Week Three Peeps?
I just completed W3D2 and I'd love to have some friends that are about where I am. So far I'm doing well and I am really enjoying running! Anyone else nervous for Week Four? I kind of am!

Speeds
i just did w3d1 this morning it seem like each week day 1 I get into my head about the jump in time running 1-1.5-3 so I slowed my run down from 5.3 which I had been doing previous weeks to to 4.9 I usually walk at 3.5. The difference between my walk and run speed feels so small was just wondering if others had same…

C25k Week 2/Day 1: Fail!
Went out to start Week 2/Day 1 this morning and made it through the first interval of jogging, then walked. When the second jog time came up I started off but had to stop because I was in a lot of pain. Somehow I injured my back either Saturday or before. It was very sore but not painful like today when I finished out Week…

C25k Day 1: Fail!
Made it through the first 4 rounds of day one.. Then, I got the most excruciatingly painful shin splints I have ever had! I've always walked 1-2 miles a day. Never ran it though! I wasn't going very fast, and moving my legs isn't new- so the fact that my shins hurt that bad was really weird?! Should I redo day one…

Some inspiation for you!
Let me rave about c25k a minute. On October 27th I decided to take my first steps ever as a runner. I had never given running any serious thought before. I'd never even ever managed half a lap around the track. I was miserable that first day. I could hardly finish my 60 second intervals. My chest hurt and I thought I will…

Started c25K Monday
Been wanting to start the c25K program for awhile but weather was more a factor plus I wasn't doing much walking until the last couple weeks...so wanted to do that first (on a regular basis). Got where I was walking 5k at least 3 times a week. So I started Week 1 Day one Monday. All went well with Day 1, did the program…

New Runner
Not sure if I can call myself a runner yet but I am starting the program today and I am scared and excited. I am worried my size will make this harder but I hope that I will stick it out. I plan to start on my treadmill and then when the weather gets nicer going to the track by my house. If you want please friend me, I…

C25k on a treadmill??
I have been trying c25k on my treadmill. I made it to week 5 then my knee started hurting. I have been trying to rebuild and just starts back this week. First i should say I have been walking no less than 4 mph and running 7-8 mph. The incline is set at 1. After c25k says my workout is complete i continue to walk with…

Friends?
Anyone wan't to be friends and is just starting? I'll be going through the program slow, probably repeating weeks, and I'm doing keto as well. Looking for accountability and friendly encouragement.

Injury question
At what point is an injury serious enough to completely stop the program? I just did week one day one this morning, then while running for the bus at school I fell and f-ed up my ankle. Pretty swollen. If the swelling goes down by friday, should I try day 2?

New: Starting Tomorrow
I am starting the couch to 5k program for he first time, just set it up on my phone. I think this is a great small goal to set. Tomorrow is also my first day of changing how I eat too. I guess a lifestyle change is a good thing. So we will see how it goes. :)

Just Starting
Hi everyone! I just started C25K on Wednesday and I am so excited about it!!! It was much easier than I thought it'd be (only set back was getting my flailing arms tangled in my headphones cord and sending my phone flying off the treadmill and halfway across the gym - so embarrassing!! Wireless earbuds are being delivered…

Where to pick back up?
Hi there, I finished C25K at the end of September and continued running 5K 3x a week (in around 35 mins) for a few weeks. Then I had placement. During placement I have a mega-commute and am physically and mentally exhausted and cannot fit exercise into my life. As such I haven't ran in 3 months and really want to get back…

Love Walking so why not!
I finally started!! I wasn't doing too well with moving (walking, jogging..etc) my step count was barely anything. I was lucky to even come close to my 10,000 step goal. I mean some days were like 3,000 - 5,000 steps total ALL day  BUT I changed it all around!!! Tuesday - 13,316 steps for the day!! Wednesday…

Set Back
Hello. I've been doing the c25k and have unfortunately suffered a minor set back...I tripped on a honkey nut (one of the many Australian obsticles) and twisted my ankle. I have been listening a pod cast and upto week 7. My ankle is starting to feel a little better and am so ready to get going again. How have you gotten…

What To Do While Running?
Hey guys, I was reading through the When Will I Enjoy Running thread, and a few of you mentioned some interesting stuff, and I'd be interested to hear your ideas on what to do while running. I think I get quite hung up on time, but some of you mentioned listening to audio books, music - even music itself I have a spotify…

Former athlete...53 and ready to get going
I plan to lose 20 pounds and want to get back to running again. I have been going to they gym over the years, but haven't done anything competitive since I stopped playing basketball 10 years ago. I'm going to get going with that again as well....starting with half court games and just getting on a court and shooting…

Beginner runner
I've started running on the threadmill this week. It's pretty cold here and I just couldn't wait running. I go to the gym on my bicycle and then go running there. I have asthma and allergies, so running outside is not a good idea for me. at least not for now. when I've done the 5K on the threadmill I will start running…

Question re: other exercises while doing C25K
Hi! I apologize if this question has been answered already. I try to read as much as I can but might have missed this. I plan on starting C25K tomorrow! My question: can I continue doing my other exercises? I typically walk 7-10 miles a day (most of it is walking to and from work -- I've been doing this since August) and…

New to this group, can I join you?
Hi everyone. I am in my second week of a not-quite-a c25k... I am currently in treatment for breast cancer, totally out of shape and obese. Which is exactly why I am back on MFP website and seeking a workout I can live with. I have always wanted to be a runner (I used to dream about it) but when I tried the traditional…

C25K on the treadmill
Hi guys! I am a total noob when it comes to running. One of my goals this year is to run a 5K! I have head such great things about the program and want to try it! My question is this... Since it's snowy and icy here (I live in Colorado), I would need to start the program on my treadmill. I presume that my brisk walk will…

Newbie
I'm 48 and was a running when I was younger (much younger). I can't do much cardio without feeling like I'm going to fall over. Someone suggested I do the C25K and I've started it and love it. I need some support to get me going on some days and would like to see what others are facing on their journey to the finish line.…

How to keep going?
Hi all! I love this program and one of my goals is to run a 5k though I always fall short. Last summer I made it to week 5 and then life got in the way. My question is what do you do to keep pushing through? To not stop when life gets in the way? I am a full time nursing student and mother of 5 so my life gets out of…

week 1 day 1 I did it
I started w1d1 today. After the first 45- 60 seconds of a slow jog, heavy breathing and weak legs- I thought " what am I doing" seriously, But I kept going and before I was done I could tell I had more energy already.... unbelievable maybe but true. I have always wanted to jog/run ( its on my bucket list of things I want…

Starting W1D1 today
I kinda had to create a week 1/2 to get myself up to this. The last week, I've been doing 1 minute jogs and 2 minute walks. So, now I think I'm ready to start this for real. However… I'm a little nervous. My plantar fasciitis started acting up last week. I've got inserts in my shoes and it's getting better… but I'm still…
