  • Hey all! Still out of state on vacation so it's been hard to get on here and update. I'm a little behind everyone, but sticking with it. I finished w2d1 today and will head out tomorrow for day two. Glad to read that other people have found that the program turned them into runners!

Week 3 done for me :)

Looking forward to wk 4 run 1, even though it's almost double the running!

I'm sure it's the same with some of you other C25Kers - I'm finding that by the 3rd run each week, I'm feeling comfortable, and even keen to do more running and less walking, which makes the next week exciting to get into.

Hi everyone! I completed W2D3 on Friday in 30 degree weather and 20 mph winds. I have to say I am thankful this type of weather never happens in Georgia or else my winter running plans might have to be moved in doors. I do think I like running outside in 30 degree weather way better than in 100 degree weather.

    Distance: 2.52 mi
    Walk Pace: 14:23/mi
    Run Pace: 10:49/mi
    Cal Burned: 274

    W3D1 tomorrow!!!

After a not so fantastic weekend, bad food choices and no exercise :embarassed: I jumped back in today. Over an hour at the gym this morning and then went out for W3D1 tonight. I struggled a bit with the 3min runs. I should have had a drink before I left because I was already a little thirsty when I started and after the runs I was so dry and needing water!! It did'nt help that I was running into a very strong wind at times, but even though my mind was saying "stop, stop" I just kept going!! I kept thinking if I can't do 3 min runs now how am I going to ever do 5 or 10 min runs in the next couple of weeks!!

I blew it out this weekend too and consumed most of my calories via liquid diet - if you know what I mean. But this is far from normal for me, but alcohol calories are harder for me to burn for some reason. You can make up for it this week. My legs got tired on the last 3 min run too. I pushed through it though.

    W3D1 Done. Stats below:

    Distance: 2.21 mi
    Walk Pace: 14:58/mi
    Run Pace: 9:42/mi
    Cal Burned: 242

I missed my run today due to tornados and horrible storms. I really like running outside and I really couldn't bring myself to get on the treadmill - although I should have. I plan to run in the morning and on Saturday, so I'll get all 3 in this week.

    Week 3 Complete

My Husband and I did Day 2 last night, it was a lovely night with a light cool breeze, perfect for running and I really enjoyed it, even added a couple of extra runs at the end!!

So this morning I went to they gym and decided to get Day 3 done because if I leave it to the weekend then I probably won't do it, life gets in the way with the family home :grumble: I so did not enjoy it as much on the treadmill. I think it is because there is too much temptation to watch the clock count down and those 3 minutes just seem soooo long!! Anyway got it done and now a couple of rest days and looking forward to starting week 4

I got my run in yesterday, I just couldn't log in to update this page. I wonder why the mobile app doesn't allow for message board postings? Anyhow, I'm getting nervous about next week. I have no idea how I'm going to run for 5 min at a time. I guess I need to slow my pace down. Stats below:

    W3D2
    Distance: 2.24 mi
    Walk Pace: 14:34/mi
    Run Pace: 9:41/mi
    Cal Burned: 224

I am down 1lb today, so maybe all this 1200 calorie tracking and running is going somewhere. Happy Friday everyone!

I wish it was done for me. Still got a sinus infection, though I am recovering. Gonna rest again today and hoping I can run tomorrow or Sunday, so that I'm not too far behind. Good job ladies!

I hope you feel better soon. Are you taking anything? I ended up with walking pneumonia twice because I let one go too long without treatment. I hope you can rest this weekend!

Thank you! Yes, I started on a Z-pack yesterday. I usually don't take antibiotics, but I knew this was a bad sinus infection when I got a fever at work. :( Hopefully I'll be up to running again soon, but I know I need to rest, too.
