Soo excited we've had our fireplace and outside lights up for weeks but we finally got or tree and decorated it this weekend! Looks beautiful and it was so fun creating a memory I will hold forever with my 2 year old! I went to the libary and got the fit mama dvd last week and finally started it last night. I did prenatal salsa soo fun and today I will be doing the yoga portion of the dvd. My goal this week is to work out mon/wed/fri salsa portion and yoga portion 5ues/thurs followed by going for walks at the park with my son while the weather permits. Feeling motivated hopefully it last longer than a week lol

Brenda - <3 my hubby -- he really keeps me sane! They are the best :)
Kim -- exciting to feel the baby! I also relate to your fast food cravings...they are killer!
Ashlee -- your pics are great!!
Taldie - hope the u/s went AWESOMELY!
Babeed- I only have strech marks from being a chunker, but used Earthmama oil on them and it helped them a bit.
Rayna --sorry about the shot in your butt, even if it is for a good cause!
Rosanna -- you impress me with your not killing the furniture store people. I would be a lunatic!
Breezy -- yay for decorating! and bonding :)
I think I got everyone who posted since my last check in....if not, sorry!
    Welcome to all the newbies:)

AFM: I did hit the track and did a nice hour long, brisk walk. I was feeling a little dizzy when I started to hit the stairs, so I opted out. I don't want to risk falling up or down them...so I did speed walking/sprinting intervals when the girls were doing the stairs. I am a little less cranky today....soooo ready for Xmas break, and wishing my students would take exam review and paper writing seriously....but they don't. ARGH!
I rescheduled my next OB appt for one week earlier so it falls during the 2011 year's deductible period...I have 100% coverage until for the year, and have to start chipping away at the $1500 again in January. I know it is a really good deal to only pay $1500 total out of pocket (not including premiums, of course) but I know there won't be a whole lot of cash flow for Jan/Feb, and I hate having to make payments on my doc's bill.

Oh...and my one of my best friends at work today commented on my curves and how good I looked in my new yoga pants...and I thanked her for the complement, but told her I felt like I was getting fat...she replied that my *kitten* is spreading a little bit, you know, the hips, to get ready for the baby...and your belly, well, you just look like you are holding a few pounds, you don't look pregnant yet! All with a smile on her face! I know she meant it as a complement....and I took it that way. But wow...what a nice way to tell me I am getting chubby!!! lol... I only gained between 1.5 and 2.5 pounds depending on the day, and I am bloated...so I know I am not as huge as I feel. Sadly, my favorite, lost-almost -30-pounds-and fit perfectly jeans are no longer comfy. Ah well. It comes with the territory.

Well, off to make dinner and then my new guilty pleasure -- Borgia on netflix and dessert in bed!

    Thank you, Luna! :)
I am very very excited! Tomorrow morning is our first ultrasound for this sweet little one. Has anyone else felt like "wait a second...am I realllllly pregnant?" because I have seriously had my moments! But, my belly seems to have popped even more this morning, so it'll be interesting to see how the appointment goes tomorrow.
Hoping that everyone has a fantastically fabulous day! Best wishes!

Morning ladies and welcome to the new peeps. Good job on those of you getting your workouts in! I did not do that last night. But I did get the last of my Christmas shopping done and got the tree decorated which were some of my goals this week. Tonight we have a holiday social so no workout for me but I'll probably do a little walking at lunch. I also didn't cook last night. :ohwell: I was getting home close to 8 so stopped for takeout.

My due date is 6 weeks from today and I kind of can't believe it. I'm not too stressed really, just not really fathoming that a baby is coming. This weekend hopefully we'll get our crib and glider (or at least get it ordered) and get the nusery mostly put together over Christmas. I've been plugging away at my "stuff to wrap up before I leave" list at work. Those are my two big stressers right now - nursery and work - now that Christmas stuff is mostly out of the way.

It's getting up into the 60's today here in KY! I would love to try an outdoor run/walk after work but alas social requirements prevent me. Oh well....tis the season. Have a great day all!

Didn't get to work out last night and ate horribly to boot :embarassed: !! Other than that, a great time in fellowship was had by all.
Hubby's home tonight, doubt I'll get a work out in as he's alerady mentioned he wants to go shopping for some new work pants.

