I completed C25K in Jan but I would love to give it another shot. I need to increase my speed and I need motivation to stay on the treadmill during the winter months.

Felt inspired by a triathlon's photos in the success stories, so I went ahead and did W1, D1 today on the treadmill. Felt good but my walk and jog pace were nearly the same 3.3 and 3.5.

I'm interested! I actually completed this program before and loved it. I am 3 lbs away from my goal weight so my goal for this challenge is to tone up and work on speed.

    Will post weight details tomorrow

I'd love to join this group. I successfully did C25k for 4 weeks and then fell off the wagon. I'm ready to climb back on!!! Count me in!

    Day 1 complete

After spending the day with my family and eating way too much food :noway: I somehow managed to get my Husband to come out on the run with me. I did the 60 second runs quite comfortably, not very fast but it did'nt kill me this time around. I think I prefer running outside to the treadmill, I just get so bored on the treadmill even with a TV to watch.

So I am pretty happy with my first day, especially considering I am not well and my head cold seems to have turned into tonsillitis, luckily its pretty mild and I think is already a little better. Can't wait for my next run now

    Here are my stats:

    Starting Weight: 150
    GW- 130
    Mini GW challenge-140
    Bicep: 12.5
    Bust(fullest): 38
    Waist(narrowest): 30
    Belly around navel: 33
    Hips(widest): 42
    Thighs (widest): 24.5
    calves-15.5R, 15.50L

    Good luck everyone

ok guys that may sound crappy but im very frustrated and had to kill my time, so i worked on an excel sheet and calculated how many miles can be covered in this c25k challenge.

so i used 5mph for run, 4mph for walk and 3 mph for warm and cool down and used the posted schedule.

    results:63 miles approx

so u can put the miles ticker too :)

I actually started my own accountability challenge today but would love to be part of a group that is C25K based.

    Current: 143.4
    Goal: 135
    Bicept: 12
    Chest: 35
    Waist: 33.5
    Hips: 37.75
    Thigh: 23.25

Also if i could make a suggestion about the spreadsheet....if you use docs.google.com we all could input our own info and would be less work for you. especially keeping up with it for 8 weeks. :o)
  • Hope it's not too late to join. I'm sitting at work on Halloween evening thinking "I really need to run tonight!" This will be perfect! If it's okay, I will input my info tomorrow!

Dexters_dexterity thanks for posting the chart! I did Day 2 and upped my run speed to 4.0. I don't know if I'll be able to keep that speed up for the longer runs, but for 60 seconds I can manage :)

Week 1 Day 1 Done!!! It was great doing those 60 sec sprints.

Dexters~Thanks for the chart and starting this challenge!!!

Heather~I started Ripped in 30 today so I'll be doing that for the 1st 5-6 weeks. Then, I'll be doing Killer Buns & Thighs the last 3-4 weeks of the program.

Bovaryoo~Good Job increasing your speed! You'll be surprised what you will accomplish with this program. Keep up the good work!
  • HEY EVERYONE!!! hope everybody's first week is going fabulous! I finished my first day yesterday. It was hard, as I have not run in forever nor do I enjoy it (probably because I am so bad at it haha).. but I survived! I am excited to do this though and keep progressing. Unfortunately it is snowing and raining a lot this evening, we are going to get 5-8 inches of snow overnight, so I don't think I will be able to complete day 2 outside tomorrow. Bummer! The treadmill seems so much more daunting. but I will just suck it up and do it any way!
Good luck, can't wait to keep hearing from everyone! :)
