up a bit. I am so glad we got the moisture because I noticed things were really dry when I was mowing on Saturday.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Tuesday's workouts were walking, Tracy Steen Low Impact Hiit and Abs.

Monday was a drizzly day. As of Monday, at 5pm we'd accumulated 2.6" of rain since Monday. We may have a rainy Wednesday and Thursday.
I bet the grandbabies looked adorable in their Halloween costumes. I am sorry you had to rush sewing in case their customes didn't arrive on time.

Laurie, great workouts! I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon.
Thank you so much for the recipe. I'm making it next week!

My back is back to normal. Thanks for asking! The yoga class wasn't as intense as it normally is and I was thankful for that. LOL

    Laurel, great workouts!

I hope you got a good amount of rain too. Our grass is totally dead.
I read that we may have our first frost over the weekend! I'm not ready for that!

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Legs, XTrain All Out Low Impact HiiT and Peloton Yin Yoga, which felt great today.

Thelma, great workouts. You really have gotten a lot of rain. We had heavy rain through the night and earlier this morning, so we may not be too far off those totals. The sun is supposed to return on Friday with some warmer temperatures. But we are expected to hit the 30s at night when the skies clear. So given you are at a higher elevation, I am not too surprised you may see your first frost. I don’t think we will get a frost yet. I am holding on to a few of my last outdoor plants, and I am still not ready to get rid of them so I am hoping no frost or freeze for a couple more weeks. 🤞

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Wednesday's workouts were yoga, walking and Tracy Steen Glutes.

Wednesday turned out to be very rainy too. The last time I checked the rain gauge it had 3.6". The forecast is showing another rainy week next week

    Laurel, great workouts!

I am so thankful for all the rain we got. We really needed it. I'm glad you got some rain too. I hope we don't get our first frost this weekend. My annuals are still looking good!

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Starting to feel like a normal person today. It has been one of those nasal and cough. Today I can actually breath. I have not worked out at all, I felt really tired and of course breathing was an issue. Today I did some yoga, and it was very gentle. Just so glad that I didn't get into a coughing fit.

DH is having issues again, so he will need another surgery. Not something that he wanted to deal with right now, but at least the constant infections that he has been dealing with will hopefully be taken care of.

Laurel, Great job with all the workouts. We had frost on the ground again today, but it had been nice the last couple of days. Is your DH still in Hawaii, if he is I'm sure that the weather there is very different from here. Nice that you are getting some rain, seems like you didn't have to much this summer.

Thelma, Nice job with the workouts. Glad to hear that your back is okay. Every time that the oldest comes over with the boys, I seem to be carrying around the 20lb baby, and my back starts to ache. It is nice that he is just starting to think about crawling. Of course when that happens he will be into everything. Not that his oldest brother isn't also. Last week when they came over for trick or treat, I had to ask where the blond boy was. He was in the basement trying to sew on my machine. 😯 Kid is to smart.

I have to get going, hope you both have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Triceps followed by LITE Cardio Party with Calorie Crush, Abs, and Extended Stretch. My legs are screaming at me today from my leg workout yesterday, but the cardio seemed to help.

Thelma, great workouts. We had rain all day yesterday as well, and some very heavy rain. We also had wind, thunder and hail in the afternoon. I think we are supposed to clear up tomorrow for a few days. I had to turn on the heat this morning, though. The house was 58 when I got up which is just too chilly even for perpetually hot me. I still have a hibiscus blooming on one of my porches! But I think I will have to say goodbye to it soon which makes me sad.

Laurie, I am glad you are beginning to feel a little better. Gentle yoga is probably all you should be doing right now, so great choice. DH is still in Hawaii, and he says it is very dry there. It was when we were there as well. I think he is going to be in for a shock when he comes home because he will have spent the better part of a month there (including our trip) and autumn temperatures and the darkness after we change clocks will feel like a pretty stark change no doubt. I am so sorry your DH is going to need another surgery. Hopefully everything gets fixed this time. He has to be pretty uncomfortable and frustrated right now no doubt.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, Thurday's workout were yoga and walking.

