Bump...curretly doing strong lifts 5x5...but I don't have progress pics that I am comfortable posting interested in seeing what others have done, but my profile pic is my current arm, if only I could get rid of the excess skin (and of course fat), it would look way better0

Maybe you missed my appeal to NOT be insulting...0 -
LOL black thong chic is totally photoshoped! Not that weights can't do that to you body, but you can totally see where someone did a bad job of bringing in her waist and legs. I'm a photographer so I speak from exp...0

Love love love this thread!
4 weeks ago I upped my calorie intake to 1700 -2300 and I started lifting weights on the machines (the free weights section at my gym is literally dumbells). 4 weeks on I am only 3lbs down but I feel a massive difference and I took measurements yesterday....5.5 inches lost BOOM!
I'm no where near at my goal weight and ladies I know it's scary to start because you're worried to see the scale slow down, even go up but I figured if you start weight training at your goal weight you're going to see it go up anyway so why wait? plus the inches still come off. I had so many compliments last night at how much weight I've lost (38 lbs in total) and people seem to be noticing the difference after I began the weight training. All you ladies on here are in inspiration, I'm seeing so many brilliant abs on here I love it!0 -

After shedding 120-ish pounds doing mostly cardio with some strength training but not a whole lot:
After focusing primarily on strength training for about 3 months:
I do strength training about 3x/week and eat about 2300 calories/day and about 180 g protein on average.

Somewhere under all the fat, I bet my tummy looks like that. I'm working on increasing my weights, but I still have almost 50 more lbs to lose before I'll be able to see the muscle. Except my biceps, since they're the only muscles not covered in fat. :ohwell: Someone else asked about ChaLEAN Extreme, and that's a program I'm saving up for. Does anyone know if you would get comparable results using CLX compared to NROL4W?0 -

Is there any reason why you can't go to a gym (and do New Rules or another program)? I don't know much about it but I don't think it does the big compound lifts with enough weight to be really effective, but I do have a friend who does it and likes it.0 -

Gym membership isn't in my budget right now. I'm expecting to be able to later this year, though. My heaviest weights are 10#. The program I'm doing now uses mostly bodyweight. I had planned to get CLX as my reward to myself when I get 10 lbs from goal, but I've been reading so much about New Rules and Strong Lifts that I'm starting to rethink it. I love Chalene's workouts, though.0 -
AMAZING!!! So many of you are just incredible and awe inspirirng...WOW!!!0