We'll see what today brings (besides rain)- :flowerforyou:

Good morning ladies. I have finally reached the point were I am so done being pregnant. I'm wearing my husbands shirt today as even some of my maternity shirts are too short. I am super tired and am so done with work. I know the end is near but I feel like it will never come.

Well I just wanted to say a quick hello. Sorry that I am grumpy. I think the waiting is probably the worst part at this point.

Nichole: I hope I can make it without complaints as you have til 39 weeks. You are fully within your right to be grumpy! But I wouldn't call it that. Hang in there. Baby will be here soon.

Ashley: Totally understand the stressors you are dealing with right now. But everything will work out.

AFM: Yesterday was ok. Diet wasn't amazing and didn't get a workout in, but I'm hoping by lunchtime the rain will let up and I can go home to walk my dogs. Something thats been affecting my mood lately...trying not to let it because I want to be my happiest knowing that baby is about to join us in the next several weeks...but my SIL was just diagnosed with aggressive ovarian cancer. She went into surgery Friday to remove a cyst and they found Stage III cancer, ended up performing a total hysterectomy. She's only 37, and was hoping to have another baby. I've been trying not to be upset about this but its really hard, especially knowing my husband is trying to be strong...I know he is trying to keep me from seeing him upset. As if concentrating wasn't hard enough before. I truly believe everything will be ok, but its still hard. If you ladies can keep her in your thoughts/prayers, I would really appreciate it.
On a different note, I got slightly better news from the furniture store yesterday. Apparently the person I had spoken to originally was mistaken in which piece of furniture was backordered. The crib is available for shipping, rather the dresser won't be available until January 13th. I can definitely live with that, especially because we have a good sized closet in the baby room and I already have all the clothes hanging. I also have an elfa storage drawer in the closet that all other items are currently being stored. Now I just have to hope I make it as close to 40 weeks as possible because the crib won't be getting delivered to my home until January 4 (6 days before my due date). I have a playyard with a bassinet insert, so I know we will manage without issue if baby arrives sooner, but it would be nice to have the crib before we bring baby home.
Thanks for letting me vent again ladies. Sorry! I feel like thats all I do anymore.

    Goals today:
    Walk dogs
    Dress shop
    Reorganize home office

    Rosanna
    36 weeks, 1 day

    Have a wonderful day!

Misti - It breaks my heart to hear of the little boy in your son's class. Our house burned down and we lost everything when I was in 4th grade. The Red Cross gave us each $100 to buy some new clothes, they bought us new mattresses, and they paid for 1 month's house rent. I hope they have that option. It helped a lot.

Glad to hear everyone is doing well and staying busy/active.

I had my glucose test yesterday so hopefully everything will be okay with that. I should know in a day or so I think. I think we finally decided on a name...Abigail Elizabeth and we'll call her Abby (or Abbie, not sure of spelling yet. lol). I still REALLY like Sophie and it's been between those two names for a while now, but we decided on Abigail because it means "my Father's joy" in Hebrew. After we lost my dad I thought that would be a nice name for her because he was so excited about her. I know it's not quite the same meaning of the word "Father", but you get the idea. :) I'm not 100% sure if I want to break the news to all of our family and friends though in case we change our mind at the last minute. haha!

My workouts have been few and far between lately, but I'm planning on getting back in the gym. It's been colder here so I haven't wanted to walk outside. If I go to the gym I can at least do some elliptical, walking, and biking. I like to switch it up so that'll be nice to have the option.

    Goals this week:
Today: If it's warm enough we'll walk the dogs. If not, we'l go to the gym and do 1 hour walking/elliptical/biking.
    Tomorrow: yoga
    Friday: gym (1 hour walking/elliptical/biking)
    Saturday: yoga

Just wanted to update real quick then back to work I go. I had my appt. yesterday and it was my best one so far. My BP was really good, just two weeks ago it was sky high! I only gained 1 pound, so a total of 17 so far. I might hit my goal, or be really close anyway. Woo Hoo! Baby is down and feels partially engaged, and measuring 33wks exactly. So it could be soon. :) As far as baby's kidney, my doctor had a specialist review the U/S and her kidney is so close to normal size they don't even recommend a follow up on it, it's NOTHING to worry about! THANK GOD!!! I was stressing!

