I am making these for my TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) Annual Awards Banquet we are holding on Monday. I am making a variety. Think I am doing Strawberry Cake Mix and Diet 7-UP; Orange Cake Mix and Diet Sunkist and Confetti with Diet Cream Soda. Think I will just frost with low fat or fat free cool whip that way as not to mix too many flavors. I hope they turn out great and everyone likes them. Sounds like good reports on here!!!

For anyone interested, I figured out the nutritional info for the yellow/orange combo. I used Pillsbury Moist Supreme Sugar Free Classic Yellow cake mix, Diet Sunkist, 2 egg whites, and 1 TBSP Pillsbury Creamy Supreme Sugar Free Vanilla Frosting. This is for per slice (1/12 cake). Numbers in ( ) is the nutritional info w/o the frosting added. ENJOY! I haven't tasted the cake yet, its currently baking, but the batter was super yummy lol.

I have also made a spice cake and used a can of pumpkin. Nothing else, just a can of pumpkin. It is yummy. If you make the coke cake and put it in muffin cups you really don't need any frosting. My grandsons love the cupcakes.
the spice cake and pumpkin are my favorite i just add some fat-free coolwhip

I tried this last night. I'm not a fan at all. I wasn't impressed with the cakes texture (too soft) and flavour (no richness). I think I would rather have a piece of full fat cake and just build it in to my normal calorie allowance.

I think a little under 200 (175ish?) per serving, using a SF yellow cake mix and diet lemon-lime soda

This is one of the most bizarre things I've seen... definitely going to give it a try tho! I love cake and diet fizzy drinks - so that's a good start.
For those who do this regularly is it also 10.5oz of soda or do you just replace the water and fat?

I did a Diet Soda cake the other night with a box of Devil's Food cake mix, a 12 ounce can of diet coke and 2/3 a container of Sugar Free Chocolate Frosting. Ended up being 131 calories per piece! And it was yummy!

Wow, this sounds fantastic. Must try. Think I'll start with white cake/diet cream soda.