It felt pretty cold here on Thursday.

Laurie, good job getting a little workout in.
I'm glad you're feeling better but I'm really sorry your DH keeps having infections and he'll need surgery. Does he take D-Mannose? it's a cranberry product that helps with UTIs.
Holding a 20lb baby puts you in a weird position. I'm not surprised your abck starts to ache.

    Laaurel, great workouts!

Sounds like your storm was worse than what we had. AT least you got some much needed rain. 58 degrees is very cold! I hope your turned the heat on!
DH put some of the plants I want to save this winter in the garage.
I'm sorry you'll have to say goodbye to your hibiscus. I thought that was a plant you brought inside the house over the winter.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Back and a 45 minute spin.

Thelma, great workouts. It has felt pretty chilly here as well. Today is sunny, but the breeze still feels like autumn for sure. I was just running errands and the colors on the trees are really beginning to come out. It looks pretty this year, and we don’t always have pretty autumn colors here. You remember right that I used to bring our hibiscus in during the winters, but I stopped doing that a couple of years ago and promised myself and DH that I would stop turning our house into a botanical garden during the winter. So now I only get stuff in the spring that I am willing to part with in the fall. Well…..minus one plant this year that I have tucked away next to my spin bike. 😎

    Happy Halloween! Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Ladies! I hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was good. Saturday was cold and raw. Sunday wasn't too cold and thankfully, we got 0.7" of rain.

My workouts on Friday were walking and Pilates sculpting.
    Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and Tracy Steen Glutes.

DH is going to be 64 on Wednesday. I can't believe it!

    Laurel, great workouts!

I hope you got some rain too! We have a lot of naked trees around here and I think the foliage is almost at peak.

I am trying to save more plants this winter than ever! I hate to see them die when they're looking so healthy. I'm a softy! My plants are in the garage. They'll probably die because I'll forget to water them. LOL
I hope your DH will be coming back to the US soon!

    Have a great week!

    Morning Ladies,

The cold is just about out of my system. Today is the first day that I felt well enough to do something workout wise. I had to miss a Halloween Party on Friday because I was coughing so much. On Thursday our oldest grandson had a seizure from a fever. Good thing Dad is a doctor, he got him cooled down right away and then Mom and Dad took him to the ER. So scary. That time change yesterday had me a little depressed that it got so dark so soon.

My workouts have been the yoga, and this morning was also a Lindsey Bomgren Full Body workout.

Laurel, Awesome job with the workouts! That is a long time to be away from home. Will they give your DH some time off when he gets back home? I'm sure it will be a shock to his system. He will be doing some time change adjustments. We still have leaves on our trees too. The colors have really been beautiful this year. Right now it is mostly the red leaved trees that still have the color, everything else is dropping.

Thelma, Nice job with all the workouts! DH has one of the implants that was put in pushing against his bladder, and that is probably when is causing an irritation which leads to the infection. The doctor says that the procedure that he will have next should take care of that issue. It has just been a really crazy roller coaster with this. Will you be doing anything special for your DH's birthday?

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! My weekend was pretty quiet. Saturday started out as a nice day, so I did some work in the yard. But it clouded over in the afternoon, so I spent a few hours with my book. Yesterday was foggy and dreary all morning but sunny in the afternoon. I got a few more chores done like cleaning out the pantry. DH should be coming home next weekend, and I will be glad to have him back for sure.

For workouts, on Saturday I did Cathe Live Kickboxing Crush and 45 minutes of Peloton yoga. Yesterday was 2.0 Body Part Shoulders, a 60 minute spin and yoga. Today was 2.0 Body Part Biceps, Cathe’s Intensity workout and more yoga. I really surprised myself with that Intensity workout. I anticipated I would need to modify quite a bit but I didn’t. I don’t know how much longer I will be able to do it, but it was fun to do today.