Brenda - I asked about the contrations, and she really didn't have an answer as to why baby don't move much afterwards, she said contractions will of course cause some stress on the baby, so they will go into a ball and not move, but at this point she should move around a lot. She said just try to keep track of the movements and make sure after I do have contractions she starts moving shortly after, or go to the hospital and get checked. She also said make sure my bladder is as empty as possible at all times because a full bladder causes contractions. I try to hold it sometimes at night, too lazy and tired to get up all the time, and that's when I get contractions the most is at night....so no more doing that. :)

Anyway, overall it was a GREAT checkup! I'm so glad! Next appt. on the 27th and I also have to schedule my pre-admission interview at the hospital for next week. :)

Brianna~ I feel like the grinch on the block…I haven’t gotten ONE decoration out this year. LOL and I asked DH last week if we were going to put up the tree and very mellow sounding he says, “no, I don’t think so.” Funny thing is that I agreed. I know it will be much different when our princess is here. And that’s a good idea to get the DVD at the library. I think I might stop in and see what our’s has. Thanks!

Jaime~ Welcome! Keep up the good work and great job! 120lbs is incredible! DH and I had a boy’s name all picked and we were even referring to the baby as Caleb before we even knew…..I think we jinxed ourselves LOL It’s a girl and now we can’t decide on a name. LOL

Becca~ Take it easy. I hear ya on the outta-pocket… Not looking forward to it either. I had a rant a while back where I really hate the “you don’t even look pregnant” comment. LOL Really? “I just feel like a whale for nothing and you can’t see my stomach protruding?” LOL I’m sure you look fab though!

Ruthy~ I like the names you have! Welcome fellow Michigander!

Ashley~ Everything will work out in the end. Try not to stress too much. Wow, 60’s, how nice. I hope you find the opportunity to get out there and enjoy it, even for a few minutes.

Denise~ Stay positive and everything will fall into place. Everything happens for a reason. We have nothing but rain here too…

Nichole~ you are doing great! Before you know it you will have your beautiful girl wrapped in your arms! Stay strong! ((HUGS))

Rosanna~ I will be praying for your sister-in-law! And I’m glad to hear the furniture store person was wrong and the crib will (hopefully) be there before your sweet baby arrives. Great goals!

Kristy~ beautiful name! I had teaching assistant and her name was Abigail (Aby) and I absolutely love her! So that is a very good name in my book.  Hope you find the time and motivation to hit those workout goals! I always feel better after sweating a bit! I’ve never tried yoga, how is it?

Hi Elizabeth! Funny thing, I just went to your page yesterday to check and see how you were doing, and now you are here! Happy 37 weeks! Man, time is flying by. BTW, my birthday is Jan. 5th. Best time of year in my opinion. LOL

Dixie~ Congrats on #2! You must have a heck of a time finding pants. LOL Welcome!

Misti~ Good news all around! WTG on your BP, Weight gain, and YAY baby kidneys!

AFM: I had a great night! I made my butt get to Zumba! I took from an instructor I haven’t had in a while and I think my body freaked out a little bit from the change. I was a little dizzy when I got home, so had to take it easy for a bit.
((vent alert)) HELLO Hormones LOL…DH has been on my case about cooking lately, and last night was no exception. He walks in from work and immediately says “what? You couldn’t even get it started?” I broke into tears and yelled that I was feeling dizzy and just needed a moment. I really think he doesn’t realize that I can’t just jump up and do everything as good as I used to. He did end up making a fabulous dinner (chicken stir-fry) and apologizing for being an *kitten*. ((end vent))
Thanks for letting me get that out…
Over-all it was a good night. Didn’t snack on a ton of crap like I have been and got a great workout in! Let’s hope I can keep this up! This weather isn’t very motivating though, rain rain rain. Isn’t this Michigan in mid-December? Where the heck is our snow? LOL I never thought I would ever say that.

Hope everyone is staying active and healthy!!

Enjoying these last few days (maybe week(s)) before the First Tri Yuckies set in. Did a BIG grocery shop last night to make sure the pantry is full, last time I couldn't step foot in a grocery store or farmers market for 2 months because of all the smells.

Did "New Rules of Weight Lifting for Women" 1A workout last night and increased my squat to 65lbs x 12 :) Also did the week 3 C25K run. Tonight I am on the skate treadmill with some teamates (none of which know I am pregnant), should be fun to workout as a group. Back in the gym either Thursday night or Friday. Weekend looks kinda busy, we'll see if I make it to the gym.