Thelma, great workouts. I am a softy for plants as well, which is why I am trying not to overbuy anymore in the spring. I think we found a really good balance this year. And even with that, I can’t bring myself to kill my final two plants (including the hibiscus). I think I will leave them where they are until winter takes its toll. Right now they still look too beautiful to get rid of.

Laurie, great workouts. I am glad you are feeling better. But yikes on your grandson’s seizure. That had to be so scary for your DD and SIL, but I am really glad your SIL knew how to handle it. I am with you on the time change. It just gets dark too early. DH is planning on taking the week of Thanksgiving off, but he also has a ton of leave he needs to take before the end of the year even though we have had a few trips this year. So I think he will have quite a bit of time off over the next two months which is nice.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! I woke up with a sinus headache. It was a rough day. I sent DH to CVS to get me some meds and they helped. I also purchased a sinus steam machine, and I think it helped.

I managed to do a walk on the treadmill and that was it for workouts. I couldn't even do yoga because I had a bad sinus headache.

Laurie, I am glad you're feeling better. Great workouts!
How scary about the baby's seizure! Thank God your SIL was home to assist him. I hope he's feeling better. I can't imagine how scared your DD and SIL were!
I hate the time change. The darkness is depressing at this this time of the year.

I hope the procedure your DH will have really takes care of his problems. He's been through a lot, and you have gone along for the ride too.

Laurel, great workouts and specially, that Intensity workout!!
I am glad your DH will be returning home soon!
DH is not big on celebrations. I'll ask him if he wants to go out to dinner, but it's not something we normally do for birthdays.

I don't think I can stop over buying plants. I bought a couple more than I usually do and I loved the way they looked all over our deck. You need to send me a few ounces of self-control!

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Chest, a 30 minute spin and core focused yoga.

Thelma, I am so sorry to hear about the headache. Hopefully you got something to help with the pain. I have had a low grade headache for several days now and I think it has something to do with the season and allergies. But mine has been pretty manageable thankfully. I hate those bad sinus headaches for sure. My self control when it comes to plants only exists if I don’t go to plant shops. It helped that we were playing golf more this summer because it left less time to go to places like Lowe’s or our local nursery. If you get me near plants though…..they leap into my arms. Really. 😉

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! I'm feeling better. The sinus meds really helped.
Tuesday's workouts were walking and Tracy Steen low impact HIIT.

I just checked our forecast and it looks like we'll drop to 22 degrees on Monday night. I'm sure even the plants in the garage will die then.

    Laurel, great workouts!
I am gkad oyou've been able to keep those headaches under control.

I understand the danger of going to plant stores! LOL

Hi Ladies. Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Legs, Cathe Live Boxing HiiT 2 and yoga. And mowing the lawn coming up next. 🙂

Thelma, I am glad you are feeling better. Great workouts! We have the same forecast for Monday with a high of 42 and low of 23. But it looks like just one day of it. Nevertheless it will feel really cold!

Hi Ladies! I had a set back with my sinuses. I forgot to take the nighttime medicine on Tuesday night and woke up totally congested all over again.

My workouts were walking and Precision Yoga.

Laurel, great workouts! I hope mowing the lawn wasn't too much of a fight!

The low temp on Sunday is supposed to be 26, 22 on Monday and 24 on Tuesday.

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Triceps and a 45 minute spin.

Thelma, I am sorry to hear your sinuses are giving you problems again. Great choice of a workout for an off day. The lawn mowing went well. It is so much nicer when the heat and humidity are down for sure. And the new mower and I are increasingly understanding each other better. Wow, you are really going to be cold. I think our lows are something like 32, 23, 35. I think I will be bringing one of my left over outdoor plants inside. Or maybe both. We’ll see what DH has to say when he gets home. 🙂

    See you tomorrow.

    Morning Ladies,

The oldest dd came over yesterday, it seems to be the day that they come over during the week. It was nice to give the grandson a big hug and kiss. The youngest is just starting to get on all fours to start crawling, so by Christmas we will have another one to watch with all the decorations.

DH is scheduled for his surgery mid December, so hopefully he will be good to go by Christmas.

My workouts have all been from Lindsey. Of course I have gotten in my yoga also. I did a Full Body Pilates workout on Tuesday, yesterday was a Leg workout and this morning was Pilates Barre Class followed by Pilates Abs. I'm really enjoying adding in these Pilates workouts, and I will include a boxing workout tomorrow.

Laurel, Awesome job with all the workouts! Nice that the weather cooperated a little so that you could get outside for a bit. That will be nice to have your DH around for the remainder of the year. I always enjoyed having off at that time, everyone always seemed so tense with end of year and holiday things.

Thelma, Great job with the workouts! Dang on those sinus headaches, I know how those can be. With the really cold temps we received, that really helped with my headaches this year. Your temps are sounding a lot like ours when we wake up in the morning's.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Thursday's workouts were walking, yoga and Tracy Steen upper body.
    My head finally feels better.

I finally found an article claiming that hormones can be the reason why I hate food now. I am going to send an email to my doctor about this.

    Laurie, great workouts!
I'm glad you got to see your grandbabies.
I hope your DH will be OK after his surgery next month.

I can't believe the cold weather helped with your sinus headaches. I am not ready for the cold weather we're about to get with!

Laurel, great workouts! I'm glad mowing the lawn is much nicer at this time of the year.

Turning the heat on hasn't been good for my sinuses this fall. We have a humidifier going on all day but I still feel the dry air affecting my nasal passages.

It's really going to be cold here next week. I have a chiropractic appointment early Tuesday morning when it's supposed to be the coldest! Yikes!
I'm sure your DH will be OK with you saving two plants this winter.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Body Part Back and ICE Rock’m Sock’m Knockout. I will do my yoga later. I am going to put 2.0 back on the shelf for a little while. I have had great results with it, so it probably won’t be there for very long. But I am going to do a couple/few weeks of ‘whatever’ while I decide on a winter rotation. I have dozens of Cathe Live strength workouts I haven’t done, so I may focus on those for a little while….until I start missing the heavy weights again.

Laurie, great workouts. I love Pilates and should do more of it for sure. I am glad you enjoyed time with your DD and grandsons. I bet this Christmas will be fun this year…..but also probably a little chaotic and exhausting. But sometimes those are the best Christmases. I am glad your DH has a surgery date on the calendar. Hopefully it will be his last one for this.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad your sinuses are better. Forced air heat has never been good for my sinuses. I am hoping these new HVAC units we have may be better for me because they don’t blow nearly as hard as regular HVACs and they aim to maintain a steady humidity level. So we’ll see! I just got rid of my hibiscus. 😢 It really was too big to bring inside and its last two flowers bloomed and died so…..I only have one plant left. And this one will come inside this weekend. I don’t know if it will last all winter, but since we are supposed to warm up to the 70s again, it has a little outdoor time left for sure.

DH will be taking Monday and Tuesday off from work so I probably won’t be back until mid-week. Stay warm with this arctic blast!

Hi Ladies! I hope you had a good weekend. Ours was nice and got 1/2 inch of rain on Friay night.
It is freezing here already! The chickens will be sleeping in the garage during this cold spell. Our rooster finally decided he wanted to sleep in the coop with his girls. It's a good thing because that makes it easy to catch him. We had never handled him until Sunday. You should've heard him! You would've thought DH was killing him. LOL

My workouts on Friday were sculpting Pilates and walking.
    Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and Stratton Steen Chest, Tri's and Shoulders.

Laurel, great workouts! I can't wait to read about your winter rotation!

You're a brave woman getting rid of the hibiscus!
I hope your new furnace is kinder to your sinuses. We have forced air heat.
Enjoy the long weekend with your DH!

    Have a wonderful week!

    Morning Ladies,

Had a nice weekend. We babysat on Saturday, that was a late night driving home. We had snow on the ground Sunday morning. We missed the really large dump of snow, that headed south of us. This morning I had a dental appointment, so my workout was late. I did Lindsey's Leg & Back workout and of course my yoga.

Laurel, Great job with the workouts. Enjoy the time that you have with your DH this week. The 2.0 rotation seemed to have gone by really quick. Enjoy doing some whatever workouts. Doing some of those Live workouts will be a nice change of pace, and of course shock the body.

Thelma, Love the workouts! This cold weather came as a shock to our bodies also. Tomorrow is suppose to be back to the normal fall temps. It was the wind that was the worst. The rooster must have realized that it was better to be in the garage than being by himself in the freezing cold.

    Have a great day!

Hi Laurie! I'm glad you had a good weekend, that you got to spend some time with the grand babies and that you missed the snow!
    Great workouts!

I think we are also going to warm up tomorrow. The early hours will be in the low 20's though.

    Morning Ladies,

My workouts today where yoga and Lindsey's Shoulders & Arms. She included some chest work in there also with push ups and chest presses.

Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! Your weather really sounds a lot like ours. They said it was going to warm up today, so far that isn't the case. I wanted to get outside to do some cleanup from the plants freezing, but that will not happen today. Does the rooster enjoying being in the tree? 😀

It was very cold on Tuesday morning. Thankfully, the wind had died down by early morning. We never warmed up even though it was sunny.

    Laurie, great workouts!

Our rooster is a game rooster, so he is used to sleeping high up in a tree. I am really glad he decided he'd had enough of enduring the bad weather.

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! I am back from a long weekend with DH and will be entering another one in two days because he is taking Friday off as well. He has a lot of leave to use between now and January 1. We survived the cold but, boy, did it kill everything. I am glad I got rid of the rest of my plants (minus a mum) because they wouldn’t have stood a chance. We broke a 99 year record low on Monday night. But just like that we are headed to the 60s and 70s again. Our plan on Friday is to play golf. 😎

For workouts, I decided to alternate Cathe Live lower and upper body workouts this week. So Sunday was a lower body workout and spin. Monday was an upper body workout and Cathe’s Cardio Fusion workout. Yesterday was another lower body workout and a spin. And today was another upper body workout and Cathe Live Warrior Kickboxing. I have also been doing yoga every day. I am enjoying the break from heavy weights for sure this week, but I also know that I will tire of the endless reps Cathe does in her live workouts before too long. But I still have no idea what I want to do next so I will keep playing with Cathe Live for a little while longer.

Thelma, great workouts. I am so glad you were able to get your rooster inside. We had some flurries on Monday but other parts of Alabama had real snow. But the wind is what made everything so bad. It knocked so many leaves out of the trees. I spent two hours raking yesterday, and it is just a start.

Laurie, great workouts. I am glad you didn’t get too much snow, but your cold temperatures sound rough. We still had bushes like our azaleas in bloom on Sunday and everything died over night. So I have a lot of cleanup to do in our garden as well. I really hated seeing everything die that rapidly. It is like we went from early autumn into mid winter over night.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Wednesday's workouts were walking, abs and precision yoga.
It was much warmer but still a bit chilly. We have no signs of rain in our immediate future.

Laurel, I hope you had a nice long weekend. I hope your DH is taking the last two weeks (or more) of the year off!

The cold was brutal. My hydrangea bush is all dead. DH puts my potted hydrangeas in the garage, so those are alive. I have a massive begonia I bought early in the summer and I just didn't have the heart (softy!) to let it die, so in the garage it went. It's still looking beautiful!

Great workouts! It makes sense for Cathe to do a lot of reps. She has to fill the workout time somehow.

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Cathe Live Love Me Some Legs, and 45 minute spin and some good juicy yoga. Today’s leg workout included a ton of fire walkers, so my hips were screaming. The yoga helped for sure.

Thelma, great workouts. Our hydrangeas are all dead as well. We still have azaleas in full bloom, and all those flowers were killed, which is sad. But my mum road out the weather in our dining room and is back outside and lovely. I don’t always have great luck with mums, but this one is beautiful. We are supposed to be in the mid 70s tomorrow and Saturday! Crazy weather.

See you Monday! Enjoy the weekend.
